Holiday Inn Express Yinchuan Downtown by IHG

We arrived at the hotel a day late due to our flight being cancelled the night before. I advised the hotel and they said ok, but when we arrived they tried to charge us more as they said we had to change dates. I tried contacting bookings but they responded the day after which was not helpful so in the end I had to pay for a night stay for nothing. Or they would have charged me even more.

Breakfast is terrible not western at all as per advertising.

Amei tudo! Muito confortável e bem espaçoso. Super limpo com café da manhã delicioso!!!

The room is clean and big. There is free laundry and free breakfast. The staff are nice and polite.

The is no fridge. The room is a little bit warm without turning on the air conditioning.

Comfortable hotel with a good, Chinese orientated breakfast. Excellent value. Great views of the Helan mountains!

No fridge or mini bar in the room. My room had a slight smell of stale tobacco. Other rooms were cleaner. My bad for not asking them to change the room I guess.

Molt amables, habitació gran i neta i esmorzar molt bo.

Wonderful Breakfast, laundry, room service

Someone cigaretted, make a strong smell of 🚬. This would risk other people's health.

Very nice. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good.

window view was blocked it would be nice a microwave oven was provided

The property is extremely well maintained Staff are very polite and helpful to foreigners like me

A few more delicacies may be added for vegetarian diet

The shower was great, with very good water pressure. Beds were very comfortable. Good supermarket right next door. Free washing machine service and other nice finishing touches.

The room was very spacious, but there was a total lack of drawers or cabinets to put your clothing and other things in. During our four-night stay, we had to keep our belongings in our suitcases. There was a small open space with four clothing hangers, but that was it. This was very strange because there was more than enough room. The hotel's slogan is 'Expect the Unexpected,' but in this case, it was more like 'Don't expect the expected'. The location has its pros and cons. It's near a major traffic artery, so you can get to remote places relatively quickly (and Yinchuan is a very spread-out place). But there are no restaurants in the area, and in hindsight, we might have been better off with a hotel in the city centre. Breakfast was so-so ... there's a lot of choice but the quality of anything is rather average (and the sweetened yogurt just plain awful). Some of the staff, especially the guy making noodles, looked like they'd rather stayed in bed ...

Quite connected position, polite staff, clean rooms.

No restaurants available close by

The breakfast was good and they brought it to me via room service which I very much appreciated even it is their new policy. The location of the hotel was conveniently close to attractions and amenities.

Having only stayed there for one night I can't possibly comment on something I didn't like there. It was a pleasant hotel stay and I would stay there again.
