Amazing staff

Very clean

Was charged for mutilple orders or food/drinks/large tip I never ordered. Had to call 3x to get my refund.

Clean, close to duke hospital, breakfast was good!

Air conditioner leaked on floor between bedroom and bathroom, shower area was really tight, mirror magnification was a joke way too small to be of use! Was charged for parking my car in the lot!

Location was great, about 7 mins from Duke Medical. Quiet. Very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Property charges for parking. Most hotels in the area even better quality hotel do not charge parking fees. The bedding wasn’t clean. The sheets smelled. The room also was not cleaned when requested. I also found front desk people do not care at all. Just mechanically do their job

There were two cockroaches in our bathroom. They charged for the parking, which seemed ridiculous. It was just a surface lot with no special protection. The pull out couch smelled.

Location

Reserved king junior suite and wound up being same room 200 as prior visit and the epoxy smell was still there and strong. No other suites available. Room I was given 407 and had no iron, ironing board sticky, phone didn’t work and closet door covered slats covered in grime and dust. Walls had obvious stains. Placards on desk where dusty and sticky. I was given a lesser room which was not a comprable swap. The hotel was booked-big wedding and I understand that, it happens. Staff was kind and did their best

Bathroom is tiny, and no towel bar or even a hook on back of the door, no vent fan.

I didn’t like the property

The property is misleading due to their star rating. The Hotel is not up-to-date and the property manager does not take proper care of the property. I had to get my room switched to a renovated room due to the room not being livable standards. when I evaluated the room, the baseboards and celing were peeling. I immediately left the room and complained to the front desk staff. I got transferred to a second room with the plumbing was not working properly and they did not have any on-site staff to help with the issue. I was given a plunger by security to use the plunger for myself. The plunger was a cheap plunger and was not able to be effective. When I asked to change rooms due to the issue, I was told that I cannot see the room before going to it and either can move to another room or use the restroom in the hallway. I was so dissatisfied with my one-day stay. Also, I was on the first floor and the hotel room doors did not go all the way down so you can see under the door in your hotel room to the outside of the hallway, which I was concerned of any pest coming in. I couldn't sleep at all in the hotel that night. I was grateful it was only for a couple of hours so I could check out. No customer should have to go through this type of conditions when sleeping at a hotel. I immediately spoke to the front desk personnel when checking out in the morning and try to speak to a supervisor. The supervisors never made contact with me. I was issued a refund for my $8.00 parking by the front desk staff member. I called Customer Service and Customer Service contacted the hotel and there was nothing that was done to rectify the issue. Customer Service told me that the hotel stated they tried to offer me a free breakfast, which definitely wasn't the truth. Even if a breakfast was offered, I would not have accepted it. I would have wanted to be compensated for the many times I had to use the plunger during my stay at the hotel.

Amenities were nice rooms comfortable

My truck was vandalized the first night security didn’t catch them and I was left to pay the deductible! There was no microwaves In the rooms.

Clean comfortable room, soft bed, near lots of places for dinner. The front desk guy was obviously irritated with other staff but was able to laugh it off and was very kind and helpful.

The elevator requires your key card and doesn't work very well.

This is my favorite hotel to stay in when in Durham. It is exceptionally clean, the staff are very professional, and the rooms are very nicely appointed. Very good value for the price!

There is nothing that I dislike about this property, I have only good things to say about it.

First, I was placed in a handicap room, and I am not handicapped! There was a foul, musty smell in the room, even the carpet was damp. The bathroom was covered with mildew. The entire room was dirty, and unkept. The floor was covered with food remnants, not to mention roaches. The ceiling vent was loose. It could have fallen on me. I complained but I was told the cleaning service would “ freshen up,” the room. Well, they never arrived. After midnight, I slipped on the wet floor, and fractured my elbow. I was finally moved to another room, but the toilet ran all night, and more roaches. The room was also unkept and dirty. I was never compensated for this entire ordeal, and I am a Hilton Honers member. I will NEVER return to this hotel again!

Great room! King Alcove suite had two tvs and allowed for all four us to have space. Room and hotel were clean, the staff was so kind and helpful!

The location

The property is very old and needs to be updated. Our toilet seat was cracked, and it seems to have been painted. The AC was broken and was on full blast the entire time, there was a washcloth over the air vent when we arrived, therefore, we know that the maid service couldn’t have gone into the room.

