Beautiful hotel in the center of Lausanne. We had a corner room with the most amazing view. It was a true pleasure staying here. Breakfast is wonderful as well, with an ample buffet selection and a la carte dishes. Staff was very professional and friendly. I would definitely be staying here again. Location is very central, with many restaurants and the old town just a few steps away

We began our first stay in Switzerland at the Lausanne Palace. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. Only possible negative was street noise as we were on a lower floor. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We ate at the Brasserie twice and were delighted with the food both times.

Le comfort de la chambre, le SPA et les infrastructures de l'hôtel en général.

Il y avait un tout petit peu de moisissures au coin du bac de douche, un peu décevant pour un hôtel 5 étoiles. Le mobilier de la chambre (deluxe vue lac) pourrait aussi être rafraîchit.

A princess experience. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and client oriented. The attention to detail was unexpected; took my bag off me as soon as I arrived and found it in the room before I entered. The breakfast terrace is gorgeous and the breakfast staff amongst my favorite of my stay. The small touches for the kiddies was beautiful; little kid sized slippers and robe waiting in the room, a huge trolley of jars of candy from them to pick from in the entrance. Overall, excellent and I can’t wait to go back.

Mini bar is compliment. Gym is fully equipped. Sauna is newly renovated. Housekeeping is good too.

The food and drinks were a bit slow at both restaurants.

Camera spaziosa con grande bagno, letto comodo e tapparelle che oscurano perfettamente. Silenzioso. Colazione molto ben allestita, ordinata e con un’ampia scelta di frutta, cereali, pane oltre alle solite altre cose (salato, marmellate, ..).

Il ristorante Brasserie. Siamo abituati al cibo italiano che è il migliore in assoluto i francesi cospargono tutto di olio, condimenti e salse pesanti anche dove non serve.

Overall I have to say I am happy with my stay at the Lausanne Palace and would gladly return. Here are a few objective findings that stood with me, both positive and negative: POSITIVE: -Staff was extremely alert, and extremely warm and friendly, greeting me by name, asking about my stay, offering their assistance. By far much nicer and more professional and welcoming than many other LHW properties. In this aspect a 10 out of 10. -Spa facility was also good. -The hotel gym was EXCELLENT! I have never seen a luxury hotel with such a full and well equipped gym. The equipment and free weights were like my private gym I go to. The gym was fully air conditioned, and had a large space. It made my 3 hotel workouts a great pleasure. Here I give Lausanne Palace an 11 out of 10. Far exceeded my expectations. NEGATIVE: -I booked a junior city suite which did not have a lake view. I was staying for my 40th birthday and mentioned if possible if I could get a lake view upgrade. There was no mention of this at checkin and I got the room I booked. This is not an obligation of the Lausanne Palace, and technically I could have used my category upgrade from LHW which I did not and that was my mistake. It would have been nice if they did this since it was a special occasion and I asked. Other LHW hotels have given me nice upgrades without asking when I mentioned staying for a special occasion. But at the least the hotel could have mentioned the other categories are full and we cannot do this. -There was construction near by which made sounds that entered my room and the breakfast area that was very unpleasant. This is also not the hotels fault and out of their control as the construction is by the city; but this was not pleasant to deal with. -I wanted to make reservations for each night at one of the 3 restaurants: La Brasserie, Le Matcha Picchu and La Table; and have drinks at the 2 bars: La Bar 1915 and Le LP`s Bar. However, when I stayed at Lausanne Palace, both Le Matcha Picchu and La Table were closed for summer break/creative pause as well as Le LP`s Bar. When I go to an LHW property, part of the appeal and experience is to try the different restaurants and bars they have. However, when your hotel has 3 restaurants and 2 bars and 3 out of 5 are closed at the same time that really is not good. I understand the restaurants need breaks and creative pauses, but surely they could stagger them so at any given time at least 2 of the 3 restaurants are open while 1 is closed

Loved it. Staff exceptionally efficient, bed very comfortable, bathroom lovely. Breakfast on terrace delightful. Having effective air conditioning throughout during exceptionally warm weather was also great.

Beautiful hotel, stunning view, excellent air conditioning, and very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was wonderful, and the breakfast staff were absolutely amazing. One of the best hotels I have stayed in!

The pillows became flat during the night and were not very supportive, which made them uncomfortable for my neck.

Hôtel super bien situé, staff aimable et efficace, chambre spacieuse et propre, déco un peu sombre, lit extrêmement confortable.. bref rien à dire si ce n’est que dans le mini bar un petit snack serait le bienvenu vu que les boissons sont offertes.

Their level of customer service was truly world-class and set the tone for an extraordinary stay. Our room was absolutely beautiful, with luxurious furnishings, impeccable cleanliness, and every amenity one could ask for. The private balcony overlooking the city was breathtaking and became one of our favorite places to relax while taking in the spectacular views of Lausanne and Lake Geneva. It was the perfect setting to celebrate such meaningful milestones. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and among the best we have experienced. The selection was extensive, featuring exceptional local Swiss specialties alongside a wide variety of fresh breads, cheeses, pastries, fruits, hot dishes, and made-to-order options. Every item was of the highest quality. The breakfast staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to ensure every guest had a wonderful dining experience, making each morning a pleasure. The hotel’s location is another major highlight. It is perfectly situated within easy walking distance of Lausanne’s attractions, shopping, restaurants, and public transportation, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city while returning to the comfort and elegance of the hotel. Lausanne Palace delivers everything you could hope for in a luxury hotel: elegant accommodations, outstanding amenities, exceptional dining, and, most importantly, an extraordinary team that truly cares about its guests. The professionalism, attention to detail, and heartfelt hospitality we experienced made this stay unforgettable.

