Fantastisch gezellig ingericht appartement op centrale plek in Schiedam. Heerlijke bedden en mooie kwaliteit handdoeken en lakens. Aardige eigenaren! Een feest om er te verblijven!

Schiedam es precioso, un pueblo de postal. Está muy bien comunicado con el centro de Rotterdam. La casa es muy bonita y muy confortable, muy espaciosa, y tiene todo lo que se puede necesitar. Los dueños son encantadores; si los necesitas, están, pero no agobian.

Wir waren bereits das zweite Mal hier und kommen gerne wieder. Die Wohnung ist wunderschön. Die Bäder sind modern, die Betten sind bequem, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr symphatisch, Dazu die Lage, mitten im Herzen von Schiedam. Einfach toll.

Casa spaziosa e molto comoda per quattro persone, completamente ristrutturata all'interno di una abitazione del tempo. I proprietari sono fantastici e abitano al piano di sopra. Nel cortile interno tengono le loro galline che durante il giorno girano liberamente sulla strada. La casa è molto pulita, fresca di natura, letti molto comodi, bagno con doccia ampia, toilette di servizi ulteriore all'ingresso, grande zona giorno con cucina molto ben attrezzata. Lavasciuga (lavatrice con asciugatrice integrata).

Das Apartment ist perfekt: Zentral direkt an einem Kanal in der Altstadt gelegen, aber trotzdem schön ruhig. Fussläufig erreicht man viele Restaurants, Geschäfte und einen guten Supermarkt. Schiedam mit den Kanälen und Brücken ist wirklich charmant. Die Einrichtung der Wohnung ist sehr hochwertig und alles ist super sauber. Uns hat es wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Sehr nette Gastgeber! Vielen lieben Dank dafür, dass wir hier Urlaub machen durften.

Our stay at ‘t hart van Schiedam was nothing short of amazing. The serene and idyllic location on the canal paired with proximity to all the main sites of Schiedam, as well as being able to get to Rotterdam, Delft and so many other places via train which is a short 20 minute walk away makes this apartment an exceptional place to stay at. Pair this with the excellent hospitality and knowledge of the owners who live above and you will have a magnificent time staying here.

Die Lage am Kanal mitten in der Altstadt ist absolut traumhaft. Wir waren schon das zweite mal da und kommen gerne wieder. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und gemütlich. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett.

Logement spacieux et chic dans une maison de 150 ans, récemment rénovée et très bien équipée. 2 toilettes. Accès par une cour intérieure agrémentée de verdure et ... de 4 poules (très discrètes) offrant un oeuf frais chaque matin ! Environnement calme directement sur le bord du canal, rue peu fréquentée. Moulins à vent (!), cafés, restaurants, épiceries etc. à proximité. Stationnement payant facile dans les rues adjacentes, sinon dans un parking à moins de 10 minutes de marche. Emplacement idéal pour visiter Leyde, La Haye, Keurkenhof et les champs de fleurs.

Bij ontvangst hadden we een hartelijk welkom. Sleutels werden ons persoonlijk overhandigd, met een rondleiding door onze accommodatie. Wij voelden ons meteen welkom! Een schitterende en schone accommodatie van alle gemak voorzien. Dichtbij voldoende ruimte om te parkeren. Komen er zeker nog een terug.

This apartment was a lovely find in the heart of historic Schiedam—it was a winter visit to see my daughter who's studying at Erasmus university. A little cold to enjoy walking around the locality but I can imagine it's lovely during the summer months. Some excellent recommendations for a local bakery, cafes & nearby restaurants from our very helpful hosts who live next door. I was initially a little worried about how far Schiedam was from Rotterdam Centrum but it has an excellent (and reasonably priced) tram link into the city in addition to a train station. There was canal side public parking for a reasonable daily rate. The apartment was amazing - an old canal side beautifully renovated property. We also loved the chickens in the courtyard!

Apartment was beautiful and the location was great. Heated floors throughout are awesome and the shower looked like a 5 star hotel. Various bakeries and a fantastic library all within few minutes walking.

Everything was perfect! Host is wonderful! Very big apartment, very well designed, modern fixtures, quiet, great location, great town, loved everything! Nicest place we have stayed at in many years!

