Hotel Al Codega is in an excellent location. Our room was nice and spacious and bed very comfortable. Staff at reception were welcoming and staff in breakfast room were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

The rooms are really great, with great amenities. The location of this hotel is very ideal. The breakfast was too good , one with the most varieties I have ever had.

The room was beautiful and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. I expected to have difficulty finding the hotel since Venice can be hard to navigate, but we had no problem finding it. Our GPS worked perfectly, and the directions sent from the hotel were exactly what we needed to know regarding which ferry line to take. It was just a very short walk (about 8 minutes) from the Rialto stop. The streets were not difficult at all to roll our luggage. All in all, this hotel was a wonderful discovery and we hope to return one day.

Almost everything. Excellent location near San Marco. Clean, quiet, friendly and assisting staff. Good breakfast, relatively to the only sweet classic Italian one. The room isn't too large but quite comfortable. Lots of light in the room. Good air-conditioning.

More sockets near the bed could be useful. So would be new mattresses

The location is fantastic - right between Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's square! The hotel staff was excellent. The room was clean, the shower was great, and the breakfast was delicious with a lot of options. It was a little tricky to get the A/C to cool the room, but once we figured it out it was fine.

The bathroom had very little counter space. Unfortunately we had a room with windows that looked directly at a cement wall - literally no view of anything at all - just a wall 3 inches from our window. However, for the short time that we spent there it wasn't a big deal.

Breakfast was excellent, everything you could want was available. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The location was great about a 3 minute walk to San Marco square and about a 5 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. The hotel was set in a very quiet square (which was a little hard to find) but you wouldn’t believe you were so close to the main attractions.

There were no plug sockets near the bed and the tv was set behind a mirror. Neither of these things would stop me returning though!!

The staff was pretty nice and kind. The location is fairly good, just need to find the exact entrance, which is one street down from the map, the good thing is that you only need to cross one bridge coming from Rialto. More variety than I expected for breakfast. Comfortable room and quite big.

The stuff, you really feels at home, one of the best hotels I have ever been in. We were there on my girlfriend birthday and they gave her a cake even though I never tell them about the birthday The location is great, close to everything. If I could score this place 11 instead of 10 I would.

The hotel is very close to Rialto, just a few minutes walking without any stairs and bridges. It is really important, especially if you travel with a lot of luggage. The room was spacious and breakfast was so varied. I’d definitely stay here again.

On the first day I was almost charged when I asked for extra towel for our baby, but the day after they said that it was misunderstanding. The are neither a small kettle nor slippers in the room unless you ask for it. It’s free of charge. Rooms aren’t cleaned good enough because there was dust and the carpet wasn’t vacuumed properly.

Perfect location. A lot of famous places very close to the hotel. Stuff always can answer to your questions and help you. Breakfast was tasty.

The hotel's location is excellent—not far from Piazza San Marco. It is easy to find from the Rialto water bus stop. There are shops and restaurants on every nearby street. The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast includes: 5 types of fresh juice, 3 types of cereal, nuts, fruit, bacon (American-style—very dry and crispy), unseasoned scrambled eggs, fried eggs, boiled eggs, various freshly baked pastries, casseroles, sandwiches, cheeses, fresh vegetables, yogurts, various types of cold cuts... Room have minibar.

If you are traveling from England, I recommend bringing an extension cord and an adapter, as there are no power outlets next to the bed. The TV is quite unusual—it is located behind a mirror, and there are only 3 English-language news channels compared to at least 60+ channels in Italian. If you need to dry your hair, I suggest bringing a hair dryer and an extension cord.

Breakfast was superb. Beds very comfortable with deep mattresses. Lovely white sheets. Staff nice. Lovely and clean. Air conditioning good so didnt need windows open! (Didnt want them open in case mosquitos came in!) They had plug in room too as a deterrent so none came in room! Perfect

Would have liked some information in the file in the room about the hotel, such as breakfast times as I forgot. Just a small thing though.

The location was tucked away in a quiet courtyard, yet still positioned in the center of tourist attractions and shopping, with convenient access to restaurants. The hotel rooms were comfortable and clean — this place looks even better than the listing photos suggest!

Il cortile in cui è inserito l'albergo rende il soggiorno riservato: abbiamo potuto tenere le finestre aperte senza gli occhi dei passanti addosso

Beautiful, charming hotel in a great location. Our junior suite was incredibly large, elegantly decorated and perfect for a romantic getaway. The breakfast was really good, although the breakfast space is quite small and did see people having to wait for a table. The staff here as well was very helpful and really took their time showing us where to go on the maps (yes, real physical maps).

Ideal location in a quiet courtyard, only minutes away from the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square. Friendly staff, superlative breakfast, well kept, clean room with perfect AC, unfortunately our room offered little to no view as it was only meters away from the neighbouring building which had a scaffolding in front of it. But then, you don’t spend days in Venice in your hotel room! Take and use the excellent area map available at the front desk, as G…le maps struggles to log in to a proper signal in all the narrow alleyways in the neighbourhood.

The staff was quite helpful arranging a water taxi from the airport and then meeting us at the dock for the water taxi. They also gave us a good recommendation for restaurant and ordered a taxi for us the next morning.

We just got back from Venice and stayed at this beautiful hotel steps away from everything you want to see in Venice. Everything was wonderful. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to have coffee available before 7:30 am. We checked out around 7:20 for an early flight home and had to wait to get coffee at the airport!

