Easy to get to and also very cheap for a 1 night sleep

Very dated only 1 pillow on the bed which was very fin and the bed wasn't the most comfy but what do you expect in Edinburgh the capital city for £150

Rooms were a nice size. Parking at the hotel was reasonable price. Price for breakfast was reasonable, and food was good and help yourself

Coffee machine in the room didn’t work and none of the staff I asked knew how to check it was working, how to use it or show me how to use it.

The inter joining door in room difnt ask for , unfortunatly no slerp till 3 am due to noise comeing through door from next room vonring in 2 am tven talking till 3 could hear converdation vdfy annoying .

Location near Dean Village was excellent. Close enough to Princes Street and Haymarket.

Room doors all closed very noisily which disturbed my sleep.

The breakfast is ok. Great location and near to the main attractions of Edinburg.

The entire facilities are dirty... Need maintenance urgently. The smell in the carpets of the corridor and mainly the ones in the room is almost impossible to bear... The shower was not clean and we ran out of soap gel and was almost impossible to get new refill despite asking for it. The garbage stay for hours outside rooms... No ventilation in the "no window" rooms... I get it's difficult to manage a hotel but some minor improvements like having a cleaning service in base would definitely make the entire experience upgrade.

The location was very good and the shower pressure was great.

It’s very dated and the window had trapped condensation so we couldn’t see outside, the carpet was old and didn’t go all the way to the wall but honestly it was clean and the beds were comfortable so it’s so fine.

Breakfast was thorough and felt like it's a good value. Elevators were fast, I barely waited. Staff was friendly and prompt.

The shower curtain was full of mold. The mattress felt like I was sleeping on a table. I'm almost sure it wasn't a mattress, just a box spring with blankets on it. If you depart early, you will get zero refund for your unused nights.

Pleasant stay, clean quiet and good facilities. Thank you to Damir, I left some luggage, he went out of his way after his shift to post it back to me.

Lyhört både från vägen utanför och rummen intill. Jag kunde höra att de pratade svenska. Ingen ventilation, fönstret låst. Ingen städning (3 nätter). Hade gärna velat att de tömde papperskorgen. Stod i beskrivningen att rummet hade en sittgrupp (plaststol), utsikt (mot en trafikerad väg). Se bilder. Det ligger en bra bit från centrum utan kollektivtrafik. 15 min promenad i uppförsbacke J̌till närmaste hållplats. Hutlöst att jag fått betala över 2000 kr per natt för detta.

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Zimmer war klein, kein gutes Frühstück für Vegetarier oder Veganer vorhanden.

The location was convenient, with easy access to the city centre and a pleasant walk of around 30 minutes. Dean Village is nearby, which made the area feel quite attractive and enjoyable. The breakfast was also good value for money.

We stayed for four nights, from Monday to Friday. The room had no windows, which we were aware of when booking, but what surprised us was the complete lack of ventilation in both the room and the bathroom. After taking a shower, the bathroom became full of steam, and there was no proper air circulation. We were also not given much information at check-in. Nobody explained the housekeeping arrangements, rubbish disposal, breakfast times, or how often the room would be cleaned. The shampoo/shower gel container in the room was empty when we arrived. I reported this to reception and was given a small single-use bottle, and I was told it would be refilled during the day. However, it was never refilled during our stay, despite asking about it. The rubbish was not collected during the whole stay. We later found out from reception that guests are expected to leave rubbish outside the door, but this had not been explained to us at check-in, and there were no spare bin bags in the room. The room was not cleaned at all during our four-night stay, and the bed linen was not changed. When I asked at reception, I was told that cleaning is only done after four days and that this should have been explained at check-in, but it was not.

Slightly run down. There was nowhere to hang damp towels after bath/shower (we ended up using the ironing board). Also only one chair in a family room so nowhere to unpack bags/leave clothes overnight

The location is quite good: the city center is within walking distance. Quiet neighborhood by the river. My room had all necessary facilities. The area with shops and restaurants is a 10-minute walk away. There is also a restaurant in the hotel.

Nothing. The only thing going for the hotel was the location.

Although we knew our room would not have a window, we were extremely disappointed by the room, the alcove for the bed was too small, therefore the space around the bed to walk, let alone have bedside tables, as a result there were also no bedside lights. Very poor for any hotel. Photograph attached. I think, because of its location within the building, the WiFi did not work well. The staff, when approached about what we saw as the problems with the room were indifferent, we spoke to two members, all they could do was provide us with the email address of James Bartram, we will email him separately.

