Thon Hotel Tromsø

Top Lage, gutes Frühstück, passabler Preis für Norwegen und eine Innenstadtlage.

War hier schon dreimal zuvor und habe immer die günstige Zimmerkategorie gebucht. Diesmal hat man uns erstmals ins EG direkt ggü. des Frühstücksraums verklappt, was sicher irre laut gewesen wäre. Gebucht habe ich im Februar, aber das scheint hier nichts zu nützen - irgendwer kriegt halt diese Zimmer. Für Frühbucher und 6 ÜN, also nicht einfach Durchreisende, sollte es mindestens 1. OG sein.

Das Frühstück war nicht schlecht.

Wir hatten unser Zimmer direkt auf Höhe der Strasse. Im Zimmer war es extrem laut, ich denke die Das Lüftungs- oder Klimaagregat war direkt hinter unserem Zimmer. Das Badezimmer hatte aus den Abgüssen ein artigen Geruch. Im Zimmer war es heiss, konnte man nicht regulieren und das Fenster konnte man nicht öffnen, da man Angst hatte dass komische Gestalten einsteigen könnten. Wir haben Normalpreis bezahlt und denken, dass man uns ein Lowbutget Zimmer zugeteilt hat.

The location was perfect and receptionists very helpful. Breakfast was also varied with lots of different items

The room was great. Keep in mind that all hotels in Norway didnt have twin beds far enough away from each other. They were comfortable.

Lovely stay at the Thon Hotel. It is located near to the main street and a short walk to the bus stop for the airport and around the town. The rooms are small but are fine. The bed is comfy, it has a mini fridge, a safe, and a bathroom with underfloor heating and a powerful shower. The room was a little hot for me personally but I found the radiator and switched it off. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing, hot and cold food with so much choice.

Visiting Tromso for three nights we stayed at the Thon Hotel for two of them, the first night, then away for an excursion on the second night and then returning to the Thon on the third night. On night one we had what appeared to be called a superior room as it had shower gel and a coffee machine. A single bedroom with a double bed squeezed in so tight one side was up against a radiator so you couldn't walk around it and with no bedside table or light on that side. On booking out for our excursion staff told us we could leave our belongings in a luggage room until we returned for night three. On our return, even though we spoke to the same staff, we were told we had no room booked, the booking having been cancelled. Despite our appeal that this was not correct and that we had paid for a room it was a case of "computer says no" end of story. After some phone calls and emails our tour operator sent Thon their confirmation email and proof of payment and we could book in. No apology given for what they described as a system error. Our room was slightly larger, with walls stained with some kind of liquid, a couple of tea bags and a coffee sachet were available. The window looked out onto a brick wall about a metre away. Room was very hot with no obvious thermostat to find a comfy temperature. On the plus side, beds were comfy, the hot and cold buffet breakfast was good and plentiful and the hotel was conveniently situated in the town centre. Budget hotel, with budget service.

Hotel was very clean, good value, and in a great location. Very large selection at breakfast, enjoyed my time at the hotel.

I know that food ingredients are the same for the Thon Hotels in Norway. But this hotel prepared them and make them the best among the different Thon Hotels. This hotel is among the most expensive room prices. The staffs are friendly and helpful. They have a storage rooms for luggages so that people can wonder Tromso before their flights home.b The 2nd floor rooms facing the entrance is very noisy because of the car traffic, delivery trucks, and people smoking and talking.

Bed was super comfy. Coffee machine in the room was excellent. You could get extra coffee pods from breakfast. Plenty hot water. Heated bathroom floor was great. Location was good, short walk to places and bus stop.

Room was on the small size. Lack of hooks to hang coats up, especially required when the snow was heavy. On the days we let housekeeping in, dirty coffee cups weren't removed. Breakfast was very average, only pancakes on 2 days.

A nice clean, centrally located hotel. Good breakfast. Well equipped room. Expensive, but everything is in Norway.

Great location. Room very small but clean. There’s no where to put luggage unless it’s a small carry on case. Bed was small and barely a double size with two separate duvets. Not very comfortable either. No room to manoeuvre around one side of the bed as it was so close to the window. Bathroom large and underfloor heating. Towels changed on request. Housekeeping did empty bins and remove used towels daily but that was all. We had to request clean towels. Soap dispenser on wall but no separate shower gel etc. no restaurant on site. Fabulous breakfast. Hot and cold foods and wonderful selection. This is what this hotel excels at. Staff were polite but not overly friendly. Would stay again because of the location but not for the rooms.

Ble møtt av en lite service innstilt ansatt det. Va bryllupsdagen vår og det hadde vi også nevnt ved bestilling. Det var null ekstra et lite rom med utsikt i en grå vegg. Det var skittent på badet og andre plasser på rommet. Ventet i resepsjonen men ingen kom når vi skulle klage

👎👎👎This hotel does not have its own parking!!! Although when filtering by “parking” on the booking site, it list: parking, parking house. There is only public parking house, not so far, but transfer with luggage is not comfortable. According to other hotel, there must be written “parking on the street”!

Colazione eccezionale per varietà e qualità; raramente un Hotel offre un servizio paragonabile. Lo staff è cordiale e disponile. Da notare la lounge dotata di macchina del caffè con cialde Nespresso ; giochi da tavolo. Camera di giuste dimensioni calda ed accogliente.

