Country House Villadorata

Es ist sehr schön und sehr ruhig. Für Aktivitäten in der Stadt oder Ausflüge ans Meer benötigt man ein Fahrzeug.

Please stay at this wonderful hotel. Not only are the accommodation, restaurant (also the breakfast), swimming pool and general landscaping and surroundings outstanding, but the staff are too. Nothing is too much trouble for Maria Christina, Eleanora and Angela, and our experience was all the better for their excellent suggestions, care and attention. So grateful for a superb stay. Would not hesitate to recommend and stay again!

The property is well kept. Quiet and it is kept clean. However, there is lightning missing outside and especially in the room ( bathroom) way too dark.

The rural setting is simply stunning and this is the perfect place for total relaxation. The food in the restaurant is innovative and delicious using many locally produced ingredients . Every member of staff is friendly and incredibly welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble - we had a perfect stay

Excellent service and overall a nice property. We had one of the “eco suites” that had a plunge pool. The plunge pool came in very handy, as when we were there (July 2025), it was very hot and humid (mid 90’s F; mid 30’s C). Walking from where you park your car to your room can be quite lengthy, and in the heat takes a lot out of you. They do have a very nice swimming pool as well. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. The property is located about 10 minutes from Noto, and also an easy drive to Siracusa, Ortigia and other places. Overall, very nice. A minor critique: they should provide more water, since the water from the sink is not drinkable. They provide one (large) bottle in the am and another in the pm. If you take water from the fridge in the room, they charge you. Since the property is kind of remote, with no “shop” to purchase water, sunscreen or anything, they should make water more readily available.

We were really looking forward to our stay but unfortunately, this hotel did not meet expectations. For the price we paid, we were surprised and disappointed to find that there was no Wi-Fi in the room and the air conditioning wasn’t functioning properly. When we brought it up with the staff, we were told the problem was on our end — not the property’s. Overall, a frustrating experience that fell short of the standard we anticipated. Also I was there the day of my birthday- no acknowledgment there. No attention to detail, unfortunately!

You enter a gated large country estate overflowing with almond and lemon trees and warm friendly greetings. And your stay only gets better from there. A gracious and accommodating staff will assist with your daytrips and reservations. They bend over backwards to make your stay delightful. I believe there are only 14 rooms/residences available, but I strongly recommend the Eco-Suites with plunge pool and beautiful views of the property. Before booking, I considered their sister property in Noto (Villadorata Seven Rooms), but after checking with previous Country House guests (who insisted that because Noto was such a close and easy drive from Country House, it was far better to stay and experience the Noto countryside than to stay "in town"), we opted for the country. It was clearly the correct choice for us, as we loved the quiet, calm respite of Country House after day trips to Noto, Modica, Ragusa and Siracusa. I would strongly recommend the 8-course on-site dinner at Orti and the equally wonderful, but more casual, in-town Osteria Villadorata. Oh, and if you need a break from the full dinners you've been having throughout Sicily, take a break and enjoy great pizza and inexpensive Sicilian wines at the delicious, family-friendly pizza ristorante in Noto, Casamatta.

Country House Villadorata is a beautiful respite, but very close to Noto and the other Baroque towns. While it is a newer property, the owner took care to build in a way that compliments the beautiful surroundings, so that it has the feel of something that has been there for a long time. The staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable. We stayed in a deluxe terrace room, which was nice, but if I were to go again, I would pony up for the Eco suites. We did not go inside one, but from the outside, they look amazing and have more privacy than the terrace rooms. We used CHV as our home base for visiting Noto, Ragusa, and Modica, and it worked beautifully for that. I would highly recommend Country House Villadorata. One note (which they are aware of) - if you need a fitness center, they don't have one yet. However, our charming host commented in her beautiful Sicilian accent, that "you can have a jog," which became a tag line for our trip!

This was an amazing location a short way from Syracuse and beautiful Noto, amongst various other wonderful places. The resort is on several hectares of olive and citrus groves and vineyards. It is incredibly peaceful, particularly at night. There is a swimming pool, high-end restaurant and more on the property. Our room was large and included a small private outdoor terrace. The bed was comfortable and shower very good. Breakfast was exceptional, with lots of dishes produced on site. The staff were all great.

We stayed here in June during our 8-day trip to Sicily. It was central enough to many of the places on your bucket list: 10 minutes from Noto and maybe 45 to Syracusa and Ortigia and Marzamemi. There were many other close spots but we ran out of time! The service was amazing and the restaurant was a culinary delight. Highly recommend

The property is beautiful at first glance. Over 100 hectares of land and only 15 rooms. However, despite wonderful hotel staff and the setting, management must be changed. Horrible very limited food choices, house keeping is virtually non existent, transportation to Noto City is exorbitantly expensive and scarce.

