Bushtime at Mabula is exactly that, an elegant way to disconnect. Animals roaming as they please. Waking up to a giraffe by your window to whatocks, squirrels and monkeys wanting a share of your breakfast.........Just obey the rules and advise for how to behave around the animals then everyone wins and they get to enjoy their habitat. The housekeeping team were top notch. Excellent service from the reception to the game drives. The hospitality from all staff members was great. A lot of things exceeded our expectations...
I loved everything about the stay. Food, activities ans the Aesthetics
We were booked apart from each other next time please ask if we would like adjacent rooms
Self catering
Better towels that's not so hard...could have been cleaner...nd wash the curtains.
The game drive
I woke up with a painful neck due to the pillows that felt like there was no pillow.
Exceptional service, clean and professional. The views were spectacular and so much to do.
Please arrange gps coordinates from the reception area to the house. The signs and directions were very confusing. A map was provided which is not sufficient especially at night.

It is well maintained and clean
The restaurant at Bushtime, the service wasn’t great. We all good our breakfast at different times and didn’t really eat together. However our takeaway burgers for dinner were delicious !
Quick response
Could not eat at the hotel. I was offered a buffett. All I wanted was a plate of food.
Location
Iron didn't work
very quiet and just what you need for a good breakaway

I liked the bush nature of the property and that the game drive is included in the package . Apartment was clean and modern.
The option l had selected on the website was different to the one we were allocated. I was only informed upon arrival that if one wants to stay in the apartments advertised you have to request it after making a booking .
Family orientated perfectly layout and beautiful view
Eveything!
Just thr roads to get there and road works which can't be helped
Very fancy
I'm local

Everything was perfect
The environment and surroundings Bush experience Game drives
Nothing
The rooms are spacious. You can see animals in hindsight
They booked us at 2 different camps when we checked in yet we were a family of 13. Having to drive from one camp to another was quite a distance.
Everything was amazing

I needed a pla e to rest for a weekend and I received exactly 💯 that
I struggled to locate the house at night. The house number was not visible

Great stay. Lovely game viewing.
I'm a Nature lover
The fact that we got booked in a different house than the one I saw in the picture when I made a booking was huge turn off. The first night I was horrified to sleep in a different house from my family. We want a big house to accommodate all 12 adults. Another problem is the booking.com didn't specify that every car must pay a conservation fee of R415 and it's too much considering we already paid for accommodation.
Everything it could be upgraded
It needs to be upgraded
Everything what a beautiful place!
Nothing
The views from our unit was exceptional. There was a thunderstorm and we could see how the lightning was dancing on the hills.
There was a huge problem with the electricity the whole weekend.
The location is perfect, the views are amazing
The main restaurant up the charge for Christmas lunch when they heard that we stay in self-catering apartments and not part of the Lodge
Privacy good
They gave us the remote that was not working we had to operate the TV manually fot the kids
Location is beautiful
Neat room and bathroom Large dinning and living room
The suroundings around and front was not clean ,lots of siggerette buds and small pieces of paper. Lots of rubish old bricks , plastic bottles and papers in bush in from of braai
The people and the game drives were excellent!
Just charcoal and milk- more accessible to buy
Great reception and cleanliness.
Nothing at all.
Beautiful views and lots of game roaming around. The chalet was cute and comfy and the staff were really friendly
There was a rolling power outage during our stay and the chalet did not have backup solar power.
Property is clean and pleasant.
Bedroom ceiling fans are noisy and not balanced. Switch these off, to sleep and rather perspire. The game drive rangers are young and inexperienced. Permitting babies on game drives and patrons chattering worse than gramophones about their jobs was the modus operandi. FYI, a private game drive will set you back R4,500.00 for 2.5 hours on enquiry. A night game drive only departs from the Hotel at 20h00. This will require you to travel after dark. I would not recommend Mabula game drives for wildlife photographers, unless your photographic equipment consists of a mobile phone and shop talk is your thing...
na
We were not aware that you needed to book game drives before you even arrive or lose out! No self drive doesnt suit me. Game ranger wasnt that clued up on animals - not linked with other vehicles to help locate animals. Lions, cheetahs etc are in a separate section / no shop close by to purchase forgotten things - milk bread etc.
