My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Downtown Knoxville. The front desk staff was welcoming, our room was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the restaurant. A special thank you to Jackson, Davin, and Josiah for their friendly valet service and for helping with our luggage and car. They made our stay even better. We can’t wait to come back!

I was attending at the Knoxville Convention Center and the Marriott was right across the street so perfect location! Hotel was super clean. The staff was very friendly and hospital. Shea and Adriana in particular were super helpful. I messed up my reservation and they helped me sort it out. Also there was a flood when I was leaving and ended up having to stay longer so they helped me extend my reservation. Would definitely stay here each time Im at the convention.

I've been checking into this Marriott every week for the past two years, and the 4 employees I constantly see at the front desk always make me feel welcome. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine smiles make every check-in quick and enjoyable. Purchased tickets for the “Front Row to the Fourth at Maker Exchange” and it turns out the event wasn’t there but downstairs in the old Knoxville Convention Center. I’ve attached a screenshot of the listing actually showing that the event wasn’t sponsored by The Tennessean hotel next door, which was incorrect as well. Actually, nothing about the event was as described. Talk about bait & switch.

Do not use this Marriott. I’m a lifetime Titanium member. Never complained. This hotel has no elite room upgrades and rooms are below par for a Marriott. “M” club has powdered eggs and an awful breakfast. Ran out of breakfast 20 minutes before closing. After breakfast, all they have are bags of chips and sodas and water. Hotel didn’t give me points. Had to call Bonvoy number to get them. I’ve left 2 voicemails with the general manager. Doesn’t bother to call me back.

Connor valeted my car. Very nice young man, helped me with all my belongings, considering I just had knee surgery this wa s a life saver. Thank you young sir!

Simon is the best he helped us so much with everything and was so sweet, made our experience 10 times better. Awesome experience!!!

Simon was absolutely incredible and made our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond—helping with our luggage, carrying everything to our room, and making sure our car was safely parked in the private lot. Later that night, I came down with a cough and was looking for some tea. Even then, Simon was more than happy to help us find exactly what we needed. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any cash on me to tip him, but if I were his boss, I’d give him a raise. He is genuinely one of the nicest, most helpful people I’ve ever met. He made my first trip to Knoxville an amazing experience, and I’d happily come back just because of the outstanding service he provided.

It’s close to almost everything downtown. The valet parking is awesome, it’s pricey, but you don’t have to worry about finding a spot to park! The rooms are super clean. They have a nice gym as well!

The water pressure of the bathroom sink wasn’t the best. Being downtown it is louder at night with sirens and cars.

My stay at the Marriott Downtown Knoxville exceeded every expectation. The hotel is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and perfectly located in the heart of downtown. Every staff member I encountered was welcoming and professional, making the entire experience feel first-class. What truly stood out, though, was the valet service. Josiah and his valet team went above and beyond to ensure every guest was taken care of. Their professionalism, and excellent service were obvious from the moment we arrived. Josiah greeted everyone with a positive attitude, kept the valet operation running smoothly even during busy times, and made sure our vehicle was handled with care. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely takes pride in creating an outstanding guest experience, but Josiah and his team absolutely do. They set the standard for customer service and hospitality. I highly recommend the Marriott Downtown Knoxville to anyone visiting the area. Between the excellent accommodations and the exceptional service from Josiah and the valet team, this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. I’ll definitely be back!

The valet experience was a complete disaster. Took over an hour to get car. Marriott do better.

The location was perfect for the wedding location in the park.

Our television wasn’t working, but eventually someone came to fix it.

We parked with valet this weekend and the service was super friendly and fast. I was pleasantly surprised to see how helpful they were with any questions I had. Bryce was super helpful all weekend.

