It’s cheap and close to city center, the stuff were nice

They don’t have a lockers in the rooms to put the luggage although they put an image of a room that has a lockers. The room was extremely dense and all the stuff of everybody was on the floor and it was really hard not to lose something.

The “pod” were just bunk beds with a curtain rather than a door, like most capsule hotels I’ve stayed at. Distinction lack of privacy.

It was conveniently located for the event I was attending and also for getting to the airport the next morning. Pod was comfortable for me on my own, was handy having the locker right next to the bed. Toilet/shower facilities were clean.

The water on the sink is very slow, the same with the shower. The shower drain is blocked. Shower floor is dirty

Good location for exploring Edinburgh

Cleanliness and facilities were disappointing. Dirty linen, a dirty room with rubbish on the floor, and a grimy-looking kitchen. The bathroom door didn't close properly, the lights stayed on all night, and there was no floor mat or mop after showering. We also received no information about the facilities on arrival. Luggage storage was charged for despite being in an area that did not seem secure. Overall, the location was the main positive.

I liked the bar area and the vanity room. These will really comfy area. The hostel is also in really central location so it really ideal for visiting Edinburgh. I really liked the aesthetic of the hostel and staff were really friendly.

While I knew there was going to be 10 people in female only dorm and have stayed in lots of hostels, the room itself was far too small to accommodate 10 people. We only had one sink, bathroom and shower and the shower the blocked. While the bed was comfortable. I felt like room was far too small to accommodate this number of people and therefore felt cramped. I felt cleanliness was a bit of issue overall, as result of the overcrowding particular in shower area and was in need a good deep clean. Also the fridge in the shared kitchen needs a good deep clean.

I don’t know where the 7.5 rating for this hostel comes from. I slept in a single bed at POD, and the first thing I came across was a bloodstained tissue on the shelf above the bed. The bed linen looked as though it hadn’t been changed. What’s more, it gets terribly stuffy in the POD at night and you can hardly breathe. The bathroom was OK, but some extra shelves or hooks to put things on would have been useful. However, the worst part of the whole hostel was the kitchen. Lots of the appliances weren’t working, it was dirty, and the fridge was crammed full of rotten food. I was afraid to put anything in there.

Unfortunately, I think the current 7.5 rating is a little generous. The hostel was generally quite dirty, especially the bedding, bathroom and kitchen. My bed linen was dirty enough that I chose to sleep in my own sleeping bag. The kitchen was poorly maintained, with several things either dirty or not working. I also had problems with my key card and had to return to reception several times before it was finally replaced. The rooms are spacious but packed with beds, which are very low and can feel uncomfortable or claustrophobic, especially on the lower and middle bunks. On the plus side, the location is quiet and there was hot water. Unfortunately, even at a relatively low price, I don’t think it offers good value for money.

The property needs improvement. No shampoo, no soap in the toilet, pillows not comfortable and being in the middle of a 3 level bunk bed is really a bad experience. Kitchen is dirty. Toilet inside the room is not clean and no rug. There was only one person addressing concerns from guests.

Està molt ben ubicat, no comparteixes habitació amb gaire gent. Els llits tenen cortina i endolls a prop, també hi ha taquilles on guardar les coses. La dutxa molt còmoda.

Si et toca el llit a dalt, les escales per pujar-hi són força incòmodes i difícils de pujar.

It’s good location. Staff has been very good. The girl looking after the property given me a free towel once she got to know that I don’t have a duet on my bed. Excellent and nice staff.

I lost my trouser during the stay. I would recommend if there will be lockers in side the room that will be good. The facility is not as shown in the pictures

I liked the pod as the mattress was v conformable and it deadened the sounds in the room

Las vibras del lugar son muy raras, la cocina es mejor que la cierren porque no funciona como tal, no tienen nada para poder comer ni cocinar, no hay un espacio donde puedas comer y sentirte comodo. No volveria a hospedarme ya que no es un lugar donde te sientas seguro.

Good hostel.

La ubicación está bien y la zona común del bar. Buenos precios para los que hay fuera. Las camas tienen cargador USB de distintos tipos y una luz muy agradable. La cortina es genial aunque algo corta y hay que ponerle una toalla o chaqueta para tener mayor privacidad.

La higiene del sitio deja mucho que desear. El baño sucísimo, cuando entré la primera vez, en la ducha había un pelo. Cuando volví a entrar ese pelo parecía haber llamado a otros pelos de distintas procedencias. Al día siguiente ese pelo ya era toda una sociedad acompañada de suciedad varia. Después de dos días, esa cantidad de pelo se había apoderado del baño y creo que ya formará parte del decorado del lugar. En la cocina, pasa algo similar con las manchas de grasa, incrustadas en los muebles. Creo que esa cocina la última vez que estuvo limpia fue el primer día que se abrió. Por no hablar de las cosas que estaban dentro de la nevera que por poco me hablan. Una revisión de vez en cuando a la nevera, no estaría mal. Algunos de los electrodomésticos estaban fuera de servicio. Por otro lado, las camas son muy blandas y notas todos los muelles, por lo que no es muy agradable.

