Receptionist was abrupt and unhelpful.

Location
We had arrived early and were waiting around as no one at reception, when I asked for service I was told abruptly that check in was at 3pm , we then had to take our bags back to the car as we were not offered somewhere to place our bags until 3pm
Very central
Our room, also small was perfect for our 1 night stay. Very comfortable.Couldn’t fault the staff. We loved the view out the front over the loch and dinner and especially breakfast there was fabulous. Huge options for continental and cooked breakfast.
Everything was great!
Fantastic location, couldn't be faulted. Rooms are spotlessly clean and well maintained, looks like it's had a major refurb.
Parking has been sacrificed to outdoor seating area. Staff on arrival didn't seem to be overly bothered with us hardly looking up from what they were doing.
Great location, friendly staff
Stuffy atmosphere in the bedroom
Fantastic location and dining facilities.
Nothing
We only stayed a night but it was pictures perfect
Vistas, desayuno todo muy bueno. Nos encantó el porrige
Suelo regulero y habitaciones un poco pequeñas
Central location. Easy booking in. Rooms clean staff informative.dinner was good breakfast was ok bacon to well done.
Nothing
Great location, food was very nice
Most staff were fine, but there was one who somewhat ruined the experience for me. I’ll not put it, but will write to the hotel directly.
Ongelooflijk goed ontvangen, zeer fijn personeel.
Staff was great, our room and bathroom were clean, the breakfast was very good! The area is fun to visit and we would stay here again!!
There was not anything that we did not like!
Localisation Confort agréable
Rien
Good staff.
The view from the bedroom was fantastic.
Nothing not to like.
Confortable y acogedor
La cama plegable
The room was warm and although somewhat dated, the bathroom was fairly modern and very clean.
Breakfast wasn’t included, which was not understood when booking. The room could do either some upgrading. The first member of staff we met could use some training regarding his demeanour and customer service. My 9 year old even noticed this. However the receptionist who took over was very polite and friendly.
amazing breakfast
Great location with pub overlooking Loch.
The view
Location and view. Breakfast was good.
Check in was unnecessarily long, despite filling out the e-check in documents online beforehand. I queued for quite some time and then was made to go back to my car for a physical bank card before being allowed my room key, which was a hassle as I was travelling alone with my dog and the car park was full so I had to park off-site. I was then charged £15 for my dog (no pre-warning of this online!). The room was tiny, stuffy and warm, definitely not worth the £200 I spent (actually £215 after the fee for my dog!!!!). They also were playing loud dance music outside until 11:30 at night which was very unnecessary as there wasn’t a single person sat out there, and I couldn’t shut my window as the room was so stuffy and warm.
Very nice breakfasts and serving staff went above and beyond. Other staff through hotel were also accommodating and pleasant. Lovely situated close to the loch.
Really need to think about filters for drinking water, tea, coffee as smell and taste very off putting. Didnt feel it was value for money.
breakfast was great
Great location
Difficult parking
Fast and friendly check in. Easy to find location and right next to the castle and town centre. Clean, quiet and everything worked. Comfy bed and pillows. Good size room and ensuite. Shower had good pressure and hot. Dinner and breakfast options were very nice.
Lots of stairs. Parking limited.
Very nice breakfast room/restaurant and the location is brilliant, with rooms offering great views of the loch.
The hotel reception staff were not friendly at all (except for the spanish gentleman). Smiles or greetings were extremely scarce and made me and my family feel quite unwelcome. Staff at the restaurant were perfectly friendly and nice. The shower drain was also slow, forcing me to take frequent pauses while showering to avoid the water overflowing onto the bathroom floor.
Good lovation and reasonably priced
Lack of parking
The view from the front street
Floor in bathroom was in a terrible state it was rotten in places and felt like we could fall through it
Sehr gutes Frühstück
Lovely view and location. Dinner in the restaurant was good and the kids enjoyed the pizza!
That the parking was an additional cost on top of the already expensive price of £180 for one night and no breakfast was included. Although the room was clean there were some rogue hairs in the bathroom and I could hear snoring from the room next door.
L'emplacement
Close to everything
Stairs to the top floor carrying bags was difficult
no elevator
We really enjoyed our one-night stay at The Inveraray Inn. Our room had a lovely view of the loch, and all of the staff were really friendly and helpful. We also had dinner at the hotel, which was delicious, reasonably priced and had generous portion sizes. Breakfast the following morning was also really good. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we would happily return.
The room was lovely overall, although it could benefit from a little updating in places, with things such as the skirting boards looking a little tired. The main downside for us was the lack of parking. There isn't much parking available at the property, so we had to park further up the street and pay £9.
It is a place we have been going to for years as we Love Inveraray as my husband has dementia thought it would be good for us and him to reminisce
The car park is gone and carpark pay at £1.20 an hour, so we were there 22hours. Husband can't walk far and it was disappointing for us . It needs to be on for people to realise they will be an extra £20 Or so
Excellent location, lovely restaurant and friendly staff.
