Mi è piaciuto l arredamento e lo stile della casa e il fatto di avere un deposito per biciclette

Al nostro arrivo la camera non era stata pulita: bagno e pavimento sporchi e polvere un po’ ovunque, soprattutto nell’angolo ristoro. Abbiamo dovuto inviare le foto al titolare, che ha fatto intervenire una persona per una pulizia veloce. Purtroppo, a quel punto, la fiducia nella pulizia della struttura era venuta meno.

Beautiful home and garden with antique furniture

A bit difficult to mobilise up and down the narrow stairs with suitcases

Location is just a short walk from bus stop. Very large bedroom with toilet and shower close by. Came and went as we pleased with no bother at all. Everything we needed was there.

House could use a deep clean but it's not dirty. No breakfast was offered but it didn't bother us.

Check in problemlos, Größe der Unterkunft für 3 Erw. sehr gut. Parkplatz und öffentliche Verkehrsmittel in der Nähe.

Ausstattung insgesamt veraltet, Sauberkeit nicht gut. Kaffee und Tee konnte zubereitet werden, aber kein Wasser im Küchenbereich. Waschmaschine und Trockner im Badezimmer in permanenter Benutzung durch den Vermieter. Badezimmertür nicht abschließbar.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The apartment is spacious, clean, and unique, with a beautifully maintained surrounding area. Communication with the hosts was perfect — they were extremely helpful, kind, and always ready to assist with anything needed. The home is very well equipped, so we had everything we could possibly need. A good night’s sleep is guaranteed, as the beds are incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended!

The house was a beautiful old property in a lovely residential area and close to shop and restaurants.

Unfortunately it wasn’t very clean. Only dusty, especially on the bathroom floor, bottoms of the sinks. The bedroom was quite dusty, however not dirty. The bed headboard and soft furnishings including the feather pillows smelt musty. But I must stress, they weren’t dirty. Needed freshening up or possibly a dry clean.

The location is good and the owner was very friendly and accomodating. Parking is outside but do not have to pay. The Rooms were big and the Rustic style is very appealing.

Since the Bathroom is outside the room and the house is old, you can hear the squecks or noise whrn you open the doors. The toilet bowl was not clean. I have to clean it before I use it. There was also a problem of the Water in the shower. It was warm at first but after I rinsed my Hair, it was very cold. The owner fixed it but the same problem occured again the next day in the 2 bathrooms.

Sfeervolle kamers met zorg ingericht. Kussen en dekbed sliepen heerlijk.

- De eigenaar was erg goed bereikbaar (en vriendelijk!) - Het verblijf is ruim, met een eettafel, koelkastje, etc.

Het kan wat gehorig zijn i.v.m. boven of onderburen die een kamer hebben geboekt. Wij hebben er geen problemen mee gehad, maar anders zou dit met oordopjes zijn opgelost.

Zimmer war nicht gelüftet,muffig überall dicke staubschichten.bettwäsche auch muffig ,geruch nach schweiss noch krümel überall vom vorgänger frühstück.kaffeetassen noch mit altem kaffeerand..badezimmer sehr lange nicht gereinigt .boden klebrig rollo am fenster schimmelig.duschglastüre nicht mehr durchschaubar von kalk und schmutz.badewannenrand voll schamhaare.spiegel fettig.seperate r toilettenraum so klein ,das türe bei benutzung meines mannes offenstehen bleiben musste(auf dem flur im offenen treppenhaus). Insgesamt so widerlich ,so das wir nach schlafloser nacht regelrecht geflüchtet sind .kein auge zugemacht.

Heerlijk groot, lekker bed. Ruime kamer. Grote badkamer, apart toilet. Badkamer en toilet wel via de gang, maar één stap vanaf de slaapkamer.

Het bed was niets voor mij, veel te warm (maar daar ben ik nogal gevoelig aan).

Vriendelijke ontvangst en de hulp / begeleiding via de telefoon door wegopbreking naar het pand. Ruime kamer dat is altijd fijn. Waterkoker, koffiezetapparaat glazen en kopjes etc. aanwezig op de kamer.

Het toilet op de gang en ook de badkamer, niet aaneensluitend aan de kamer zelf. Niet fijn als er eventueel mensen de trap opkomen. De verwarming tikte bijna de hele nacht. Warme kamer, het raam kon niet echt op een ventilatie stand. Gehorig je hoorde mensen in de ander kamer praten en hoesten.

Prachtig pand!

