Location to university
Beds were hard
Very clean, Very polite and courteous staff and very good breakfast.
Nothing!!
The location was perfect for our need. Good variety breakfast, decent quality & taste. Nice dining & seating area. Staff were pleasant & helpful.
Rooms in need of tlc & diy! Walls marked & scraped. Bathroom a bit grubby with moving tiles on floor. Overall could be cleaner, skirtings dusty & dirty, carpet looked dirty with stains on it too. Evening meal menu is slightly limited, would benefit from an update. Found food to be average. A buffet was bring served for a group, it smelt amazing would have preferred a bit of that.
Easy access and parking plus quick and easy check in,we had breakfast as a last minute decision, very good and ample food, this is a review on a one night stay.

Location, room size, parking, staff friendly.
Communal areas were tired. Walls and carpets stained and marked. Our room (437) was somewhat dated. No phone charging. Bathroom basic. Walls marked and scuffed. Ill fitting sheets. Breakfast fresh and tasty but lacking choice of other chains. For £300 plus for one night family room, more is expected.
Good location with easy access to a beach for a stroll.
The Deluxe Double Room I received was much smaller and nowhere near the standard shown in the photographs on Booking.com. The bathroom was very cramped, and the fixed shower head was old and sprayed water in different directions rather than providing a proper shower. The room also had a small window, which was very different from the large bay windows shown in the Booking.com photos. There were no chairs and table by the window as pictured, and the overall room felt much less modern than what was advertised. Soundproofing was also poor, as I could clearly hear people talking and even snoring in the adjacent rooms. When I raised the difference with the front desk, I was told that the room is classed as “Deluxe” because it is sea-facing, and that the smaller size does not change the room category. However, this does not address the fact that the photographs used on Booking.com give a very different impression of the size, layout and standard of the room. Overall, I was disappointed because the room I received did not match what I reasonably expected based on the photographs when booking.I can also make it a little firmer and more critical if you’re posting it as a Booking.com review.
Location was perfect for the stay. Room was well laid out.
Decor was in need of update. Bathroom could have been cleaner
Clean, convenient.
We received a poor bedroom update after our first night. Plus towel rail not working (room 107) so wet towels after a day left hanging.
Clean comfortable and friendly Nice bathroom Big comfortable bed Easy to find and plenty of parking Good value for the night
The plug sockets were too far away from the bed. There were some stains running down the paintwork on the wall. There was a loud party under the room in which my daughter stayed
Breakfast good
Basin in bedroom plug stuck so couldn’t use the basin at all , reported but nothing done about it , electricity tripped out in room when using hairdryer, so couldn’t make tea or coffee , reported but nothing done done about it
Breakfast was good
There was no lift and at our age getting a 20kg case up flights of stairs was too much
Large spacious room and comfortable bed. Had all the amenities needed for a couple of nights stay. Convenient location for motorway travel and getting into Loughborough. Breakfast was good. Staff polite and helpful.
Parking spaces quite tight for larger vehicles
Staff and breakfast excellent
Evening meal for the standard of hotel needs to be better
Location and breakfast
1 member of staff was rude, and was not made aware that the resturant was closed for dinner
Bed was comfy and aircon well needed
.
Great service ideal location for us easy check in and out Good sized room Buffet breakfast with plenty of choice
Our only comment was the carpet in the corridors to the rooms could do with replacing due to a number of marks on it
Ideal location for both Donington Park and the Great Central Railway. Breakfast was very good although due to having to be away early on the Sunday we were unable to have a cooked breakfast. Even so, the cereal bar was available as were hot and cold drinks. Breakfast timings do vary (7.00am weekdays, 7.30 Saturday and 8.00 Sundays). Rooms were very clean and tidy, with air conditioning.
Beds were a little on the hard side. The floors on the landing and in our room did creek a bit (but that wasn't a problem really.
