The gym is fantastic with a fabulous outlook. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is great. Breakfast was excellent. A light complimentary dinner is available in the evenings.

It is a personal thing but from what I could see all of the rooms are interior facing with a window that can't be opened and it overlooks the atrium where breakfast is served. Unless you close the blackout curtains, it is not private. There were scheduled works on the 8th floor (which I wasn't told about prior to arrival or on checkin) I spoke to the Manager, they offered I could move rooms but for a two night stay I didn't wish to. The Manager did apologise but I hope they know to inform guests in advance in the future and offer the option to stay on a different floor at the time of check-in.

Breakfast was good, location was great and staff were nice.

The breakfast was first class as well as the availability of light evening meal. Location was excellent.

Two lift system

The breakfast is spectacular. Very tasty. I would reccommend the fish and caviar they serve there, the smoothies, cheese. They also have fresh carrot juice and fresh beetroot juice, which I never found in other hotels and countries. It is located right in the city centre and I had a chance to attend a culture festival they had that day. My room was on 8th floor. I thought I have a beautiful view from the window, but, no. only roofs. ((

Well served breakfast, wide variety. Staff very helpful. Requested to be changed to a different room to avoid the late night noise from a ball-room next door and was promptly accommodated. Great location, everything I wanted to see was within walking distance. Great suggestions for dinner restaurants. Helped with additional towels for a sauna visit.

Very central location, walkable to a lot of tourist attractions, with big shopping malls very close by. The room was clean, though a little small.

The pillows are like marshmallows (a personal preference, but they were too soft to allow for a good night sleep) and the breakfast didn't really have any alternative options for those with dairy allergies.

Pomimo rezerwacji miejsca postojowego w garażu, nie było dla mnie wolnego miejsca. Po interwencji w recepcji powiedziano mi, że mogę sobie zaparkować na miejscu dla serwisu hotelu, na którym była sterta jakiegoś żelastwa.

Climatisation inefficace et non ajustable. Vue sur salle buffet. Chambre et salle de bains défraîchie. Hôtel labyrinthe. Très cher pour les prestations. TV non connectée. Nous terminons nos 16 nuits en Norvège dont 4 dans des Thon Hotels : plus jamais. Ils ne noys avaient pas habitués à cela les années passées. Hôtel vieillissant et dépassés. Personnel aux compétences limitées.

Otelin konumu merkeze çok yakın. Çalışanlar güler yüzlü. Kahvaltısı mükemmel. Resepsiyonda ücretsiz kahve bölümü olması çok iyi. Kesinlikle tavsiye edebileceğim bir otel.

The location was great - super close to the harbor, City Hall, the Parliament. The room was very modern, efficient and well-designed. The dining room where breakfast was served was very comfortable.

I didn't find the lobby to be very welcoming and didn't feel like it matched the rest of the hotel. The staff was very stressed when we arrived due to our early arrival while others were checking out, so it wasn't an initially welcoming experience. That said, they ended up being very friendly and helpful.

Perfecte ligging in centrum. Alles te voet kunnen verkennen. Kleine kamers maar prima omdat je toch hele dag op pad bent. Een extra kleine maaltijd aan eind van de middag was een verrassing die met grote waardering is ontvangen.

I stayed for two nights and loved the hotel's location and overall experience. Highly recommend for solo travelers and for others too.

We loved the location and the breakfast.

Proximity to harbour, central train station, and trams was excellent. There are plenty of conveniences and cafes nearby too and easy to find the hotel. Superb breakfast selection to cater to everyone's needs, which provided a great start to each day.. Food was always stocked up throughout the morning and staff were always helpful and attentive to any questions.

Room was quite awkward in its overall set-up. Whilst this is slightly picky, I did find the towels very thin and old, which didn't provide good absorption after a shower.

The location is the amazing! You are walking distance to so many sights and restaurants. The metro is nearby and there are bus stops everywhere. The neighborhood is safe and clean. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are lovely. The included breakfast is delicious with so many options and we never had trouble finding a table for our family of 5. My only complaints are the size of the room and windows. Our 12 year old was in the superior room with us and we could barely walk around. Our oldest two shared another room and their beds were actually touching. We were also sad not to have windows to the outside. We looked out to the indoor courtyard where breakfast is, so no fresh air for us. But despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend Cecil. It is a nice, reasonably priced hotel in a fabulous location.