The host was amazing. She was very accommodating, friendly, and flexible. Additionally, the location and apartment itself were simply amazing. It was also easy for us to have privacy even while traveling with children since the rooms are separated by a hallway, and the extra half bath made a huge difference. While the full-service kitchen was moderate in size, it was modern and well-kept. Some additional pleasant surprises: Fresh eggs from the chickens in the atrium, the heated floors, and the chest of games we could play as a group. We loved our stay!

Since there was a washing machine, it would've been nice to have a dryer in the unit as well. However, there were ample drying racks we could use in its absence.

Freundlichkeit der Vermieter, freundliche und umfassende Einführung, gute Tipps, tolle Lage der Wohnung in dem schönen Ort, Sauberkeit, Großzügigkeit bei Verbrauchsmitteln, gute Parkmöglichkeiten.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Frisch restauriertes Gebäude von vielleicht 1720 mit viel Charme. Komme gerne wieder.

Die Lage an der Gracht, in unmittelbarer Nähe von Rotterdam und zugleich nah an Den Haag, Leiden und dem Meer, war ideal, um viel zu sehen.

Værterne og deres søde hunde, meget venlig sindet værtspar. Lejligheden var meget fin og der var rent alle steder, lejligheden var rummelig til 2 par, fine soveværelser, stort flot badeværelse, dejligt køkken med alt hvad vi skulle bruge, meget hyggelig stue, det var et meget behageligt 3 dages ophold. hyggelig gårdhave og meget centralt beliggenhed. Tak for æg og smagsprøve af Genever. hilsen Ginklubben.

The property was exceptional! Host greeted us on arrival, explained everything & gave us a list of local recommendations. It was approx 20 min walk from train station, with lots of bars & restaurants nearby. Apartment had excellent facilities & was comfortable & quiet. We have no hesitation in recommending this property. We hope to visit again.

Alles war TOP! Eigentlich dürften wir dieses Bijoux von Wohnung im Herzen von Schiedam gar nicht gross promoten, damit es ein Hideaway bleibt. Cor + Ilse als herzliche Gastgeber haben die Wohnung so eingerichtet, wie sie selber gerne darin wohnen würden. Es fehlt an nichts - TOP ausgestattete Küche, traumhaftes Bad, sehr geschmacksvolle Einrichtung, traumhafte Matratzen, viel Ambiente auch dank der hohen Decke, mit viel Raum fürs Auge und fürs Herz! Es war einer der besten Ferienwohnungen, die wir auf allen unseren Reisen je hatten! Wir gingen nur schweren Herzens wieder fort. Hinzu kommt die unglaubliche Ruhe im Zentrum von Schiedam - kein Verkehr, keine Hektik - maximale Entschleunigung! Die Grachten und die Ruhe des Wassers tragen das ihrige dazu bei! Der Bäcker gleich um die Ecke hat traumhafte Croissants und Brioche! Nebst dem touristischen Rotterdam ist Schiedam eine Wohltat, mit viel einheimischem Groove. Die Ferienwohnung ist dabei eigentlich das Sahnehäubchen inmitten dieser Oase! DANKE, dass wir da sein durften! Die Hunde und die Hühner (mit eigenem Warnschild an der Zufahrtsstrasse am Kanal) kommen als so schöne Abwechslung noch dazu! Zudem konnten wir für rund € 12 pro Tag direkt am Kanal parken (am Sonntag sogar gratis).

This apartment is an absolute gem in the heart of historic Schiedam—a fantastic location surrounded by charm and character. The space itself is spacious, beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. Plus, the excellent transport links made exploring the area a breeze. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and local charm.

Hosts were lovely and so welcoming - they were quick to respond to any messages and provided us with information on the area. Accommodation was in a beautiful area with cute little restaurants and windmills nearby. The accommodation itself was clean, spacious and modern combined with a gorgeous cobbled exterior. The chickens were adorable little neighbours that provided us with some fresh eggs in the morning (unfortunately we were always in a rush in the morning so didn't get to enjoy). Would love to stay here again with more time so we could truly enjoy the area more!

Eine tolle Wohnung direkt am Kanal liebevoll eingerichtet und ausgestattet mit allem was man benötigt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Man ist schnell zu Fuß an der Metro und kann in die Innenstadt zum Sightseeing fahren. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder und bedanken uns herzlich.

Eine sehr schöne, moderne Wohnung in einem sehr schönen Haus. Bequeme Betten, toll ausgestattete Küche. Besser geht's nicht.

