Hotel Kette

all was great.... normaly I do not make review on hotels.. as i do not have time... but this hotel deserve me to spend 5 min to write this.... it is a great hotel...

Nicely decorated in traditional Italian style, comfortable beds, clean rooms, decent breakfast selection and many friendly staff but some staff could have been friendlier, rooms could have better lighting and more power sockets. There was an incident outside in the middle of the night that does raise concerns as I could not reach any hotel staff for help or guidance. Emergency procedures need to be reviewed.

The hotel was exceptional but the bar was closed & as a result it lacked atmosphere.

òtima localização. Quarto bem espaçoso, camas boas e sempre limpo. Café da manhã bom também. Estávamos em família de 03 pessoas e a estadi foi ótima.

Loved the location once we found the hotel. We had a corner room overlooking a canal & bridge & it was gorgeous. Really loved the hotel & staff were very friendly & helpful. They have their own pier on a canal which was great for water taxi. Short walk to St Marks square.

Breakfast was basic.

Great location, friendly staff. Rooms were traditional Venetian style; comfortable and clean! The breakfast area was very orderly operated. A lovely start to our honeymoon.

Colazione sicuramente da migliorare. Poca scelta con prodotti non freschi La mancanza del bidet.

Posizione ottima a due passi da Piazza S.Marco ( dalla mia camera era visibile il campanile), dalla Biennale e dal Teatro La Fenice. Pulizia eccellente. Letto comodissimo e colazione buona, nulla di particolare ma sufficiente. Lo staff gentilissimo e attento. Consigliatissimo. Inoltre ho trovato la città di Venezia molto pulita, gli unici punti poco decorosi erano dovuti a turisti maleducati.

Unica nota negativa ( ma questo è un particolare comune a moltissimi hotel che ho frequentato e non ne ho mai capito il motivo) l'aria condizionata sparata direttamente sopra il letto (forse era solo nella mia stanza?). Quindi o la spegni oppure alzi la temperatura.....ma sarebbe bene l'aria non mi arrivasse direttamente addosso.

The hotel location was perfect and the room was fantastic with a lovely view. The breakfast was very good and very well laid out and great coffee. Plus they gave us a lovely take away breakfast for our early departure. We will be returning to stay here again.

We didn't stay long enough to find anything we didn't like.

We could arrive and leave via canal then walk out the back entrance to Piazza San Marco which was about a five min walk. GREAT air conditioning! And there was a tub! Nice staff

We loved Hotel Kette! It is a quaint boutique hotel in a perfect location to explore Venice! Can walk to all noted sights such as St Marks Square. Our room was so beautiful decorated in old Venice style with views of gondolas on the canal. Air conditioning was great and room very quiet. Breakfast was very good with great staff. Very reasonable price, would love to stay again.

Brilliant located to explore this amazing city, Hotel Kette offers the best of old fashioned values. From the warm welcome at reception to the spacious and clean room. Maybe no frills (but excellent WiFi) but for city centre at this price, we had absolutely no complaints .

I loved the historical building and the general atmosphere of grandeur and decorum.

The breakfast offerings for non-meat eaters felt a little lackluster.

Η τοποθεσία ήταν πάρα πολύ βολική, τόσο για να κινηθείς στην πόλη με τα πόδια όσο και να χρησιμοποιήσεις είτε ιδιωτικό ταξί είτε σκάφος/συγκοινωνία. Είναι κοντά σε στάση. Το πρωινό ήταν ικανοποιητικό. Το δωμάτιο μας είχε υπέροχη θέα σε κανάλι. Ήταν ήσυχη τοποθεσία με πολλά αξιοθέατα σε απόσταση 5 λεπτών με τα ποδια.

Το κρεβάτι θα μπορούσε να είναι καλύτερο. Επίσης το προγευμα το οποίο ξεκινούσε στις 07:30, θα μπορούσε να αρχίζει στις 07:00. Τους μήνες κυρίως του καλοκαιριού η περιδιάβαση και εξόρμηση στη Βενετία ξεκινά πρωί λόγω της ζέστης, επομένως θα ήταν βολικότερο το πρόγευμα να ξεκινουσε στις 07:00.

V raňajkách mi chýbalo väčšie zastúpenie salámov, párkov a šuniek, hoci z každého niečo bolo prítomné. Jedáleň bola útulná, personál pri raňajkách milý, ústretový a pohotový. Izba bola s historickom štýle. Kúpeľňa ako takmer vždy v Taliansku iba pre ľudí do 175 cm a 80 kg, čo v mojom prípade nadmerných rozmerov a vyššieho BMI spôsobilo určité ťažkosti. Hotel je len pár minút chôdze od Canal Grande.

Stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a bit basic, but clean and the staff are lovely. The breakfast was fine for the money. Everything is a bit outdated feeling but that fits perfectly with the Venice feel, and we have no complaints. The main reason for staying there is its location. It is right off the main shopping drag and we were steps away from all the designer shops. Whilst this did have the disadvantage of being close to the canals, with the awful smell that entails, it didn’t detract from our stay as it’s just what you expect in Venice, and of course it’s not the fault of the hotel; It was overall an amazing little trip and we would happily go back. Thanks you Hotel Kette, we hope to see you again! Venice Carnival is amazing, looking forward to Venice Carnival 2027!

1-A localização do Hotel é maravilhosa:5 minutos a pé da Piazza de San Marco.Via tranquila e até com 1 ponto de parada do taxi-boat atrás do Hotel. 2-O atendimento dos funcionarios foi muito acolhedor,competente,simpático e muito prestativos (me ajudaram a fazer o cadastro p/isenção da taxa do dia,se fôssemos cobrados por alguma fiscal;me imprimiram Documentos e nos deram boas sugestões de restaurantes nos arredores) e foram muito gentis. Menciono particularmente a funcionaria KELLY,da recepção,super gentil.

Custo bem alto das Diárias.

We enjoyed a lot the excelent location, safe, quiet but very close to biggest attractions.

We didn't liked that much the big price, but if we paid what to say more. We didn't liked that much the small dimensions of the room.

The breakfast was poor, only had bread (that seemed not fresh.) and few pastries. No eggs no great choice of drinks. The staff sometimes seemed to be in a rush to dispatch of us.

We stayed at the Kette two years ago and had a great experience. The room was beautiful and clean and the breakfasts were excellent. This visit we had three rooms for three nights. We were on the first floor and the rooms smelled horrible. The carpet was stained and there was mold in the wall. The smell was so bad we had to change room the next morning. The breakfasts were dismal. Few selections and very basic. Not what was presented on our first stay. The second day it was announced by the train company that a national train strike would occur on our last day that would have prevented a timely return to Zurich to catch a return flight. We had to cancel the last night. Given these events out of our control and the condition of our room the first night, we would have thought the hotel would given consideration to not charging us for the last nights canceled stay ($1,000). But we received no such consideration, and no credit was given, and we were charged the full amount. The staff was pleasant but the hotel facilities seemed run down, not the four star it advertised itself as being. On our first stay we loved this hotel. The second stay was very disappointing. We cannot recommend this hotel.

Skvělá poloha. Par min od náměstí sv Marka. Čista fajn ulice, za rohem 10m hned příjemná restaurace, moc milý personál. Poměr cena kvalita OK.

Velmi základní snídaně. Bez zeleniny. Každý den to stejne , stejne 2 druhy housky i stejna buchta. Ale to, co tam bylo- bylo chutne .. negativně hodnotím postele. Měli jsme 3luzak. Ale to jedno lůžko byl jakysi gaucik. Postele nejsou plnohodnotné- ale takove vojenské rozkládacky. Ale matrace slušné.

Hotel booked a crooked water taxi . Who overcharged us by 35 percent

Fantastic location - close to San Marco's Square, La Fenice Opera House and luxury shopping street. Our water taxi could come right up to hotel to take us anywhere. Staff were very helpful and friendly!

Breakfast buffet was decent but not exceptional. Limited egg offerings (hardboiled only) and no bacon/sausage.

Great location in Venice with their own dock for water taxi to dock so we didn’t have to haul suitcases down streets. Nice view from room to narrow canal below. Staff was very helpful, even escorting us to a nearby restaurant and another dock we needed to find. Not far from St. Mark’s Square but not in the thick of things there, Room was comfortable.

Warm welcome on arrival, disappointed by room it was dark and curtains closed due to it looking out on service area. Which was very noisy in the storms, rain on metal! Bathroom was nice but small, shower was good. Breakfast staff were excellent & attentive, food was nice, bar was closed for some reason that was not communicated to us, reception staff helpful and friendly, arranged water taxi to station for us! We assume the young man at checkout was training so we had a lot of grace for him! But older staff also need to communicate that to customers.

Location was great for getting around Venice, close proximity to restaurants & water taxis. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Bar in hotel was never opened. No hot breakfast. Breakfast could be better.

A beautiful old hotel in a great location, a short walk to the square. The rooms are tiny but very cute and the bathrooms were a good size. We had 2 rooms, one was a corner room and had a view up a small street which was nice. The staff were lovely and helpful and the breakfast was really good with great service. I can’t comment on the price as it was booked for us as part of a package tour.

Het hotel ligt goed centraal, het ontbijt was zeer goed (genoeg keuze) en geen geluidsoverlast ‘‘s nachts (dus heerlijk geslapen). Er gleden ook gondels onder mijn raam langs.

Ik had geen stopcontact naast mijn bed waar ik mijn telefoon kon opladen.
