Appena arrivati ci hanno trasferito presso un’altra struttura, ossia l’intercontinental, SENZA NEANCHE AVVISARE. Questo perché lamentavano un problema ad una 50ina di camere dove a detta loro non sarebbe funzionata l’aria condizionata. Peccato che non appena abbiamo chiesto di vedere la camera a noi assegnata per decidere in libertà se fosse troppo calda per noi o meno, perché arrivati alle 18 dopo il viaggio e con un bimbo di 1 anno non volevamo riprendere un taxi ed andare altrove. Non ci hanno fatto vedere la camera nè tantomeno hanno effettuato un upgrade per il disservizio. Molte cose non sono quadrate ma principalmente la mancanza di comunicazione. NON classificabile

Absolutely nothing.

Check-in took almost an hour and the service throughout was horrendous. The hotel itself is incredibly dated, dirty and desperately needs a complete refresh. There is visible dirt and grime along the edges of the carpets, skirting boards and communal areas. Honestly, it feels like a hotel straight out of The Shining — they could film the remake here. The room was equally tired and worn, with a visibly dirty old couch and horrendous lighting. The bathroom amenities also felt cheap and unnecessarily over-formulated. In-room dining was possibly the worst part. The spaghetti bolognese arrived as an enormous bowl of spaghetti covered in a strange yellowish sauce, accompanied by a dry, cold bread basket. We also ordered tacos containing a mystery meat that I still couldn’t identify. The only enjoyable part of the meal was the can of Coke. Overall, an old, worn-out hotel in desperate need of a deep clean, renovation and serious improvement in service.

Obiekt nie powinien nosić nazwy Grand Hyatt. Obiekt jest stary i wymaga remontu. W pokojach od strony Panteonu straszny hałas z ulicy, od strony patio cieknąca woda z basenów. Na śniadaniu brudno i porozrzucane jedzenie. Mimo rezerwacji na trzy noce wyprowadziliśmy się po pierwszej. Zdecydowanie nie polecam. Inne obiekty Hyatt w Abu Zabi czy Hongkongu mają zupełnie inny poziom.

The location is a good one, the food is good, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of options. The downside is that the hotel seems to be understaffed for the number of guests. The staff were visibly overwhelmed, especially during breakfast, when queues would form and the guests had to wait several minutes just to be seated at a table.

The experience was extremely disappointing. We had stayed at this hotel three years ago, but the difference compared to our previous stay was enormous. The first issue we encountered was the lack of cleanliness. There was a layer of dust several millimetres thick in the room, heavy limescale buildup in the bathroom, and we even found an opened bag of chips in the cupboard next to the minibar. On top of that, the smell in the room was unbearable. Although we reported these issues immediately upon arrival and someone came to “address” them, only the smell and the dust were taken care of. The room still did not look or feel properly cleaned. The carpet in the hallway on the second floor was also extremely dirty, which is completely unacceptable for a property that claims to offer 5-star standards. Even more disappointing than the cleanliness — which we initially tried to believe might have been an isolated issue — was the attitude of both the supervisor who came after we reported that it was impossible to stay in the room under those conditions and the receptionist. Both handled the situation very superficially and seemed as though they did not even have the time or interest to listen properly to our concerns. Their attitude gave us the impression that if we were happy with the situation, fine, and if not, they simply did not care. As if this experience had not already been disappointing enough, when we checked out, we accidentally left a phone charger in the room. We contacted the hotel that same day, explained exactly where we had left it, and mentioned that we would be passing through Athens again a week later, asking whether we could collect it then. They replied the following day saying that our request had been forwarded to the Lost & Found team and that we would hear back from them. After three days had passed without any response, we contacted the hotel again.

Bed is genuinely comfortable. Madam Eleni from the transfer desk was very helpful and polite.

Beware. THIS IS NOT A 5 star hotel by any standard. Service is soulless and uninterested (no 24 hours concierge…) , you wait SO MUCH for everything. Rooms need work done (even though I got an upgrade, the toilet in my room was falling off the wall). In the first room the phone wasn’t working and nobody was answering the landline if the hotel: what if I had an emergency?? There is no personal touch when you arrive and no turndown service (which should be standard in a hotel like this). Having stayed there twice in 2 weeks (and after complaining on the first day of my first stay about al this) I didn’t even get a welcome back when I checked in. I didn’t want to go back to this hotel but I had pre payed. Of course, even if I had let them know that I wouldn’t choose them again, they didn’t offer to cancel my stay. Furthermore the area where the hotel is located is foul. After all these complaints were made, of course no significant compensation was made.