Our experience at the hotel was excellent, and a big part of that was the outstanding service we received from Josiah. He was incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived, offering assistance with our bags and making sure our family felt welcomed and taken care of. Came in for dinner, while driving was just a Lyft the interaction of the front drive valet was great. Weather wasn't the greatest tonight but getting a warm welcome from Josiah, Nathan and Lukas was great. If you stop by the restaurant The Drawing Room and are craving something sweet don't forget to order the truffle cheesecake. Cheers guys

Second Stay—Mostly Great, But Valet Service Missed the Mark This was our second stay at the Marriott Knoxville Downtown. Our first visit was outstanding, which made this experience a bit disappointing by comparison. The positives: staff quickly resolved a key card issue at check-in, the fitness center is excellent, the bar staff was friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the late checkout that allowed us to enjoy breakfast in Market Square before leaving. Our room was on a different side of the hotel this time and experienced more street noise, but that’s understandable and not really within the hotel’s control. What bothered me was the departure experience. We paid $40-50 for valet parking, tipped the attendant in cash upon key exchange, and then loaded our own luggage while several valet staff members sat nearby on their phones. During the same time, another arriving couple with luggage appeared to receive little attention as well. For a hotel that otherwise delivers a quality experience, the lack of attentiveness at the front entrance was surprising. Hospitality isn’t just about check-in—it’s also about how guests are treated when they leave. The hotel itself remains very good, but the valet team has room for improvement.

Wonderful experience overall. Zach and Connor with valet were helpful and retrieved our vehicle with haste. Coffee shop was a nice touch along with the restaurant for plenty of dining options.

I spent one night in this hotel, on a business trip. I was at some point in the M Club lounge with my colleagues and there was no food or snacks left. One of the employees, Nina, took care of us with great professionalism and kindness, she brought us food and did her best to make sure we had what we needed to relax in the lounge, I tried to give her a tip and she politely refused. It is rare nowadays to experience that level of welcoming politeness and customer care. That made the difference during our trip. I recommend this structure.

The property was nice, and the staff were great!

We booked a room with a king bed and sleeper sofa before we arrived, we paid an outrageous amount for 1 night in my opinion, either way when we arrived we did valet which is the only thing they offer as far as parking but you have to pay for that as well which was an extra $40 for over night parking which is crazy but that’s my opinion. We get checked in and get to our room to find out it is a wheelchair accessible which is fine but it isn’t what we paid for at all, either was we get in the room to find out the air didn’t work at all it stayed 76-78 degrees all night so we stayed hot all night, the ac unit was leaking into the floor we assumed it was froze up or something, the shower flooded the whole bathroom floor because the shower head doesn’t move enough to keep it from spraying in the floor, so our stay was horrible. When we left the next morning we spoke to the front desk staff and she told us we got that room because they didn’t have any other room available but yet when we booked it online 2 hrs before we arrived it was available that’s why we went ahead and paid for it. So, needless to say we will not be staying here again. Good Luck to everyone else!

Our visit was wonderful in every way. The location in relation to the convention center, and market square. Having the shuttle so easily available was a plus that will bring us back! The room and service was great. Wish the plugs at the bedside had worked.

The location to the stadium has nice!

Had to pay an extra 40 bucks for parking even though I already paid almost 500 dollars for staying there.

Location was great, liked being within walking distance of downtown, UT, market street. Staff upon arrival was very friendly and helpful.

After booking our first night online as nonrefundable we decided to drive down the night before and called to add a night, the girl said she would have to get manager approval just to book the extra night separately. I did ask if I did that could we be guaranteed to not to have to change rooms, she agreed. Upon arrival I asked to combine the two nights but because they were booked separately they couldn't, we would have to check out on Sat AM, then back in but could stay in the same room. Busy with our plans I failed to go to the desk to check-out and back in so when we got to our room we were locked out, very frustrating that when I called she didn't just ask for approval to add a night to our reservation to avoid the back and forth

We did not get the room we reserved. We reserved a King room with sofa and bathroom that had disability accessible shower. We were given a room with a “Murphy bed” which I a sofa that folds down into a bed. We were told “there are no more rooms, sorry!” I was unable to sleep in the bed correctly due to the sofa arms were at the side of the bed and being disabled I could not get in and out of bed. I had to sleep backwards with my head at the foot of bed. I was not able to shower. It was so unprofessional.

TJ was an excellent valet. Most people rush off to the airport and continue with their day, but I felt compelled to take a moment to recognize the outstanding service I received. I usually stay away from social media, but the hotel was wonderful and the staff were even better. Leaving this review felt like the least I could do.

