Handy location, clean facilities, friendly staff, convenient parking, tasty restaurant, comfy room and bed.
All good.
버클리 대학교로 이동이 편한 위치에 있고 가성비 훌륭한 호텔이라고 생각이 됩니다.
The view
Great location & able to walk to shops, marina; free bus to BART nearby
Mediocre and expensive breakfast; very mediocre coffee; limited snack options for purchase: all processed foods, no fresh fruit. This hotel’s access is not secure or safe - guests should only be able to access elevators with their room keys. Anyone can access hotel elevators without a guest key, especially since the hotel is located near I-80.
Really enjoyed the bay and city view and being on that side of the hotel minimized any traffic noise plus the location was very convenient! It was also really nice having a small but well stocked mini mart on site.
The upper floor room was very clean and quiet and the bed was really comfortable but the pillows offered little if any support.
The location is convenient.
I arrived at 10:30 pm. The thermostat was stuck on 90^o F for the AC. I was more comfortable when I just turned it off, because it was 55^o F outside. But of course I couldn't open a window. I called the front desk, but the hotel was full, so I couldn't change rooms. I can't believe that a previous guest did not call (it was July) and complain. I was to stay two nights, left after one. But, the story has a happy ending, I found a gorgeous Airbnb in the hills of Oakland, Montclair, for half the price of the Hilton.
A very so so stay. With a very large problem - no hot water at night. Ran the taps for a very long time thinking it was a high floor issue. But no hot water could be found either night of my stay. I did get morning hot water (not super hot) but very low water pressure throughout the stay. Upper floor rooms on bay view side - also need to keep drapes drawn or the afternoon sun makes the room a sauna. The AC could not keep up. The AC also turned off randomly.
The breakfast was spot on , location was great
Nothing that I could think of
I like the location. Close to freeway.
7/9 I to Gina , I was very upset when I went to room at 11.30 PM 7/8 there was no clean towels and no One clean the bed. The toilet was unsanitized.I never seen like this. Hilton is 5 star hotel. I used to work for Ecolab for 8 yrs in Indonesia and LA. Also owned travel agent in Bandung, Indohesia and the US My wife used to work at JAL, JKT and ANA in the US for 21 yrs.
The cleaning staff knocked on my door at 9am to clean my room, Check out isn’t until noon.

We enjoyed many features of this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived from the train station. That set us up for a great experience. There was everything we needed in the room and they had upgraded us to a higher floor. As a curtesy, they had also upgraded another family member coming a few days later to the same floor. We appreciated the large window which gave the room lots of natural light and the blackout curtain worked well when we wanted to sleep. We also needed the privacy curtain because there were painters outside our window that could peer in. Unlike the dark bar area with the uncomfortable chairs where dinner is offered, the breakfast area is very pleasant with a variety of seating arrangements to choose from. They offered hot breakfast, but we were content purchasing the less expensive continental breakfast which included hot oatmeal. The kitchen staff was very gracious, providing a milk alternative for my protein shake and letting me use the toaster for my own special bread. We had a family visit in the evening and we were grateful that the hotel has an outdoor eating area where we could all hang out and share pizza. Unfortunately, anyone that parks at the hotel has to pay $30.00 and there isn’t a designated place for a friend or a Lyft driver to pick up guests. One of the outstanding features of the Hilton brand is the comfortable beds: this hotel was no exception. The bonus feature was the large night stand area next to the King bed for me to put my CPAP machine on as well as plenty of USB ports. The air conditioner worked well but was still a bit noisy adding to the roar of the freeway below. Fortunately, we didn’t hear the train whistle or BART zooming past. The other thing that really bothered me was their pet policy. We were ready to go to bed at 10 p.m. but there was a dog in the next room yapping loudly for quite a while. When I went down to the front desk to ask about it (the phone in the room didn’t seem to work) they told me there was nothing they could do since the owner paid for the dog to stay with them. Eventually, the security person came to check to see if the dog had been left in the room alone and before long the barking stopped. In the morning, when we went to breakfast, we saw a dog sitting on a cushion at one of the tables in the dining room being fed by the owner. I didn’t complain since it was the alternative to a dog being left alone in a hotel room bothering everyone down the hall by yapping. The bathroom had some nice features: plenty of fresh towels, shelves for toiletries, and an adjustable shower (if you are tall enough to reach the control). Unfortunately, the water temperature wasn’t consistent and I never got a really hot shower. They have a picture in the bathroom over the toilet rather than extra towel rails which were sorely needed to hang used towels. One of the other amenities not mentioned on the website and not signposted in the hotel is a laundry room with coin operated machines. They even sell detergent in the snack shop and well as toiletries and food. What we missed the most was an indoor pool—they only offered an outdoor hot tub and the weather was too cold for that. Because of the location next to a freeway it isn’t a great place to walk around and most of the shops and restaurants are on the other side. Despite the few annoyances, there were so many good things about this hotel that we would be happy to stay here again.