The only thing that we love during our stay was the Bed ! Comfortable and really good quality… unfortunately it was the only things positive during our stay in Athens GH…

Where to start… really disappointed stay in Athens Grand Hyatt ! Traveling the world since now 15 years… it’s for the first time that I will have to put a négatif comment online… Once we arrived in the hotel for the check in at 16:15 we got the surprised that the room was not ready and we got a waiting list of around 1h to get our key. It was a huge mess and nothing was organised… (really scary) I’m working in the hospitality as well and there is a huge work to be done to avoid this kind of scenario… Once we got the room we got the second surprise to see the room damaged , drawers, floor with marks , smell in the room… and leakage in the bathroom during our shower… for a 5 star hotel we were expecting something else…. Specially for the price that we paid. During our breakfast once super cute lady who has done and amazing job at the reception for us to feel comfortable but unfortunately the table that we got was near a door (pool side) that was open and close every 2 minutes… it was windy and not really pleasant to stay for one hour sitting at this table… nobody from management did any action and I was the one standing up to close the door when guest was not closing the door properly… And We got one lady from housekeeping entering in our room without to ring the belt, hopefully we just arrived few minutes before in the room… She apologised and left . Hope the high management will have the possibility to read this report and have some solutions for the guest coming in the future… We are leaving Athens full of good memories with my wife and family… Romain

The place is pretty.

Set up is awful. Check out time is 11 and only ones person working? Check in was awful. Coffee one a.m. in the lobby and not another? Water one day and not another? What's with the glass so while taking a shower the people in the room can see you. No shower curtain or door? There's water everywhere when showering. No bathroom close to the lobby. Way overpriced for what you receive.

An excellent option for a short stopover in Athens after a long flight before traveling around beautiful Greece. As always at Hyatt, the mattresses and pillows are top-notch! The rooftop pool and the view of the Acropolis are simply magnificent!

1-check in takes long time many people waiting hours to check in, my room was so far from elevators i have to walk long distances to get the elevator 2-the rooftop pool is very very cold should fix that 3-the beer in rooftop very expensive 10 euros in supermarket is 1-1.5 euros!!!? 4-jacuzzi not in high quality

Schmutzig, schlecht gewartet, ist ein Massentourismus Hotel hunderte reisen an und ab pro Tag... Hat nix mit 5 Sterne Hotel der alten Schule zu tun. Hier gehen Leute nur wegen dem Namen hin. Gang riecht wegen dem Teppich nach Fusskäse! Garage ist eng. Preis Leistung stimmt nicht! War 3 Wochen davor im President Hotel in Athen, hat nur 4 Sterne, bietet aber das gleiche zu besserem Preis.Es ist zudem in Metro nähe was es viel besser macht in der Lage als das Hyatt!

Arrivati in albergo con qualche ora di anticipo rispetto al check-in , la camera non era pronta , mi è stato detto che sarei stata inserita in una lista di priorità ed avvisata tramite e-mail non appena la stanza fosse pronta, cosa che non è mai accaduta . Ho pensato di indossare un costume e sfruttare questo tempo per godere della piscina (anche se nessun operatore me l’aveva proposto) in attesa della e-mail che non è mai arrivata , cosicché alle 17 del pomeriggio ( dopo ben 8 ore di attesa ) ho scritto io una email ed ho ricevuto risposta alle 23 e mi sono recata al desk , dove nessuno si è scusato, nessuno ci ha proposto un upgrade di camera così si conviene in questi casi, mi hanno consegnato la chiave e basta . Esperienza con il personale davvero pessima , l’albergo è molto bello e la vista dalla piscina sul rooftop e’ impagabile ma grazie a questo episodio non ho per nulla un bel ricordo del soggiorno

It has been more than a month since we checked out, yet I still have not received the €200 deposit back. This is truly unreasonable, especially considering that the information about the deposit was only provided at check-in, along with a promise that the amount would be refunded within two days after check-out. I would appreciate an immediate update on the status of my refund and the prompt return of the deposit.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had I honestly struggle to understand how a hotel operating under the Hyatt name can provide such an unacceptable level of service. Let’s start with the parking. The hotel gives the impression that parking is available, but this is extremely misleading. The parking is not the hotel’s parking. It is a separate parking facility next to the hotel, which costs €18 per night, or an absurd €31 per night if you use the valet service. This should be stated clearly and honestly when booking instead of making it sound like the hotel provides parking. Then we arrived for check-in — and waited ONE AND A HALF HOURS just to get checked in. Yes, 90 minutes. Just to check in. For a hotel charging the prices this place charges and using the Hyatt name, this is absolutely ridiculous. There was a long queue, very poor organization, and apparently very little urgency from the staff to actually solve the situation. After travelling and arriving at a hotel, the last thing anyone expects is to spend an hour and a half standing in line like they are checking into a budget hostel. We had also made a mistake when booking and selected a room with two beds instead of one. We politely asked the receptionist if she could simply check whether there was any possibility of changing the room to one with a single bed. She didn't even try. She simply said there was nothing available. No attempt to check. No effort to offer an alternative. No willingness to help whatsoever. And unfortunately, this was not an isolated interaction. The attitude of the bellboy at the entrance, the valet outside, and the receptionist inside was consistently unpleasant, dismissive and completely unhelpful. What is particularly shocking is that these are the very first people a guest encounters. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt like we were bothering them by being there.

