Jill was a lovely host and very accommodating when we came in late from the ferry. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, the view was beautiful, and the property was quiet and calm. The dogs were a highlight :)

They took great care of us, the rooms were clean and quiet. The location is very peaceful with only nature sounds, no traffic or sirens ! They made us breakfast and lunches that were very good ! The pool was being filled for the season though we are going back in two weeks and very much look forward to it !

Honestly, I don’t feel any improvement is needed. There is no t.v. In the rooms but there is a huge rec room with one, as well as darts and comfortable couches. I didn’t miss it, in fact the peace was even better, I slept with the patio door open and the frogs and birds coaxed me to great nights sleep.

Wonderful host and hostess. Special ambiance with Incredible views. There is a wonderful sense of Nature and a quiet there that is so enjoyable to be immersed in.

Beautiful and relaxing home overlooking the water and just what I needed as was on the Island to attend Celebration of Life for my dear brother. Wonderful host's and very pleasant and accommodating and really enjoyed both breakfasts plus tasty bottle of wine in our room. Also had fridge available for our use plus able to use living room if needed.

A suggestion would be to attach flag lights on way up the hill to help guide as some of us are night vision challenged.

Place felt run down and not overly clean.

I was there because my beloved Mum had passed. I didn’t eat breakfast, due to my own grief & lack of hunger. However, being provided with a kettle, having access to a fridge, I was able to make coffee & nibble of a granola bar in the comfort of the tv room while overlooking the most stunning view!

Nothing, truly. If available, I’d return in a heartbeat.

The location is great. It’s away from the busy-ness of the city but close enough to drive there with ease. The owners were very nice and made sure we were taken care of

A terrific stay while on the island to go fishing. Location has an epic view, very well layed out. Good access for parking. Room had another beauty view from the patio/french doors. Bathrom was super clean, bed comfy, with a very nice setup for reading in an arm chair. Jill greeted me and made me very welcome. A full breakfast to end off the stay. A special touch was the MEGA packed lunch /breakfast for my early departure to go salmon fishing.

The location and view were excellent. The room was comfortable and had a nice living room to visit with friends.

Maybe update the pillows. They weren't very firm and had to put several together for proper support.

Jill was very pleasant and served a wonderful breakfast. The dog Luna was a sweet addition to our stay.

Our room had a small ripple in carpet. Carpet needs stretched. Working with seniors for many years, I see this as a tripping hazard..

This is a quiet retreat, away from the noise of the city and towns. The accommodations are very comfortable, the host is inviting and the views are sensational.

Our suite was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. It was nice to have a fridge and a common room to hang out in in the evenings. Breakfast was delicious. The last day we left early and the owner packed us a breakfast to go! Our son lives nearby so we hope to be back.

The minute we stepped inside Jill's home, we were made so welcome and our room was so comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and must have had the best view overlooking the Saanich inlet from our room with access to the garden, pool and hot tub. Jill's son Mark, makes the most delicious breakfast which we enjoyed every morning in the beautiful setting overlooking the bay. Their home is a dream and not to be missed if you're staying in the area. We only wished we could have stayed longer and got to know Jill more, who was the perfect host and very engaging

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

The breakfast was always solid, and the dynamic duo running the BnB were fantastic hosts. I would recommend this BnB to folks looking for a relaxing place to lay their heads and unwind in the evenings on their travels in the area who are seeking excellent value for their dollar during the stay. Added bonus: There are dogs that live on-site and meander the property who are happy for a couple scritches and to play a little fetch!

BnB's are someone's home! There are several suites and guests having breakfast around the same time. This was a non-issue for my partner and I, but I would not recommend the BnB experience to folks who are shy to interact with others.

Lovely location, nice view, nice and quiet. Ensuite bathroom. Room size adequate.

Cold room, heat not on and no individual heat control. Cooked breakfast was fine but no condiments offered for the toast [no jam etc]. Pancakes were from a "pancake mix" and not fresh. No cereal or fresh baked muffins or scones offered. No individual tea pots for the table. These are the finer things we expect in a B & B of this expense. The outside of the building including our private patio and the main front entrance could do with a lot of TLC.

Mrs Jill, the hostess is ready kind and caring. The property has everything you can imagine of a vacation: a cozy and tidy room, a cool pool with basketball set, a hot tub with mountain and sea view, a sauna next to an indoor wide living room, beautiful interior design, and two extremely friendly border collies - Abby and Luna. We feel like being taken care of, and wish we could have more time to just stay in the BnB, enjoy the amazing view and playing with the dogs. We will definitely come back here when we visit the island.