Very friendly and helpful host. We arrived slightly before the check in time, but he still welcomed us in and made a nice cup of coffee for us. Jan, the host, also gave us some must-see locations to visit. Would be back for sure.

Schiedam is an extraordinarily beautiful little town. The host was very helpful and friendly. Thanks Jan !

Die Lage ist okay, durch Strassenbaumassnahmen war die Unterkunft nicht mit dem Auto erreichbar, keine Parkmöglichkeiten in direkter Nähe.

The friendliness and hospitality of the host was exemplary and exceptional. The style and interior design of this place have been selected and put together with excellent care and precision.

Wat een prachtige kamer in een prachtig pand! En het bed was enorm en lag echt heerlijk! Ik ben zelf 1.80 en lag naast mijn snurkende man, maar genoeg ruimte om weg te rollen ;-) Verder was de gastheer top!

Amazing place. Really good communication throughout the day of us arriving as we were coming from the Polish border. Super amount of space as we never had a room with a living room as well. Great breakfast

The comfort and the informal ambiance. Ease of check in and moving around. The availability of enough coffee and tea. Comfortable beds. As we were in the top floor also a lot of privacy so feeling like as if at home.

No prepared breakfast nor ability to pre-order breakfast. Also the TV was not connected, or at least not clear how to connect, so could not be used.

Very comfortable & well equipped room with coffee maker, tea, fridge, table & chairs, huge big comfy bed. Bathroom & separate toilet adjacent. Street parking free & unlimited. Short walk to old town, restaurants etc. Host very helpful & friendly.

Very hospitable host. We felt really welcomed and could experience a real dutch home. Had everything we needed.

De eigenaar was supervriendelijk en ontving ons warm. We waren vroeg, maar mochten al op onze kamer. De kamer is prachtig ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijke douche ook.

There's a coffee machine and a tea kettle that you can use while hanging out in the lovely lounge area when you're not sleeping. We hadn't expected to receive a full floor when we rented it which was wonderful. It is also very accessible and a walking distance from the center of Schiedam. The building is also classic. The beds and pillows were comfy and we all had a good night's rest as far as I'm aware.

It was quite cold and we were told that we should turn the heathers off if we go out. When we got back in the night the heathers didn't turn on so we were freezing eve while we had put it on 5. When it finally began to work in the morning, we were asked to lower it to about 3 so that the owners could get some heat as well downstairs. There was electrical heating as well, but we had no clue how to turn those on and they hadn't explained to us how they worked. We also didn't like that the host came upstairs on 2 separate occasions to talk about the heating. Though we didn't mind it too much in the morning as we were all packed and about to leave, we did mind it when he came up in the late afternoon on our arrival day while we were getting dressed and ready to go to an event. It felt quite intrusive. We've also stumbled upon some small glass sherds while using the lounge area (without shoes on, oops).

Liked the overall decoration and vibe of the suites. You also get coffee and tea in your room with creamer and nice dishes. It is an old, nice house. Perfect for authentic stay.

The bath had lots of hair left in it, also some dirty bathrobes hung on rack in the bathroom. It was also chilly, especially in the bathroom and toilet, so bring warmer clothes. You have to carry your luggage up steep stairs.

Lovely people - great fun.

En trevlig våning med både rum till barnen, rum till oss och ett trevligt vardagsrum. Ägaren bor i våningen längst ner, en jättetrevlig man som hjälpte oss med massa trevliga tips på restauranger och bageri. Väldigt trevlig stad som jag lätt kunnat åka tillbaka till.

Tasteful and stylish equipped large rooms for living and sleeping, very and a nice renovated bathroom on the second floor of an traditional dutch house. There is an extra small room with two single bed, which is very comfortable, my kids liked it. You have easy acces to Schiedam cetrum (by foot) and to the next metro in 10 min, which brings you into Rotterdam centrum in about 15 min. You also can reach Den Haag in about 25 min from Schiedam Centrum. There are supermarkets and a bakery in walking distance. The first days when we arrived the weather was very hot, but there are cooling fans inside the appartement which were very nice. The owner is very helpful.

We were to thankful when our travel was delayed and the flexibility from our host. They let us in at midnight after 36 hours of travel. The beds were very comfortable and the suite was very clean and well appointed.

