Great location and exceptionally kind staff, especially Apisit. He was attentive, helpful, and genuinely made me feel heard and well cared for.

The bed was not particularly comfortable, and the TV channels were almost exclusively in Norwegian. This was quite disappointing, especially considering the hotel has a very international clientele. The only English-language channel available was Al Jazeera, which I found surprising given the wide range of international channels available nowadays. It would also be a great improvement to offer access to streaming platforms such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, allowing guests with their own subscriptions to log in and enjoy their preferred content.

The hotel is right in the middle of the city center, close to everything, and connected to a good restaurant (Egon) with decent prices. Very kind and friendly staff. Spacious, bright and very clean room. Comfortable bed, many sockets; iron with ironing board. Poor lighting in the room, but there were lighting fixtures at the desk and at the head of the bed. Good Wi-Fi. 2 elevators. Excellent breakfast, with many options for all tastes and with a packed lunch offer on request. Delicious coffee. Complimentary coffee and water in the lobby.

Sehr zentral, man erreicht alles zu Fuß und das Parkhaus ist praktisch gleich nebenan. Sehr gutes Frühstück, wenn auch die Nutzung der speziellen Kaffeemaschinen für viele Gäste eine Herausforderung war.

Durch die zentrale Lage sind die Zimmer nach vorne sehr, sehr laut, jeden Morgen wird irgendwas geliefert. Dadurch, dass es zwei Häuser sind, die verwinkelt verbunden sind, sind die Zimmer insgesamt sehr unterschiedlich, daher kann ich mir vorstellen, dass es auch sehr schöne Zimmer gibt. Bei uns hat das nicht geklappt, vielleicht weil wir über Booking gebucht haben? Das als „Doppelbett-Standardzimmer" angebotene Zimmer entsprach nicht der Beschreibung: Das Bett war nur einseitig nutzbar, es fehlten Nachtkästchen, Licht und Steckdosen. Die Fotos auf Booking hatten mit dem tatsächlichen Zimmer nichts zu tun. Für fast 300 € eine Frecheit. Die einzige angebotene Alternative lag unterm Dach, also mit Dachschräge und nur Dachfenster, dazu im Juli sehr heiß. Trotz sichtbarer anderer Optionen auf Booking behauptete die Rezeption, es gäbe keine weiteren Zimmer. Das Zimmer war durchaus zusätzlich etwas kleiner als die übrigen, die Kopfkissen rochen stark nach Schweiß, und selbst nach Gesprächen mit vier Mitarbeitenden fand man keine Lösung. Sehr schade. Bild des Grundrisses habe ich beigefügt.

Great location!! Two min walk to light rail and very close to wharf area and funicular. An excellent breakfast and super helpful staff.

I had a pleasant stay at Thon Hotel Bristol Bergen. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was nice, and the location was perfect for exploring Bergen. There were a few things that could be improved. I would have appreciated more cupboard/storage space and a better selection of toiletries, as only shampoo and hand wash were provided. The bed also moved around quite easily. I also found the duvet far too warm and not very breathable, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel.

Der Check In war sehr unkompliziert und das Personal sehr freundlich. Die Lage und das Frühstück waren perfekt.

Leider wurde der Discount beim City Parkhaus nicht berücksichtigt, obwohl wir uns am Terminal registriert hatten.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff and we even had sunshine. Breakfast is very good (but also busy at peak times). We used the Egon restaurant next door for a meal in the evening. There is a left luggage room for after check out at noon.

Comfortable, compact room. Everything easy to use. This chain does a good job with that kind of thing, in a modest way. They do love them some chartreuse and magenta.

To cool the room, we had to have the windows opened, which worked great, but a bit loud.

Clean, centrally located hotel within walking distance of the main attractions and public transportation. Here are the pros and cons based on our experience. Pros: - The room was clean, quiet, and well equipped. - The staff were helpful and friendly. - Breakfast was delicious and fresh, with a good selection of hot and cold options. - Coffee, tea, still and sparkling water were available in the lobby, and there was also a small bar next to the reception. - Fast check-out. Cons: - Check-in took a very long time, apparently due to a system issue. Unfortunately, there was no communication about the delay. - The mattress was soft and seemed to sink in the middle. - There was no towel rack or hook near the shower. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

The location is great. Slightly off center. Very good breakfast.

The hallway paint job was really upsetting. I have never gotten upset about hallway paintings before, but the loud colors and carpeting was offensive. The rooms were quite small too.

Tolle Lage sehr zentral. Alles fußläufig erreichbar. Wenn im Parkhaus geparkt wird unbedingt im Hotel beim Check- in am extra "Terminal" das Kennzeichen eingeben, dann gelten reduzierte Parkgebühren. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist im Vergleich zu den andeten Thon Hotels, wo wir waren etwas kleiner, aber ausreichend.