While in Noto for a few days, my very good friends introduced me to the Country House Villadorata. Slightly outside the city, the setting is magical : you enter a vast domain in the heart of nature, with a fantastic view on the country side in the middle of olive groves, orange trees and vineyards. We went there to experience good food and the Chef exceeded my expectation. Everything is around ingredients and territories with highly creative and subtil marriage of unexpected flavors. A special mention in the menu Acqua e Terra for the Scallops, brown butter, orange and marinated turnipthe as well as for the Roasted turbot fillet, fennel, wood-baked lemon puree and fish demi-glace. It was a real delight and we spent there an unforgettable moment. I will definitely come back next year with my wife and may be stay one night or 2 in the resort.

A lovely oasis with the best service. The rooms are stylish without being precious. The quality of everything-- from the almonds and olives grown on site to the choice of linens and wines--is top notch. The property has a graceful beauty and is super close to beaches and lovely small towns. The restaurant offers delicious food-- we were lucky to see the chef do his magic because there is an open kitchen. The front desk/concierge staff were above and beyond in their generosity and care--from making restaurant and parking reservations in the center of Noto and other towns to making sure we had everything we needed. We will be back!!

This is the most gorgeous place to Stay, eat, relax. The accommodations are exceptional. The food is excellent. The service, kindness, competence and overall 'always there for you' is above and beyond! We had a marvelous stay. This is a must go to. It is a hidden jewel.

Delightful staff. Fantastic chef - great kitchen dining experience. Memorable! Deluxe rooms unimpressive. Dark and cold. Not much natural light. No view ( overlooked a hedge). Internet did not work. No bar or lounge where guests could socialise. Lovely pool but not heated.

The country Hotel Villa Dorata experience exceeded all expectations. This is a stunning property located in the hills outside of Noto . It strikes just the right balance of comfort and relaxation. It is an eco-conscious resort with truly extraordinarily beautiful grounds. You can walk through vineyards olive Groves and citrus trees. The Restaurant provides one of the best and most creative meals we have eaten. Front desk and staff are very welcoming and lovely. Mostly you are left on your own to enjoy the beautiful property but people are available to ask if you need anything. The rooms are simple, but have all amenities and beautiful views. An absolutely wonderful experience.

Over the top, enthusiastic hospitality without any pretension. The staff would remember our orders and wine preferences from 2 days ago and make recommendations. They arranged fantastic experiences outside the resort. When they saw us walking to our room, they would ask us if we wanted a ride. we complemented them on their vinegar and the chef gave us a list of his recommendations. Anything we needed, questioned, thought of, they made happen. The sommelier was super knowledgeable and enthusiastically shared her recommendations. The amuse bouche at dinner was incredible , and there were 3 of them. The food was delicious and inventive. After dinner there was the palate cleanser, dessert, and then surprise , 3 other mini desserts. We’ve been staying at hotels for 6 weeks and by far the hospitality and service at Villadorata surpassed any other hotel experience.

The Villa Dorata is a beautiful hotel, the grounds are exquisite and rooms are well furnished. It is perfectly located to visit Noto, Ortigia and Marzamemi (go there for lunch!). But what makes it special is the staff, the reception and concierge team are superb, organising drivers, restaurants and even parking spaces in Noto with GPS directions. The food is great as well… breakfast is an occasion. We will definitely come back here for a longer stay.

Beautiful hotel, very relaxing atmosphere and probably the best breakfast of our two week trip in Sicily and Aeolian Islands. The pool was lovely and spotlessly clean, the restaurant terrace was also beautiful and food top notch... Would love to come back again if we return to Sicily.

Die Anlage liegt sehr schön ruhig in schöner Landschaft unweit von Noto und weiteren interessanten Zielen (Syrakus, Modica u.a.). Das Beste aber ist die Küche, nahe am Sterne-Niveau!

This is a stunningly beautiful property set in many acres of land, an estate planted with olive and almond trees together with vineyards. A series of one story buildings in the estate house the rooms/suites. A central building (pictured) houses the reception, a dining room and an area by the pool. Separately in the grounds there’s a lovely al fresco dining area for evenings. It’s situated in the countryside and is about a 20 minute drive to the city of Noto.

Would highly recommend to everyone! I was a little bit skeptical based on the price, but the staff was very nice and attentive. Great food, lovely property. They even let me stay late to enjoy the pool and a glass of wine on a beautiful day! Will definitely be back!
