Good location, comfy bed, clean.

Quite basic but everything you need.

Good location, close to hop off bus stop. Parking lot was available.

The bed linen was not changed, was full of hair. Staff was nice and gave another room. In description it was mentioned that the rooms has view, but there was no view. Room was facing to the other building. The interior and exterior needs refurbishment.

A nice place, nice location for our needs, friendly & helpful staff.

Location is good, near the bus station, near the restaurant areas Polk St and Chestnut St.

Location specially if you like walking, 30 min tops to mais locations. Breakfast is good, at least saves time and money.

The room wasn’t properly cleaned, we had hairs all over our bathroom. There was no cleaning during our stay, people level garbage on the hallway and it tends to smell bad all over. They should at least take out garbage every day.

Excellent overall. Good location. Clean and tidy and a very good complimentary breakfast to start the day. Could not fault any of the staff either. Very happy traveller.

I didn’t like the breakfast at all. The eggs were not real eggs but that powdered eggs. Bacon was sweet. The bread wasn’t nice. I wish there could be more options for breakfast. Proper English breakfast

gutes Frühstück. Die Lage war perfekt - vom Zimmer aus sogar Blick auf die Golden Gate Bridge. Das Zimmer war sehr gut und die Reception sehr freundlich.

Das Einstellen der Dusche und der Wasserstrahl war etwas dürftig - aber im Verlgeich zur Schweiz war dies bei fast allen Hotels auf unserer Reise so. Aber es ging ganz gut.

Porta do banheiro não fechava direito, havia cabelo no banheiro quando chegamos e uma fronha de travesseiro com marca de batom. Quarto próximo à maquina de gelo, então sempre tinha muito barulho a noite que me acordava. Café da manhã muito simples, não tinha nem banana, nem queijo (coisas básicas para um café da manhã). O fato de não ter frigobar no quarto faz muita diferença. Tem que lembrar de pedir para limpar o quarto, ficamos 4 noites e nunca limparam.

Le parking est une blague, surtout si vous avez une voiture plus grande qu’une berline (pickup, monospace, JEEP,…) Le prix est de 35$ par jour, ce qui est déjà très cher. De plus, si votre voiture est trop grande, vous devrez vous contenter d’un parking non sécurisé et très étroit à l’extérieur.

Stanze confortevoli, colazione abbondante anche se l’hotel era pieno e due mattina abbiamo dovuto aspettare per sederci. Servizio notturno utile sopratutto per riceverete le valigie che si era smarrite e ci sono state recapitate alle 23.

La cauzione non specificata da nessuna parte, il bagno piccolo e la doccia che si allagava, colazione essenziale e sala troppo piccola per ospitare tutti. Se ci fosse stata una macchina dei waffle in più sarebbe stato meglio. La camera non viene rifatta tutti i giorni. Spifferi in camera, l’hotel necessita di una ristrutturazione.

Super Lage für Stadtbesichtigungen und toller Blick auf die Bucht. Parkplatz in Tiefgarage für 35$ extra. Normales amerikanisches Frühstück. Ist aber schon etwas älter...

Staff were very accommodating and over all stay was great. Parking is below ground and access to the hotel is easy.

Very central to all activities around The Bay areas Staff were very helpful and the room I stayed I. Was very comfortable. Loved there was different coffee options in the room too. Photos I have included were the views from my corner room. Could see Alcatraz too!!

Breakfast was basic and disappointing but the staff were very attentive and pleasant.

A really good location to stay in the city without spending a fortune. Buffet breakfast was pretty good and you could make your own hot fresh waffles - i really enjoyed these. Just a few minutes walk to the Big Bus Tour stops, we used these a lot to get round the city but also just a 25 - 30 minute walk down to the main Pier and promenade area. Staff were very good, a great welcome and lots of help when asked during our stay. Room was great, everything you need, especially air con, it was hot in June when we went.

This was a great place to stay, beds comfortable, public transport close by and regular, staff friendly, large rooms, great breakfast. Couldn't fault it. Such value for money

The hotel's excellent location was not bad at all, but it could use some improvements.

What we didn't like was unfortunately a lot, for example, let's start with the reception. 80% of the people at the reception would need to be replaced so that they worked happily, worked willingly and everything would work completely differently. The cleaners are excellent, smiling and never forget to say hello. As for breakfast, it's a complete disaster. Only toast is served. Out of the four days of our stay, we only had a muffin once. Otherwise, eggs made from powder are simply terrible. As for breakfast, as for cleaning, it was cleaned well, but it would be nice if the hotel was sometimes cleaned with dry cleaning so that when you walk around the room without slippers, your feet wouldn't stick to the carpet. That would be nice.

As in the last part ,the underground parking was a bit tight .We we’re in a midsize Rental Car and I kept getting nervous about hitting other cars or pillars.

Great location and friendly staff make this hotel a good choice. It could use a little updating to compete with neighboring hotels but also has a certain amount of charm that comes with being on the older side. Our room had a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge and was within walking distance of the Wharf and other attractions. Warning: if you plan on walking to Lombard St., it is an extremely steep road that is not easy to climb. You probably want to get a Waymo or Uber. The front desk staff was very helpful, breakfast was solid but could use an upgrade, room was generally clean and well-appointed. The shower water pressure was very low and challenging to use, so there's that. Our bathroom sink drain was clogged and I called maintenance and they were there to fix it asap. Kudos! Also, the groundskeeper during the day was very hardworking and friendly to talk to. Overall, I would stay again and recommend this hotel to others.

