Motel 6 Saanichton, BC - Victoria Airport

Convenient friendly staff.

It was great

Na.

Great room, reasonably priced, awesome staff. Noise from the freeway is a bit loud.

Just a regular motel But staff and cleanness were good.

Staff very helpful. Room clean. Stairs needed a sweep otherwise perfect

Sorry: I hardly ever give a poor review. Yes, this was a budget hotel chain but I did not expect laminate floors with dogs skittering around at all hours overhead. There was a good restaurant next door but I did not feel the grounds were very safe and left my security club on my vehicle.

The most comfortable beds I've slept in for a long time

Good value for the price. Close and convenient for travel to airport

Beds and pillows were so comfy

It is a no frills, basic place to stay for a good price if you have to catch an early morning flight. Room and surrounding area were clean. The staff was very friendly. Rating is based on price and proximity to airport.

Good price clean room

Our room was clean and provided all the necessities. Staff were friendly and the location was very convenient being so close to the airport.

Clean rooms, could’ve been more options in the vending machine

Nice clean place, close to the airport and restaurant in same parking lot.

convenient room for easy access and could park right in front

Inexpensive. Clean. Near airport

Comfy beds

Every thing !

All was good

Rooms were clean and comfortable but dark and ac very noisy

Pet friendly. Small leash dog park on site.

This property is consistently welcoming, clean and well maintained. I especially like the large pet area away from traffic and the pets stay free policy.

The first room floor was so dirty had to keep shoes on and it had a smell. The second room was better, as it had a sink within the washroom with a tub/shower.

Old and tired.

Clean, basic room.

Room was clean, good location. No issues

The stay was ok. Convenient to BC Ferries. Noisy location.

Clean room, comfortable bed . Basic room meets all the needs if all you want is a comfy bed and warm shower.

good

The kitchen setup was a fridge, microwave, coffe maker supplied but no eating utensils or plates or any other crockery , just paper or plastic cups. On checking out and complaining about the lack of these we were told that we should have requested these from the reception as most customers like to use their own equipment. This does not really wash when the motel is basically positioned to provide overnight accommodation for people either arriving or departing from Vancouver Island and there was nothing in the room to suggest that they were available from reception.

The room was very clean and tidy and the room was much quieter than one would expect from its location. The staff were lovely and promptly addressed any issues I had.

First room smelled very bad and the room door was wide open when we went to it. The second room also smelled bad, not as bad as the first one though.

Convenient and clean

Very close to the highway in an 80km zone so lots of road noise. Also, water running in other rooms was quite noticeable.

The beds were comfortable. We had a seperate bedroom which worked great as travelled with another couple. No shower in second bathroom ( there was a tub) - not a problem. There was coffee in the lobby every morning ready and waiting.

Excellent place to stay if you plan to avoid expensive DT hotels and plan to visit Butchart Gardens on your return via Swartz Bay. Staff are amazing and free parking is available. The Whitespot on the property serves good food and cold beer. Highway noise could be an issue for some rooms (they provide a noise cancellation kit) and the AC is our room was super noisy.

clean room

Staff seemed very concerned that everything was in order. Friendly staff.

The room was clean and staff wrre very good would definitely stay again.

Rooms very clean, very comfortable, limited dining on site but the other options were in walking distance. Very easy for the airport. Surprisingly quiet on the west side of the building.

Great access to airport. Staff were friendly Clean and comfortable

The property was clean and quiet.

Room was big and clean

Very clean and nice management

Friendly staff

Check in and check out were fast and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and the grounds themselves were nicely cared for. It was close to restaurants, a pub and even a gas station. Would definitely come again.

It’s was ok clean comfortable

My room was exactly as described and spotless. Staff provided a warm welcome.

Pet friendly

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room.

I was riding a motorcycle and needed a room where I can park my bike right in front of my room. The lady at the check-in was very accommodating and switched my preassigned room to one that worked for me. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. I was happy with everything.

Basic rooms but very clean. Excellent staff. Perfect for a short stay in the area.

Super clean very quiet nice place to stay.....20 minutes from the city perfect place to stay on your island vacation.