Very clean and well located
No escalator
Well located for motorway and Loughborough access

For an overnight stop on our journey from Dorset it was very comfortable. Lots of car parking and vlose yooughborough Town centre and the motorway. It was as comfortable as on previous visits.
Nothing
Great value for the money. Very clean, comfortable (excellent bed) and very quiet in the night. All the facilities in the room you'd expect at the price point and on one of the hottest days of the year, controllable and very effective air-conditioning.
Clean, friendly staff.
No elevator
Decent, well equipped & clean
Squeaky floor boards and noisy doors ( inconsiderate people)
Breakfast Room Air Conditioning
Communal areas a bit tired looking patricularly corridors to rooms
Big room, friendly staff, modern room
The double bed was 2 singles pushed together so wasn’t very comfortable sometimes
Staff very polite, very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, vending machines for cold drinks..although quite expensive but was handy. Restaurant, coffee machine in lounge area (payable(
Carpets very stained in room and in corridors.
Friendly staff, very clean, spacious rooms lovely food
Nothing to dislike
Staff were helpful
Rooms are dated and not very clean No lights on the ceiling just lamps scattered around 1 plug socket in the room
Location was good
Beds were hard and room was damp
The staff are lovely, I had to leave 1 night early, and they gave me a refund without having to ask, what amazing people they are and very understanding. The hotel is comfortable and beautiful clean, easy parking and the food is beautiful, I have stayed here 4 times and will definitely stay again
Great value and comfortable
Beds are comfortable
The bath is to difficult to get in for a shower
The service and the staff was very friendly
Could not say anything was fine , for one night stay
Clean comfortable -car parking -staff were amazing
Very long walk along corridor no lifts
Staff are polite and professional
Exhaust in the bathroom was noisy and took so long before it stopped. You could hear people passing
Just the service was good
Carpet
Good staff, comfy bed and a good breakfast
High bath
We love staying here the staff are lovely and it's alway welcoming
Excellent hotel, clean and comfortable, good value for money. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything we wanted for a short stay.
Breakfast was not nice and the tables were dirty. The cleaners had left the clean sheets on the floor before going into the room.
Breakfast was very nice, with a wide selection of foods ,hotel is good location for donnington park.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.
We used the link hotel for our daughter’s graduation t the university. I have stayed before when previously visiting Loughborough. The rooms were clean and we had one night there.
It was an extremely hot evening and I had booked the hotel knowing there was air conditioning. However the unit in two of our rooms made an intermittent noise like a fog horn constantly throughout the night so I the end we had to switch it off to get some sleep. It wouldn’t have been too much of a problem if we hadn’t been in the middle of a heatwave
El desayuno y el trato.
La ubicación.
There was a mix up when we got to the hotel re the number of rooms we had booked but Emily B who was working on the front desk sorted it all out and was very helpful throughout our stay She was on the go all the time and nothing was too much trouble for her. She came and looked at our air con but was unable to fix it but did provide 2 fans.
The aircon in our room did not work. We were given two fans as there was no one in the hotel who could fix it but bearing in mind that temperatures were in the 30s it was not ideal Additionally the rate charged due to it being graduation week at £250 with no food included for our room was high especially as the air con did not work.
Great staff, great food, comfy beds!
Small bathroom, would prefer separate shower.
Typical large chain hotel with ac - a must in the current heatwave!!
Long walk to bedroom … room 245
Breakfast - ordinary. Could have been hotter.
Many of the carpets looked past their best and there were a lot of stains on them
Staff were helpful and friendly. Communal spaces were clean and bright
The rooms were dated and tatty, in need of redcoration. Carpets stained etc. Limited facilities, v basic drinks tray, not enough sockets, none by bed. Check deals on this hotel, the prices vary wildly. We originally booked direct and rooms were over £200 with no breakfast. I found same rooms on booking.com with breakfast for £175 so changed to book those. However, in the week of our booking we saw rooms on trip advisor for £50!! We were unable to change our booking at that point. Having now stayed at the hotel I would say the £75 mark is reasonable, we definitely didn't feel we got value for money.