Good accommodations and clean.
The location was hard to get to from the train station.
pricing and views great
Room was a little dirty low effort put in clean up, staff a bit unhelpful at times, outside furniture a mess, Saturday night front desk worker just not helpful seemed to be bothered by me when I asked for help. water pitched empty and sat for hours like that
Great views and customer service
The glass doors on the bathroom would move or open like the building was on an angle
The location was close to the surgical center I was scheduled at. The room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet.
I felt the waitress could have had extra help during dinner. She did well while we were there, but struggled getting the tables cleaned for patrons coming in.
Good location and super friendly staff
Location
Small parking lot
Friendly staff, large well appointed room. Easy location to get in and out of.
Nothing
This hotel, with more than 10 floors, is located in a very busy area where Interstates 80, 580, and 880 meet. Traffic noise was clearly audible in the room despite the windows being closed. The hotel offers all the basic amenities you might need, but nothing is complimentary. Breakfast costs $23, parking is $30, and there is no airport shuttle service. The rooms were clean during my stay, and all staff very friendly. But if I'm in the area again, I'll probably choose a different place to stay.
The bed and view
Was next to elevator and heard it all night
Not what I expect from a Hilton Garden Inn.. Checked in after midnight after a long and tiring coast to coast flight. Night desk clerk seemed irritated he had to check someone in. Never mentioned me being a long term Diamond member. Never gave me any water bottles or a snack gift. When asked about a meal credit, he said to check with the morning shift- he didnt know anything about it.. BUT he said the only breakfast option was a $25 buffet. Bed and room were fine at checkin. After a full day out and about came back to a room that wasn't serviced. Mentioned that the next morning to clerk and they called housekeeping to insure it would be serviced that day.. I later found out (we stayed four nights) that the local policy was to only service the rooms every other day ( I guess we're supposed to dry off the second day with wet towels). Coffee machine in lobby was broken over the weekend. Area near elevator on 12th floor was packed with large garbage bags at 4pm during the day.. maybe that was only serviced every other day too.