Room was clean

Bed was very good but air conditioning was set too high so we we’re hot all night.

Clean room.

The room was clean. The room was supplied with coffee making equipment and enough supplies for a couple g cups each. There was also coffee available in the reception area. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Staff very accommodating and helpful. Room was well stocked and comfortable. Very quiet, clean and would recommend it to others including family and friends.

The management was friendly and helpful. The laundry option was fantastic.

Staff cert

Clean, quiet, nice front desk staff

It was an ok stay.

The staff there are sissy’s do very helpful snd pleasant

It was close to a couple restaurants, convenient stores, and buses to Victoria.

Nice place to stay

Easy to find the motel and the airport is nearby

Friendly staff, easy check-in. Clean room.

The rooms were very neat and clean. The bathroom had lots of towels and maintained pretty well. The shower was roomy enough and had lots of hot water. The exterior showed some age but not poorly maintained. Lots of parking and was able to park conveniently in front of our unit. 10% discount at the Whitespot. Decent restaurant.

Location to bus stop

The highway traffic noise was quite noticeable during rush hours. The king bed mattress moved around a lot and was uneven. The staff were very helpful and polite.

It was a good stay close to farms which it was excellent for us. The room was clean. I normally bring my shampoo. it was quiete and comfortable. It is not close to shopping. You can find white spot beside to have a good breakfast. McDonald is pretty close. The location is one block from the hwy to go to Victoria City Centre. For sure I will choose this hotel again.

The washroom have an awful smell

Staff very friendly. Quick response to my issued

The lady who checked me in on Sept 12, 2025 @10pm didn't seemed to care. I told her I would prefer a quieter room since I am a light sleeper, and she gave me the noisest room next to highway and a pair of ear plugs. There are rooms at the back away from highway but she said because I only booked for two nights that is what I get. Endless traffic noise and sleepless nights. I will never book this hotel again.

Very handy for an early flight.

We only stayed one night after arriving at YYJ since it was close to the airport. There is a lack of basic necessities here such as no shampoo rinse nor lotions. The renovations done were of very low quality like no lights over the sink/vanity. When they charge $200 per night we expect at least the basics!

Very clean and quiet. Definitely stay again

Was very happy with our stay Friendly staff , clean room , comfy beds , hot shower. Will come stay again 😊

The beds could be in better condition or replaced.

Quiet and clean motel. Our room was updated and very spacious and well appointed. We were there for a working holiday and this allowed us a speedy dash to the ferry when the fun was over. This motel is a great jumping off spot for many adventures on the peninsula and the rest of the island.

Near airport easy access

Close to airport. Easy check-in and economical.

Please provide a kettle, cups and utensils in every room.

Good, but microwave did not work. Nice room well maintained.

The room was modern and clean. We were in a room with one queen bed. It was comfortable and felt like a new mattress. We had air conditioning in the room which is a must. The microwave and mini fridge were great for our leftovers. You get 10% off at Whitespot. It was a little noisy but not overly disruptive. They do offer “sleep kits” so if you’re a light sleeper I’d ask about them. It’s a great location closer to Sidney than downtown Victoria but it’s an easy drive into Victoria. Overall I recommend a stay here and I will stay here again.

Great stay!

Nice Motel 6. There was some traffic noise.

The property needs to be cleaned up and the rooms need to have at least one comfortable chair not the hard uncomfortable chairs they have

Conviently located next to highway 17.

Incredible staff - friendly & flexible !

Very clean and comfortable room. Staff was friendly and efficient. Nicest Motel 6 we’ve ever stayed at! Close to road so traffic noise. Bring earplugs or ask for room facing away from the highway.

Very noisy air conditioning unit Wifi was intermittent Limited Tv channels

It was very handy for a early start to the airport

Wasnt very clean Extremely run down Mould in bathrooms

Room was dirty and staff would not compensate for it.

Great location. Friendly staff. Room was in a good condition

The towels were soft, air conditioner worked well, and it was quiet.

Everything is really great! Very clean and very nice reception.
