Wonderful Stay at Lily Guest Inn 🌿 We had a wonderful stay at Lily Guest Inn, Haputale. The place is beautiful, peaceful, clean, and very comfortable. The location is perfect for enjoying the cool Haputale climate and the beautiful mountain scenery. ❤️ The hospitality was truly exceptional. The hosts were very friendly, kind, and welcoming, making us feel completely at home throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and everything was thoughtfully arranged. What made our stay even more special was the warm and personal service. We really enjoyed our time here and created some lovely family memories. 🥰 Highly recommended for anyone visiting Haputale! If you’re looking for a cozy, peaceful place with great hospitality, Lily Guest Inn is definitely a wonderful choice. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you for making our Haputale trip so memorable! 🌸🏔️

We really liked the location. We were upgraded to a room with balcony. It was good value. Lovely hosts.

Skip the offer of dinner there as restaurants on road walking into town much cheaper and delicious food.

Mountain view and the atmosphere was amazing. Especially at morning sun rise

À l’arrivée à l’hôtel, l’hôte est accueillant. Il nous laisse le temps d’arriver et nous prépare un repas. Nous avons pu donner nos vêtements pour qu’ils soient lavés et nous restaurer sur place.

Les locaux ne sont pas très propres (traces sur les murs de la salle de bain, cafard dans la chambre, portes qui grincent). L’hôte nous conseille des sites touristiques et propose de trouver des chauffeurs. Les prix des chauffeurs sont élevés (8€ pour aller au Monastère d’Adisham qui est à 2km).

Super chambre et les hôtes sont très gentils. Les repas sont très bons. Nous recommandons fortement

Value for money and nice and quiet. No issues with hot water and bed was comfortable. Also breakfast was good.

RAS si ce n'est que pour rejoindre la gare d'Haputale il faut prendre un tuk tuk ca ril n'y rien autour de l hôtel à part des maisons Mais le cadre est joli

La chambre n'était pas celle affichée sur photo avec belle vue , mais côté jardin, c'était ok mais un peu déçu.il y avait tout de même un balcon . Le personnel sympathique et lit confortable, nous y avons passé qu'une seule nuit

Heel aardige eigenaren. Prima ontbijt. Tuktuk werd geregeld. Veel tips gekregen om de omgeving te ontdekken. Prima gelegen tussen station en monastery. Ontbijt meegekregen vanwege vroege tocht naar Lipton seat. Heel attent. Fijn verblijf!

Wir durften auf Nachfrage unser Gepäck ein paar Tage hier lagern um den Pekoe-Trail zu wandern. Super nett!

My room was on the ground floor and there was noise from the hallway where the reception and dining room are. The lady who welcomed me seemed to be just pretending to look nice, but in reality she had learned some phrases and she didn't care about your answers, I think. The other staff were nice. Cold water. Very unpleasant lighting, probably due to the cold color. Warm, low lighting was lacking.

Everything was great ! Our host came to pick us up at the station which was super comfortable, only 5min to go to the hotel. The room was super nice, perfectly clean with everything we needed. Special mention to the shower which seemed brand new, with great pressure and hot water. Of course the balcony with the view was also great. Finally, our hosts were very welcoming and arranged a tuktuk to go see Lipton Seat at sunrise, they even made our breakfast to go at 5am. Completely recommend this place to stay !

La chambre est neuve et aux nouvelles normes. La literie est très confortable. La vue est magnifique. Personnel attentionné et petit déjeuner très bon et copieux. Logement loin du centre mais très bien si nous voulons du calme.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour à Lily Guest Inn. Les hôtes sont très gentils, de bons conseils et nous ont beaucoup aidés pour organiser les excursions. Les chambres sont très grandes, et très propres. Les lits étaient très confortables et la salle de bain très agréable. Je recommande !

The rooms were great. Food was good. Helped out to sort out transportation within Haputale as well.

Accueil chaleureux et bienveillant de toute la famille. Excellent rapport qualité/prix. La chambre était très agréable et la vue depuis la terrasse magnifique (nous avons dû payer un supplément pour changer de chambre car nous n'avions pas réservé celle là initialement, attention à vérifier les détails lors de votre réservation). L'endroit est calme et paisible, à proximité de la ville de Haputale et des champs de thé. Les enfants voisins de la rue, qui ont fait le bonheur de mon fils durant nos 3 jours sur place ;-) Sans conteste, l'un de nos coups de cœur du voyage !

Pour dire quelque chose... la télévision, qui est plus "décorative" qu'autre chose puisqu'on ne captait aucune chaîne.

The breakfast was excellent.