Can’t complain

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I enjoy staying at different properties throughout the Hilton portfolio. Travelling to the Bay Area on Amtrak this property looked to be convenient to the Emeryville station, so I chose it. A few days before my stay, I was upgraded. The upgrade was a "city view" room which faces the Bay and thus San Francisco. Not really an upgrade to me, given the fact that I'm did not travel from my home on the East Coast to stare out a window at water and a city skyline. As I always do, I checked-in and chose my room via the Hilton app the day before arrival. The problem I had upon getting off my Amtrak train was the walk over there. The Emeryville station is on the east side of the tracks, and the hotel is a couple blocks west of it, and on the other side of a freeway underpass. Powell Street goes over the tracks on a bridge, and there are signs directing pedestrians to a parallel pedestrian crossing on the same bridge. Following those signs leads one to a huge stairway, which was very hard to negotiate with a heavy suitcase. And then after crossing over the tracks, another huge stairway down to ground level. And underneath the overpass, well you can imagine that homeless people call that home so one has to deal with that unpleasantness as well. Then to cross Christie Avenue, there are no crosswalks, but signs directing you to go a block north, cross, and then return south to Powell, making the trip even longer. Then you have to cross the intersection where traffic enters and leaves the freeway, and walk underneath the overpass before getting closer to the hotel. Overall, it is a walk that is not for the weak or faint-hearted, so readers should keep all of that in mind. For the stay itself, I had no issues with the room. It took a while for me to cool it down from the setting sun (remember the room faces west), but it became comfortable in an hour or two. This hotel was also chosen because I had inquired about whether they had availability of guest laundry, and they did. Unfortunately, there is only one washer and one dryer, which means not many people can do their wash at once. While I didn't have to wait, two other parties wanted came along and were waiting for mine to finish. They need a bigger room and more machines. I found the room to be ample size, no problems with TV, WiFi, or the climate control once I got the air conditioner cranking for a while. The bathroom had enough space to put down my toiletries, and no issues with hot water. And that "City View"? It was foggy so the view wasn't a view at all. Weather is not the hotel's fault, but I'm glad I didn't pay more for a room with a view had I expected to enjoy that feature. In the morning, I had a long busy day, and my travels began on BART, not Amtrak, so I wisely summoned Uber and was on my way in a few minutes. Overall the hotel is in a good location, but the obstacle course I had to walk from Amtrak made that part of my trip a challenge. Not any fault of the property, but future travelers should not be misled by how close the hotel looks to the station.
Comfortable bed
Front desk staff was rude. The bathroom had a bad smell. There was a machinery like noise throughout the night in the room and bathroom.
the view and the room was fine
it has no to staff to help with luggage or any other needs associated with mobility issues. lots of construction going on. there was no luggage unloading zone and the carts to use for luggage did have not been maintained well. I had a very difficult time getting my luggage to my room and vice versa when leaving. I will not stay there again
Access accessibility
Wasn’t able to eat at the restaurant for dinner or lunch got there too late the first night and it was closed for the next two days breakfast buffet overpriced
Очень чисто. В номере есть все необходимое. Вкусный ужин.
Не понравился завтрак.
Location was great.
I did not have breakfast because I had to pay for it.
I love that i asked for a room upgrade and they granted it for free. It was very near Amtrak Emeryville and I could have walked! Also the hotel was near a Denny's Ross, Trader Joe's, etc. and most importantly a beautiful trail that is about 2.8 miles long.
When I arrived, a Sunday, there were no open on-site restaurant.
The staff was super nice. It was quiet and clean
The pillows are flat.
Clean and close to the train station
They didn’t clean the room and didn’t provide clean towels. They said that they clean the room if I stayed more than two days, and I think that’s not a good thing for me to recommend you.
I loved the jacuzzi went with my boyfriend really relaxing and we stopped by the little store they have and bought some delicious chocolate covered strawberries overall a nice little staycation
The tv was outdated and a little frustrating to use would be nice if they had better ones
Very clean, very good internet, supportive staff
The website said parking available. Didn’t see that it was $30/night. It said breakfast it didn’t say $23/person.
I would give this property 10 stars if I could! I’ll start with the property itself; the reception area was clean and inviting, the food in the restaurant was a surprisingly big portion, and the bedroom was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The real gem of this property are the people that work there. My eldest brother passed away and I had to quickly make arrangements to visit The Bay Area for a few days while I handled his final affairs. Every single person I encountered was kind, compassionate, respectful, helpful. They all expressed their condolences, and Erika allowed my family to use the conference room so we could hold a family meeting to finalize my brother’s arrangements. It was such a big relief to know that my lodging was handled with care and compassion during such a stressful time. I really want to thank Ancira, Gina, Erika, and Yasmine for their outstanding professionalism, hospitality, and compassion during my stay! There was another young lady who was extremely helpful!! She got my dad some hazelnut creamer for his coffee and was very accommodating when I needed to extend my checkout. I didn’t get her name, but I also appreciate her hospitality as well. This type of customer service will absolutely keep me as a returning Hilton customer! You should give them all a raise!