An old house. Our rooms were on the top floor. The host statement on the site: "Daily housekeeping" does not correspond to reality. Cleaning is not done when you arrive. The place is dirty, there is dust everywhere, on the floor, on the table as well. Carpets were not vacuumed. I suppose we were offered slippers to pass over the dust and dirt, but we did not use them as they were dirty. Poor hygiene. The host’s statement on the site: "a private bathroom" - couldn't be private at all. The bathroom is on the hallway. Could not stay in as the door doesn't lock. The water in the toilet flushes by pushing a button under it (and you do really need force to push it) The flush is very noisy. The host guarantees that there will be locks. Again false. The bedroom for children is really tiny and doesn’t have a lock as well. The door to the living room doesn't close. It can only be locked. The floors, the doors are creaking so it creates an unpleasant feeling when walking. The window in the master bedroom cannot be opened and it is written directly on the glass because the hinge is broken. The sockets in our rooms were far away from beds, table and nightstands so it was not comfortable to use them. Host statement: „People no matter the age stay for € 35 per person, per night when using an available extra bed.” We have requested an extra bed and surprisingly we were overcharged with 50 euro (the owner withdrew immediatelly from my card, without an approval, just by himself) although on the site a price of 35 euros is clearly mentioned. Accommodation is definitely not recommended.

when I booked it I had no idea we'd get an entire floor to ourselves, so that was a delightful surprise! Jan the host was super friendly and made us feel entirely at home. each room was tastefully decorated with lots of interesting items and pieces of furniture.

Logement bien placé car possible par tram d aller à Rotterdam. Chambre confortable au calme ; mobilier ancien avec la poussière qui va dessus. Totale liberté d aller venir . Logeur au repondant telephonique en français.

Great location just near old Schiedam. Large room with huge comfy bed. Weather was freezing but the house was warm and inviting. The robes were a nice touch and greatly appreciated.

This property was beautiful and perfect for our family. It gave us space to share meals as well as having our own bedrooms. The owner was delightful - very friendly and helpful. The steps are very steep, however, which is typical of Dutch properties so be mindful if this is going to be a problem for you. The house is easily accessible and within walking distance to Schiedam as well as shops and dining options. We used a taxi from the train station. Can’t wait to be back and to stay here again.

The house is full of character and in a great location and set up well for families on the top floor

We had some awful other guests in the floor below who were up loudly until 4am - they ignored the owner and us asking them to quieten down and had obviously been smoking and taken drugs and were very inappropriate given there were children in the house. NOT at all the owners fault just very unpleasant people.

We had a lively stay! Would recommend.

We had a lovely large room on the first floor (up one flight of stairs). It had a very comfortable king size bed. Across the hall was a large private bathroom with a great bath and a separate slightly snug toilet. Jan was a lovely host. Very kind and friendly. We'd highly recommend this place.

Lage.

The flat is situated at the roof floor of an old and not-renovated house. The house has beautiful architecture but is totally un-renovated and probably in it's original state. The bathroom is with small "convenience" toilet and without heating; the children's sleeping room is also without heating (directly under the non-isolated roof!). When we arrived, heating was shut-off in the living room and master bedroom (it's February and it's cold despite the mild winter), doors to the living room cannot be closed.... Worse of all is that the place is simply dirty, there is dust (a lot of dust!) from last months in every single place (openly on the carpets, floors, furniture, hidden under the bed, everywhere you look....), mold of the windows (the window in master bed room cannot be opened because the hinge is broken)... after one very bad night in such a dusty place and an asthmatic attack (provoked by immense amount of dust), we could not stay any longer (one more night was booked) in a place of such poor hygiene. The owner did not bother to listen any of our reasons, I was insulted and called names and we left in a rush. I cannot understand any of the good reviews for this property.... please stay away from this place, you simply don't need the trouble, cold and dirt like this. My best thanks goes to customer service of booking.com, I reported the property and booking.com customer service reacted fast. I was granted a refund for the second night that we did not use. Instead we found a lovely accommodation asap in vicinity and enjoyed the rest of our short holidays.... Offering people a dirty un-renovated accommodation without heating in all rooms/bathroom is a no-go for more than 150 Euro per night!

The neighbourhood was nice and quiet. The living area was very spacious and comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful.

The accommodation itself was noisy when people were moving around or closing doors (the doors were very creaky). Heating was not available in the bathroom nor in the 2nd bedroom booked. The 2nd bedroom also didn't have a door lock. Because of this we didn't feel comfortable when sleeping at night and during the day had to move all personal belongings into the bedroom that did have a lock.

The host is very welcoming and attentive, really made us feel at home, the room is very spacious as well as the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay completely and definitely a place we would recommend to anyone.

The most gracious and informative host. I had a delightful breakfast with him.

it was a shame I was passing through.
