The variety of the plates was something really special!! All the nutritional needs and the preferences could be covered in the breakfast area! I will forever remember the breakfast that I ate in this hotel!
The room was big but old and not clean enough.

Chambre sale ! 1h pour changer de chambre qui était elle aussi sale que celle proposé en échange ! À notre arrivée les toilettes étaient sales, ils n’avaient pas passé l’aspirateur, et le couvre lit était taché de toutes part. Sans parler de l’eau qui ne s’écoule pas dans la douche. Ne parlons même pas du besoin de rénovation sur l’ensemble des chambres, l’hôtel est vétuste. Dernier point, la piscine. L’écriteau expliquant comment l’on doit se baigner est la ponctuation pour dire aux occidentaux qu’ils ne sont pas là bienvenue dans cet hôtel ! Pas le droit d’être torse nu pour les hommes, et pour les femmes je ne pense même pas qu’elles aient le droit de montrer leur visage. Pas de transats cela va de soi. Pas d’hygiène non plus. Enfin, l’hôtel n’est pas capable de donner des informations fiables concernant les transferts depuis la ville, nous avons fait, sur leur conseil 45 min dans un taxi réservé par leurs soins (à l’image de l’hôtel sale aussi et sans clim) pour rejoindre un port dont ne partait même pas de bateau alors qu’il y en avait un à 5 min de l’hôtel. Ils nous ont assuré que non… j’appelle ça de l’arnaque. Communication difficile, anglais limité.

Zum zweiten Mal auf der Ost Küste haben wir erlebt, dass eine Unterkunft islamistische Regelungen hat, aber bei Booking nichts davon angegeben wird. In den Pool darf man nur voll bedeckt ( auch als Mann!)… von daher durften wir ihn nicht nutzen. Im Restaurant wird kein Alkohol verkauft .. man darf nicht mal Alkohol im eigenen Zimmer konsumieren!

I got call around 2 pm from paya bunga hotel that their hotel currently have issues with air conditioning and tv channel .so as counter measure they book my reservation to primula beach resort. Its kinda wierd why suddenly paya bunga have issues with air conditioning while certain floor only affected. It does not make sense. While my booking are transfer to primula beach resort and they paid it all. My experience with primula are very bad. My check in got delayed and we only can have the room at 6 pm. The hotel have only one lift that are working that need to cater for the whole hotel. Imagine this at peak hour, which is really stressfull. Im really disapointed .

Reviewed Jun 4, 2026I recently stayed at Paya Bunga Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. One of the best parts was the beautiful view overlooking the whole city of Kuala Terengganu. The food was delicious as well — everything was well-seasoned and full of flavor. I also appreciated the bellboy service, as they kindly helped carry our luggage to the room. The staff responded very quickly when I requested an extra bed, which made the stay even more convenient. Towels were also provided at the swimming pool, so guests do not need to bring their own. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

Ein sehr in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit abgewohnten, sehr hellhörigen Zimmern, veraltetem Bad (mit verstopftem Dusch-Abfluss), wenig komfortablen Betten, laute, wenig wirksame Klimaanlage. Der Speiseraum wirkt nicht sehr einladend, die Frühstücksauswahl bietet für westlichen Geschmack fast nichts, es gab nicht einmal Teebeutel! Bei der Ankunft war ein Gepäckservice nirgends zu entdecken.