Breakfast was surprisingly good. Staff friendly.
Carpets filthy and stained. Room not clean with hairs and crumbs on the seating and cup rings on surfaces. I was awoken at 5am by ants on my arm and got up to find them running around on the sheets of my bed... under and above the duvet. There were ants on the floor, ants on the desk and coffee station, ants crawling up my legs and even one ant on the toilet bowl! I had to leave and the receptionist told me that they were unaware of an ant problem in the room, although he did let slip that they were waiting for a pest control visit to deal with an ant infestation in the kitchen! I had to go and find somewhere to have breakfast and a coffee, but nothing was open, even at Donington services on M1, so I came back and ate breakfast from the self-service buffet when it opened, which I hadn't intended to risk, but which was surprisingly good. All this on top of the prices being more than trebled due to Loughborough graduation week. It really is disgraceful that "surge pricing" allows hotels to rip customers off in this way. My photos are screenshots from video and the ants on carpet are easy to see by their movement on video but hard to see on photo they are the little black dots. Video upload not supported on this site. I spent all day itching, having later found an ant in my bag in the car! We had three rooms, all were dirty, one had the ants. I asked for, and was given, a refund for the room infested with ants.
All the staff e met were friendly and helpful.Rooms are spacious ,and adequate . Breakfast was good .
The rooms are grubby and worn and need refreshing.. I had torn duvet cover . The sheets looked clean though so it could have been unseen.
Handy for uni and town centre. Plenty of parking. We didn’t have breakfast but ate out in town.
No lift. Was given a ground floor room which was fine.
Location to university Harvesters near by
Ants on carpet. Took video Flagged up to Reception staff on checking out.
Siisti huone ilmastoinnilla ja hintataso hyvä. Erittäin ystävällinen henkilökunta.
Air conditioned room, so good in the heat. The facilities were good and the room clean and comfortable bed.
It was a little further from town where friends were staying so options were a long walk or drive/ taxi. But that’s being extra picky.
Been going to see my daughter at university over 3 years. So I got to know all the staff. Great bunch.
Breakfast cold
Staff friendly
Very hard mattress very noisy air conditioning and people trying the door and setting off an alarm multiple times. Not good sound insulation and very expensive for a poor location. Breakfast cheapest possible ingredients left to dry out
Friendly staff. Good location for what we needed. Big room. Comfortable.
Our room was a very long walk. No lifts.
Close to the university, clean and comfy bed.
Nothing
Really clean and tidy Plenty of car parking and air conditioning in our room
We always stay at the Link hotel as it is very close to Loughborough university. The staff are friendly, room is comfortable and a good breakfast.
Breakfast was good plenty of food and a very good selection of cereals
Clean air conditioned room which was a god send in the current heat wave , didn't get time to use bar or restaurant, reception staff were excellent
Clean room Nice bathroom with bath
Communal corridors were shabby
Wir hatten eine sehr komfortable Unterkunft. Das Frühstück war super und es fehlte an nichts. Wir können auch das restaurant empfehlen. Das Personal war ausgesprochen höflich und zuvorkommend.
Es gibt nichts zu beklagen
The room and breakfast were amazing. The staff were very friendly. The close proximity to the university was the added bonus.
The price was good but could more competitive.
The down stairs (ground floor) is very welcoming and staff very polite
The bedroom was clean the flooring was very bad any movement the floor squeaks aircon made strange noise every few minutes, we have stayed here a few times but don’t think we will return
Friendly staff, great facilities. Value for money. So close proximity to university

Great locatipn for the University. Friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable room. Incredible value for money
Nothing
It was just so nice
We've used the link for many years, we've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We always try to book the link when ever we visit our family in Loughborough. Which is probably 5/6 times a year.
The only thing I found fault with was the bathroom needs some work done, eg the bathroom door has rotted away. We were in room number 132, and the carpets in the main corridor is stained with ether bleach or paint.
