Daphila Cottage

So greatful for our stay! We stayed for one week and it felt like home.The customer service is amazing and the view wow! the view is worth everything! The staff were super friendly and Vita was our helpful angel and she is also fluent in English. We were spoilt with the breakfast and they offered a daily turn down service. An extra bonus was the free taxi pick up and drop off to the port. Any other querries or external needs like scooters, laundry and snorkeling was offered at a fair price and flexibility. Daphila is super local and shops and resteraunts are a 5 minute walk away but the place still feels so private. This place is awesome, We could not understand why some people only stayed a couple nights but we also prefered that because it was never overcrowded and the 18 metre pool was always accessible. We even successfully encouraged another family member who booked elsewhere to migrate to Daphila and they wished they had switched accomodation earlier. Cant praise this place enough. Thank you Daphila family.

这个民宿在半山腰的位置，房间直对海景和阿贡火山，日出时候稍微被树挡着点，但是日落时候可以完整看到太阳落在海里，景色超绝！夜晚光污染极小，可以清晰看到银河的轮廓，在这里住的期间正值英仙座流星雨极大值，拍到很多好看的流星。服务员可以把你的餐食送到你房间门口，你可以一边看风景一边吃，甚至可以在游泳池里吃，太享受了。他家的腰果鸡超级好吃！旅游旺季的价格虽然不便宜，但是绝对物超所值！

酒店用水是淡化海水，有点点咸味。

The relaxed environment and those views don't get any better. The infiniy pools is nice touch. The staff were extremely friendly and the room were clean and tidy.

Nice location with clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, and we really appreciated being able to customize the food to our preferences. They arranged transportation around Nusa Penida at affordable prices and also offered scooter rentals at reasonable rates. The staff—Pita, Ira, and Diah—took great care of us and our children. We will definitely be coming back again.

The view is stunning - really an amazing location!

The little cottages are a bit rundown. Sometimes we had no water (only for short times) and they’re also not very clean. In the night this place is quite noisy…you hear the road, a construction site where the people are working during the night and different animals that are quite noisy (a rodent was trying to get into our cottage and we had a very noisy gecko inside the house). This place is good if you’re ok to drive the motorbike for going out to eat lunch & dinner. It’s too far to walk to restaurants or beach areas, you always need to ride a motorbike or hire a car to go out.

Le lieu est charmant avec une vue spendide sur la mer et le coucher de soleil. La piscine à débordement est magnifique. Notre chambre familiale était spacieuse. Le plus est le personnel toujours à disposition et avec le sourire. Nous avons également très bien mangé sur place. Merci à l’équipe pour le lift en scooter au port🙏🏻

Effet Whouah quand on arrive dans ce cottage face à la mer avec le mont AGUNG en fond !!! TOP ! Les maisonnettes sont très cosy et bien climatisées ! Piscine commune avec transats et bains de soleil "filets". Très calme parce que très excentré. Il est impératif de louer un scooter ou faire appel à un taxi pour se déplacer. Un taxi vient nous chercher gratuitement au port de Sampalan (il faut indiquer notre heure d'arrivée). Le jour de notre départ, une catastrophe s'est produite: un bateau qui assurait la traversée vers Sanur s'est retourné faisant 3 morts. Traversées TOTALEMENT interrompues jusqu'à nouvel avis. TRES GRAND MERCI à Vita du front office du cottage, qui nous a littéralement pris en charge jusqu'à l'embarquement sur un bateau qu'elle s'est elle-même chargée de nous réserver !!!! Service au TOP !

May little far from beaches

Everything!! I rarely give 10s but this property is not flashy but so chilled and gorgeous staff Perfect view, pool, room had good fridge, great air con and the best hot water shower and great value. Yes you need scooters but who doesn’t like venturing out in the evening and finding a great little Warung or beachside restaurant?

Our bathroom sink was leaking water all over the floor, but we just laid a towel down in front of it to avoid slipping.

Best service team so far on our Bali, Penida, Gili, Lombok, Gili tour. Very kind, very helpful. Nice view and nice food. Pool was nice but needed a shower to wash off before going in. Beds were good at the night fairly quiet and calm - we slept well. Cottages small, but nice and cozy except for bathroom (see below).

