Elite Athlete Centre and Hotel

Brilliant accommodation. Didn’t get any sleep as so much noise outside with people shouting and screaming most of the night.

Only reduced feedback as the shower was not great only a small shower head But otherwise excellent Breakfast fair

Brilliant staff, great location

The room was stuffy. There was no ventilation to let fresh air in as window cannot be opened. The filter in bathroom was not working either. There was no air conditioning and was told May and June was when they switch off their filters??We had to request for a fan. It was a very uncomfortable pricey stay for a standard room. Some sockets were not working. One of the lift wasn't working during our stay. Very disappointed overall. Will not recommend.

Quite a good experience. No complaints. Breakfast was kind of simple but it is a hotel tailored towards athletes so understandable.

No hot water for a shower in the morning, only heat source in the room was a radiator, television did not work and there was no food available outside of the service times that you had to pre book for. Not great and will not stay again.

Great for University visit

The food was ok, but breakfast was overcooked. We found the bed too hard for our liking, but that could be just us. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel could do with more staff. We had to wait for five minutes to check in because there was no one at reception.

My stay was disappointing. The price was high and I was expecting more. The staff & customer service was excellent. Staff helped me with bags to my room and the room location was very near the room. It was not an accessible room I did not bring my scooter from the car. I would say it was more of a hostel booking with individual rooms not shared rooms. Breakfast was self service.

Athletes village is just next to our son's halls of residence so very very convenient. Parking was good. Staff, especially at check in, were lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Attempted to change date of booking 2 weeks earlier ( not an unusual request) and Expedia , had my payment but no success indealing with hotel or did not make the effort . Last time I will pay through an Agent for a hotel booking!

Nice little hotel within the Lboro Uni campus. Rooms are pleasant and well presented. Food selection not great but there is a small kitchen downstairs serving a buffet of quality food but it’s not cheap.

Absolute nightmare to find the hotel once on the campus. Little or no sinage and nobody on campus seemed to know where it was. Read great reports obout the food so was surprised to be given a cold fried breakfast on a cold plate. Woken several times during the night by noisy students returning to their dorms. Would not recommend

Very comfy bed in a large clean room. Thre are some specialist altitude ooms in this hotel, we had just a standard's room and I was surprised there wasn’t even air con in these. Breakfast was very average and all decor is very basic. For an over night stay it was perfectly fine but there’s nothing special here so I wouldn’t recommend if you were on a treat. Over priced for whats on offer.

Great and convenient little hotel. Nothing fancy and beds are on the firm side, but would use again.

Easy access from reception to lift to room

This was a very nice hotel to stay in when visiting the University of Loughborough. It is right on the campus and has parking available. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed my dinner and breakfast. The room was large, airy and comfortable. It was inspiring to be dining with so many elite athletes too!

Very professional but relaxed environment. Staff so helpful and attentive. Rooms spotless with great views of the Arctic’s track and hockey pitch. Food was excellent.

Booked two nights at the hotel. Arrived at reception only to be made to wait for 20minutes until the receptionist found the room booking. Was informed that the hotel was overbooked and they only had a room for one night. Then was told they cant process the hotels.com room and that i will have to pay seperately for the one night they had available. The receptionist charged a higher nightly rate then advertised on hotels.com. The hotel room itself looked like a student hall room. This is not a proper hotel, this is a universitiy's attempt to make money by converting a student hall into a hotel. The breakfast service stops at 9 am which is very strange and also the breakfast options were very limited.

Never even stayed there, tried to cancel or even change the travel date and they wouldn’t help. Terrible customer service and would never even think about staying here again.

I don't like to leave bad reviews as everyone is human and usually any problems can be rectified. However, I was really looking forwards to staying here, the photos of the facilties and the previous reviews are great. We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival who gave lots of helpful info. The room was a good size with all of the basic features expected (tea/coffee facilties, har dryer, tv, fridge). The bed was poor quality, with visible springs and a single, thin pillow for each of us. The curtains dd not close properly so had a very large amount of light coming into the room. The shower head was basically black with mould, the bottom of the shower curtain was also covered in pink mould. We were also only given 1 towel for a room that was booked for 2. Dirty marks were over many of the walls including 2 lots of wet tea stain marks (or at least thats what i hoped they were!). On multile occasions we tried to find someone to help us with these issues but no one was around. We ended up getting our own towel from the linen store! Breakfast was minimal and on the second morning, when staff were around, they cleared my husbands fresh coffee from a table where all of our belongings were and my cup of tea (which they left!) while we waited by the toaster for toast. Items were cleared away at 8.30am (we were told breakfast was until 9am) and when i asked for some milk for a second cup of tea at the counter the response poor and I had expain what it was for before being given any

Abbs was amazing at breakfast. I understand security is good for the students, abd he let me go 9utside amd take a breather, did some relax listening. Thank you 😁 thank you Dean from Security for helping find my way

very clean accommodation set in the enormous university campus. Room was quite basic with very narrow, twin beds. The bathroom was also quite bare, with open shower (no cubicle, tray etc). The staff were fantastic and the food excellent but the overall feel is that of a high class dormitory. It is also difficult to find - the campus is vast and the signage poor.

The bed mattress was springy and not very supportive. The single pillow was thin and again unsupportive. There should have been two pillows on each bed. I now have neck and shoulder muscular pain after my one night stay.

Friendly, helpful staff. Room clean with everything you need. Very convenient for cricket centre.

Location within university is great, I stayed for 2 nights but they did not clean the room!

Stayed for one night prior to university interview. Perfect place to stay on campus. Parking space literally in front of hotel. Friendly gentleman on reception. Spacious twin room. Handy little shop 5 mins walk from hotel. Would definitely recommend. No complaints at all.

Very easy and convenient place to stay while visiting daughter at the university. Parking is convenient and the prices for a room are reasonable. This is my second stay.

The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Although we had breakfast included in the price this was not communicated to them by Hotels.com. I had to show the receptionist the email as proof. For an Elite Athlete Centre I would have expected healthier choices for breakfast. Also no marmalade was provided.

Easy to find, safe, great service, very clean, very long beds, great food, good atmosphere. Only suggestion I can make is including instructions towards main way out of campus.

Good place, very difficult to find. It’s very clean butI didn’t find it comfortable as much as other hotels. Bathroom is just a wet room with a underpowered shower and the doubles are singles put together and you do notice. Would stay again but don’t use it for anything for couples

Clean modern hotel, think more facilities should be available to all guests and not limited to elite athletes as all paying customers, receptionist on check/in was ok but not as friendly and welcoming as main chain hotels, this was my second stay and think rooms would benefit from drinking water, tissues and biscuits on tea tray as standard, but otherwise a clean, modern, comfortable hotel with great views of sports facilities at Loughborough university.

The place was easy to find and use The staff were friendlier and more helpful than in most hotels I have visited in the last year (83 nights away!)

Very clean and modern with excellent service from all staff. The room was amazing with a huge comfortable bed so can’t fault my stay.

Excellent hotel, lovely team easy parking

Amazing room. Very comfy- just plain simple layout. Things are easy to find, good lighting, good view out of the window.

All staff very friendly and helpful that we met however the cleaning of our room was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Mugs not washed up towels only left for one person even though we were a couple and bathroom not fully cleaned. However I would stay again as these were minor issues. As another guest commented if your stay longer than two nights breakfast becomes repetitive.

This is a great hotel. If you are in to being healthy then this is the hotel for you.