The room we had (402) was quite dark, and due to the summer heat, it was necessary to keep the shutters closed during the day. The TV was hidden behind a mirror, leading to a poor picture and distorted sound.

Nothing really, we enjoyed our stays only little issue was the DND Sign kept turning off, we weren’t distrusted but we were hoping to opt out of housekeeping. Little misunderstanding during breakfast where we put put drinks at the table and on our return the waiter sat someone else there.

nichts, ich hatte bei Booking ein Umbuchungsrecht. Ich habe bei Booking schon über Jahre sehr viel gebucht. So etwas ist mir noch nie passiert! Das Hotel hat das Umbuchungsrecht 2 x direkt abgelehnt. Auch der Kundenservice von Booking hat zusätzlich die Umbuchung 2 x versucht zu veranlassen. Das Hotelmanagement ist gnadenlos. Ich empfehle eindringlich, diese Adresse zu meiden.

O café da manhã é realmente excelente, com uma grande variedade e muita qualidade. Toda a equipe foi extremamente atenciosa e prestativa durante a nossa estadia. Também gostei muito da limpeza e organização do hotel, além da localização, que é excelente e facilitou bastante nossos deslocamentos e passeios.

O único ponto que poderia ser melhor é em relação ao quarto nº 33, onde ficamos hospedados. Já sabíamos que seria no último andar, o que não foi um problema. No entanto, há uma janela no teto (claraboia) que permite a entrada de bastante luz logo ao amanhecer, fazendo com que acordássemos mais cedo todos os dias. Acredito que seja algo relativamente simples de resolver, talvez com uma vedação melhor ou uma cortina blackout. Tirando esse detalhe, nossa experiência foi excelente e voltaríamos a nos hospedar no hotel com toda certeza. 😊

Not that it would prevent us from returning but it was odd that the elevator stopped on the 2nd floor every time, even if we were going to the 3rd floor or ground floor. Im guessing it is for security because the reception desk is on the 2nd floor but still odd. Also, the hotel is in a cute court yard but no outdoor space for the hotel. I would be so cute to have some tables and drinks available for outside… but maybe the neighbors wouldn’t like that?

The hotel did provide a great breakfast with traditional Italian or American offerings. Staff was very accommodating and rooms was very clean. Location to all of Venice was nice as it is between St. Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge but it is also tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist crowds which is nice. Room was great at keeping noise out from busy tourist walkways that were adjacent to it.

Room was great and bathroom was nice, but we had the handicap shower room and always seemed to get water outside the curtain into the rest of the bathroom. Other family members had traditional room and did not have that issue with their bathroom. This is not a huge dislike, but had to clean up a little after taking a shower. We just had to ask for additional towels.

The location is ideal, is very quiet, breakfast was delicious, hotel staff really friendly.

Apreciem în mod special locația hotelului, micul dejun care fără exagerare a fost unul din cele mai bune și rafinate din zecile de hoteluri la care am fost găzduiți în lume. Profesionalismul și disponibilitatea personalului și tot ce a avut de oferit Al Codega ne-a mulțumit. Singura nemulțumire și durere constă în surpriza neplăcută de a afla în bagaj telecomanda televizorului. îmi cer scuze și sunt surprins întrucât nu m-am uitat la televizor în splendoarea Veneției. Îmi cer scuze pentru incidentul care umbrește revelația superbă a Al Codega față de percepția noastră.

Incidentul cu telecomanda descoperit acasă la București înrest totul ne-a satisfăcut cerințele noastre.

Had a wonderful stay of 5 nights in room 408 at the Boutique hotel, Hotel al Codega, in the heart of Venice, a stones throw from St Marks Square, and also the Rialto bridge. The hotel thoroughly deserves its high ratings. My room was a superior room with a bath. No view to speak of, that was the only negative I’d say. It was across roof tops but very quiet. The aircon worked well, they have a lift and staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was good. The bed had Frette quality linens and I noticed the bed was extra long. I’m 5’7” and can tell that the length was generous. There is only one power point next to the desk so I suggest bringing an adapter with several usb ports. Also I found my 3m usb cable came in handy to stretch to the bedside for iPhone usage. I requested a kettle which was placed in the room on arrival. I appreciated the early check in as I arrived at around 12.30pm and made up for the lack of view! The breakfast offering at this hotel is next level!! The breakfast is the star of the show at this hotel. Of all my years of travel this must have been the best breakfast buffet I’ve ever come across. There is definitely a foodie in the midst of the hotel management, and in the kitchen driving this offering. The baking, bruschetta and egg dishes are just out of this world and everything is freshly baked. The assortment is rotated daily so you are not eating the same stuff every day. I would return to this hotel for many reasons, not least of all the breakfast buffet. Venice is an expensive town and the breakfast here set me up so I didn’t need to eat until the evening. There is a Coop grocery store nearby. So you can stock up on drinks etc. The hotel is incredibly handy to the Rialto Vaperetto stop, literally less than 5 minutes walk and also about a 5 minute walk to St marks square. I took the alilaguna airport ferry direct from the airport for 18 euros. People have posted YouTube videos on how to get to the hotel from the Rialto stop. I suggest you watch that a couple of times. To summarise I loved this place. I recommend booking early as it gets booked out. I think I’d come here every time I’m in Venice.
