Hyatt Place Florence Downtown

The hotel never reapond me back as I booked wrong hotel, instead of booking Florence in Italy I booked in US but being a such a good brand name hotel they didnt even reply back for any kind of refund or not even giving back refund.

I like Hyatt Place breakfasts. They're always a bit better than other moderately priced chain hotels. Keep up the good work. I LOVE the location. It makes me want to come back and spend more time in your little downtown of Florence SC.

The staff was outstanding from the front desk, cafeteria ,Starbucks to housecleaning,they were all a different class.

Very charming in the location downtown Florence,SC the pool wasn’t available due to chlorine treatment was the only disappointment. The staff went out of their way to make our stay great!

We've stayed here before on our trip from Philadelphia to Florida. Breakfast is quite good and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Limited menu. They were out of almost everything on the menu except for pizza and salad. No hamburgers or wings.

The location was good. The staff was nice and friendly. It is definitely a pet friendly hotel, there was cute dogs everywhere. I didnt notice when booking. However, the dogs was fine as it was still quiet during quiet hours.

The bed was uncomfortable. The bartender was nice but they had very limited menu as they were out of most items on the menu.

Hyatt Place had a great breakfast, friendly staff, and free parking! Our room was clean and well stocked with towels. No complaints!

The hotel was clean and staff was excellent and friendly. I was able to check out at 2pm as requested. I had a great stay at this hotel. The property was very clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout my visit. They honored my request for a late checkout at 2:00 PM, which I really appreciated. I also requested a microwave for my room, and it was delivered almost immediately. The excellent customer service made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

It was clean, well lit, and I didn’t have to look for parking because they have parking available.

Unfortunately, this property is close to a railroad and the constant trains passing by at night kept us up at night. Not the hotel’s fault per se, just a terrible location.

Great stay at Hyatt in Florence. I stay here every few months while visiting family and have for years. While the hotel rooms could use some revamping, overall everything is typically very clean and comfortable. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Check is a breeze and I love they have breakfast in the mornings. Super helpful when traveling with my young daughter.

Florence was ok..

I didn’t eat breakfast but appreciated the Starbucks coffee. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I liked the brand of shower toiletries. The location is great. Parking was easy, as was check in. The bed was super comfortable.

I arrived and was disappointed to learn that the hotel had overbooked. Paige at the desk worked to get my family a new hotel but I would have appreciated that someone reached out to me to let me know ahead of time and not upon arrival. I was booked at a comfort inn about 10 mins away. The comfort inn was fine but not the level of the Hyatt for which o was expecting.

I liked the property because it was very clean and well-organized, with friendly staff present at all times. Unlike other places where staff may be hard to find at night, they were always accessible here.

The part I didn’t like about the property is that to access the hotel parking, you first have to check in to get your room keys to open the gate. Usually, you can just park and then carry all your suitcases inside without going out again, but in this case, you do have to go to the front desk to get the room key. However, they do have a lot of parking.

Delicious breakfast with lots of options for everyone. Everything was fresh and presented beautifully! The bathroom in our room was very nice and clean- we liked the walk-in shower. The hotel is in a convenient location- we loved walking to the ice cream shop down the street. The outdoor pool and gym areas were also very nice.

The pull out sofa bed linens were still in place from the last guest and had hairs on them. We just requested new ones and remade the bed ourselves. The coffee in the lobby is available 24 hours a day but was unfortunately cold in the evening when we went down to get some after our long day of driving. The parking is down the street so be sure you don’t forget anything in your car like we did.

Had a two-night stay paid for by my company. I did not show up the first night due to the time of travel conflicting with my other obligations. I arrived early the next morning to check-in and the assistant manager told me that he would not have a room ready until 12pm. I said I had a room reserved for two days and I could not show up last night due to a conflicting travel time. He said that when I didn't check-in, they gave the room to another guest. However, when I received my bill, I was still charged for that night. So, the hotel double dipped and I did not have a room until after 12pm. I was disappointed to say the least. On top of that the hotel had some minor cosmetic issues within the room. The room was clean, but for the price tag and the appearance you get when pulling up and in the lobby area, you would not have expected the shortcomings in the room. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

Didn’t know what to expect, but we found a very modern and clean hotel in a great section of town near some great restaurants and shops. The hotel was very well maintained and clean, the layout was very nice. It looked to be a popular place with the locals too. Breakfast was really good in quality, variety, and service. If we’re in the area again, we’ll stay here

Parking: The property offers self paid parking for guest across street with security for $10. First come first serve parallel parking is available. Better to drop handicap off and then park vehicle. Dining & Service: Very tasty complimentary hot breakfast. On-site restaurant named The Placery. Snacks at lobby. Final note: Downtown Florance property is quiet relaxing with great concierge. However, the Hilton Tapestry Collection is much more alluring.

Great location. Staff was nice & friendly. Very clean upon walking in. I was greeted with a warm peanut butter cookie. Love it! Parking is FREE but gated across the street. Comfy beds spacious rooms & the breakfast is fire. Overall the best hotel i ever stayed in Florence.

Perfect location off 95 in adorable historic downtime Florence, walk to restaurants, Starbucks located in lobby and a dining-in menu, free breakfast and easy parking. The staff left much to be desired. We were given a key to a room that was already occupied and we terrified the poor woman staying there. Much confusion about where they could put us and not apologetic. Plenty of staff but no one could figure it out. Dining services are not in-room. Chicken Caesar salad was microwaved chicken laid atop the lettuce to make a wilted steamy mess. No veggie or pescatarian options.