Bathroom seat should be changed. Not tomorrow - but immediately. Silly thing, but it just gives a really bad impression, when it looks like c…! Bathroom in general could use a facelift. Resort/hotel is generally s bit worn some places, but overall it is not an issue. You need a taxi to go the city, but this was well described in reviews, so no surprise to us. I did a run/exercise (only 1,5-2 km) into town to pickup cash and small supplies (no big deal, but of course be aware in the traffic with no side walks). Like everywhere else in Nusa Penida trash is allover. Not in the hotel, but the secone you step out of premises it is on everywhere - side of roads, bushes, beaches, in big piles etc. Sometimes it seems they use plastic waste as some sort of landfill on parking lots. As an island living from selling experience of nature, this makes little sense that there is no coordinated effort to keep it clean.

Pool with the view was awesome.

View and it has a pool. After a long day of exploring, the pool is a respite. Not much else to do, hence these two points are the redeeming factors for what is lacking in the cottages.

Insects disturbing your sleep. TV remote not working. Because places are far away from each other, dinner we did at hotel - not very great. Only one way transfer is provided by the hotel.

The views of the ocean and mountain were amazing. Staff were super accommodating and food was really nice.

The view from the pool is breathtaking. The staff were absolutely amazing. So nice and helpful! I liked the detail of having a specific place we're to hang the wet clothes. Their restaurant is good.

Breakfast is rather limited. The rooms are ok but the lighting is terrible. You can barely see anything. You have to consider taking taxis or renting a motorbike e as it is not accessible to anything by foot.

The view, the staff, the cleanliness. Such a relaxing and calming spot.

It is a little bit of a drive to any restaurants or activities however you get a quiet relaxing hotel in exchange. The staff is also willing to set up any taxis or rent you a scoter, if/when needed

The toilet cover needed to be changed. It had dirty marks on it . Looked very dirty. İn fact it was not but the look was disgusting.

We booked this place for the view and that did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We were pleasantly surprised that the tv was connected to streaming services so we had the luxury of unwinding with a movie at night. Air con was very good. The hotel arranged taxi for us and our driver was the best. Penida taxi drivers in general are the GOATs.

Something to keep in mind is that the west side (Kelingking) and east side (Diamond beach) of Penida are both about an hour drive away from this hotel, so plan accordingly.

Snorkelling arranged by the resort was twice as expensive at Gili t . But it was fun .

pool was amazing, we stayed in the family cottage and it was a dream, love the place, the view and the staff were fantastic, it is a bit far from the beach so we had to get car to come down from the mountain and we chill at a place called secret penida closer to the beach, this cottage is great for a romantic get away, however with kids gets a bit boring for them. restaurant is small however the food was great. it was my birthday and my husband organized a bdy surprise staff was amazing.

It's a beautiful location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They arranged everything for us, from car rental to wellness arrangement. They also made our honey moon stay extra special. The food was also excellent.

The shower is the family cottage was not working well because of lime scale. The wifi was also not working well in our room although there are 2 different connections.

The hotel is beautiful and the views are amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I forgot my bikini there and they made sure it got back to me in Sanur.

Absolutely loved the location of the resort. It was far off from the busy streets and the villas were very lovely. The staff are incredible and will do anything to make your stay as wonderful as possible. Would recommend if staying in nusa penida.

Location and view amazing. The Cottages have all an amazing view on the ocean. The infinity pool is gorgeous and the staff super kind. We stayed there 3 day and we also used the massage service that was good too. Rooms are clean and made out good quality finishing and materials. All good!

The water of the pool and in the bathroom was full of chlorine and you don't dare to open your eyes because you get a sting itching.

The location is hard to deal with, can’t walk around you need absolutely a taxi or bike to move. A second thing not specific to the hotel but to Nusa Penida , the island is not developed and eating options are very limited and roads are in a bad shape… I think a day trip is a better option for Nusa penida

Probably best choice for staying on Nusa Penida. As the island doesn’t have much to offer, it’s a very undeveloped island, you can spend most of your time in this beautiful hotel with an amazing view, good food and helpful stuff. Strongly recommend this place! 😊

the view from the pool and rooms of the sunrise and sunset is really pretty. the staff are helpful.

the location is up a very high hill so unless you have your own transport, it’s not easy to walk anywhere and you pay a lot in taxis. the facilities weren’t very clean and the stairs in the cottages are quite steep so having the bathroom and your luggage downstairs can be tricky.