I had a great stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, comfortable, and WELL LOCATED. I arrived so tired, at 2 am and only had to walk about 4 minutes to get to the Main Street to grab food I’d like to give a special mention to the night shift front desk staff. I broke my phone and he went above and beyond to help me. I truly can’t thank him enough for his kindness and patience. Great breakfast. Very friendly, helpful, and professional service. I would definitely stay here again!

Wspaniała obsługa recepcji , pokoje bardzo wygodne z uwaznoscia na szczegóły wyposażenia . Bardzo dobre i różnorodne śniadania . Bardzo blisko do wszystkich atrakcji w Tromso oraz do sklepów i knajp.

Jak przyjechaliśmy pokój był bardzo czysty ale podczas pobytu serwis tylko wyrzucał śmieci dokładał ręczniki i ścielił łóżko. Nawet nie przetarł umywalki czy nie odkurzył podłogi . Cieple posiłki na śniadaniu były zupełnie zimne .

We stayed two nights in a Business Room over New Year’s Eve at Thon Hotel Tromsø and had a very positive experience overall. The location is excellent and extremely central, making it perfect for exploring the city. We were also able to park our car very close to the hotel in a nearby underground garage, which was very convenient. The breakfast was outstanding — very good quality, varied, and plentiful. We would definitely book this hotel again! There were only two minor downsides: the room was quite small, and the shower was not fully separated from the bathroom floor, so the floor got a bit wet. However, this was not a major issue and was more than compensated for by the many positive aspects. We also enjoyed a lovely view of Tromsø Cathedral from our room, which was a nice bonus.

De locatie is helemaal perfect, alles op loopafstand. Ontbijt helemaal prima. Verder was de kamer wel oke, behalve dat de gordijnen op half 11 hangen. De prijs was echter schandalig voor wat je er voor kreeg, maar al met al hebben we optimaal genoten.

De prijs vooral. En de kamer was helemaal prima, maar voor dat geld mag je wel wat meer krijgen. Tromso en de locatie van het hotel maken alles goed.

Die Lage war sehr gut.

Die Zimmer sind klein und die Zimmertemperatur kann Man nicht regulieren, die Fussbodenheizung im Bad war so heiss dass es an den Füssen schmerzte. Das Waschbecken hatte ein Loch und die Dusche flutete Das halbe Bad. Der Frühstücksraum ist ohne Fenster die Auswahl ist gerade so noch in Ordnung, aber die Fruchtsäfte, der Kaffe und andere Sachen fehlten immer wieder. Der Preis war für die Leistung zu hoch.

The location

Breakfast was really nice apart from Both toaster’s were rubbish very slow at actually toasting the toast, kept popping up. Was told by the staff not to use toaster near the gluten-free stuff and it was only for gluten free bread. Don’t understand why and if so it was not stated. Plus fried eggs were cold every day ruined my breakfast

The location of the hotel is in a prime spot near the center of Tromso with access to all local ameneties and the bus terminal which is the main hub for tours and excursions. Hotel is clean, staff are attentive and the breakfast is OK if you are on the go.

Hotel room is really noisy, I could hear a loud humming noise from the first floor from one of the extractor fans. The room is small and the cleaners only made our bed and changed the bins and gave fresh towels apart from that nothing else was cleaned.

Der Empfang war super freundlich und haben jede Frage beantwortet . Das Zimmer war super gemütlich und sehr bequeme Betten waren auch vorhanden. Das Frühstück war einfach hervorragend es war ausreichend da und immer frisch . In die Stadt ist es wirklich nicht weit das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen würde es immer wieder buchen war einfach super

We stayed 4 nights in Room 408. Compact room with two joined single beds. Safe in room. Decent wet room. Good WiFi. Breakfast very well stocked and extensive choice. Large room for dining. Room on 4th of 6 floors serviced by two lifts. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful as were staff at Breakfast. Excellent location.

Location - 151 room hotel right in the centre of Tromso, with most of the towns attractions only a short walk away. Appearance - very clean and tidy. Staff keep rooms and reception spotless. Staff Service - All the staff we met were warm, friendly and helpful, a credit to the Norwegian people. I should not have any favourites but Oda on reception was extremely helpful and kind, and Msria Marthinsen at breakfast is a star performer. She carried out her duties with a smile, spoke perfect English and always had a minute or two to chat with guests and ask how holidsys were going. Food/Drinks - The only food the hotel provides is breakfast, and don't they do it well. Hot and cold drinks are readily available, there is a choice of hot and cold buffets and I was surprised to see smoked salmon and caviar available on a daily basis. I thought the breakfasts were superb. The other huge asset the hotel has, is the complementary coffee and tea that is available in reception. We had many a free cup of coffee there after day trips out and they were all most enjoyable. Bedroom - We had a lovely room with twin beds. Plenty of hanging space and plenty of space for our bags. We had a free safe, fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities which were replenished daily. The room also had an iron and ironing board. Bathroom - The bathroom had a powerful shower with plenty of hot water. The room had a hair dryer and soap and shower gel dispensers. I would recommend guests bring their own shampoo/conditioner. WiFi - Free WiFi was available throughout the hotel and worked very well throughout our stay. E-mail response - I wrote to the hotel about 2 weeks before I arrived with a minor query and recieved a full response within 24 hours. Excellent service.