La literie norvégienne est la meilleure ! J'ai passée de très bonnes nuits. L'hôtel est idéalement placé.

I chose a larger room style which was a good choice for us. The light blocking of the curtains was good for sleeping. The two single beds were okay but too close together. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. The location was close to the center of the tourist area without being in the busy area. The train station was a 10 minute walk. There were steps within a single floor of the hotel which is not ideal with luggage. The breakfast was good, but the dining area was very crowded.

Für 2 Nächte sehr in Ordnung, Zimmer klein, Ausstattung gut, Kühlschrank und Aircondition! Bett knarrte, Matratze hat sich "durchgelegen" angefühlt, aber das ist subjektiv. Frühstück: sehr große Auswahl, gute Qualität Optimale Zentrumslage!

The Thon Hotel Bristol is an excellent hotel in a good location. We booked it through Norway in a Nutshell for its proximity to the train station on our arrival and to the Havila/Hurtigruten Terminal (Jekteviken) where we boarded Havila Cruises. Both were within walking distance. Our room was large with a comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast was good and served on the 7th floor. The Bryggen, Fish Market and other attractions are close by. We went first in the evening and found those area far less crowded than the next day. A good feature for us was the hotel’s luggage service. Norway in a Nutshell shipped our bags from Oslo so we didn’t have to carry them on public transport. We found them waiting as promised at the front desk on arrival. But as we checked out we used the luggage room to hold our bags before we left to board our ship. There was ample space behind a locked door with convenient restroom. All in all a very good choice.

We enjoyed the efficient, comfortable rooms at the Thon Hotel Bristol Bergen and especially loved their incredible breakfast buffet! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It was a particularly good choice for its location - central to many areas of Bergen worth exploring and one block away from the airport lightrail train. Highly recommend

Everything was excellent from the early check-in to check-out. The room was clean and quiet. Great blackout curtains. Breakfast was very good. They brought us extra towels without us asking for them. Top notch!

Excellent location, near to all city centre attractions. Super breakfast, great selection of cooked items, especially liked their crispy bacon, plus a wide selection of continental dishes. Quiet, clean and comfortable.

This is a very well located hotel in Bergen, part of the extensive Thon chain in Norway. We had a Business room which was spacious and comfortable, but the bathroom was tiny; could barely fit one person in it. Since we had just stayed at a Thon hotel in Oslo, we could compare. The breakfast in Bergen was very good but slightly less extensive than Oslo’s. (No take out coffee cups, no fresh brewed decaf coffee, no granola, no desserts except gluten- free desserts.). Other Thon features were identical - thin rough towels, unfortunately. There was limited lobby or lounge space. The front desk staff were fine but a bit reserved. I would probably give 3.5 circles if I could. Don’t forget to join the Thon loyalty program before booking your room. Overall I was disappointed with the hotel options in Bergen, especially for 4 star hotels. . But Bergen is a beautiful city with lots to do!

Great location and staff. Quirky furnishings and colour scheme. It was in an ideal location for us. We walked from the cruise terminal and it wasn't very far from the Havila terminal either. Very close to a noisy at night square.

Great mid range hotel. We stayed as a family of 4 with 2 kids in a suite for the weekend. Nice, modern, clean room. Comfortable bed. Can’t really complain about anything! One unexpected highlight was the breakfast which was absolute fantastic - great selection of hot and cold buffet, great coffee - fabulous! Location is very central and convenient for all the sights of Bergen within walking distance. Would recommend.

Hôtel fonctionnel, sans plus. La réception n'avait pas tenu compte du fait que nous avions réservé une chambre "supérieure", il a fallu batailler pour obtenir le changement.

Step up into bathroom, really?

Location is really important to us as we like to walk to as much as possible and this hotel is in a great location! You can walk to all the main sights, there’s plenty of restaurants close by, the train station is a 10 minute walk and you can get on a tram that is only a couple of minutes away to get to the airport or outer areas. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was included and had a wide variety to choose from. The lobby includes a lounge and I grabbed hot tea each night there. The front desk staff was very helpful as they made reservations for us, answered questions and even printed out tickets.

Super reichhaltiges Frühstück, beste zentrale Lage, großes Bad, saubere bequeme Betten, originelle Innenausstattung von Hotel und Zimmer - kurz: alles bestens und wir kommen gerne wieder!

An das relative leise und gleichmäßige Laufen der Lüftungsanlagen im Innenhof bei geöffnetem Fenster haben wir uns relativ schnell gewöhnt, für andere vielleicht eher störend.