Only 5 car park spaces at hotel.
El personal, la ubicación y el desayuno
Breakfast was ok,Buffet style the usual continental, cereals toast croissants jams cheese. Scottish, bacon eggs tomatoes sausage.
The herb sausage would've preferred plain, not enough fruit and pastries.
We never had breakfast as we wanted to suit ourselves when to eat, location was great and our room had a great view of the loch. We did have meals in the evening in the hotel and they were really nice.
Stairs to my room
Location
Basic rooms, traffic noise a problem
Clean and a view just what we wanted Some bar staff need to work on their customer service .
Stairs bit of a problem for my wife
Both good
No lift.

Lovely quiet and relaxing room on the second floor. I slept like a log. Very clean room and incredibly comfortable bed. Bathroom was large, super clean and snelled great. It was modern, bright and very well set up with a bath and overbath shower. Lovely Highland Soap Company toiletries and fluffy white towels made it a very relaxing experience. Was very happy to have booked this smashing twin room at the last minute for a short break. I ate in the lounge and had delicious scampi, chips and salad followed by tablet ice cream and a big pot of tea with shortbread. The service was friendly and very professional and the dinner was delicious and very good value. Overall I cannot fault this traditional hotel. It is always a great experience whether for a long break or a shorter one booked last minute like this one was. The staff are all absolutely lovely and very helpful...and when you're travelling solo like I was, this really makes your experience so much better. I always feel safe and happy here. Thanks once again for a great break. Be back soon to my favourite hotel in Argyll!
Nothing at all.
I loved the room, with the view. Wished I could stay longer. The staff were lovely.
Nothing
Mooie lokatie in klein fraai dorpje vlak naast Inveraray Castle. . . En "last but not least" ontzettend aardige attente correcte bediening door jongeman tijdens ontbijt.
Inveraray
Noisy plant room/shed outside our room. Kept us awake all night
Precio algo elevado
Bien situé, belle chambre
Matelas trop mou
Comfortable clean hotel in the centre of Inverary
Comfy room and pleasant service. Food is excellent.
Can be noisy at night if your room overlooks the outdoor seating at the side entrance of the bar.
Very relaxed and great service
Letto scomodo, materasso poco accogliente
Location is stunning. Food was very good. Lady on reception desk was very helpful. Bathroom was spacious.
Service from staff in the bar and on food was really poor - some had no idea what they were doing. Room was small, especially for the high price.
The view from the window was nice
The lack of parking and the distance to walk also lack of security of leaving your vehicle so far away in pouring torrents of rain, let’s just say I wouldn’t have walked back to the car if I’d forgotten my toothbrush and they had the cheek to ask for my car registration. Lol
Overall nice hotel, cozy rooms and great location.
I chose specifically this hotel as it indicated parking spaces available. However, there were none, and we had to park in a car park nearby.
Great stopover!
Myself and friends have stayed on numerous occasions over the last 7 years and always been able to park our motorcycles out the way in the courtyard and never had any issues before. This is one of the main reasons why we used this hotel on so many occasions because the bikes are out of sight. However, on this occasion the receptionist was very abrupt towards us and insisted that we had to move the bikes even though there were clearly 5 other touring bikes parked there and customers are not supposed to park in the courtyard she also said the bikes that were parked were staff bikes even though 3 of them were from our group that got there earlier than us. It was very frustrating and seriously put into questions whether we stay there again and we spend about £800 on accommodation and would probably would of spent about 400 to 500 on food and drink however on this occasion we decided to take the money we would of spent on food and drink to another establishment.
Location , cleanliness , food
Nothing
We had a large, comfortable and well equipped bedroom which was decorated to a high standard as was the Ensuite Bathroom. Lunch in the Bar was really good and tasty and the breakfast was delicious..
All ok
Location
No hot water in the morning shower. Yes I'm fully licensed to work the shower taps. Ran the water for 10 mins on all settings, no hot water.
Close to town
Limited parking
BW hotels always deliver, helpful staff, pleasant spotless room, good food, fantastic little town.
Nothing comes to mind to criticise here
Location was awesome on edge of the loch
Beds okay but thought would been better
A bit pricey !
Cost
Great staff
The staff were friendly, the rooms were nice and comfortable and food was good
Not a great selection of flavoured gins and no salmon on the menu for breakfast which was advertised
room
Great staff and food.
Location was great. Walkable distance from the Castle. Rooms were not very big but had window with view. It has lake facing view and good restaurant below. Though Service was slow, food was fine.
The staircase at the hotel is very difficult to navigate with luggage.
the hotel in a great location in need of a wee makeover
poor continental breakfast
Mooie en leuke plek, prima hygiene en goed bed
Lovely location. Friendly staff.