Came by for a game and ended up absolutely loving this Marriott! From the moment we arrived, everything felt so welcoming and well put together. The valet team was incredibly friendly and informative, giving us easy directions to World’s Fair Park along with great recommendations for family-friendly restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was lovely, clean, stylish, and full of charming little touches, including a cute art area and very well-kept restrooms. You can really tell the staff takes pride in keeping everything beautiful and comfortable. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be booking a stay here in the near future!

I came here for a friend’s event and had a great experience. I interacted with Jaydn at the drive, and he was a super respectful gentleman. The valet team did an excellent job directing traffic and communicating with guests—there was never a dull moment. The hotel itself is spacious and inviting, from the moment you arrive. Our flights were cancelled because of some bad storms and we were unable to get our luggage. We arrived at the hotel and Nina in the M-Club was extremely kind. She spoke with the manager of the Tennessean (Candace) and she was kind enough to loan us a robe so we could take a hot shower while we waited for our luggage to arrive at the airport. It was such a long day for us and we were exhausted. Nina in the M-Club made us feel so welcome and we looked forward to seeing her in the afternoon. Nina made us feel like we were visiting her in her home. What a wonderful feeling while traveling. Thank you Nina and Candace for your wonderful hospitality.

Over $1000 held on my card 5 days in to my stay for no reason. They won't release the holds in a reasonable amount of time. I was told at check in the hold would be for incidentals only, and that was not the case - they sure are quick to say they have "helped" me all they can, but won't offer any compensation for their mistake. No accountability or customer service.

Nina from M-Club, was on phenomenal and so friendly. She was so friendly and attentive.

We had a terrific experience! The hotel was beautiful and Simon was so helpful to us, we never even needed to ask for luggage assistance, he was ready for us. And he helped us find local restaurants and gave great directions. He also gave us a shuttle ride to dinner and arrived within minutes when we needed a pickup. Thank you Simon and Knoxville downtown Marriott! We’ll be back.

No heat night one. 25 degrees outside. Called at 11 pm and was informed no maintenance team in house but they would call. 8:30 AM still no call. Also finding several basic things didn’t work, no batteries/bulbs/etc. All of the little things can be overlooked, however one night with no heat is a problem. Informed since I prepaid my room they couldn’t refund me-so my problem essentially. Offered 1000 points. This room on a Friday night is equivalent of 44000 points…Director Sarah Brown offered 5000 points and 2 nights parking which is like 100$. Seriously people. Also would be great if they cleaned my room Saturday and got our trash and new towels/etc. They can’t even do basic stuff here. Avoid this place and never pre pay.

The valet parking situation was a little confusing, we sat waiting for a few minutes before we saw an employee to confirm that it was the correct drop off spot. I had really looked forward to ordering room service since the menu looked great. When I was unable to order via the app, we called down to the desk, we were told that room service was not available but there was a buffet downstairs, this was disapointing.

Noah Perke was very helpful and courteous. He was a true professional and took care of me and my girlfriends luggage. ! Promote him.

She made a great effort to accommodate our requests and truly did her best to fulfill them in a way that worked best for our satisfaction. Her dedication and willingness to help made our experience much better. Excellent customer service! Didn't get room upgrade as a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Member, even though the other front desk said it was upgraded room.

The restaurant was awful… Tried dinner and breakfast and both were very disappointing. The dinner seemed it was frozen and just tasteless. The server ended up camping us for the dinner which was very nice but for the Marriot I expected more. Then we move onto breakfast and once again it fell short. The bagel was so stale. I couldn’t eat it. I’ve been staying at the Marriot for years and never experienced too bad meals in a row.

One of the cleaner hotels in which I’ve stayed, room was tasteful and in good shape, comfortable bed, no pet or other odors in my room or hallway, friendly and helpful staff, convenient to I-40, quiet, not bothered by housekeeping or other staff when I slept in

I didn’t like having to pay for valet parking, but I was forewarned about that. Wouldn’t have felt safe parking on the nearby street, especially since I arrived late at night. Didn’t see any street parking within reasonable luggage-hauling distance anyway

There were dirty glasses on the carpet outside the door to the room when we arrived. there were no amenities in the bathroom. There was no menu or pen and paper on the desk.