55' d'attente pour le Check in. Debout, sans un geste (mon épouse a 70 ans et moi je suis âgé de 75 ans) ni un mot d'explication. Arrivée dans une chambre malodorante (tuyaux des eaux usées). De nouveau attente de 90' pour qu'une intervention se fasse. Ce temps passé à attendre alors que notre séjour durait 16 heures a gâché la perception très favorable que nous avions eu la semaine précédente où nous avions séjourné plusieurs jours. Sauf l'hôtesse présente pour le Check in : aucune excuse de la direction.

Rooftop pool

Check-in was chaotic with a long queue. Seemed to be like this all day long. The room and corridors smelled, almost like smoke. In general, the hotel felt run down and dirty.

Rooms could do with an update, no need for such huge televisions in rooms as it doesn’t leave room for a dressing table mirror to sit down to dry hair and put make up on.

The staff were very good and efficient right from the reception to the restaurant. The outdoor pool and the spa were exceptional and the gym also carried good quality equipment. The view of the Acropolis from the restaurant is wonderful.

The check and check out process is a nightmare and this bit still worries me if I were to ever go back to this property in Athens.

Maior atraso para check-in que já experienciei na minha vida. Funcionários mau educados na piscina e serviço de front desk é atendido por pessoas robóticas e ineficientes que não entregaram, passado 15 dias, o documento legalmente requerido que é a fatura da hospedagem

Everything else was horrible. Room was dirty nothing was plugged in including all lights the amount of dust and debris was ridiculous, we waited 45 minutes infront of the hotel in our car as no one was available to indicate parking or valet parking then waited another 45 minutes to check in; as there are 2 receptionists which appear friendly but do not care about their guests and put on a Fake Performance. They then take 15-20 minutes per individual guests whilst putting everyone in a queue. We had one night as a layover before our honeymoon and specifically told them So( we got married 3 days before) we where given the communicating room of another room with 2 separate individual beds and could hear a party going on next door till early hours of the morning When we complained multiple times about it nothing was done. It is the worst experience i have ever had in my life in a hotel. Strongly strongly do not recommend.

I never review accommodations but the staff at this hotel were 10/10. Thank you Poppy, Helen and Joanna at the Spa space for making my time there great. Thank you Sophia at the rooftop restaurant for being such a nice person to talk to. Thanks to the guys dealing with the luggage, Gianni you are so kind! The views from the rooftop are fabulous. The spa is lovely and always empty.

Great experience, best pool in Athens

Decent location, room was clean, we were able to do late check- out, which was nice.

Check-in took a very long time - about an hour and a half, would be nice if they had additional staff and stations to help at peak check-in hours. The shower was not great, it sprayed in odd directions and didn’t drain well so there was some flooding onto the bathroom floor due to the lack of a full shower door.

Unfreundliches Personal an der Rezeption und am Morgenbuffet (am ersten Tag). Gangteppiche haben gestunken, waren schmutzig und in einem abgegangenen Zustand. Die Möbel waren stark abgewohnt, Armaturen waren lose, Parket im Eingangsbereich des Zimmers in schlechtem Zustand, Vorhang war defekt. Am Pool wurde nicht bedient und auch nicht abserviert. Die Gegend ist in keinem belebten Viertel.

Die beiden Rooftop-Pools mit Blick auf die Akropolis sind einfach fantastisch - auch der obere Frühstücksraum ist wunderschön - man kann im 8. oder 9. Stock frühstücken - Empfehlung der 9. 🤩. Das Zimmer war auch schön. Das Hotel bietet so viel: Gym, Spa, einen weiteren Pool im 1. Stock, das konnten wir leider nicht nutzen, da wir nur 2 Nächte dort waren und man sich ja die meiste Zeit in Athen aufhält und nicht im Hotel - daher mein Tipp - länger bleiben 😉 Frühstück hatte eine riesen Auswahl, leider waren manche Dinge nicht mehr richtig warm (Beans, Bacon) - aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Wir waren zu Fuß von der Akropolis in 30 min wieder am Hotel - es fährt auch in 2 Minuten Entfernung der Bus- also die Lage ist top. Wir kamen vom Hafen Piräus mit dem Taxi nach 8 Minuten an.