It was the perfect hotel for our two days Oslo visit. The room was well appointed and the bathroom big and modern. The breakfast buffet in a lovely setting was just fantastic. Staff very friendly

Sauberkeit / Unterhalt könnte deutlich verbessert werden. Parken ist sehr teuer.

The location is perfect. You can walk around the city to all attractions. Great breakfast. Rooms were clean.

The ventilation system is a mess. You can’t turn it off or even to a lower speed. It blows your had off especially if you get a room were the bed it’s in the direction of the “wind”.

I had an inner courtyard room which meant there was no window or sense of connection to outside. As the inner courtyard is roofed. Beautiful but for me a touch claustrophobic I would have really loved to open a window for fresh air.

My sister and I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The location of the hotel is centrally located, close to the airport train, restaurants and shops. The room was quite spacious and the bed was comfortable. I also found the staff to be welcoming and very helpful.

It‘s a good hotel, well located, clean, nice rooms and quite friendly staff. Our wing was far from the reception and the breakfsst queue with 20-30m wsiting time was a desaster. Breakfast was good, not great.

Super location. Approximately 8 - 10 minutes walking from the central station. Lovely hotel and wonderful staff. 11/10 for the amazing breakfast. The room was huge and traveling with 2 kids. They made our stay really comfortable. Highly recommended , keep up the good work !

Trevlig och hjälpsam personal och läget var perfekt. Rummen med AC och sköna sängar. Välstädat. Frukosten var varierad och fräsch.

Kort avstånd till en nattklubb med rooftop där de spelade på högsta volym fredag och lördag till kl 03. Som tur var så regnade det på lördagen så man fick lite sömn.

Wir haben ein Dachgeschoss Zimmer bekommen. Diese kann leider im Sommer nicht verkauft werden trotz so einer Art Klimaanlage zw 28 und 26 grad. Die Dachfenster waren wie ein Heizkörper und draußen hatte es um die 20 grad.

Its about a 10 minute walk up the hill from the station,and another 10 minutes to the palace. The town hall is round the corner and there are a great selection of restaurants on you doorstep. Comfortable room, hot shower and great breakfast including vegan and gluten free options. Would definitely recommend and stay again

We stayed at the Thon Hotel Cecil twice, at the beginning and the end of our recent trip to Norway. We chose it because we were taking a “Norway in a Nutshell” tour, and they included the hotel in their booking package. The pros: good location, not far from City Hall, the harbor and rail lines. We had comfortable beds and a good breakfast selection. The room was clean and, in a high floor room, we had no issues with noise, even during World Cup revelry. Staff were courteous and gave helpful suggestions on this to see and places to eat. The price was moderate for a world capital. The cons: The rooms are quite small. There was no way to open our luggage without putting it on the bed. Even navigating around the room was tight. (Suggestion: pick a large room or suite, not a standard room). The temperature in the room became stuffy, and there was minimal ability to change it. Each night around midnight we were hot and bothered by the air, and even after adjusting it there was little improvement. The shower was tiny, as was the bathroom, with minimal storage available for toiletries.

Ottima la posizione vicino al Parlamento e 200 metri dal Municipio. Breakfast abbondante di prodotti salati, un po meno di dolci. Camera abbastanza spaziosa un po meno il bagno comunque con doccia chiusa.

Tutto ok. Il cambio asciugamani un po caotico, un giorno hanno lasciato quelli puliti ma non hanno ritirato quelli usati, il giorno seguente mancava 1 asciugamano, in seguito mancava il tappetino doccia!

GREAT staff, FANTASTIC breakfast, comfortable beds, very helpful front of house staff. Location was close to everything, staff recommendations were excellent. Even though there were celebrations on the street for the football team, we heard nothing. We will come and stay here again.

8th floor room in this very well positioned hotel. Good sized room with all amenities you could need. Quiet, friendly staff and great breakfast buffet.
