The breakfast was fantastic, very attentive staff that made the stay feel extra special. The location is second to none. Extra things done to make the stay even more special - fresh orange juice upon arrival, messages via booking.com to ask if we need any airport transportation arranging etc.

L'hôtel est vraiment extrêmement bien placé. A 10 minutes à pied du centre ville, du port, des boutiques. Pour profiter des restaurants et se balader c'est un vrai plus. La zone parait bruyante car en plein centre mais pas du tout, l'hôtel est très bien insonorisé, parfaitement isolé et offre une vraie bulle en plein centre ville. Le personnel est d'une gentillesse incroyable. Il y a longtemps que je n'avais pas eu un tel niveau de service. La nourriture est très bonne, en tant que fan de petit dej, j'ai adoré le leur. Les chambres et les parties communes sont très propres, design. C'est vraiment un hôtel où nous retournerons!

Comme c'est un hôtel de centre ville, la piscine est un peu petite et il y a peu de transats et les chambres offrent peu de rangements type dressing sur des durée de séjour de plusieurs jours / semaines.

Location was great. Room was good but the best thing was the friendly staff. Dimitrios, George and Theodora were amazing and we very much enjoyed meeting them. All the ladies working in the restaurant and bar were also lovely. It was a joy seeing them every morning at breakfast and getting to know them, we are very appreciative of the lovely friending service they provided to us and ensured our stay was enjoyable.

Nothing really. Initially we thought the room we had booked was a little small and maybe not fit our bags etc comfortably but it ended up being okay.

Very nice hotel with a swimming pool and a restaurant. The rooms are clean, well decorated and you get a lot of samples. The breakfast is exceptional. The staff is very nice and allay there to help. They offer a parking service for 15 EUR a day which is useful given the parking situation in Chania.

Amazing experience at the Samaria hotel, give star service, warm welcome with a refreshing drink, huge selection for breakfast and very tasty, room is very comfortable, spacious and clean. Pool area good for relaxation. Thank you for an unforgettable stay x. My friend is celiac and gluten free options at breakfast were good.

A kettle in the room for tea would have been ideal.

Excellent hotel in the center of all action in Chania. The customer service was exceptional, friendly, courteous and and felt like home. Would book again without hesitation!

Il topper. I materassi avevano due topper sopra che lo rendevano troppo cedevole, ed abbiamo dormito un po' in fossa. Data la disponibilità dell'hotel forse si poteva richiedere di timuovere almeno uno dei due topper, ma avevamo già disturbato abbastanza

Colazione abbondante , la parte salata è perfetta , implementerei la parte dolce .Staff gentile e disponibile ad ogni nostra richiesta . Il parcheggio privato a 15 euro è un valore aggiunto , in zona non si trovano parcheggi liberi.

Un grand merci pour l'accueil qui fut très chaleureux de la part de tout le personnel. Chambre très bien insonorisé très calme. Literie au top. Nous avons apprécié les petites attentions à l'arrivée. La piscine est un plus, même s'il y a peu de transats. Parking payant mais très pratique !

Dommage, il émane odeur égout dans la chambre du rez de chaussée. Les clim sont bruyantes et très peu efficaces.. salon sombre.

צוות מדהים, עם יחס אישי, אין עומס וצפיפות בחדר אוכל בקבלה ובכל. חדרים מרווחים עם מיטה ענקית. פינוקים ביום הראשון ובקבוקי מילים גדולים בכל יום. קרוב מאוד לאיזור המסעדות והנמל. יחס התמורה למחיר טוב מאוד.

No dudaría en reservar nuevamente y recomendar este hotel.Su staff es una joya, personal amable, servicial y alegre, pero genuinamente. Los desayunos son increíbles y las dependientes muy amables. El sistema de valet parking con su personal también es insuperable. Habitaciones cómodas.

My only even minor problem (wasn't even a problem really was just a bit uncomfortable) was that some of the staff wouldn't talk to me ever, only ever my girlfriend haha. The ones that did were very friendly though

Everything was great! Nice breakfasts, a lot of choice of food, really wonderful staff, hotel very clean, nice pool to relax, I enjoyed staying over there.

It is not negative comment, more remark... hotel is located in the centre so you should consider its quite noisy and some balconies offers not very attractive views.

Personale molto cordiale e preparato Tutti i problemi che si sono presentati sono stati risolti velocemente, rendendo il soggiorno magnifico. La struttura è provvista di palestra, piscina, ristorante, bar, pianobar, tutto fruibile gratuitamente. Ogni stanza è provvista di balcone arredato. La struttura è vicinissima al porto vecchio, quindi a tutti i luoghi della movida

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse på detta hotell i två veckor under vår smekmånad, och vi kunde inte ha varit mer nöjda! Allt från första dagen till sista var över förväntan. Personalen var otroligt vänlig, hjälpsam och professionell. De fick oss att känna oss välkomna och omhändertagna under hela vår vistelse. Servicen var fantastisk och de gjorde verkligen det lilla extra för att göra vår smekmånad minnesvärd. Hotellet var rent, fint och välskött, maten var utsökt och atmosfären var lugn och avkopplande. Vi uppskattade varje stund och kommer att bära med oss många fina minnen härifrån. Ett stort tack till hela personalen för er värme och ert engagemang. Vi rekommenderar varmt detta hotell och hoppas få komma tillbaka i framtiden!