Amount of space and the bed was comfortable

I had to check out prior to having any breakfast. I can not comment on that, however; im sure it was great ! Staff were friendly, accomodating, and the room was clean

Rooms were a little dated. Alarm clock didnt work, so we used our phones. Wake up call was supposed to ensure fail safe mode in case alarm clock didnt work. Unfortunately, that didnt happen either.

This is a beautiful and comfortable hotel. Traveling with My goldendoodle to Florida. While checking out, Immaculate was assisting me. She is lovely, joyful, and caring. When she inquired about my journey, I explained that I was traveling to my mom's funeral. I received a caring hug and words of condolence. These were not routine words; Immaculate was very genuine. Her words were those of an incredibly sensitive, insightful, and intelligent person. Thank you, Immaculate! Your employer is blessed to have someone like you representing the hotel!

Very friendly staff. Spacious and comfortable roo. Excellent breakfast. Shuttle service to Duke Eye Center was a great help.

Bathroom is tiny for such a spacious room.

Very good, but the internet access was a pain to connect to (had to call the service number to manually connect!), and the shuttle isn’t available during the weekends. We were visiting my sick father and the shuttle was the main thing that we got this hotel for. Please make the shuttle available on the weekends! Though, the service was amazing. Our room was clean each time we came back, the pool was absolutely wonderful, the room service was perfect, and the workers were so kind and thoughtful. The hotel is very cute too, very nicely decorated and the restaurant is very good too. Overall a wonderful experience!!

One of the keys was having issues, there was always a line at the reception to have it fixed, there was an apparent leak in the ceiling that still needed some cosmetic retouching

We stayed at the Hilton while in Durham visiting the Preforming Arts Center. It was a short 10 min drive. The rooms were neat and clean. Well organized and the layout was great. The staff was so welcoming and friendly!! The nicest lady checked us in and assisted us with all of our needs. Will stay here everytime I’m in town.

I liked that the hotel was very convenient from my dr visit at Duke care facility. We had a very quiet nice considering we traveled 3 hours to get there for my pulmonary dr appointment on Monday Morning at 7:45 am

There were no face clothes in the room to use. Even tho we’re 2 of us there was only hand towels and bath towels available

Front desk staff person went out of her way to be sure we got rooms close to each other, ended up with adjoining rooms! Food and service great!

Awesome experience across the board. The receptionist was extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly which for me gave a very good first impression! Rooms were clean and breakfast was very good. The cost of our room was surprisingly affordable. We were very pleased with our experience.

Charged 8.00 to park in a normal parking lot. I placed reservation over month in advance and king wasn’t available. Room key didn’t work and I’m on oxygen. Desk clerk did come up. Took 2 clerks to explain why my wi-fi wasn’t working

Hilton is generally not a good value . Most properties, including this one have rooms that are no better than Hampton Inn, $3.00 for a bottle of water in your room, $20 per person for a so so breakfast. Hampton is a better bargain. Add in $8.00 for parking in a suburban non valet parking lot that they refer to as a “nominal” charge. I made this stay because the rate on Booking.com was $20 cheaper than the best rate on the Hilton site.

We actually were advised that we would be refunded, even though we booked through Booking.com and paid it through one of our cards and they have not refunded the money and we are Hilton Honors. It’s just kind of sad my husband traveled everywhere.

We had a wonderful trip thanks to Adrienne, Sierra and Immaculate at the front desk! The hotel is clean, modern and welcoming. The shuttle to Duke Hospital saved us time, money and aggravation! We enjoyed the convenience of eating our dinner in the downstairs restaurant. Overall, a great place to stay!

Just a quick stop as we were on our way to Virginia Beach. We’re from Phoenix and always try to stay at Hiltons. We both loved the bed. Would stay there again

I know it's very popular but as a old.school person l dislike the ideal that a dog or other pet may have slept in the bed that l slept in. I don't agree or like pet friendly hotels. My thougbts.

Lynette, Immaculate and Mary at the front desk are warm, friendly and very attentive. Try the bar/ food and seek out Ravon and Julian!

The total staff is awesome the front desk staff is spot on especially Serena the rooms are spotless the grounds are well maintained and it seems management is very hands on great stay and certainly will return doing some things at Duke medical this is the place to stay
