What a beautiful place. the hotel was so cool. We were upgraded to a suite. The room was beyond…. The staff was so nice. We had dinner and breakfast there. The food was so delicious. I’m so glad we stopped there. Highly recommend.

Lovey visit to the George Hotel. All but one member of staff were polite, attentive , professional and very hard working. The food was delicious. Dinner menu varied and presented beautifully. Breakfast was amazing with a huge range to suit everyone and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. We had our Labrador with us on this occasion. Belle was made to feel welcome and little jars of treats were dotted all over the hotel and she soon remembered where they all were! Our room (6) was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean with a fresh . We had a huge whirl bath and a great power shower. Quiet room and a huge comfortable , clean bed. Not the best view in the hotel but you could see the loch and to be honest did not matter to us as the room was so luxurious. Barman in Public bar an absolute gem.

One very uninterested and rude young server let the side down. We asked a few questions about the menu/ ingredients and most unhelpful. Kept looking at her watch which made us feel a little uncomfortable. Never offered the sweet menus we had to ask in the end decided not to have anything. Such a pity one person can ruin the most amazing team. However we , as a party, are all highly qualified in hospitality and can recognise and ignore one bad apple.

I came with a friend and we were both upgraded, which was amazing. The rooms were very comfortable, and I absolutely loved and appreciated the welcome pack in the room. The food in the restaurant was excellent, both for dinner and breakfast. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient

Heel warm onthaal. De pub en het hotel stralen een authentieke historische sfeer uit. We hadden een lekker diner in het bijhorende pub restaurant. Het ontbijt was ook super, er was ruime keuze uit meer traditionele en moderne gerechten (toast avocado, sashuka ...)

Geen minpunt voor ons maar wij hadden twee kamers bij elkaar omdat we met tienerkinderen reizen en die waren in een charmant bijgebouw met een draaitrap. Voor ons geen enkel probleem maar mss wel voor mensen die minder mobiel zijn.

From the time we went in we were made to feel very welcome. The room was stunning and exceeded my expectations. The meal we had in the restaurant was delicious, my husbands steak was the best he'd ever had and we don't know how they cook the chips but they were amazing. All the staff were genuinely friendly.

Lovely old Georgian Inn overlooking Loch Fynne. My room was enormous, a super comfy bed. The restaurant serves amazing freshly caught fish and seafood. Highly recommended.

Couldn't open the windows in the room so it was a bit stuffy

This hotel is an institution and recently bought by two local families to ensure its future. Old charm and atmosphere abounds. Great restaurant serving pub food at its best. Spacious well serviced immaculate rooms. Live music on weekends. Great whisky bar. Just love it. 👌

Sadly we are talking London bar prices of £7 a pint.This was a talking point with locals I spoke too. And with Fyne Ales Brewery just a few miles away, I think think these are high. Especially as I drank the same beer in Glasgow the night before at £5.40 a pint.

Un excellent séjour dans ce superbe village ! L’emplacement est idéal, et nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’accueil ainsi que le personnel, professionnel, souriant et très agréable. Nous avons adoré notre suite avec sa baignoire jacuzzi .Mention spéciale également pour le restaurant et petit déjeuner , vraiment extraordinaire : une très belle décoration, des produits frais et une cuisine de qualité. Un très bon rapport qualité-prix. Nous recommandons vivement ! 👍🏻

A wonderful place to stay in this gorgeous historic building, beautifully presented, comfortable, clean and spacious room. We will stay here again on our visits to Inverary.

Absolutely fantastic place that exceeded all our expectations! The George Hotel is full of character and authentic Scottish charm, with a wonderfully cosy atmosphere and beautiful historic details. Our room was exceptional – comfortable, unique and much more special than we expected. The whole hotel has a warm, welcoming feeling that makes you want to stay longer. The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast, and the whisky selection is incredible. Most importantly, the staff were genuinely friendly, attentive and welcoming.

Loved the restaurant and outdoor patio, people were very nice.

Ya habíamos estado anteriormente en Inveraray, y en este hotel, nos parece un sitio idílico. La atención del personal es exquisita, las habitaciones muy cómodas, limpias y bien equipadas, el desayuno es a la carta, y el restaurante tiene una cocina de gran calidad.

El hotel supera cualquier expectativa, no hay peros.