Well located near the metro and in a quieter part of town, yet with expansive lake views. Beds were extremely comfortable—with all the heavenly pillows I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Room darkening blinds and shades were excellent. Very cool in the room thanks to A/C in the middle of a heatwave. The breakfast was a wonderful experience, huge selection and high quality with wonderful service from Lucia. Check in from Emma was great—she was warm and authentic, a huge asset to the hotel. Wilson on the bell desk was professional, helpful, and ultra competent. The only thing that lets it down is the brasserie restaurant. Staff were wonderful but food was extremely average, if that. Steaks were a complete letdown, tartare was sparse and not seasoned enough. Eat elsewhere, but enjoy the incredible hotel.

We’ve been to Lausanne many times and stayed in hotels at various price points over the years, but the Lausanne Palace is our favorite. At this point, we would not stay anywhere else. The Lausanne Palace is wonderfully situated in heart of Lausanne near shopping, restaurants, the Old Town, sites, etc. but if you get a room with a balcony (highly recommended), you can still enjoy the wonderful lake/mountain views that Lausanne is known for. We’ve stayed in Ouchy and while it’s lovely to stroll along the lake, it’s quite touristy and you need to take the metro to get to the train station or shopping district. We prefer to be closer to the action where we can easily walk everywhere. Our room was huge (we were upgraded without asking), had an expansive balcony, double sinks in the bathroom, and two showers – a stall shower and a shower/tub combo. Most important, it was the only hotel of the 5 hotels we stayed in on this trip that had “American level” air conditioning! What a delight during the latest heat wave. We found the staff to be welcoming and professional. The hotel has an old-world elegance feel without being snooty. If you have a car, valet parking is available at 40 CHF/day and couldn’t be more convenient. The spa facilities were immaculate and the sauna and steam room were nice and hot – as they should be. We enjoyed breakfast each day on the lovely landscaped terrace with a view of the mountains. The buffet breakfast was well stocked with a large enough selection of options (including GF bread) so you certainly won’t go hungry. Our only suggestion regarding breakfast: while we appreciated having coffee served by the wait staff, we would have liked to have had a self-serve station as well so we could quickly grab a refill. Overall, the Lausanne Palace makes for a comfortable, convenient stay and it is our #1 choice when we visit Lausanne.

Our stay at Lausanne Palace was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Every detail was thoughtful, and the warmth of the entire team made us feel truly at home. Our room was beautiful, with beautiful views and a lovely terrace that quickly became our favorite spot to unwind and take in the beauty of Lausanne. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. The quality and variety were outstanding, but what made it truly special was the incredible team. Every morning, we were greeted with genuine smiles, kindness, and great service. My stay was excellent, and Itruly appreciated the hotel's high standards of service and hospitality. The only area that could be improved was the availability of appointments at the spa and hair salon. Unfortunately, both were fully booked during my stay, making it impossible to use these facilities. It may be worth considering additional staff or expanded appointment availability during peak occupancy periods to better accommodate guests. Aside from this minor issue, everything was outstanding.

The Palace hotel is remarkably familiar even having never been. It's like a film set from the shining and offers a huge array of wonderful features. The staff were happy, helpful and equally interested in you and they couldn't have been more helpful. Their uniform was spotless and their attention to detail faultless. The very good rating seems unfair to a point but I thought Lausanne had two faces. The lake and surrounding area was amazing, the views were truly wonderful. The town however had drunks, lots of litter and a few feral teenagers causing trouble which really let the place down. I wouldn't be going back in a hurry.

Fabulous hotel, clean, well serviced and friendly and helpful staff

A slight shortcoming was that the air conditioning wasn’t working properly and we stayed in the summer.

The staff are very professional and very friendly, especially breakfast staff who are really excellent

Construction noise during the week, there is a big construction project very close to the hotel. Not the hotel’s fault of course. I think the project finishes soon, and peace will be restored!

We relaxed and enjoyed extremely our stay in Lausanne palace . The spa was great , the view magnificent and the service beyond expectations . Totally worth it !

From the moment you arrive at the Palace you get a sense of how great your stay will be. The reception desk is welcoming service oriented and professional. In fact the entire staff and personnel at the hotel is remarkably friendly and helpful in any way they can. This hotel is a perfect combination of luxury and ultimate comfort : the rooms. The beds. The linens and pillows; the bathroom and amenities. As for the available services. The spa and pool area are wonderful inviting and extremely clean. The bars and restaurants offer a variety of offerings. Breakfast is plentiful and in an idyllic setting And the location of the hotel is perfect. Close to the metro, right near most tourist hotels spots and a stones throw away from shopping and nightlife. You will never be disappointed staying here.