We occupied two rooms. The room we used was DATED! There was nowhere to place the suitcases, nowhere to hang the towels in the bathroom, very little room to hang clothes! Also, breakfast should be extended at least an hour.

El hervidor de la habitación está muy bien ya que puedes tomar una bebida caliente cuando te apetece.

El baño era antiguo. La ventana no se podía abrir ya que tenía llave y en recepción nos dijeron que no nos la podían facilitar. Aunque tenía una leve rendija para ventilar no me parece suficiente, teniendo en cuenta que no hacen limpieza diaria de la habitación. No pudimos ventilar la habitación en los 4 días de estancia.

The online check-in system was useful, as I only needed to collect the keys and register the car on arrival. The tea bags in the room were good quality and plentiful. The staff looked smart and professional.

Location wasn't great, with roadworks taking place roght outside, the parking spaces were narrow and limited, the carpets inside the whole place were awful and it smelt of pets, the room wasn't clean, with stains on the bathroom floor, a dirty toilet, an empty bottle behind the bed, flies in the bathroom, disgusting shower head, awful view of bins from the window, broken window brackets, no complimentary toiletries, old basic TV, ( no streaming services) no wall sockets by the beds, the breakfast plates were tiny, like sideplates so you couldn't really eat a proper cooked breakfast, the coffee making machine was in an entirely different room to the rest of the breakfast buffet, which was annoying, the whole place looked tired and old fashioned and in need of refurbishment. Really disappointing..maximun 2 stars at best.

Es handelte sich ja um eine Hotelkette und da waren unsere Erwartungen schon entsprechend. Man merkte , dass diesem Hotel eine gute,vorbildliche ,umsichtige Führung fehlt. An der Rezeption wurde man erst garnicht angesprochen und und es wurde wichtig am PC getippt. Ein freundliches ‘Hallo, ich bin gleich für sie da.“ wäre schön gewesen. Das fehlte leider bei jedem Kontakt an der Rezeption:-( . Das Hotel machte leider auch einen ungepflegten Eindruck, überall in den Fluren standen halbvertrocknete Pflanzen und in unserem Zimmer konnte man kaum noch aus dem sehr dreckigen Fenster gucken, was vielleicht von Vorteil war, damit man den ganzen Müll auf dem Vordach vor dem Fenster nicht so doll sieht. Das Frühstück war wirklich seeehr minimalistisch , auch wenn es ein Buffet war gab es nur 1 Sorte Käse, 1 Sorte Ham , 1 Sorte Marmelade , harte Pancakes , komische Bratwurst, Fertigrührei und Toast, alles lauwarm. Man weiß ja inzwischen, dass man in Schottland keine großen Erwartungen haben darf, aber hier wurden diese noch unterboten. Kleiner Tipp noch an die Leitung, ein Schild, dass sich der Kaffeeautomat im Nebenraum befindet ,wäre neben dem Teeautomaten wirklich hilfreich, dann bräuchten einen nicht die anderen Gäste darauf hinweisen. Dem großen Frühstücksraum würde auch ein liebevolles „Make over“ gut tun, so gleicht er leider mehr einer Kantine.

Dejan guardar la valija pre check-in y post check-out. No estaba tan lejos de todo, unos 30’ caminando de royal mile y muy cerquita de Dean Village. La presion del agua estaba bien

La cortiña del baño tenia hongos. No hubo ningun tipo de limpieza en la habitacion durante mis 4 dias. Me dieron las toallas nuevas solo porque fui a pedirlo sino 4 dias con la misma. El colchon era el peor de todos los hoteles que fui, con los resortes que se notaban MUCHO. No hay aire acondicionado

Literally, nothing. The staff were so unhelpful and still charged me full price for a room I couldn’t even use.

The customer service. I unable to stay in the accommodation I booked due to the pungent smell in the room and was offered no refund. Extremely recommend you stay literally anywhere else.

Arrived at the property and checked in and payed. Got up to my room and there was a random drunk guy in the room that I was assured was reserved for me. None of the staff could explain what was happening. Then after checking out the next day was bombarded with phone calls saying I hadn’t payed for the room even though I have the transaction confirmation on my banking app. Terrible place

Worst mattress I've slept on. The little sleep I got, I woke up with rib pain from the springs. Add to that, their was a fire exit green light actually in my room so the room was lit up like a christmas tree. Not great.
