Such a phenomenal staff and great environment to be highly recommended to anyone staying in the area! From checking in with Andrea, who made sure we had everything we needed to the from desk ladies Ella & (sorry forgot the other lovely gal ) who made our stay so nice, as well as even helped plan out our daily day trips ! I cannot stress how above & beyond they go! Thank you for a phenomenal welcome to Ireland
Breakfast during the week starts at 7:00. For some reason weekends are at 8:00. Had a stair leading into the narrow tub/shower. Food was very good. Nice variety. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Loved the location!
Very pleasant helpful staff.
For the most part staff was good. There seems to be an issue with Americans. Some staff were nice but clearly some didn’t want to help or were annoyed. First time in Ireland so maybe this is normal. It wasn’t so bad that I wouldn’t go back. Food was great and a 15min walk to the dart(train) and a 30minute train ride to down town Dublin is great! Runs every 15min till 2330.
Great hotel!
The staff was very helpful with places to see for great views and food selections.
The only minus I can say is that the pool hours for family are hard to access. We wished we could have enjoyed the pool more.
Beautiful hotel close to dining options and transportation. The rooms were spacious, and the staff was very polite and helpful!
Wonderful hotel with amazing staff. My husband is disabled and they did everything to help our amazing experience
This is a very beautiful and clean hotel in a super nice area! Also has amazing restaurants on site and is walking distance to a park with amazing views! Our room was lovely and very comfortable.
Great hospitality
the hotel is really run down, my bathroom reeked of mold, sheets were itchy, and the bathrooms off the main lobby were disgusting. On the good side, the food in the Dungeon was good and the in-room coffee was very good. And the proximity to great walks was unmatched. But the good doesn't outweigh the bad for me and I won's go back.
Everything about the
I was upgraded to a beautiful room.
Bad experience in restaurant. Servicing of room not great.
Really enjoyed our time
It was not good. As I did not stay there and I cancelled my stay. And they still called and text and email me about my up coming stay. Not sure what is going on. I hope it can be resolved soon
Enjoyed the space, the bar, the surroundings, the staff.
I was nervous booking this space as I am 17 weeks pregnant and gluten free. The staff was beyond accommodating and kind. The village just twenty minutes walk from the hotel is stunning and the hiking in the area is easy and breathtaking. We will definitely be returning when our daughter arrives!
No complaints. Only minor issue was heat of hot tub.
Hotel and staff were excellent and the grounds beautiful.
Comfortable stay, excellent breakfast!!
We had been traveling all day and exhausted, check in was super easy, staff really nice and the room was clean and comfortable! Would stay here again!
The hotel was great and the staff was very helpful! All of thr amenities were good. My kids loved the woodstove pizzas annd pool.
This place is very well taken care of for an old building. We love it and will stay again!!
Very nice hotel, had a great experience staying there.
Staff was great. Beautiful area. Bus stop nearby. Highly recommend
I cannot speak highly enough of my stay at the Fitzpatrick. I felt like I was in heaven on earth for the entire week. I cannot wait to return and share this special place with my family. Thank you so much to all of the wonderful staff who make the place feel like home. I’ll see you next summer!
The staff went out of their way to meet all of our needs. It was a lovely experience.
The property was very nice. The staff was helpful, the bar charming, the beds comfortable, and the fitness center had everything we needed
The grounds and hotel common areas were well renovated to feel like you were truly staying in a castle. The staff were all friendly.
This was a fantastic place to stay for us while we explored Dublin. It’s a bit out of town which made it quiet but accessing it through public transit was easy enough. The village of Dalkey nearby was also great to explore. The staff were friendly and the amenities were great. Lots of food options at the hotel itself and pricing was reasonable and on par with other nearby options. We found this place more by accident rather than searching for it and were very happy with the outcome. Only downside was no AC but it also wasn’t needed given location and climate. Our 4 night stay was great and the room was huge with super comfy beds.
We loved our stay so much that we added on an extra night! Everything was great!
Fitzpatricks outdoes itself every time we stay, this was no exception!
Charming, nice rooms, tons of facilities, wonderful staff and a great breakfast. :-)
Hotels initially feels tired but as you enjoy the surroundings you soon realise it’s rustic charm. It’s been beautifully looked after particularly the dungeon bar. Grounds gorgeous & terrace a hit in the sun!
