The room was super comfortable, the bathroom was spacious with all amenities, and the view was beautiful. The people in charge of the place are exceptional from the moment you arrive until you leave, and the breakfast is delicious and healthy.

The road to get there is a bit rough because it's a dirt road, so it's best to go by SUV or truck.

We’ve stayed at Santulan several times. Communication prior to check in is good. We are always greeted warmly. Breakfast service is cheerful and professional and the food is delicious. I always take advantage of the yoga room. It’s a short walk to wine tasting at Vena Cava or an outdoor glass of wine (beer too) with some innovative food at Trioka

Beautiful grounds. Birid(?) greeted us and showed us around the property. She and staff are very friendly and breakfast was yummy.

This was our second time staying at Santulan, and just like the first time, we had a lovely stay. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful. The home cooked breakfast is delicious. The rooms (with under floor heating) are comfortable and the balcony where you can sit with a glass of wine on the Adirondack chairs is perfect after a day of wine tasting in the area.

Beautiful Architecture and wonderful freindly staff. The place is yogi inspired sanctuary. However, to me it was high elevated hotel experience with a touch of Mexico. Breakfast included and in a secured gated campus

The eco design details, the heated floors in February were such a nice touch, the bed was super comfy, the staff was incredible. It’s located next door to one of our favorite vineyards too so we will be back!

We loved everything. The only thing we noticed was a little water damage in the meditation dome but understandable with all the rain!

My partner and I had an amazing time at Santulan. The staff was super helpful and friendly. When we were looking for a place to get a couple's massage, they called around for places that had availability for us. I can't wait to visit again.

Location and setting

Some differed maintenance around the grounds and in the yoga room. Yoga room floor is way too hard for yoga with one mat need 2-3 for comfortable knees.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful B&B. The minimalistic architecture is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and fully equipped. My favorite part was the heated floors. We travelled to relax and recharge and Santulan had the perfect setting from a home-cooked breakfast in the morning, to the yoga classes and the unique meditation dome. Conveniently located in the heart of Valle and close to all the great restaurants and wineries. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. Can't wait to go back!

It is a wonderful place to stay. Each room is plenty spacious and has all you'll need. The views are great, the resort is comfortable, and the staff is excellent! Breakfast was very nice and homemade. We were a group of 10 and it was a great fit for us so each couple could have their our own room but then we could gather in the common areas, rooftop deck, etc.

A large group isn't typical so it's a lot to ask but we would have liked more outdoor seating so we could all sit outside together. And if you're going to VdG, then you know that there are a lot of dirt roads that are tough to travel....

Santulan is a gorgeous and thoughtful property. Lots of attention to detail. The breakfast each morning was an incredible addition. We loved the view from the roof. We will definitely recommend it to other friends and will return when we come back to Valle.

Gracious hostesses, excellent breakfast, comfortable room/bed, well maintained foliage and garden. A relaxing place. The yoga room is nice but stuffy. Summer afternoons are typically hot in El Valle but the yoga room was hotter than the outside in the cool of the morning and evening. It’d be helpful if the glass doors overlooking the lovely area could be unlocked to permit airflow.

Design! Room and bathroom were modern and had beautiful views.

We had the most wonderful stay at Santulan! My partner and I were remote working for the week and the hosts organised a table for us in our room to work from, and made us feel very comfortable. The breakfasts were AMAZING! I would highly recommend them and return in the future.

We had a wonderful experience staying here and were blown away with how beautiful the property and architecture is. The staff and breakfast were also great. Wish we had more time to take advantage of the yoga classes they offer.

The road to the property was stressful and difficult. You must have 4 wheel drive to get to the property.

FACILITIES: The facilities were great from the bedrooms, the walking areas, kitchen/shared living room space - they were beautifully designed, very comfortable and clean. Plus the views from the bedrooms are incredible. BREAKFAST: The breakfast was delicious. STAFF: The staff was really helpful and attentive

This is not really a reflection on Santulan but rather the entire Valle de Guadualupe but the roads are pretty rough especially when it rains. Going anywhere in Valle, you will go through dirt roads and there were a lot of mud puddles, so driving anywhere was a bit stressful because we were worried, we were going to get stuck in the mud (and of course on our last night, we did! but luckily, we managed to get out). If I were to go again, I wouldn't go to Valle during the rainy season and/or drive a big SUV or Truck.

The design of this location is beautiful, very well integrated with the natural landscape. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We love the shared communal spaces -we used them all (yoga, meditation, drinks in the lounge). We also loved little Frankie (pug dog of staff). The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were great and the heated floors perfect for the chilly March desert weather.