Die Sauberkeit am Rooftop-Pool dürfte etwas besser sein - da es dort auch eine Bar gibt, lagen leider Crackerkrümel auf dem Boden und Servietten und Plastik vom Strohhalm im Pool. Kann passieren, aber dann wäre es super, wenn das schneller entsorgt werden würde- sowie auch Zigarettenstummel und leere Gläser.

Modern pool and bar facilities. Great views from rooftop! Huge buffet breakfast with every option you could think of!

Check in was very slow. Our deluxe king room was more like a standard double and no balcony made it feel even smaller. Shower needs an upgrade, very old stained tiles made it feel unhygienic. Location not really near anything (which we were aware of) but free shuttle bus from hotel was helpful. Next time we will stay in a better location.

Exceptional pool and spa

Breakfast overlooking the Parthenon is the most surreal experience that one could have. The hotel offers a great view of the city the the Acropolis. Food in the restaurant is good.

Lift is small and cramped up. During peak hours, it take a long time before you can hop on one. Thankfully we were on the third floor and hence stairs was a good option.

The property was clean and lovely. Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff and a great view of the Acropolis.

The reception staff and admin staff were terrible. They made promises with no follow through. The airline had left my luggage and were delivering it to the hotel. The reception staff stated they would call when it arrived. I was out with no phone calls. They are difficult to contact from outside the hotel. No answer, so I had to come back to the hotel in the middle of sight seeing to follow up. Reception then said it hadn’t arrived, only to find, it had arrived and the bellboy had put it in my room. Charged my credit card for the room ( which was prepaid) after check out) and then ignored my calls, telling me I had to email. 2 weeks, 3 emails and multiple phone calls, I finally got someone from reservations to listen and organise my refund. Wasn’t what I wanted during my holiday. Disappointing.

Breakfast options were good

1 person working on the check in desk - took 40 mins to check in. Staff were generally uninterested bordering on rude. Rooftop top pool- nowhere to sit as people left towels on sun beds to ‘reserve’ them but didn’t seem to be at the pool area. Terrible location on a busy road with lots of strip clubs and businesses.

The meals areas were great and the service at the meals areas were great, and the rooms were clean and tidy. Lots of free bottles of water which was great

We had an hour and a half check in wait, then were issued a room another guest was also issued. We paid extra for first room to have a balcony. Had to go get another room as dbl booked us, so got another room issued, then went up to find no balcony even though we'd paid extra for one 30mins earlier. Went down and complained after another 30 min wait, and got another room issued (no looking after us after all that, just a standard room worse than the original one they dbl booked us with). Please get more staff on the front desk, service was not grand Hyatt level.

The rooftop pool and bar are amazing, I don’t think you would get a better view of the Acropolis anywhere else in Athens

Our room was far from clean. There was hair everywhere and the tops of benches/fridge are sticky and not clean. We had booked for 3 adults and they thought us a fold out that was just big enough for a child let alone an adult.

I genuinely wasn’t impressed about anything at the property

It’s a huge hotel we had to wait over 30 min in line to check in and there was so many kids it felt like checking in to an amusement park. We forgot our key in the room once we had to wait in the line again to get a replacement. Very poorly managed and too busy with kids and families .

L’hôtel dispose de 4 piscines : une intérieure, 2 sur le rooftop avec une très belle vue et une au rdc plus au calme.

L’emplacement au bord d’une route assez fréquenté

Camerele sunt foarte spatioase si paturile foarte confortabile, la fel si dusul. Piscina rooftop ofera o panorama superba asupra orasului si monumentului Acropole

Serviciile sunt execrabile. Am asteptat la coada pentru check-in 1 ora, desi am ajuns la ora 18:00. Lifturile sunt imposibil de luat, dureaza o vesinicie. E ok sa folosesti scarile daca te deplasezi fara bagaje dar cu trollere de 25 kg nu poti sa urci si sa cobori 6 etaje ca alternativa. Cheile de la camera ni s-au dezactivat si nu am putut sa intram in camera, serviciul de la terasa de langa piscina extrem de lent. Bauturile scumpe si mediocre. La un hotel de 5 stele serviciile ar trebui sa faca diferenta. Nu este cazul aici.

Waiting time for check in, the service of the room was chocking my room was never cleaned properly To add to this, it has now been 3 weeks since I checked out and I have not received my deposit of €250 as a refund. Despite trying to contact the hotel numerous times, over both Booking.com and their email address, I have had no successful responses and still yet to receive my sizable deposit. Frankly unacceptable.

Good staff and breakfast

The worse experience of my life to check in they make people stand in line like airports and it takes like 1 to 1.5 hours to do so because they only have 2 reception people for 550 rooms hotel … we pay for 5 stars to get good service not to be treated like this , honestly never seen something like that in my life treble experience and with our baby !!!!!