Blanket and towels were very old and seemed grubby. The room was very cold. Had to ask for another blanket. Bathroom could have been cleaner. The mosque was very close and piped chanting between 5 and 6.15pm was very loud My husband developed a bad cough and we shortened our stay from 4 to 3 nights. We gave them 2 days notice of this but they insisted on charging us for 4 nights.

Beautiful views from this place, and the breakfast was incredible. The room itself was super clean, and the owner was very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Raheem and his wife made us very welcome. The rooms are bright and clean with balconies that look out over the valleys and mountains. Lilly guest house is about 1 km out of town, but Raheem was always willing to drive us around in his Tuk Tuk, even coming out on a very rainy night to bring us home. A trip to Lipton's seat in Raheems van ensured we were there for sunrise with a packaged breakfast, which we enjoyed walking amongst the tea plantation. Breakfast is included and was a highlight of the stay. The generosity of the meal easily got us through the day Dinners are also available and a feast of Sri Lankan food. We can't recommend Lilly Guest House enough, anyone visiting Haputale will be delighted with a stay at Lilly Guest house.

Rodzinny hotel w Haputale, bardzo przyjemna, pomocna obsługa. Zarezerwowaliśmy pokój standardowy, więc nie było pięknych widoków. Polecam rezerwację lepszych pokoi dla widoku. Smaczne śniadania. Dobry stosunek ceny do jakości.

Pěkný, čistý, prostorný pokoj s krásnou koupelnou. Skvělá snídaně. Klidné místo. Příjemný a nápomocný majitel. Dobrý poměr ceny a kvality.

Ubytování je trochu dál od centra, ale s tím jsme počítaly.

We loved our stay at Lily Guest Inn. The location is fantastic, it's so close to the centre of Haputale which is a hidden gem! The view from our room was fantastic and the balcony was a lovely place to relax with a cup of Sri Lankan tea! We wish we stayed an extra day or close to enjoy the accommodation and local area. The hosts were also do friendly and helpful, to the extent that they took us into town and helped my boyfriend get a sim card! All the local tuc tucs know the hotel, so it's easy to get back to after exploring. Fantastic value for money, considering breakfast is also included.

Chambres fonctionnelles, simples et propres. Balcon avec vue appréciable mais rien d'exceptionnel. Communication facile en anglais. Le petit déjeuner inclus dans notre réservation était bon (fruits, toasts, ...). La guesthouse se trouve un peu en dehors du centre de Haputale, mais accessible facilement à pied ou tuktuk.

Sehr schöne und ruhige Lage am Rand von Haputale. Die Besitzerfamilie ist sehr engagiert und unterstützt gerne bei den Planungen. Leckeres Frühstück in verschiedenen Varianten möglich. Die Umgebung und Natur ist sehr schön.

Great location if walking the Pekoe Trail. The host picked us up and took us back into town after our stay . Great local breakfasts each day . I was able to borrow a yoga mat which is always a bonus .

There was no mattress protector on the bed . Our room was off the main communal area so noisy at times . You could hear the neighbours tv and radio early in the morning . ( not our hosts fault but woke us up each day )

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The highlight of my mornings was definitely the delicious breakfast offered. The variety and quality of the food were exceptional, hot dishes that catered to all tastes. The friendly staff made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for a delightful start to your day!

Very comfortable bed, great balcony with a beautiful view and ideally located for the Pekoe Trail. Helpful staff.

Just be careful when you come out of the bathroom into the bedroom. When you have wet feet, the floor can be extremely slippery - I completely slipped over. We put a towel down after that.

Guest inn is very comfortable n good but the amount charged for food (for locals) per person is far more expensive than expected.. 15 string hoppers for Rs. 1500/- per pax is far too much hence we had a bad time finding dinner since it was long holidays around the island...

Cleanliness n calm environment

We could sit and watch the sunrise from the balcony which was amazing! Our hosts were so helpful - they facilitated a brilliant day trip with a tuk tuk driver at a good rate. The breakfast was delicious.

The curtains in the bedroom looked a little bit worn.

The rooms were relatively spacious and comfortable, the toilets were relatively large and clean, and the staff was lovely! They even packed some (free) sandwiches for us, before we went out on the Pekoe trail. Great location. Highly recommended!

The owner (mid age man) didn't welcome us at all. Not friendly & no smiles on the face.

We stayed for 5 nights, but could have stayed longer. We loved it here. Raheem and his family were very kind, very accommodating. Nothing was too much. The views from the room and balcony were divine. The bird life, especially in the mornings, was a treat. Everything, the walks all around here, the falls, the smiles, the welcome was wonderful. We hope we can stay longer next time.

This place was absolutely amazing! One of the best accommodations we've had so far! The family was very kind and helped us with everything. The food was delicious! I can only recommend them!!!
