Great location. Breakfast was nice. Leisure facilities good.

Bed and pillows were very hard. Didn’t sleep very well. Walls in the room were grubby.

It was a perfect location as my course was at the hotel.

It was noisy overnight.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

No normal tea bags in the room, tv remote did not work, had this problem last year too. Bar wasn't serving food. Aircon in the room would have been nice

Bedroom had no aircon - it was very warm and stuffy even with fan going. Room overall was great though.

I booked an extra night, was told to see reception to reactivate key, which I did Saturday on my return in the evening, however key didn't work Sunday on my return. Apparently you have to do it after 12 on the extra day.

pas de climatisation. Chambre donnant sur un cour avec des table du restaurent. Comme il faisait chaud on dormait les vitres ouvertes et il y avait du bruit et on avait l'odeur de cigarette de fumeurs. la restauration n'est pas trés variée et trés grasse. Un séminaire de l' Église de Jésus était présente pour le weekend et ses personne étaient trés bruyantes . C’était l'envahissement et l'anarchie au petit déjeuné.

The hotel was clean and well presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our only criticism is that the rooms were very warm as they have no air conditioning, making an uncomfortable nights sleep.

The self check in - no key cards available so member of staff had to come to me anyway. Only knew about registering car as had stayed before. Breakfast was awful- nowhere to sit - had to ask a member of staff to help me find a seat as eother occupied or full of dirty dishes. Toaster was set up incorrectly amd all toast etc was disappearing out the back of the machine. Bread knife was covered in chocolate spread - had to ask for a clean one. No jam etc in the help yourself machine. Couldn’t find any butter. Salmon not replenished. The fruit bowl had one solitary off colour and blemished orange in - not replenished during visit.

Had to move from first room as it was hot and smelt damp. Second room better but no air con, rooms had small table top fans that didn’t help. Was so warm and stuffy difficult to sleep

The food that we had was great.

The hotel need to resolve the door banging / slamming issues, they have door closers on the doors to the rooms, however these don’t seem to work and the noise of doors slamming woke us up many times. The rooms were very hot too, and whilst we appreciate the tower fan that were provided, the rooms were very uncomfortable despite the temperature being cool outside. Maybe allowing the windows to open a little more may help with this. I imagine during the heatwaves that we had this year, it would have been unbearable.

Restaurant is excellent - menu choice fab. Staff friendly, helpful and not annoyingly overly attentive (that's a positive!)

Breakfast maybe a little expensive. A coffee only option - maybe "to go" would help possibly for under £5? Would maybe gain from those not wanting to spend £16 on a coffee only?

Hotel was lovely and well maintained and modern with good facilities including a swimming pool.

Two issues were room was hot and had secured windows do not much air, fans were provided in teh room though. restaurant service was a bit slow, our starters went to another table in error and each course took around 45 minutes to deliver. Food itself was good.

Great location for the competition my son was involved in, great breakfast and lovely bar and food Funny side don’t believe the guy when he says it’s a 15 min walk to the tennis centre it’s approx 1.2 miles away lovely walk down to it but up hill on the way back, uber is £5 lol im getting old Great place honestly will defo book again

Night porter was rude. We couldn't sleep in the room no air-conditioning just a loud fan that blew hat air around. No vending machines as advertised we had to drive 10 minutes to get a drink at 4am.

Comfortable and ideal for conference

The restaurant was mainly vegan the only thing on the menu was fish and chips or burger and chips, I had the burger which was very nice, but the menu apart from that it was all vegan it was not my cup of tea, just look at the menu before you book the restaurant , the hotel ,room, pool area was great

Location was excellent, within the University, secure free parking, decent rooms. Restaurant & bar were big, airy and really comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and polite which was great. Breakfast buffet had a huge choice including vegetarian options, all the food was top quality. Pool, spa, outdoor seating areas all available for use.

My first room was very noisy there was a wedding on and I could hear everything in the Garden below my window all so I wanted a treatment in the spa but it was closed all weekend so was missed lead

The property was located great with respect to my reason for staying. The bar and pool facilities were great.

The room was extremely warm with no air from the window as the room was facing an annex (small square outdoor area). The room was on the ground floor with big floral bushes next to the window, insects could get into the window and we had to keep it open due to the heat of the room.

The hotel has excellent facilities and is comfortable. However, given the very warm weather the room was very hot and remained so throughout the night despite the use of a fan. The hotel didn't provide bottled water or biscuits in the room, something you would expect at a quality hotel.

Das Doppelbett war recht eng und etwas hart. Leider konnte man das Fenster nicht öffnen, so dass es im Zimmer sehr warm und stickig war.

The bedroom - which was clearly the purpose of the stay. No air-conditioning for a hotel charging £200 plus - to tiny fans is appealing. No sleep was had at all.

Location was great as we were attending an event at the university. We were grateful for the bar when we arrived after a long journey! Breakfast was good in the restaurant - decent value. All the staff were lovely and helpful.

We requested for a late checkout by 30 minutes (from 10 am to 10:30 am) but were not supported by the front desk staff citing that the hotel is very busy. My request was not unreasonable, even in a busy period, and was rather surprised at the response from the staff.

Bar closed at 11:00pm - despite being a private hotel, England world cup match on, and the bar full of customers. Food in Fifty restaurant was distinctly average. Breakfast Cooked early and left to-dry out under hot plates. Stale bread and reheated deserts for dinner. Staff were pleasant but not proactive when requested things.
