Liked the Location. It is close to most of the cultural buildings and the waterfront.

The hotel didnt have a flexible cancellation policy. No free cancellation was given and also request to charge for one night instead of two was denied.

Fernbedienung war kaputt und wurde nicht repariert.

Preis Leistung sehr gut. Ist erste Hotel die eine Nespresso Kaffeemaschine und originale Nespresso kapseln im Zimmer und Lobby zur Verfügung stellen einfach top. Das Frühstück Buffet grossartig. Lage auch sehr ruhig und zu Fuss 10-15min bis zum Haupt Zentrum. Nicht weit weg von der U-Bahn beim Theater platz.

Had a lovely stay at Thon Hotel Europa — comfortable rooms, a warm atmosphere, and very welcoming staff. Great location and service, making it a convenient and pleasant stay in Oslo!

Petit déjeuner varie et copieux. Chambre calme et bonne literie et oreillers. ( à demander sinon on peut être côté tram ) Très central ( 5 minutes du théâtre national ) Restaurant attenant bon choix de plats. Quartier calme et sur. Bien desservi avec bus et trams.

Seulement du the ou café au petit déjeuner. Pas de cappuccino, chocolat chaud ou autre. Le ménage est à la demande et ça n’a pas été fait une fois pendant notre séjour. Une fois l’eau était uniquement tiède pour la douche ( le soir ) Salle de bains assez petite. Deco impersonnel.

I liked the staff and their kind attitude. They were always pleasant and tried to accommodate all our needs. I also like the location which was close to the park and the palace.

The mini bar was not working, the safe box was no working, the tvs were not working, there was no air conditioning in the room and at night the rooms felt like an oven especially since even the windows would not open. The three nights we stayed at the hotel we could not sleep. The hotel staff had placed two fans in our r suit but there were only three outlets for electricity and all three were in the bedroom none in the sitting room.

Hotel centralissimo e silenzioso. La struttura è pulita e accogliente, lo staff gentile e disponibile. Colazione ottima e varia, sia dolce che salata. Letti comodi e molti cuscini per tutti i gusti!

Bardzo miły i pomocny personel. Kupiłem sobie kilka produktów, jako pamiątki do Polski i w ostatni dzień pobytu poprosiłem personel o przechowanie w ich lodówce, ponieważ miałem późny lot. Zgodzili się bez wahania. Wszelkie pozostałe kwestie dotyczące organizacji były rozwiązywane od ręki

Poprawiłbym wystrój łazienki. Trochę przestarzały i przygnębiający, a w rogach płytek widać już mocne ślady ich zużycia.

La posizione è sicuramente uno dei punti di forza dell’hotel, molto comoda per visitare la città. Anche la colazione è buona. Tuttavia, considerando nel complesso la struttura e i servizi offerti, il prezzo è decisamente troppo alto e il rapporto qualità-prezzo non è soddisfacente.

La stanza più sporca che abbia mai trovato in un hotel. Il secondo giorno mi sono accorta che sotto il letto c’era addirittura una patatina, sicuramente non nostra, che è rimasta lì per tutti i tre giorni e le tre notti del soggiorno nonostante abbia chiesto la pulizia quotidiana della stanza: un dettaglio che dice molto sulla pulizia delle camere. Sollevando il topper, inoltre, abbiamo trovato sporcizia e residui tra questo e il materasso, cosa particolarmente sgradevole e inaccettabile dal punto di vista dell’igiene. Polvere e sporcizia erano visibili ovunque sul pavimento, i muri erano sporchi e sia le porte sia le testiere dei letti erano unte e chiaramente poco pulite. In generale, l’hotel appare trascurato, dozzinale e piuttosto malandato. Considerando anche il prezzo pagato, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è davvero pessimo. Anche il bagno è estremamente spartano e poco curato: la doccia è ricavata direttamente sul pavimento, senza un vero piatto doccia e con una semplice parete in vetro a separarla dal resto del bagno. L’insieme dà l’impressione di un ambiente vecchio, molto essenziale e poco confortevole.