These were amazing apartments, everything was done with love, thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details, and the apartment had everything we needed. Excellent beds and linens. Nice bathroom. There is nothing I would add or change. Simply 10/10.

Apartment / facilities were superb. Extremely relaxed atmosphere, especially with incredible outdoor plants. Very close to centre / restaurants. Perfect hosts, who were wonderful. Very accommodating, informative and helpful.

Location, adjacent to interesting town scape and canal with lots of lovely plants was what caught our eye. The chicken friends were an added bonus. Being able to use the outside seat and was the day, foot traffic and watercraft go by. Thoughtful hosts with suggestions about local sights to visit, eating options to explore while also encouraging us to take time out and make use of the outside seat. Kitchen well appointed, easy to use washing machine and dish washer so the travel laundry was under control, while eating in was just as pleasant and discovering local haunts.

That we should have booked a longer stay, as far as location and facilities all were above expectation.

Gorgeous apartment in a beautiful location. Excellent facilities. The host was very friendly and met us on arrival and showed us around the apartment. I highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Located in a lovely town with canals and windmill. Spacious, brightly lit and well equipped kitchen stuffed with condiments. Ilse was very gracious to pick us up at the Troelstralaan metrostation in the rain. Even adjusted the floor heaters in the apartment to suit our choice.

This apartment and the owners are wonderful. The apartment is large, bright and super modern, with everything we could need. A perfect place to stay. Before booking this apartment, I was looking to stay somewhere closer to Rotterdam, which was a huge mistake. Schiedam is a wonderful area to stay in, very convenient for both train and metro, has great places to eat and the people are so friendly. If you get the chance, this is the place where you should stay.

Fabulous location on the side of a canal with lots of trees and flowers. It was quiet and so relaxing. Llise made us feel at home immediately and nothing was too much bother . The apartment on the ground floor is so spacious so well equipped and we took advantage of the kitchen facilities. The bed was so comfortable and so quiet. The bonus room as having the chickens in the courtyard who greeted you each time you came home. Schiedam is a hidden gem with lots of good bars and restaurants and a lively market. We were so pleased to have found the apartment and would definitely stay again as easy to get to Amsterdam ( and much cheaper) as well as Rotterdam and The Hague If we could give it 11 out of 10 we would. All beds made as singles - double would have been nice as rather than just two singles pushed together. Made for a bit of an uncomfortable sleep

The apartment is a true gem. The space is huge compared to anything else available in Schiedam The beds and bathrooms just as we wanted them : a treat for the soul. Communication with Ilse was very quick and easy.

Being a historic canal house with multiple floors you gave to expect the odd noise of people walking down the stairs. Nothing that worried us though.

This is a truly special apartment. Our host met us for check in and gave us the tour, and we were greeted by their dogs and chickens! The apartment was spotless, airy, quiet, and calm. The historic part of Schiedam is very idyllic and we were situated on the canal and near the main museums and bars. Everything we needed was provided in the stocked kitchen, and the bathroom was very grand with a powerful shower. I'd also recommend this for family stays as there are 2 toilets and a dining area.

Location is wonderful, picture postcard canal-side. Easy access to Scheidam central station and water taxi. Plus restaurants, cafes, bars and shops all within very short walk. Stylishly furnished interior, fully equipped.

Nothing bad to say, we loved our 4 days there, but perhaps a bit more storage in the bedrooms so we could hang up/ unpack some clothes would have been helpful.

The property situated on the bank of the main canal in Schiedam was a perfect location with outstanding views. The house had great character and was equipped with every required kitchen utensil. The apartment was situated on the ground floor and the owners Ilse and Cor lived on the floor above. They were easily contactable whenever required. The artisan bread shop just round the corner was very useful. Highly recommended and we would choose to stay there again if we revisit Schiedam. Thank you Ilse and Cor.

The location of this apartment couldn't be better - Schiedam is a lovely, quiet, picturesque town that is every travellers dream. Our host Ilse was exceptionally friendly and helpful, taking a few moments upon arrival to answer our questions about the town and it's facilities. The apartment was bright and airy but still warm and inviting, we were very comfortable as a group of 4 (2 couples). Highly recommend!

This is an fantastic apartment newly renovated in an charming old traditional Dutch house. We were staying with our two adult daughters and the apartment exceeded expectations, Near to grocery stores and a number of good restaurants in walking distance. There is both a tram and trains going into the Rotterdam city. We were welcomed directly by the owners, who are living in the same building.