Beautiful facility. Great service. Helpful staff. The bartender at the Dungeon Bar was extremely friendly and helpful!
Meal in restaurant was great and staff very accomofating
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great breakfast
Beautiful property. Rooms were spacious. Comfortable beds. Very quiet and serene. Also had several dining options - we ate outside at their pizza/cocktail area, which was a lot of fun.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Decor is a little dated as is some of the room furniture. Had lunch in the lobby and this was great, you certainly wouldn't go hungry! Breakfast buffet was pretty good, only issue I had was that the eggs (Scrambled / Fried) were both well over cooked. Although to be fare that could just have been timing as it was the end of the both of those dishes, and they were getting ready to replenish them. I would certainly stay thier again.
The castle was lovely and was easy to navigate to. The location was safe. The trails around the castle were nice to walk. Breakfast was delicious.
Staff were awesome.
Lovely old castle. Caters to large Groups. Excellent concierge service. Really Nice breakfast.
Good
The hotel is very good however I parked my electric car in one of the hotels charging bays overnight and I was charged 410€ for the privilege. This is not the hotel who charged me but the charger. I think the hotel needs to prominently display a warning about this. It sours my perception of the hotel.
Property requires maintenance inside the building. The gardens are beautiful, staff pleasant but hotel really requires a good clean
Great Hotel, staff was friendly and helpful, especially Ciara.
It was wonderful. All was nicely organised and the staff very friendly and welcoming. I wasn’t very impressed with the swimming pool arrangements although understandable the reason for timings.
Rooms were comfortable, plenty of parking, a town within walking distance, bar for evening drinks
Was good....expected a little more history information. The rooms were clean but need updating, beds were comfy. Disappointed that what I paid on Expedia was a lot more than what the rooms were if booked through the hotel.
The staff were so kind and helpful. My room was beautiful.Clean and bright. The bed was so comfortable and I had room service as I had had a long day travelling. The food was great. I’d advise anyone to go and I will be back.
Wonderful, the breakfast was amazing!!! Also dinner and snacks options were very good ! Staff was very friendly. The only down side is having to walk to Dart, it’s a little far and uphill walk back specially with small kids was hard. I would recommend the hotel though !
Staff were lovely and very helpful xx Bed was so comfortable, room was spacious and bright
Grata hotel and staff!
Beautiful property. Rooms were clean and cozy, beds were comy. The staff was excellent! They were friendly and seemed genuinely happy to help with anything we needed at all.
This was a wonderful stay. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the grounds are gorgeous, and the staff could have not been more lovely. I highly recommend this hotel. It is close to Dublin but far enough way to feel away from the city. The charming little village of Dulkey is right up the road as is Killiney Hill- both highly recommended as well!
Beautiful location, very friendly staff. Really enjoyed our stay here Very yummy breakfast!
Only 20minbwalk from the train station, area around the hotel is stunning. Rooms are very clean & beds comfortable. Staff very helpful.
From the weekend pizza to the afternoon tea all of the food as well as banquet food. All of the food in the hotel was awesome. The staff was super friendly and very helpful and any question that we had I would definitely recommend and return to Fitzpatrick Caso Hotel.
We liked our large comfortable room. It was serviced every day. The grounds were gorgeous. Front desk staff very helpful. Breakfast was great served in a lovely environment and John the breakfast concierge was wonderful. He gave us excellent service and kept things running smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. What could have been better was the service in the tea lounge. It was erratic and not attentive. We had to wait 30 minutes after ordering a scone and had to ask for it. Wait staff was running all over and no follow through. Food was served lukewarm. My husband ordered a 39 euro steak in the restaurant and it was served without any vegetables, just fries. We didn't eat there after that. We loved the hotel and enjoyed the hot tub and steam area. That area could have been cleaner. The slippery tiles were dangerous. Non slip tiles would be safer. We will be back as on the whole we loved our stay with you.
Beautiful building in a setting nearnthe Sea and the gorgeous little town of Dalkey which is an easy 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Clean rooms and friendly staff.
Really good and friendly service.
Great unique staying location outside Dublin
Excellent family hotel with a very personal feel. Nice rooms and good restaurant. Breakfast was excellent, as was spa area. One area to improve would be external maintenance particularly the balcony area which had a significant leak. Otherwise all good!