Perfectly situated in the historic center of Florence, which is reviving after years of neglect. Breakfast was excellent and varied, staff were warm and helpful, the room was spotless and roomy, and the fitness centre and pool (for a property of this type) were first rate. Recommended if you have to stay one or two nights. Worth the short drive in from the highway.

This hotel in 2025 was immaculate, the cleanliness was top tier I returned in May of 2026 and the lack of cleanliness is concerning. I was on the 4th floor midday there was glass broken in the hallway, mugs, and plates in front of multiple doors that Mid-morning Saturday that stayed u til I checked out Sunday at noon.

My husband and I always enjoy staying at the Hyatt Place downtown Florence. We have stayed there several times. The hotel staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and always so clean. The breakfast is delicious. And it is so convenient to walk around downtown!

We like the location with the walkable downtown area. There was a great restaurant very nearby. The little sitting area in the room was a nice feature.

The breakfast area floor and tables needed a good scrub, although the breakfast itself was ok. The pillows were oddly small for a king size bed.

While downtown Florence has its challenges, being across the street from the great food and ambience of Town Hall and allowing pets and an excellent (by limited service hotel standards) breakfast combine to create a winning combination for travelers. This was our second stay and we will be back!

I stayed here during a family emergency and arrived around 3:30 AM after my mother experienced a serious medical complication. Given the circumstances, I appreciated that the staff were polite and the room was clean and comfortable. The issue came when I needed to extend my stay. I booked the extension through Priceline and returned to the desk to check in again. The next morning, I noticed my credit card had been charged directly by the hotel as well. When I asked about it, I was told Priceline had canceled my reservation. However, my reservation still showed as active on my end. I showed this to the staff, but was told there was nothing they could do. I contacted Priceline, and they also confirmed the reservation was still active. They had to coordinate with the hotel before issuing a refund, which took additional time. I eventually received confirmation that a refund would be processed, but the situation added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. Overall, the staff were courteous and the room was fine, but the billing and communication issue between the hotel and Priceline was frustrating. I would recommend double-checking reservations and charges when booking through third-party sites.

The room was as expected. The water pressure was low, and the couch had some areas that needed attention. Overall, the room was fine. The parking is across the street and a bit of a walk away. There is a nice little patio on the second floor, overlooking downtown. It was comfortable and had a partial sunset-view. The seating was comfy. The part of Florence this is in is decent, there are several options for dining right there next to the hotel. I did see several homeless people nearby, but they seemed to keep to themselves and didn't beg for money or make a mess (that I could see). Overall, I would probably stay here again. Is it your "typical" Hyatt experience? In some cases, yes. In others, no. However, for one night, it served its purpose and I would consider staying here again.

Stayed there passing through the area. Everything was as we expected. Clean, breakfast, great staff. I would definitely return for another stay if we were in the area.

The staff here is pleasant enough to your face, but they failed to follow through on every single request I made. I confirmed a late checkout twice, yet housekeeping still knocked on my door at 11:00 AM. I also requested a microwave and extra towels on separate occasions; both times I was promised assistance, but nothing was ever delivered. After waiting over an hour for towels that never came, it became clear that the front desk is not communicating with the service teams. Very disappointing experience

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was awesome! Wings were tasty. Only one staff member manning the bar/dining room & kitchen so service was lacking. Desk area in room lacks any type of task lighting. Train comes through a couple of times during the night; it will announce its arrival. Parking is off-site but fenced in.

Great design, very nice spaces. Only 3 stars because of two issues- they will BOMB you with spam emails, regardless of unsubscribe requests. Also, rooms don't have microwaves, and the common space microwave is insanely slow. Won't stay there again despite the snazzy design.

The rooms were spacious and the receptionist was very nice.

The door looked like it had been kicked in a couple times. The bathroom had hair in the shower and mucus with blood on the wall infront of the toilet. The refrigerator had a plate with leftover yogurt on it from god knows when so when you opened it the smell was awful. The couch was stained and non of the trash cans had trash bags. To say the least i slept on top of the blankets with my own blanket. Honestly not a terrible place to stay but house keeping obviously sucks and needs to learn to do there job properly. Thankfully we were just passing through and needed to stop for a couple hours of sleep before continuing our trip

Great location and the room itself was clean and comfortable, but the facility as a whole is showing quite a bit of wear and tear because of its popular location downtown. The walls and doors in the halls and elevator area are scuffed and dirty and in need of repair. I was expecting more from a Hyatt related property and for the somewhat premium price.

Bed is comfy

Shower had no pressure. The door flip guard on room door was jammed. When I mentioned to front desk you could tell it went no further. We ate breakfast at 8:30. No coffee, no silverware, most food items empty. Person working seemed overwhelmed and ready to quit.

Location was great and the staff was lovely though we did not need much. We were there for a one night stay on our way passing through. They are a very pet friendly hotel. The hotel is in town and safely walkable. The rooms are a nice size for all of us which allowed us to stay with our 2 large breed pups. The only negative I really can give for my type of stay was the the air handling equipment is a bit loud on my upper floor.

The property’s convenient location and the well-maintained fitness room were highlights of the stay.

The bed was not very comfortable, and the fitted sheet did not stay in place, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably throughout the night. Additionally, the reservation made through Booking.com did not fully reflect the details at check-in. Although my confirmation showed two rooms, the hotel’s system initially indicated only one room, which caused some confusion during the check-in process.

We stop each way to FL cute town, 5 miles off I95 Excellent and friendly service,dog friendly and amazing free full hot breakfast! See Kiana in the morning! Fun lobby bar and dining. Nice clean rooms. Several great restaurants walking distance.