Le professionnalisme et l’amabilité de l’ensemble du personnel est à souligner. L'emplacement au pieds de la gare routière est très pratique. La chambre était très calme, très propre et le matériel très bien entretenu. La climatisation était silencieuse. La literie était très confortable. Les coursives de l'hôtel étaient très calmes. La baie vitrée isolait très bien les bruits extérieurs. Donc les nuits y étaient parfaites.

Les horaires d’accès à la piscine étaient contraints par les horaires du petit déjeuner et du restaurant attenant ≈ 10h-19h c'est dommage pour ceux qui aiment nager le matin ou se détendre aux retours à l'hôtel après des journées chaudes et actives. Le petit déjeuner dont la qualité du café et des viennoiseries était en dessous de ce qu'attend un français.

מיקום מעולה, יש פיתרון נוח עם שירות חניה למגיעים עם רכב. המלון חדיש, מתוחזק היטב, מרפסות בחדרים ומיטות נוחות. הצוות מאוד יעיל וסייע רבות בכל שאלה או פנייה. ארוחת בוקר מצויינת ובריכה נעימה לשהייה. חדר כושר מאובזר ואיכותי. מקלחות טובות עם זרם חזק. בקיצור, היה נהדר!

Hotel agréable très bien situé à côté du quartier historique ( 5 mn à pied ) et de la gare routière. Personnel accueillant. Tres bon petit-déjeuner varié tous les jours que l on prend au bord de la pidcine. La .piscine qiant a elle etait bien.agréable

Not a lot of space for sun loungers which is fine but when people reserving sunbeds and not using them isn’t great for others. Would be great if the hotel removed towels from beds if not used for a certain time. Notice one person had 2 beds reserved one for morning sun then moved to other in the afternoon sun….. this is not necessarily the hotels fault

Hotel eccezionale, ottima posizione al centro città. . Personale molto professionale e gentile. Un apprezzamento particolare alla signorina Maria che ci ha accolto al check-in e salutati al check-out con grande gentilezza, educazione e sempre col sorriso. Grazie anche a tutto il personale addetto alla prima colazione ed ai dipendenti addetti anche al parcheggio dell'auto sempre pronti a soddisfare le nostre esigenze. Grazie davvero Ci ritornerò.

L'hotel si trova nella zona nuova di Chania, elegante e ben servita, a due passi dalla città vecchia. La clientela dell'hotel è internazionale. Lo staff è molto attento e sempre disponibile a dare consigli su spiagge da visitare con stabilimenti rinomati, e su ristoranti dove cenare. La piscina è pulita, la colazione ricercata, un ringraziamento va al pasticciere che ogni mattina mi ha fatto sognare. Il parcheggio dell'hotel è un lusso che vale la pena di concedersi se si vuole evitare lo stress della ricerca del posto auto.

Migliorerei, no non mi è piaciuto. La mancanza del bidet, noi italiani non perdoniamo. La schermatura delle piante nella zona piscina.

Personalul a fost foarte amabil si atent la orice cerere pe care am avut-o. Faptul ca are valet parking este un mare plus ținând cont că hotelul este in centrul orașului si este foarte aglomerat. In 10 minute mers pe jos ajungi in port. Am stat trei zile si a fost excepțional. Micul dejun a fost foarte bun. Dau cu mare plăcere nota maximă!

Nous avons eu la chance d’être surclassés et de profiter d’un penthouse avec vue sur toute la ville ! Toute la chambre était très quali et confortable. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est aussi très bon. Le personnel est très sympa et attentif. Un hôtel super pour prendre le temps.

Hello, I’m 71 years old and have been travelling the world on a yearly basis for exactly 50 years this year, and I need to tell you just how fabulous the Samaria Hotel in Chania, Crete is. Where do I start.. well, the buffet breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I’ve experienced in all my years of travel, everything from juices, Cretan/Greek pastries, fresh fruits, cheeses, hot English breakfast tastes, and the most sensational unusual breakfast bakes, like New York cheesecake, Pistachio tarts, the list is almost unending..and all made from fresh ingredients onsite. And the staff, just everywhere.. at breakfast, at reception, at the bar, just wherever you meet them, they’re exceptional… I have to make a most special mention to Theodora at the Reception desk at Samaria Hotel, she is simply the very best I have ever encountered at any hotel over my 50 years of travel.. she goes way above and beyond in service delivery, she went the extra mile in finding me in WhatsApp to help me book the most fabulous cruise/ tour to Balos and Gramvousa (stunning by the way), regularly contacting me in WhatsApp to make sure I got to the tour, that I got back, and keeping me updated on the smallest changes to the tour. Thank you Theodora, you are but amazing.. 🤩 And the hotel.. Samaria Hotel is perfectly located on a square just 2 minutes outside Chania’s old town, with a stunning pool, beautifully appointed rooms, with the best service. I know everyone says “I will be back” in these reviews, but I guarantee I’ll be back.. just bliss magic

Stop people from smoking around the pool... it's a small pool area and just one person smoking is an issue. The access into the pool needs policed as it is often made difficult to use because of nearby sunbeds