Na ja, sie wollen enstpannt den Fly Zug zum Flughafen nehmen, und siehe da die Stadt hat sich gedacht wir machen dararus eine Baustelle. Alles zu, klar kann man ein Taxi nehmen; ihr Entusiasmus verschwindet beim erfahren des Preises. ,

I travelled to Norway for leisure, as every year in beginning of August. This is my second time in THON HOTEL EUROPA and experience for this year is even better than last year.

El desayuno variado y de muy buena calidad. Excelente servicio. Variedad de frutas, panes, quesos, y proteínas.

No hay suplementos de aseo personal, solo jabon de ducha y jabon de manos.

Wir waren schon vor 7 Jahren hier und fanden besonders das Frühstücksbuffet unübertroffen - in Frische, Qualität, Auswahl, Wir waren einfach hingerissen, und dieser großartige Eindruck vom Hotel blieb uns jahrelang in Erinnerung. Für uns war klar: Kommen wir wieder nach Oslo, muß es unbedingt genau dieses Hotel sein. ABER - was soll ich sagen? Das Frühstück ist noch immer sehr gut und reichhaltig, wenn es auch seither nachgelassen hat. Das Servicepersonal beim Frühstück ist äußerst aufmerksam. Besonders der ältere Mitarbeiter ist immer sehr besorgt, schaut ständig, ob Besteck beim Buffet nicht klebrig in den Schalen liegt, säubert stets den Boden, wenn etwas runtergetropft oder -gefallen ist, wischt immer wieder über die Oberflächen - all das in einer unaufdringlichen und dezenten, aber sehr sorgfältigen Weise. DIESER MITARBEITER IST GROßARTIG!!! Großes Lob!!!

Aber abgesehen davon, ist von dem Glanz der positiven Erinnerung nicht mehr viel übrig. Das ganze Hotel wirkt sehr abgewohnt, die Spannteppiche am Gang machen einen sehr verschmutzten und alten Eindruck. Erschütternd war für mich die erste Frage beim Check-In: "Wie oft soll das Zimmer gereinigt werden?" Was für eine Frage - "Täglich!", würde ich sagen. Wir wollten aber nicht unhöflich sein und einigten uns auf eine Zwischenreinigung in der Mitte unseres Aufenthaltes (4 Nächte). Die Duschabtrennung im Bad war ein Witz, keine Klima, der Safe war versperrt. Beim Zimmerservice wurden zwar die Handtücher etc. getauscht und ein wenig über die Oberflächen gewischt, das Bett wurde aber nicht gemacht, Haare waren noch immer im Bad (Abfluß und Oberflächen). Nach Reklamation am darauffolgenden Tag wurde zwar nachgebessert (das Bett gemacht und die Handtücher wieder getauscht), der Duschvorleger jedoch eingespart und Haare lagen weiterhin herum - das Hochladen dieser Photos spare ich mir. Auf Reinigung und Sauberkeit wird offensichtlich wenig Wert gelegt. Vielleicht haben wir damals das Hotel auf Grund des super Frühstücks einfach nur verklärt. So wird uns aber auch der diesmalige Eindruck jahrelang in Erinnerung bleiben. Für uns ist klar: Kommen wir wieder nach Oslo, muß es unbedingt ein anderes Hotel sein.

It is an exceptionally well-run property where everything came together effortlessly to deliver a comfortable and memorable stay. ​The Highlights: ​Spacious Rooms & Great Views: Our room was wonderfully spacious and overlooked a peaceful park right in front of the hotel. Even though we were positioned near the elevator, the room was quiet and comfortable. ​Exceptional Dining: The breakfast spread was so delicious and varied that it set the bar for our entire trip. In fact, we enjoyed the food so much that we chose to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant every single evening! ​Thoughtful Extras & Service: The staff were genuinely friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Having free coffee and tea available in the reception area was a fantastic, cozy touch. ​Verdict: With zero complaints, excellent dining, and top-tier service, Thon Hotel Europa is a gem. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit viel Platz. Frühstück im „benachbarten“ Restaurant, welches zu Hotel gehört. Grosszügiges Angebot mit viel Auswahl. Freundliche Reception. Kostenfreier Kaffee in der Lobby. Auch für ToGo. In Gehdistanz zum Königspalast und Shoppingstrasse.

