The number of families who allowed their children to run around the corridor at 11pm at night and through out the night screaming. When I tried to call reception to complain they did not answer the phone.

Excellent dog friendly hotel. Rooms clean and spacious and beds comfortable. Food and drinks reasonably priced and location excellent for travelling on M6. Inclusive breakfast was great with a choice of buffet or hot bacon, sausage etc.

Dog friendly, roomy room with large modern style shower and no bath great if you have some mobility problems. Beds extra comfy with 2 decent pillows.

Places to sit with dog, all chairs and sofas too low if you struggle to rise from a chair. The bar stool seating in the same area couldn't climb on it. Definitely not designed for those with some mobility problems.

Great value for money and breakfast included. Rooms very comfy, just a little noisier this time as our room was road side and we could hear traffic. If you are car park side its really quiet.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The dinner menu was good, the food was nice, and the breakfast was good too.

2nd stay here,to and , on our way back from Scotland with our 2 dogs. Very dog friendly. Great size rooms Very convenient for M6, excellent place to stay , great value for money. Evening meal was good, amazing breakfast quality produce and selection. Staff very efficient and friendly. They made us and our dogs feel very welcome nothing too much trouble.

Maybe would be beneficial to have dog bins around the outside areas.

Noise from traffic very intrusive and continues 24 hours. Rooms on the other side will be much quieter. Also noise from other guests late night and early morning - all guests need to be reminded they are in a hotel not a playground.

Delicious buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. My TV only had 4 channels when I checked in but a member of the reception team came up to my room immediately and retuned the TV for me.

Location just off M6 is a great break on way to Scotland. Tesla supercharger bays are easy to use and plentiful.

Room was too hot and stuffy. Air con did not work. Breakfast was dire with staff surly and unhelpful. Food was poorly cooked and several items ran out prior to our breakfast. Cleanliness of room was OK but several areas of shower showing mould and a few suspicious stains on the carpet and back of toilet door...!

The hotel is conveniently located close to the highway. The venue is very clean, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is very good. We've already stayed there four times and we'll book it again for our next holiday.

My bad for assuming that paying to use a dedicated Tesla Supercharger station on site meant I wouldn't be slapped with a £100 parking fine. My bad for expecting a large hotel brand to exercise basic common sense when presented with official Tesla invoices proving my charging time (49 minutes exact) matched my vehicle's time on site 100% to the exact minute. After checking online reviews across Google, TripAdvisor, and PlugShare, I realized I am far from the only victim. Dozens of EV drivers encounter this exact same trap every month. EV drivers stop here solely to charge and leave—we do not naturally walk into an adjacent hotel lobby unless explicit, eye-level warning signs are posted outside directly at the charging posts. Beware of the hidden costs when visiting this location. It feels as though management treats these £100 fines levied against legitimate EV chargers as a regular income stream rather than fixing the physical defects in their parking signage. I strongly advise against booking rooms, using their amenities, or utilizing any services at this hotel. Avoid this location entirely—use a different Supercharger stop to protect yourself from predatory hidden costs.

Great location for our travelling. Room was clean. Breakfast was lovely.

There was an interesting smell in the room and the bar is extremely expensive. We also got bitten over night but that is not the hotel’s fault.

My hubby and I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Preston South whilst on a coach trip with Caledonian Travel. Our room 123 was lovely. The bed was super comfy and bathroom spotless. Shower was warm and loved the Dove products. We had an evening meal included which was good, piping hot and buffet style. The steak pie was delicious. Breakfast was great all be it a little bit manic. Food again was lovely. Staff are brilliant at this hotel, so attentive, friendly and genuinely a real credit to the hotel.

Had a problem with room keys and getting into the rooms on a few occasions. More tea/ coffee and biscuits would have been appreciated

I have just received a fine through the post after charging my car in the car park of this hotel. I can't believe this is still happening after the amount of poor reviews you have received over the years. This is a clear scam if I have ever seen one and you are clearly trapping people. The response has been that there is signs and also that it mentions this on the Tesla app. Although this is true, this is one of the only charging spots in the UK where you need to register to prevent a charge. The won't do more to prevent more people getting caught out because of the amount of fines they are issuing.

I used the Tesla charger at this Holiday Inn Express Preston South on the 26th. I went into reception at 19:00-19:08, told staff I was charging, and they said “no problem”. I have severe dyslexia and autism so I relied on that verbal permission and didn’t use the tablet. I still received a £100 ParkingEye fine. The hotel has refused to cancel it or take any responsibility, saying it’s “ParkingEye’s problem”. Very poor treatment of a disabled guest who followed staff instructions. Would avoid at all costs - I don’t know why the staff have done this to me.

Our location was excellent but the rooms were beautiful, wonderful showers!! We were greeted by Jordan who has the most wonderful customer service. Breakfast is yum yum yum!!! We will be talking about the pancake maker for a long time!!

Room was big enough for me to turn my wheelchair Room 18. I couldn’t book accessible as they were booked. Only thing was toilet was a little small for my wheelchair. Good sleep and air conditioning as it was 28’C so was cool in room. Thanks also used Tesla chargers in car park,bonus

Needs more accessible rooms

We had been travelling some distance when we stopped here. I initially thought it was a serivce station, but had been given the wrong information. We needed to charge our car any way. I asked at recpetion if there is a service station near by. She said no. I asked if we were ok to use the charging port and hotel toilets for a while. She said yes. I must say at this point how grumpy the receptionist was and how I was putting her out by asking my two questions. Presumably this is a reason why she wasn't helpful in telling me I needed to register my car on the tablet. Flash forward and I get a £100 parking fine. Yes, they will tell you there are signs warning you. No doubt they will be in size 8 font. Ultimately this is my fault and I paid the fine. But let's face it, this is a cash cow for the company. Their whole busness model is for you to not notice. I would like to see the data on how much they make from this. So, be warned if you stop here, even for 15 minutes, you need to register your car. A message to the receptionist and the people who work at Parking Eye - no doubt your job is not very well paid. But don't ever complain about how the 'man' is out to make your life hard, when all you are is another cog in their machine.

We had an issue with cleaning in our room, which was dealt with quickly and professionally. Otherwise a good value hotel, with Aircon, located near the motorway junction. No noise with windows closed. Breakfast included.