This isn't specific to the hotel, but the area - the roads! They are always rough roads, but with the recent weather the cracks were deeper than usual and there were pools of water that were disconcerting to drive through.

I loved everything! The architecture the designs and the comfortability. The eco friendly materials and self sustainable garden and food. I slept like a dream in the bed and the hand made natural soaps and shampoo and shower gel was amazing! I loved the complimentary breakfast and the hist there was so kind and attentive. I will stay here all the time and recomend to everyone i know.

Santalun is 8 connected brick cabins in the desert down the dirt roads. Gated and room open with key codes. Staff interaction was at a home made breakfast- they were charming. The manager, Monica was helpful is guiding us around these mystifying dirt roads. TIP: without Google maps, you are doomed. As she speaks and the few signs are hand written. Clean, quiet property, I will definitely return as the Valle is world class if early in its development

The thought that went into the design of this place is just amazing. If you appreciate that sort of thing you will probably love this boutique bnb. Its small and beautiful, and also simple. The only word of caution I would have is that there is no fridge in the rooms (there is a shared one) and there is nowhere to sit in the room (but there is patio furniture on your own private balcony that is absolutely stunning. I would leave the hotel a 5 star reveiw even before without the amazing service. The breakfast is heavenly. All fresh and organic. On top of that the hotel manager is extremely sweet and helpful and made us feel right at home from the second we arrived until the moment we left. She really made our trip so much better than expected with her very thoughtful recommendations and kind smiles. Thank you for having us and we will be back soon!

My husband and I came for a relaxing stay before I transitioned to a new job. We came off season during the week and were the only ones there! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The facilities are clean and beautiful. I love the eco friendly and sustainability focus. Breakfast was served every morning and was delicious, especially the handmade tortillas! Highly recommended!

I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve never stayed at a bed and breakfast. The view the rooms the breakfast was amazing, so was the host. My husband and I work a lot do to bring business owners and were in need of a break this place was perfect. Only thing, nothing to do with the property. There was a couple next door that were very disruptive woke us up at 1 am and didn’t stop arguing till like 3 am. If you’re a person that wants peace and quiet this is the spot but if you’re trying to party and be loud stay elsewhere. Highly recommend Will be back soon!

The place is very quiet and cozy nestled in the Guadalupe valley hills and is a perfect little stop. They are also right next door to the vena cava winery, so you can schedule stops there for a few bottles very easily too

Amazing experience, the included breakfast is so good! Their landscaping was not like the photos but I get it they shut down for 6 months during the pandemic. Will definitely stay here again. Great showers, loved the heated floors in the room too!

This is the perfect getaway for those ready to unplug. Nestled into mountains and surrounded by vines, Santulan is a peaceful place with an amazing breakfast. We looked forward to our morning meal daily. We enjoyed taking yoga and walking next door to the neighboring winery. Most of the big ticket eateries and wineries are about 15-20 minutes drive away. We really enjoyed the friendly staff who answered all our questions and provided excellent recommendations. Thanks for making our getaway so special!

Sleek and clean

Staying at Santulan was a really wonderful experience altogether. The only unfortunate part of the trip is that after leaving the property on a Monday, I realized I left a pair of expensive sunglasses in my room. I tried reaching out to the property manager and she informed me she wouldn’t be back to the property until Friday and that I must wait until then for her to check. Friday came and no sunglasses were found in my room which I knew I left them in there. Just very disappointing to think that someone that works at the property took them.

This property was beautiful! The staff is great, breakfast was delicious (ladies making tortillas!) Warmed floors, simple, rustic hotel. There’s no TV or phone, but this goes along with their relaxing vibe that encourages you to de plug. Gorgeous views, lively meditation and yoga rooms!

Clean, safe and new. Great breakfast. Manager was very friendly and helpful with hike, wine and meal recommendations. The only downside were the local dogs barking at night.

We loved our stay at Santulan. The location is amazing. Hotel has great views of the valley. The vibe and ambiance is very relaxing. Healthy breakfast is complimentary and tastes great. Highly recommend Santulan if you’re looking for comfort and great service.

The property is rustic yet modern/ contemporary. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The grounds were very well kept and in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe. You do have to take a dirt road to get to the property, but if you have an SUV/ truck it will be no problem. The staff was very accommodating- highly recommend!

We loved staying here. The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming and helped with anything we needed. The architecture is stunning and we found the whole experience incredibly relaxing. The breakfast is so delicious! I can’t recommend it enough.