Badezimmer zu klein und keine Ablageflächen. Zudem ein störender Tritt. Sehr kleines Lavabo.

Nice staff who helped me get a room as short notice

Basic budget hotel. The room gets warm even in moderate summer weather. Although the window does open, and they give you a cheap fan to blow some air in. Bathroom is small, with an RV-style shower. Expect the entire bathroom floor to get wet! Our room only came with shampoo, no body wash or soap. Breakfast is included and is pretty good!

Quiet and fairly central located right next to Royal Castle and History Museum and Main Street, Karl Johan. Clean, efficient and fine breakfast. Well worth the money.

In 2026 am hotel without air conditioning in the rooms should be rated 1 star. Totally unacceptable when outside there are 30 degrees.

When staying at a hotel you hope to find kind staff who are creative problem solvers. There was one single staff member at the hotel that actually appeared to care about the needs of guests. I do not recommend this hotel for this reason. The room was clean, the hotel breakfast was nice, but for the cost of the hotel the experience with staff left much to be desired.

I would stay here again just for the breakfast buffet, which was fantastic. Breads and cereals, plus a wide selection of hot items, continental breakfast including smoked salmon, etc. It's a very European hotel -- North Americans will find the rooms small, especially the bathrooms, where the shower is separated from the rest of the room by only a partial glass wall. Clean, quiet (well, we did hear Norway score all four goals in its first World Cup match from a football venue nearby). Another time I would consider staying at the Thon Opera, next to the train station, as there was not a lot open near Europa in the evening.

Location was excellent - just a 2 minute walk to the Royal Palace and only 15 minutes to the local train station. The Reception desk is manned 24 hours a day and the staff who spoke fluent English were professional, courteous and very accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean and well furnished. It had all the facilities we needed during our 4 night stay. The breakfast was outstanding with more choice than anyone could ever need at a great price. I could unhesitatingly recommend the Thon Hotel Europa to anyone thinking of staying in Oslo.

This is the second time we stay at Thon Hotel Europa. Both my wife and I truly appreciate the staff members professionalism and friendliness. The staff members help us with what weeded, and room is clean. If we ever go back to Oslo, we want to stay there again!

We take the bus and Tram in the City. It is easy. The Munch Museum is very good, although the Vigelnd Legget.

Die Lage in der Nähe des Schlosses war ideal um die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß, mit der Metro, mit dem Bus oder mit der Straßenbahn zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und vielfältig. Das Hotel ist absolut zu empfehlen.

City center. Easy location and very accessible.

Not all the staff, but the front desk lady is not being helpful at all. I had trouble with the TV and talking about the problem. She kept on writing on the keyboard without hearing me out. I felt very disrespected. I understand if she couldn't helped me right away, but hey, listen please!!! it just shows how disconnected you are to the customer.

Banheira sem qualquer proteção, a casa de banho fica toda molhada depois do duche! Pedimos limpeza diária, mas o chão do quarto nunca foi limpo! Estivemos 3 noites, desde a nossa chegada até ao último dia ficaram sempre coisas no chão!

Customer service lacks at this hotel. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. When we arrived and went to our room, I noticed the safe didn't work. I told the front desk at about 1:30 that it didn't work. When we came back from our travels about six, no one had looked at the safe yet. I told the front desk again it didn't work, so she went to our room to reset it. She came back and told us it still didn't work, so she was going to put a repair order in for us. The next day when we came back from our travels, the safe still didn't work. And no one even looked at it. I gave the front desk a piece of my mind and he said he would put a repair order in for me. The next day (our last), we came back from our travels and the safe worked! It turned out it just needed some new batteries. Now if they only would have done that the first day so we could actually use the safe that would be have been nice. Instead they have a displeased customer who wasn't able to use the safe.