Beautiful location. Very quiet and peaceful. Room was clean and comfortable it had an incredible view. Hosts were great, very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. We were very surprised to find a swimming pool and hot tub. Nice walking trails around the property. It’s close to the airport, 20 min drive to Victoria 10 mins to Buchart Gardens and Butterfly World.

The setting was so beautiful and bed very comfortable. The pool and Spa were refreshing. Just what I needed.

The location is absolutely stunning. The B&B was easy to find and close to everything however very private in a heavily forested area with beautiful ocean views. The home and grounds are beautiful, the bed was comfortable and the home cooked breakfast was delicious. Our host Jill was such a sweet and accommodating lady and it felt like we were staying at your favorite aunt's house. Luna one of the B&B's dogs visited with us several times a day to play fetch. She was super adorable.

Very happy with our stay. We have no complaints and would stay again.

This is our 4th stay since we discovered this awesome BnB. We are booked for a staycation in July 2025. There is no where else we would stay in and around Victoria. We love the location for accessing the beautiful Sidney by the Sea with great shopping, restaurants and sea walks plus only a 25 minute drive to downtown Victoria. It is a 10 minute drive to Butchart Gardens. Full breakfast ( love Mark’s new hash browns ), spotlessly clean, super comfortable beds and free parking. Looking forward to relaxing by the beautiful pool on our return in July. Jill, David and Mark treated me like family while my husband was in hospital. I can’t thank them enough for their care and concern.

Everything. So wonderfully quiet, a perfect staycation. Comfy bed, great breakfast and lovely hosts. Despite the location being rural it is only a 15 minute drive to Sidney, lovely community by the sea, and 25 minutes to Victoria. Loved the location.

Although the location feels remote it is only 10 minutes from Pat Bay Hwy, one of the main highways into Victoria. Stunning property, peacefully quiet, extremely comfortable beds, great breakfast and lovely host, Jill. Each room on the lower floor has its own patio with a view and easy walk across the grass to the hot tub. Don’t forget your swimsuit.

Rae Leigh Heights BnB is a lovely property with wonderful views. It is an excellent location for visiting Victoria and the Saanich Peninsula. David and Jill are very welcoming and caring hosts. We had a lovely time here and wished we could have stayed for longer. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities that one might want.

Breakfast was tasty & with fresh fruit . Coffee was excellent. extra requests were available if needed. nice view from tables. coffee maker in room / fresh milk in common fridge. guest bottle of wine from hosts. HOSTS: David & Jill are exceptional and love what they present & meeting guests.

need larger common guest fridge. larger table needed in bdr for coffee & dishes. microwave in room needed. paper towels for wipe up & clean up overhead lights in bdr & bath too bright . extra towel racks needed in bathroom. a small dresser in bdr. needed.

The location is surrounded by mountains. The innkeepers were friendly. The location is quiet.

The location is extremely remote and difficult to find, taxis and ride shares could not find the place easily. The location is extremely isolated and not near anything ... to get to the nearest road, you have to scale a steep mountain. The room itself was unclean, the bedding smelled musty and unwashed. There were live crawling spiders in the room and the sounds of insects was audible inside the room in the evening. The smoke alarm/detector was pulled from the wall leaving a gaping hole with exposed wires. The inn itself has steep carpeted stairs and numerous unsecured rugs that are a serious tripping hazard in the narrow hallways leading to the rooms. Be prepared to haul your own luggage up and down the steep stairs.

Property is not well taken care of. Weeds everywhere. Front entrance outside was a mess and extremely unwelcoming on arrival. Our sundeck was filthy, full of debris, cushions were all on the deck with bat poop on them. Mirror in bathroom had been cleaned with a filthy rag. There was an electric razor left in our bathroom. The towels were probably 40 years old and like cardboard. A used cork in the corkscrew. Living room had cobwebs everywhere from the plants. Dining breakfast area had dead plants. Breakfast was very slow after they told us 8am Parking was not good. Very dark for arriving at night. Hosts were dressed in dirty clothing and their kitchen had a cat litter box in there and huge bag of catfood. This place should be shutdown or an inspection should be done. Health department would shut them down for sure.

The views are incredible and we could have been happy just enjoying them. The pool and hot tub were great late afternoon/evening activity and dinner in town was just a few minutes drive away. The owners are so sweet and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable.
