Moustache Jaisalmer

Very disappointing experience. I booked this property for two nights but stayed for only around four hours. There was a serious lack of communication between the staff. I was repeatedly asked to change my bed and locker due to their own confusion. Later, while I was in deep sleep after a long journey, another guest repeatedly poked me on the back to wake me up over the locker issue. When I asked him to speak to the staff instead, another guest unnecessarily got involved, became hostile and disrespectful, and repeatedly tried to provoke me even after I asked him several times not to interfere. Instead of properly managing the situation, the staff asked me to move to another bed and move my locker again. I ultimately had to leave with my belongings to prevent the situation from escalating and booked another hotel. The owner did not respond when I initially contacted the property about the incident. Only after I complained to Booking.com and had already moved to another hotel did the owner respond the following day. The response felt like a mere formality rather than any genuine attempt to address what had happened. The following day, I went back to collect my clothes from the laundry. The staff were sitting in a corner, laughing and making fun of me while speaking in the local language. Their behaviour and expressions made it quite clear that they were mocking me, which was extremely disrespectful and added to the already unpleasant experience. I am sharing this review so other travellers can make an informed decision. You should know whom you are dealing with and what kind of people you are dealing with. the manage to get good reviews I ask some people what they do is great try to get in touch with you they try to make you comfortable and ask about making a good review that is there whole Moto everything else is just a show of UN professional wannabe behaviour.

Everything about the property is good. The ambience the vibe the cleanliness everything. This is not a paid promotion but a genuinely good one. Our train back to Jodhpur was 3 am at night… the manager and the guys there called auto for us to reach the station even at 2 am. Even though most of the Jaisalmer gets shut down after 12.

One thing that can be updates is the bathroom door in the dorms

La beauté de ce Havelis merveilleusement décoré dans le respect de la tradition...cela donne l'impression d'être transportés dans la dimension des Mille et une nuits...et pour la touche finale, le personnel est très accueillant et bienveillant quelque soit l'heure de la journée! Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement situé juste sous le Fort de Jaisalmer...que du bonheur!

Electricity points - fan and light is controlled only from 1 location. Toilet seat is broken. Comforter should come with cover - many diseases are going on due to hygiene. You can't wash the blanket everytime so cover is necessary. I didn't use. Zostel/Hosteller are better.

They request to change bed and dorm in between of stay, that is difficult for any one to carry all the stuff from here to there.

It is a wonderful place,calm and relaxing. Flowers and birds, sun and shade. The staff is absolutely amazing. Smiling,happy og so serviceminded. The food is so good and also the drinks and coffe/chai. I have never been so relaxed on vacation. I do realy recomand the camel safari with sleepover, it is so wonderful. Excelent distance from the Fort,and Holi is an absolute must, i loved every second in this wonderful Hostel. Thank you!

Nær hovedinngangen til fortet og marked. Koselig hage med blomster og syngende fugl. Fine sitteplasser i skyggen hvor man kan nyte drikker og mat. Takterasse er perfekt om kvelden da sola har gått ned med en fantastisk utsikt over fortet. Alt personalet var veldig hyggelig og behjelpelig med alt fra transport, innkjøp av ting jeg trengte og anbefalinger. Vi bestilte en kamelsafari i ørken med dem og det var helt magisk. Eier av stedet behandlet oss som konger. Fikk masse gode tips og anbefalinger.

Skulle ønske jeg hadde vært lengre. Jeg vil absolut tilbake hit!

only the fact that it was a 350 -year old haveli that had been restored .

first of all,the room size disappointed me . It was a double bed superior room-i had hoped it would accommodate all the 4 members of my family,including myself ; but,it did not . The bathroom was the most disappointing part of the stay-- the washbasin was much above the waist level of an average person , the water in the bathroom area got logged in one corner of the bathroom as the slope towards the drain was not proper . ---this could have resulted in the guest's slipping inside the bathroom,which is very dangerous . The bed could not be climbed onto without difficulty . It was too soft and such a soft bed often causes backaches and the guest can never have a restful sleep .

Everything about the place, the people specially the reception guy Mr. Saddam, never have I ever met such an amazing person, he helped us with every thing possible, made all the arrangements for us. It was not a hotel, it felt more like a home and I'll always keep this place in my heart.

We had a great stay at moustache Jaisalmer! The property has a beautiful view of the fort, and the vibe is super relaxed and friendly. The staff was helpful, and everything was well-organized. We also took the desert safari through moustache, and it was an amazing experience — from the camel ride to the peaceful night under the stars. Highly recommend for backpackers or anyone wanting a memorable stay in Jaisalmer

La struttura molto bella, con la corte interna dove potersi riposare. Belle decorazioni anche in camera. Il letto grande e comodo e il bagno ampio.