Rude front desk lady and man they just looked at me when I walked in to check In no hello welcome in. Nothing horrible service, she didn’t offer breakfast time or hours of bar and spa I had to ask her pillows are flat shower is good hot and pressure is good bathroom tiny rust dirt on walls In bathroom and around frame of door mold and rust windows ate filthy can’t see the view that you pay for! Breakfast was standard nothing fresh made all pre made food besides the waffles you make your self to parking $30 bucks And this was my anniversary trip with my boyfriend so for it to be basic service nothing over the top is ridiculous especially when I’m a Hilton honors member late check out they couldn’t give an hour. They wanted to give like 15 minutes. It was just a lot of unprofessionalism going on the lady in the kitchen was by far the most professional and courteous the person that serve served breakfast and she did it all by herself no help.
All went well
The size of my room.
We Decided to have our 50th Class Reunion there Holy Names High School in Oakland ca however checking in i.was very excited however that changed i used the big hotel cart when I went up to the 14th floor the room that they gave me I couldn't get to because there were stairs I looked around and I couldn't believe they gave me a room with stairs and I couldn't lift or try to pull im disabled I seen a worker with a cart I asked for help he just.smiled and said nothing while I ask for help I try to call on my cellphone because on the 14th floor no phone where you can call down to the front desk no direct line at all so I couldn't leave the cart there because I had my luggage and things on it .
when
Felt a little nickel and dimed. Parking was steep, $30 a day. I asked for a room on a higher floor and was told that would be an additional $20 a day. Room was okay, no slippers (not even cheap ones!), no in-room safe. Housekeeping comes every other day. Ironing board needed to be replaced. There was only cable TV in the room, no smart TV so I couldn't watch my streaming services. Ended up watching my iPad. Used fitness center and the hand sanitizer dispensers where both empty. I enjoyed the complimentary coffee though.
Location to trader Vic. The view from the second room.
The whole vibe here was off. From the Jerry rigged clothesline rope cordoning off of the parking lot to obtain fees to the $26 breakfast it was all just a little off. Be aware even guests have to pay $3.50 an hour to park. Handicap plates does not give exception, That's unusual in the hospitality industry. My first room (paying for a view because that's extra) consisted of overlooking the window washers and paint crew. The smell of chemicals possibly rug glue was overwhelming. Upon returning to the desk stating to the manager asking for a room with a view must have been a trick question. After a few minutes of eye rolling our room was transferred. I was satisfied with the second room assignment It was just a drag to go through this at a Hilton. This hotel just us not meet Hilton standards on any level.I'll insert eye roll here. It all appears okay but on a closer look most of the effort put into this location it's just window dressing. Bathroom sink etc on first glance appeared okay on closer examination It could have used a good scrubbing. There are two more Hyatt right down the road that put in due diligence and effort offering a better value and location as well
The staff provided exceptional service. Raguel especially provided exceptional customer service! She assisted me with changes to my reservation as well as an adjustment to my room to accommodate my physical limitations. She also assisted me with how parking works.
The fact that I had to check out!
Friendly staff, clean room, view and good food.
Everything was great
Friendly staff, after experiencing the worst possible treatment at the Hyatt place across the street. The room was nice, and clean. The breakfast was delicious & they had friendly staff working in there as well.
That you have to pay for parking, however it was less than the Hyatt place was charging.
view
The staff are friendly.
I was bitten by a bug in bed.
Great staff and beautiful location
Super windy outside but can’t control that
I LOVED THE LOCATION....That is always most important to me! Price was a good value, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. You can beat that!
No complaints or disappointments!
I stay here often for business and it never disappoints.
Nothing. I love it every time.
Very clean and great view of the bay
Had to pay 30 dollars for parking
It was nice to have a little store with snacks connected to the lobby.
Staff could have been friendlier. The hotel is just old and could use some updating. Just didn't have a good vibe overall. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The towels were rough. Ice machine didn't work on my floor. The added cost of parking is ridiculous. I could have stayed at a holiday inn express that was updated with free parking and breakfast!
I came to watch the NYE fireworks from Treasure Island - the view was excellent, the room was cozy and quiet even though I was close to the elevator.