Everything was perfect to be honest

Check-in was quick and easy, although when I found my bed someone else was laying there. The staff sorted it out quickly and got me new sheets. Overally the employees were very helpful. It's a 15 minute walk from Princess Street, but the location isn't crowded. The bed could be covered completely, providing privacy (it wasn't 100%, one could see through the curtain, but it did provide a sense of privacy). The toilets and showers were clean.

While the bedsheets were clean, the shelf in the sleeping pod was dusty. Floor under the bed wasn't clean either, being covered by dust. Other than those two places, it was clean. The shower had weak pressure, and water leaked through the shower door.

The staff is very nice and the building is cute and in a good location. The kitchen was very clean and the common area was nice.

The mattress needs to be replaced, the metal springs were digging into my back. The bathroom was not cleaned regularly and the shower was clogged with hair the entire time I was there. I don’t think they have a cleaning crew and instead just have the staff (who are very nice btw) do everything which is insane. They need to hire more people to help handle the work load.

Fantastic stay at revolver! A Grand old building with a modern unique vibe! Quiet relaxed open space seating and bar with good prices for Edinburgh. Large open window view. A Good location in a quiet area close to all amenities and easy stroll to shops and all tourist attractions. I Look forward to staying next time in Edinburgh. The staff are friendly thanks for your hospitality! Very Impressive!

Me gustó que la cama era cómoda y la ubicación es genial. Sobre todo para moverte desde o hacia el aeropuerto.

Los cuartos tienen locker con keypad (panel numérico) lo cual cada vez q alguien llega de noche y necesita algo te taladra la cabeza el sonido. Me parece una pésima idea q estén d entro del cuarto y no te dejan descansar.

The people and the filth

The highlights of my stay were definitely the hotel's location and the surrounding neighborhood, which were perfect for exploring. I also loved hanging out in the bar area. As for the room, the bunk bed was excellent, exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and located in a quiet spot that made it easy to get a good night's rest.

My stay had a few drawbacks regarding cleanliness and basic amenities. The kitchen area was unclean and needed attention. Additionally, the soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower were consistently empty throughout my stay, which made it inconvenient. With better attention to housekeeping and restocking essentials, this place has a lot of potential.

Struttura con un grande potenziale e staff molto volenteroso. Zona comoda per i mezzi abbastanza vicino al centro e pub.

Terzo piano senza ascensore nonostante la struttura non fosse piena. Nonostante avessi chiesto con largo anticipo un letto basso, quando siamo arrivati il letto non era disponibile e per averlo abbiamo dovuto separarci in due camere diverse. Spazio minimo in camera e nessun controllo e gestione di nessun genere. Pulizia nettamente da rivedere.

non mi è piaciuto il serivzio di check in, avevo il volo in arrivo la notte che portava inoltre un ritardo, ho soggiornato qui per la vicinanza con l'aeroporto. Ho comunicato l'orario di arrivo e mi è stato detto che a quell'ora non era previsto il check in e che avrei dovuto pagare un extra costo per l'orario quell'ora... Fino al mio arrivo nella struttura non sapevo a cosa sarei andata incontro. Fortunatamente non ho avuto grossi problemi una volta arrivata e non mi hanno fatto pagare l'extra costo, ma non ero certo tranquilla.

Konumu benim için çok iyiydi. Üst ranzada kalmak benim için zordu çünkü merdiven ile yukarı çıkmak konforlu değildi bir de giyinme odası olsaydı çok daha sevinirdim. Ama bu şartlar altında da yine de sevdim.

The bed was slept in and not made. The shower was not draining and the staff did not help. They did my laundry for 6 pounds but they came out mixed colors and stuffed in a black garbage bag on the floor. Try someplace else if you can.

Es stehen immer 3 Betten übereinander. Ich hatte das mittlere und wirklich Probleme, über die "Leiter" die Liegefläche zu erreichen. Ich hatte Glück, das ich nur 1 Nacht da war und nachts nicht aufstehen musste.

Staff molto gentile, accogliente e disponibile per qualsiasi problema o necessità. Carinissima la zona della reception con poltrone e divani per potersi rilassare, inoltre è presente anche un piccolo bar dove poter bere qualcosa e socializzare. In stanza ognuno ha il proprio locker dove riporre zaino ect. Non amo il letto a castello però devo dire che il materasso era assai comodo. Avevo i miei detergenti personali, ma ho gradito che comunque in bagno fossero disponibili sia il sapone per le mani, sia per corpo e capelli.

Lovely location architecturally and not far from Haymarket. Beautiful old building with a stylish common area and bar. Well decorated but be prepared for stairs. Room looked good and the bathroom was well appointed.

The three tier bunks aren't comfortable. You can't sit up in bed and I was constantly hitting my head. The mattress wasn't comfortable so I slept on top of the duvet. The room was a good temperature but for some reason my neighbour had some kind of fan unit going all night, right by my head. So remember ear plugs!

La habitación que nos asignaron era amplia, la cama un poco cuadrada pero cómoda. Contar con locker propio y servicio de guarda del equipaje fueron de gran ayuda. Sin dudas lo mejor del hostel es su ubicación.

Hubo un solo detalle: el grifo de agua caliente de la ducha. Al menos en la habitación que nos tocó, no había agua caliente en la ducha.