The continental breakfast was poor value for money
We loved visiting the historic Inveraray Inn on Loch Fyne, Scotland on 16.06.26 😊❤️ The Inveraray Inn is a historic 3-star hotel located on Front Street East in Inveraray, Scotland. Originally built in the 18th century, this vintage property overlooks the waters of Loch Fyne and offers a mix of traditional charm and modern hotel amenities. Designed by the acclaimed architect John Adam and opened in 1755, The Inveraray Inn is one of the oldest and most historic hotels on the west coast of Scotland. Originally built as "The Great Inn" to accommodate visitors to Inveraray Castle, the inn has evolved with the town over the centuries. 1744: The third Duke of Argyll initiates a major project to rebuild the town of Inveraray and Inveraray Castle, commissioning architect John Adam to help design the settlement. 1755: The Inveraray Inn officially opens its doors. It is built in a classic Georgian style. 18th & 19th Centuries: Throughout its early history, the property operates under several names, including "The Great Inn", "The New Inn", "The Argyll Arms Hotel", and "The Argyll Hotel". The Steamship Era: The growth of steamship travel along the River Clyde transforms Inveraray into a popular tourist destination, with the hotel serving eager Victorian travellers. Modern Day: Now operating as The Inveraray Inn, the 36-bedroom listed building offers Highland hospitality and remains one of the most distinguished accommodations in Argyll & Bute. Inveraray is a historic planned town and former royal burgh in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, famously situated on the western shore of Loch Fyne. Known traditionally as the "Capital of Argyll," this 18th-century town was completely rebuilt by the 5th Duke of Argyll, resulting in its highly distinctive, unified Georgian architecture and striking whitewashed buildings. It serves as the ancestral seat of the Dukes of Argyll and the Clan Campbell 😊
Beautiful position near the loch. Dog friendly. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good food. Spacious rooms with quality toiletries and big accessible showers.
Minor niggle in that waste basket in one room had not been emptied since previous guests
Personal wirkte etwas gestresst.
Wygodny pokój z komfortowymi łóżkami, świetna lokalizacja obok zamku i w centrum uroczej mieściny
Excellent location for a highland tour. Easy EV charging in the car park next door. Staff were friendly and helpful and the dinner was superb.

Everything else!
Stunning views from room. Breakfast was excellent.
Shower door could do with a new trim.
It is a beautiful place. I had a beautiful view from the window, and it was so peaceful. If there was any noise later on, it soon subsided at the appropriate time. The breakfast room was great as was the breakfast. I really enjoyed my few days here.
I knew the hotel didn't have a lift and it was a bit difficult for me getting up the stairs, but I suppose in an old building, a lift is out of the question. That's all really, but it would put me off going again.
breakfast fine. room clean and comfy.
The external photo shows parking outside the premises. This has been converted to a Beer Garden. The attitude of the receptionist was that finding somewhere to park was our problem and the nearest overnight parking, which was insecure, and was almost half a mile away. There is no lift. Please note:- we are in our late seventies and our mobility is not brilliant.
Dinner and Breakfast was amazing. Great food Room was okay but unfortunately our clients said the beds were so soft they could feel the springs. Location was outstanding Staff were helpful and friendly - nicest team (very rare these days).
Mattresses might need to be changed.
The Inveraray Inn has the perfect location, overlooking Loch Fyne and a stones throw from amenities and attractions. But, whilst pleasant enough, it’s overpriced and getting ready for some refurbishment. During a previous trip to Inveraray a couple of years ago, I stayed at the Loch Fyne hotel, which whilst a little way out of town was similarly priced, had better facilities, including a pool & spa, nicer rooms and it’s own car park.
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The bathroom was clean. It served our purposes well. We would stay there again.
Our room was on an upper floor and we had to take a number of steps to get there as there is no lift. A bit of a tug but still manageable. Since it is an older building they may not have the ability to change the hotel.
The lady on reception was excellent. We ate in the bar and the meal was good as was the breakfast. Its a good location and we had a great view of the loch. Shower was good.
Room was fairly basic. Only one bedside lamp for a double room. 10% service charge in the bar for very basic service. Staff are paid minimum or living wage, why am I topping up their wages? Breakfast service was poor but once again the lady on reception sorted things for us. We had to pay to park at the public car park because they have put tables on their car park. We had to go down before breakfast to put more money on the ticket.
Great location with a loch facing room. The staff were so friendly, helpful and polite.
Car parking not the easiest and the rooms were superficially clean but we’re in need of a deep clean.
Staff and location
Very uncomfortable bed. Food not good value for money
Great location. Huge room. Bathroom well appointed.
The online photos of the property, dining area and food didn’t reflect reality. Unfortunately there was scaffolding up when we went. Sadly, the communal areas were generally tired and needing some TLC. The food is very much ‘pub grub’. I very much like good pub grub but the images led me to believe that there was more of a restaurant standard,
Friendly staff, speedy check in and comfortable bed
We were happy with everything
