The staff were really helpful and friendly. The insight restaurant was lovely.

It was a little dated and tired looking. Grouting in showers need seeing to. The tv is not connected to Netflix etc. Normally wouldn’t bother but it was torrential rain so we were stuck in room. It was extremely hot in rooms and upper floor. Heating full on even though just beginning of September.

Staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is comfortable and very clean and Loch Fyne is beautiful. Our dog was very welcome. The food was exceptional and the bar area spacious looking out onto the Loch. The Spa was lovely, nice pool.

We approached on the A83 from the south and no signage facing that side so drove past and missed turning. Parking tended to be a bit congested when busy and mini buses parked right at entrance made unloading luggage a bit of a challenge.

Floor thick tweed carpets need to be replaced by parquet flooring due to the fact that hotel is pet friendly flooring needs to be washed regularly to remove bad odours of wet carpets etc etc. As much as the hotel is a historical one, one needs to move with time and upgrade the premises to keep up with the competition in this day and age. Thankfully we were only there for one night as alothough we had a big a spacious ine by today's standards, the view was awful looking onto a back yard where linen disposal/delivery was carried out constantly until 7am -11pm. Our Room was no 216 which is on the first floor so the loud noise of trolley baskets was quite loud. We had a double bed made up from 2 singles which was quite big but mattresses caved in and needed replacing.

Well hard to say as we picked the room & staff were very helpful with bags but the suites are up 2 in our case ‘The craws Nest’ was up 3 flights of stairs, no lift in the original building! Would we stay in one of the suites again, absolutely.

Loch Fyne hotels has been one of our most favourite holidays and places to stay! The staff were just superb! so kind, helpful, friendly and oh my the best dog loving lot I’ve ever met! Our little pooch Nala was PAMPERED!! Sausages for breakfast how are wee going to compete! The Breaky was top notch and the bar staff just knew what to whip up for you after a windy day walking the hills. We really felt catered to this trip and will definitely come back. Could not recommend more!!

The prices in the restaurant were a touch on the high side e.g £40 for mains. However, the food itself was indeed worth it with the Seafood linguine being fabulous - but the table service recieved was a big letdown. Had to ask twice for water, and then not refilled - empty water being because the wine had not arrived! Had to ask twice for the bottle of wine to be served. This even though we had willingly agreed to an inconvenient time, plainly to stagger the service. Yet had to try to 'catch' a waiter as nobody watching the tables or returning to check needs. To recieve such extremely patchy slow service was not what should be expected. As I say, food itself was great though - were preparted to wait for that.

Our roomhad stains up the wall and a stale smell as you entered the room, nothing that affected our stay but I was aware of it when we left and came back into the room.

Only one fault, our bathroom makeup mirror was broken. Otherwise another perfect stay.

The location is superb, right on the Loch shore making for spectacular evening sunrises and morning sunsets. The rooms were spacious, quiet and wonderfully clean. Good breakfast, good variety of food, including Scottish breakfast and continental fare.

It would be great to have freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh bread. Maybe a fridge with complimentary water in the room. The dinner we had in the restaurant one evening was very tasty but felt a little overpriced. WiFi was not secure but worked. The telephone in our room, we were told, was not working for the duration of the stay, but I loved the retro telephone!

Lovely small and friendly hotel, right on Loch Fyne and walkable to inveraray. Staff were extremely engaging and informative, always ready to help and give solid advice. Has a small, but functional Spa and pool and hot tub/sauna facilities which are excellent quality. Very dog friendly and easy access to all the surrounding areas.

If there was any grumble, maybe the rooms could have been slightly larger for the price you pay, but that's all visible on the website anyhow.

Unfortunately, the spa experience was very different and significantly let the hotel down, particularly given that this is advertised as a 4-star spa hotel. We had booked and paid £29 per person for an hour in the outdoor thermal experience at 9am. When we arrived, the hot tub was covered and appeared to be switched off, despite the spa having supposedly been open since 7am. There was nobody around to assist us or prepare it, so we were unable to use it during our booked session. A member of staff eventually appeared shortly before 10am, tested the water and then closed the hot tub. While we were using the sauna, the same staff member came to the door, tapped her wristwatch and shouted through the door, “Did you pay to be here?” She repeated the question before we confirmed that we had paid, at which point she simply walked away. I found the manner unnecessarily confrontational and quite embarrassing, particularly when we were paying guests using a pre-booked facility. The cleanliness and housekeeping around the spa were also disappointing. At around 10am there were no clean towels available in the changing room, only used ones, and areas we had noticed were dirty when we arrived at 9am still appeared not to have been cleaned. We saw the same issues again later in the morning. Most concerningly, I personally witnessed the same member of staff take what appeared to be one of the white towels provided for spa guests and use it to mop the floor of the communal toilet after a male guest had left, before continuing to use the towel on the communal hallway floor. I raised this at reception, where several members of staff were present. I was surprised when a male member of staff told me that using guest towels to mop puddles from the floor was normal procedure. I clarified that I was referring specifically to seeing a guest towel being used on the communal toilet floor, but was again told that this was normal.

Loved the fact that you can swim right across from the front door in the Loch. The restaurant quality was outstanding. Really recommend.

Pool steam room and jacuzzi very nice

My kids wanted to try jacuzzi and I feel like if monitored a 7 and 9 year old can go in for a short period of time and we’re not allowed. Room was very hot for a warm summer night and duvets too heavy - had to open window and use fan Some waiter staff not that friendly. Most were great!

Beautiful building with decor that was in keeping with the buildings age, the room was spacious and clean and had a beautiful view out onto the loch. Victoria who works in the hotel was truly lovely and very helpful.

Whilst I think the hotel is stunning, for such an expensive stay, we felt at least breakfast should have been included.

The drinks prices in the hotel were not in line with the website prices, which I informed the reception about and in turn they quickly put it right by charging us the website prices . Also dont agree with service charges on drinks and again the hotel was prompt at reviewing the bill accordingly.

Bedrooms a little tired but staff and food were excellent. The spa was outstanding.

Restaurant- so much on menu unavailable including wines and attitude to this was very flippant - Meant a to be a celebration meal but turned into a sense of feeling lucky to be offered food and drink Many items were not available on menu New potatoes or mash offered with mussels as chip machine broke??? This did not feel like a high end meal. Wine by the glass we wanted not available to have and the only alternative we were told was by the bottle which we didn’t want a whole bottle. No feeling of being looked after at all.

Staff were brilliant , relaxed atmosphere, spa good and restaurant was brilliant .

The iron tripped the electrics in our room but staff sorted it quickly.

Everything, staff and facility were wonderful, particularly if you like old manors converted to hotel. Only issue was two flights of stairs to our room, but I needed the workout. 😁

No lift, but no big deal. Value for money, but I’m frugal… ok, cheap. I blame my Scottish blood.

Great location and facilities, is a lovely hotel!

Booked for a birthday and advised by hotel prior that the room would have a lovely welcome item, sadly this was forgotten about and nothing was there. Breakfast was lovely but some the cooked items were massively overcooked and could not be eaten as was literally solid. I wish more attention was paid to the details and it’s a real shame letting people down when messages are sent and organised for special occasions.

Staff were excellent. Mano was exceptional. Hotel may e wee bit tired in areas however overall was a lovely stay.