Parking in building cramped and no elevator to lobby. Did not appreciate having to pony up a damage deposit. Bathroom was clean and functional but needlessly small. Not many amenities.

This hotel was perfect for exploring Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate, Pier 39, etc. It was a short walk or cab. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful whenever we needed anything. The rooms were clean. We didn't use the parking garage, so we can't comment on that. The breakfast was ok, it could use a little upgrade. We would recommend this hotel and stay here again!

The WiFi was down for the entire duration of our stay. Very poor water pressure in the room made for a miserable shower. Parking was also a nightmare, both times we needed to get into the garage we had to wait for a very long time for someone to answer the buzzer.

Beds were comfy and the breakfast was good. Was easy access to Golden Gate Bridge and fisherman’s wharf on bus 28

UNCOMFORT INN We checked in to the Comfort Inn by the Bay in San Francisco over a month ago with a small service dog. As generally the policy with many hotels they take a deposit & put it on hold to be released some days after departure. Here it is over a month and our deposit is still pending. I called after 3 weeks & was told to give it a few more days which we did. I called again & finally was switched over to a manager who politely asked to give him a half hour to look into the situation and that he'd call back. He never did. I called the next day, asked for the manager & as no one answered I left a message. Still no one returned my call. Some days have passed & so today I called again where a front desk agent told me that she was just like a manager and that it was the banks fault. It was a very rehearsed answer & so I imagine this happens often. The bank assured me that the problem wasn't on their end but that soon it would drop off as the Uncomfort Inn cannot by law hold it more than a month. The first night that we were there I had a terrible sleep. Something was irritating me & kept waking me up. In the morning I investigated and found that that mattress cover was ripped apart, shredded and the irritation was coming from the fibers of that cover, (Please check out the photos). Every time those sheets were changed housekeepers saw this and never changed it. I asked a houseman to pass on the info. He was nice but reluctant to pass it on and told me to tell the front desk. At the front desk the agent said that she would pass it on. Hours went by and so I had to go down again, spend time on my vacation to get something done that was so obvious needed changing. The front desk agent was reluctant as well and handed the phone to speak to the housekeeping supervisor. Not exactly my job. I got the feeling that the employees don't work well together. It took 2 trips to the front desk & it was 4pm before the cover was replaced. One more thing. There are 2 customer entrances, one is for handicap access. So I take my dog out for her morning pee and came up the handicap access as I knew the other entrance was locked. That door was locked too but a janitor opened it for me. I got sternly reprimanded by the lady at the front desk witnessed by the many people that were in the lobby all for not knowing the ringing the doorbell rules & procedures. It seems that during breakfast they keep the doors locked to stop outsiders from entering and getting a free meal. I know her position can be stressful but that's not my fault. I worked in a 904 room hotel for 20 years and so when I say the customer service was terrible it really was. Over the years we have stayed at Comfort Inns but I have to say that I would never recommend this place and I doubt that we will ever stay at a Comfort Inn again. I would have given only 1 star but the price was reasonable & the young man at the front desk upon arriving was accommodating & friendly. (Update....after 1 month we finally got our deposit back).

I'm so glad I chose this hotel for our San Fransisco stay! We were able to check in early which was awesome. The location is fantastic! We walked to/from Pier 39 and the bus stop is across the street which was so convenient. We had a room with 2 double beds and it was extremely clean, comfortable, and quiet. The room temperature was comforable as well. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to those who like to see the sites on foot and use public transportation. There is a pizza place across the street that is open late which was a bonus for traveling with a teenager. The only cons I can come up with are that there aren't refrigerators in the rooms and I would have liked access to a refillable water station that wasn't lemon water, although that is a nice perk, just not my preference.

Perfect location, nice stuff.

The hotel should modernize its rooms, including both the furniture and the bathrooms. Everything was clean, but I didn’t feel comfortable because it was obvious that everything was very worn out and outdated. The breakfast area was not particularly hygienic. Guests were expected to clear their own tables and dispose of their waste, but the lids of the trash bins were always very dirty and covered with food residue. It was also quite unappetizing that used plates and cutlery were collected by guests in a plastic crate placed in the middle of the breakfast area.

Location was so central, staff were lovely, efficient check in and check out. Very clean and beds were so comfortable

Great location, you can walk to a good number of restaurants and tourist attractions. Also close to public transportation. Their garage has limited spaces but it has in/out privileges, and it is clean, safe and cheap for SF standards. If you're in higher floors, even if you're facing the city you get a nice view. Staff was super nice and friendly.

Breakfast lacked options but it was OK. Room/bathroom and appliances are a bit dated, but nothing major for a short stay.

Great staff, super friendly and helpful all of them. Location is great, beautiful neighbourhood at walking distance to many great restaurants. The room was spacious and the bathroom had a bathtub. Wifi worked perfectly.

The beds are too soft, so if you have back issues they are not the best. Breakfast was meh, they don't have a cappuccino machine!! So you are stuck with filtered coffee + coffee mate creamer which is super sugary. They offer toasts, eggs, sausage, waffles and cereals pretty much. It would be great if it had fresh croissants or similar.

Check in was very slow…. I was there at 3.30, but was told check in was at 4.00pm and there were no rooms ready. Went for a walk and came back just before 4.00pm.. found myself in a queue of people checking in for over 12 rooms…. When I eventually got checked in, it was 5.30pm - just one poor girl on reception. (Not very happy to wait after travelling for 17 hours.. More staff needed at check in times - 2 members of staff on reception at most other times - when not needed!