Le cose non piaciute sono tre: 1. Scarsa privacy! Le tende alle finestre erano semitrasparenti e con la luce accesa da fuori la stanza è facilmente visibile come lo eravamo anche noi che persino dovevamo fare accortezza a non camminare svestiti (scommetterei che qualche membro dello staff conoscendo la situazione se n’è approfitti per vedere le ragazze svestirsi o quanto meno questa è stata la nostra sensazione). 2. Continui blackout elettrici. Durante le ore serali e nella notte la corrente si staccava e di conseguenza si fermava l’aria condizionata e le ventole, facendo un tremendo rumore e disturbando il nostro sonno. Non posso dire che ci siamo ben riposati. 3 un capitolo a parte va dedicato allo staff. Nel prezzo della camera non è compresa la colazione e ne eravamo consapevoli. Quando abbiamo fatto la colazione nel caffè adiacente, ci è stato detto di pagare una volta fatto il checkout insieme al costo della camera. Il personale parla vagamente l’inglese e quando stavamo saldando il conto inizialmente ci dicono che la colazione non è compresa e anzi, per chi soggiorno in albergo il costo è di 199 rupie a persona (noi ne abbiamo consumato a la carte 390 totali), poi ci dicono che “never mind” colazione ve la omaggiamo e pagate solo la stanza. Cambiavano la versione ogni minuto. Per sicurezza, dopo il pagamento della camera ho richiesto se eravamo a posto e che non dobbiamo dell’altro e ci è stato detto TUTTO OK. Una volta arrivata la nostra macchina, ce ne stavamo andando quando il cameriere che ci ha serviti ci rincorre con il conto da pagare. Quindi, caro signor proprietario che sta nel cortile a fare public relations cercando solo di vendere dei tuor nel deserto a costi fuori dal normale, invece di passare le sue giornate seduto senza fare niente, potrebbe rimboccarsi le maniche e cercare di dare il servizio che la gente si aspetta in questo seppur bello, ma trascurato albergo.

I never expected that Booking .com would recommend such a lousy place to stay . Except for Location every thing was bad . I had paid advance of Rs 8500/ for 3 night stay but because of such a poor facilities i just stayed for 1st Night on 7th March and checked out from hotel next day at 10 AM . Pl don't spoil your reputation by taking the booking of such a Lousy Place of stay

We had two rooms and both were stinks like Sewage or dirty Toilet. We requested them to fix but they didn’t do anything. Bathroom sink was broken.

I stayed in the property for 3 nights, they charged me 43,000 inr. Almost 15k a day for an old junk room where the toilet smells. Commode doesn’t operate . I wanted to checkout immediately but was denied and told need to pay the entire amount. Otherwise excellent location, staffs are good and the rooms look good only in photos. It cannot be more than 4K a day. I could book a 5star easily

Moustache Jaisalmer offers an average stay experience with a mix of pros and cons. The location is its strongest point, situated right opposite the stunning Jaisalmer Fort, which makes it convenient for sightseeing. The rooftop restaurant provides an incredible view of the fort, especially at night, but the food quality is average at best. Dinner was Indian cuisine, which was delicious, but for lunch, we ordered indo-chinese dishes, which were not at all great. Overall, Moustache Jaisalmer is an average choice for travelers looking for options with a great location, but improvements in service and room comfort would make the experience much better.

One of the biggest drawbacks was the slow service—waiting a long time for my order was frustrating. However, the manager was quite helpful and provided useful tips to plan our trip, which was a nice touch. The rooms are compact and feel a bit cramped, though they do have a vibrant Rajasthani ambiance with colorful decor that adds a cultural vibe to the stay.

Expensive double room was not provided with a window, we had to keep the door open to breathe some fresh air. The personal of the hostel wasn’t so friendly, the personal of the restaurant was embarrassing: almost all of them don’t speak english, needed 3 people to make an order, many of them staring at me and my friend for a long time while having a beer.

well as always my stay with Moustache exceeded my expectations. Gautam is a true gentleman, he takes care of everything and guided us about the services and recommended us many places to visit. The desert adventure was very nice and thrilling. Camel ride is a must! I want to specally thanks Gautam for arranging to courier our things back which we had forgotten at the hostel! They do go extra mile for their guests. Moustache is the best place to stay in Jaisalmer.

Loved my stay here! Staff were very friendly and helpful with organising our desert experience. The location is also great! Only 3mins walk from the fort! Hostel also felt so safe and clean and the gardens we nice to sit in. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a nice staying here at Moustache Jaisalmer! The room was cleaned and well furnished, the location was just outside of the fort, away from the chaos inside the fort yet very central to the main attractions. We highly recommend to do the safari trip (non touristic) as it has been so special, with amazing and kind staff, that will make the whole experience memorable!