Absolutely lovely hotel, staff very friendly & welcoming. Room was brilliant. Dinner & breakfast food were lovely as were the staff. Also, owner was always around checking everything was okay, with staff & guests.

Couldn't have asked for more immaculate hotel , room was stunning. Food was incredible, something for all tastes, main bar was incredible. Staff very helpful and friendly, brilliant night at the live band also on the Saturday night. I would highly recommend 5* plus.

Beautifully kept and maintained

We went to the George hotel for our ruby anniversary and from the minute we arrived we were made to feel special. They had upgraded our room and all the staff kept congratulating us so they had obviously been told about us. The food in the restaurant was absolutely top notch and the service was amazing the staff were very attentive. We will definitely be returning for another visit not in the too distant future.10/10

Breakfast was excellent, a good variety to choose from. Staff are friendly, helpful, full of smiles. Dinner: a huge variety to choose from, price is affordable, Lamb Shank was delishes. The facilities was outstanding, the hotel is well look after. The bedroom and bathroom was spacious. Inveraray is a quaint quiet village, I would recommend the George Hotel 100 times over. Good value for money

The quaintness of it and the bedrooms are lovely having stayed many times this time we had the library room and it did not disappoint. Also love the variety of areas to have a drink, the restaurant and food was amazing a really old style traditional hotel that has kept its rustic charm

The George Hotel is a fantastic place to stay, the room was amazing filled with period touches, the bed was sooo comfortable, the “Pub” had a great atmosphere, the Terrace was a great space to enjoy a couple of drinks and the dining in the Cocktail Bar and Conservatory was outstanding, but what really sets The George apart are the staff…..we can’t praise all the staff enough, they were all so friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back for a return visit and we’ll be bringing friends to share the experience.

Last minute stay after a weekend of camping. The room was lovely and staff really friendly and also responsive when we requested a fan and help with the WiFi. Food was delicious - dinner and breakfast. Looking forward to coming back.

Excellent room with lovely facilities. We were warned that they had live music on and it might disturb us, we were asleep by 10pm and the music did not trouble us at all.

The hotel was brilliant, perfect stay in the lovely town of Inverary. We had an amazing stay thanks to Alex and her team who were so kind when we turned up to check in at 9.15pm, with our two young children. We hadn’t eaten and they went out of their way to check what the kitchen could make for us. They were so welcoming and accomodating to us.

Hotel is spacious with lots of outdoor space as well as indoor space which was unexpected and welcomed. They're dog friendly - they don't just tolerate dogs which was appreciated. Staff are lovely - pleasant and helpful.

Only niggle we had was the people before us had smoked in the room which wasn't picked up before we arrived. The windows of the room weren't easy to open to clear it - we eventually managed to do this and staff provided an air freshener. Within a few hours it was fine. Big room, comfy bed - nice bathroom and welcome bits and bobs :)

Ήταν ένα όμορφο κτήριο εποχής, προσεγμένο. Πρέπει να είχε καλό εστιατόριο παρότι δεν προλάβαμε να φάμε. Ήταν πολύ κοντά στο κάστρο του Inveraray.

Το κυριότερο ότι το πάτωμα σε διάφορα σημεία πρέπει να ήταν χαλασμένο διότι υπήρχαν λακούβες καλυμμένες από τις μοκέτες, όμως παρόλα αυτά αυτό δεν χάλασε την γενική μας εντύπωση.

Room massive, lovely and clean. Bed the comfiest i've ever slept in. Jacuzzi bath in corner complete with candles. Well stocked tea/coffee tray with coffee machine. Wicker basket full of snacks was a thoughtful touch. Hot breakfast made to order and delicous, locally sourced ingredients and the most amazing fresh bread. Staff from welcome at reception and right through our stay were friendly and professional and couldn't have done enough for us.

Pricey stay overall and bar/restaurant prices high also. Disposable plastic cups and food served in takeaway boxes in garden bar. Last time we visited the food truck was also open and is closed now. Live music outside in the afternoon would have been perfect.

Store rom og fantastisk frokost. Har bodd på ulike hotel i Skottland. Frokosten på dette hotellet knuser alle de andre, også mye dyrere hotell. Veldig koselig restaurant i første etasje med flott og variert meny.

La circulation au bord de l' hôtel est les camions qui roulent à vive allure la nuit et début du matin que l' on entend.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Zimmer sehr sauber. Haben noch nie so ein gutes Frühstück in Schottland bekommen, spitze!!