The staff was so kind and helpful and the rooms and beds were so comfortable and clean. There were several food options in the property and we were in no lose distance to Delkey and Dublin City. Would definitely stay again.
Hotel is a convenient location for train ride to Dublin, walk into Dalkey for restaurants, hike in the gardens, and drives to historical sites.
It has all the amenities and service was excellent.
Wonderful location , excellent tasty food, caring staff , leisure facility where everything worked .
Staff very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and the bathroom was large too. We would stay here again.
Excellent price for what we got! Beautiful room great food , I’ll stay here again thank u
It was a wonderful place and great location.
The majority of the place was amazing. The restaurant at the bottom, Mappas, was not. The food was ok, but a lot of times when we ordered room service it was cold. When we went to the restaurant we weren’t even offered water without having to ask for it. That part has room for improvement. Everything else about the hotel was pretty amazing.
Very nice stay - great bar. Welcoming staff!!
Great service
Fabulous location, hotel is magnificent with all the details. Staff friendly and professional. Breakfast was excellent. 100% will be back
The castle was beautiful
This places has a spot in my heart
Lots of charm. More toilets needed downstairs. Staff not well trained
Incredible stay. There is absolutely nothing we could complain about. Great room with amazing views of Dublin, great food, great overall facilities, excellent service. Will definitely go back.
Lovely stay. Great sized room and bathroom. Pool was great for kids.
Staff, facilities, food and ambiance were perfect and hospitable.
Will definitely come back here if I return to Ireland.
This hotel totally underrates its self. Its own website dosnt do it justice. A beautiful building inside and out . Many various beatfull bars and restaurants and sitting areas . Our personal favourite is the dungeon bar restaurant. Everywhere very tastefully decorated . Sauna and steam rooms exceptional. Lovely outdoor areas for spring summertime. Staff very frienfly very helpful. Especially Oisin in the spa. Anna dungeons bar Caira receptionist and karl reception team i think also . A very professional exceptional team. Food 5 star and fast . Breafast one of the best in Ireland 🇮🇪. WE WILL BE BACK
Nice renovated rooms. Spacious. Service was very polite and friendly but kept forgetting items in the order or had to follow up multiple times on requests. Heat in the room was really good. Breakfast was basic. Not worth the price I think. But the waitstaff was very courteous and friendly
Very helpful and kind staff.
The staff were incredibly helpful & accommodating to us. The hotel was comfortable & made us feel at home.
Prefect for family weekend away
Fine
Beautiful hotel
Beautiful property. Always professional and courteous!

Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel was a dream stay! For starters the parking lot is extremely big, and has ample space for parking. Then on to the interior which was beautifully decorated. The concierge was welcoming, friendly and informative. The hotel rooms were extremely spacious and clean, perfect for our family of four. The restaurant was high quality and high class. The pool was the perfect temperature and very big. We enjoyed everything about our stay!!! It definitely felt like home away from home. The little center of Dalkey, nearby, had everything you need, from a small grocery to some great restaurants. Try DeVille’s and the Coliemore, you won’t be disappointed. If I only had one negative comment, it was a bit of a drive from Dublin city center and due to speed bumps in the area you had to drive slower. We did a lot in Dublin, so make sure you leave with ample time to get there. I must say though, this can also be a positive for those looking to rest and relax. It was a very safe and quiet area. Would definitely recommend.
We got in from our tour late one night without eating and the restaurants were closed. They sent us up some Ham and Cheese toasties and chips. They were delicious.
Very lovely staff , we arrived from the airport 7hrs early than check in , the staff was able to accommodate us with a room in 30mins , lovely surroundings and good warm and spacious rooms
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fitzpatrick Castle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good facilities in our room. The tv has Netflix so you can log on with your account details. There is an excellent variety at breakfast. If you intend to use the pool you will need to wear a swimming cap. You must wear a swimming cap in a public pools including hotels. They do sell them at the hotel. I would highly recommend Fitzpatrick’s.
Stayed in a beautiful suite with a balcony, fantastic views of Dublin bay. Ate in The Dungeon, food was good, service was slow but they appeared to be short staffed. Would definitely come back again
Great feel at the hotel and staff
