The blood stained duvet and carpet. The brown stained bath. Liquid stains all over the floor, chair and sofa bed. The dehumidifier. The dirt around the windowsill. The smell. The noise of the bathroom when the light was on.

Room is not ready. I arrived 30mins before and they changed me 5 pounds and room is not ready then gove other room and that one is not ready to then gove me 3 one but still didnt like so leave after few hours because didn't like it

Hotel is on two levels and I stayed on ground floor facing the car park. Looked like an old Premier Inn TBH. Cleanliness could have been better carpet was stained and needed hoovering - really needed replacing. There was an unmade single bed in the room that looked as though someone had been eating food on it but as I wasn't using it I left it. for some strange reason the bathroom light switch was at the door entrance to the room so I had to go to the door to switch on bathroom light...not a huge thing really but irritating. Couldn't leave the light on and close bathroom door cos the fan was linked to the light and a bit noisy Room was generally bland and very warm with no aircon - didn't look as though room ever had it or any air circulation system. There was a fan but all this does is circulate warm air. Had window open but due to being on ground floor opposite car park this was a little noisy at times. Towels were the thinnest I have ever used in a hotel Need a key to get into hotel reception after 11.30pm but it didnt work! Fortunately there was someone on reception to release the door The early morning wake up call at 5am from a couple having a serious and very expletive argument somewhere down the corridor didn't help my mood...this went quiet after a half hour but flared up again around 8am. I suppose this can happen anywhere but I didn't hear any staff trying to intervene. For £91.80 and with no breakfast it wasnt great value. I stayed in Naples for less per night and had breakfast included. I am not overly fussy about rooms but I wont be staying here again

Room was not cleaned or beds made in 3 days. Towels were only replaced when asked. Towels had stains on all of them. Pillows cases had stains on them. Cold tap had a slow leak which was annoying. No AC, No fan available.

Room was dirty, carpet was "sticky" dirty, not vacuumed around edges, so dirty our feet left black marks in the shower after walking on it! Decor is tired, mould in bathroom.

Cleanliness was shocking, the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied from the previous guests. A towel had stains on it, it was 28 degrees outside and the air con was broken and no fans provided, meant for a very uncomfortable night and no sleep. Carpets where stained.

Room 38 had a curtain stained with what looked like dried vomit. Carpet stained felt uncomfortable taking our shoes off. Fought with the bath to get control of the water to have a shower. Dirty smelly corridor leading to the room.

the whole room like stepping back in time room very dated and needs total refurb bathroom especially the floor in the bathroom was really bad when you walked on it. the laminate flooring was split allowing water to escape underneath.

dirty pillows with woodlouse in one pillow case, no cups provided for coffee and tea facilities, handwash in shower not shampoo and body wash, bin in bathroom not emptied, carpet to bathroom not fastened down, curled up causing us both to trip (dangerous), no hot water to bath and shower taps, and no air conditioning, fan provided was broken. Needed a shower but unable to have one.

The room itself was tatty and requires TLC. Bad connection on TV. Fan in room not powerful enough and no air to circulate. The bathroom had constant water on the floor which was health & safety risk. It was reported but wasnt followed up by maintenance. The bathroom fan was especially noisy and the light switch for the bathroom was down at the door - no good when you are walking around trying to find it during the night. Constant foot fall outside the window.

Reviewed May 18, 2026I have stayed here previously when visiting family who live close by. It may be a bit basic, but, that said, it is very good value for money, although the price has gone up quite a bit since I stayed here last year. The bed was comfy, the shower worked fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was suitable for what I needed for 1 night. I have no hesitation is staying here again in the future. The location is great, with a Sainsbury supermarket just across the road. The Poachers pub adjacent serves good food, including breakfast, at very reasonable prices.
Just a small thing to note. There was only 1 complimentary coffee sachet but I always take my own coffee whenever I travel anyway so not too much of a problem. But, there was no teaspoon! I used the end of my toothbrush to stir my drinks! Yes, I could have asked reception but I was only there 1 night and did not spend that much time in the room anyway.
