Booked because of location to collage class event, and because of pool, and the pool was shut down for repairs and I was not told in advance or I wouldn't have booked here, had to pay a different hotel to use their facilities instead. Wast of money for this booking.

Our room was very nice. You could tell that things were fairly new. The room was very clean. The hotel is a bit of a maze so it’s a little odd to get your bearings and get around. They had a very nice courtyard with tables, umbrellas, and chairs, and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and play cards. Breakfast was phenomenal and I would definitely choose a country Inn and suites again.

One of our big disappointments was at the pool and hot tub were not working. When your researching hotels and that is one of the things that you want after being on a motorcycle for hours, it gets very disappointing when you get to the hotel and find out that it’s down for repairs and has been for over a month. booking.com was advised of the issue but did not pass that on as we just made our reservations a few weeks ago so we were very disappointed. From now on, I will call the hotels myself to verify that the information is accurate.

The room was nice and clean. Great pressure in shower. Beds were comfortable,pillows not as much. Staff when we checked in was nice. They are doing some updates so a better look overall.. Breakfast was nice and lots to choose from. Friendly people

Pool and hot tub closed and it wasnt advertised as that on booking.com. hotel stated they were informed that pool was being fixed over a month ago..i will always call hotel directly now. Being on motorcycles all day you need a pool. Also the layout of the buildings is kind of weird. Hard to get around. Mostly disappointed on pool and hot tub being down

Breakfast was good. Having coffee 24/7 was great!! I left my iPad in the room after checking out & thanks to the HONEST cleaning person I received it back. The front desk called & told me before I had left town.

Did not find out the pool was closed until I got there. The staff acted like it was my fault for not knowing. They said it was on the website. I booked thru booking.com and there was no mention of it on their site The room felt damp and there was mold spots on the ceiling.

Good location and convenient parking — it’s a short 18-minute walk to get ice cream, and the breakfasts are good.

This hotel doesn’t clean rooms unless you specifically request it — and on Fridays and Sundays, they don’t clean at all. This isn’t mentioned at check-in; there’s just a small sign at the front desk. If you’re tired after arrival and just want to settle in, you’re in for an unpleasant surprise the next day. Requests must also be made before 11:00 AM. That’s exactly what happened to us. When we insisted on cleaning, the receptionist argued with me, and only backed down once I asked to speak with her manager. Even when they do clean, it’s done poorly. Out of our whole trip around the peninsula, this was the hotel we liked least. The carpets are very old and the place isn’t clean overall.

Breakfast was awful; it was made with fake eggs. And spending almost $400 per night was ridiculous. Frankly, we thought Traverse City in general was overpriced and not a good travel value. The city seemed dirty, crowded, and lacking in its usual charm.

The body was container - in the shower only - was empty. All their little squeeze bottles were hard to work. No soap at all for the sink

The pool and hot tub wasn’t working which was disappointing as we have kids who wanted to swim. Breakfast was also missing a few items that could have made it nicer like brown sugar for the oatmeal, and real silverware.

Staff was not at all apologetic when they informed us that the pool and hot tub were closed due to a leak. Also, we were disappointed that there was not a smart T.V. So we couldn’t watch a specific movie together. The hallway leading to our room had old rather ugly carpet. For the high price we were expecting nicer.

The room was very humid when we arrived. They were prompt to come look at the heating/cooling controls and change the batteries. Unfortunately, once it was functioning using the controls, it never pulled the humidity out of the air.

This was a very basic and outdated hotel. I was disappointed that the light and fan were connected in the bathroom, which meant the loud fan HAD to be on when the lights were on in the bathroom.

The stay was fine, but due to the heavy smoke from the forest fires in Canada, we could not do any outside activities We were very disappointed that Booking . com did not allow us to use a voucher for our planned stay in Mackinac City. The smoke was much worse there and we were traveling with a child who had asthma. In the future we will look into another booking agency who is more understanding for their customers.

We stayed overnight on our way to Mackinac Island. The room was average. It was clean and comfortable. Shower was clean. Beds were ok and mattresses were comfortable. The breakfast could have been more filling and had more choices to choose from.

Very quiet, no stomping feet above our room no banging dock doors in the hallway. That was probably my favorite part. Also, the breakfast every day was exceptional. The kitchen area was clean. The food was great. I would come back again just because of that.

The only kind of bad thing was the ice machine on the first floor was broke for the first two days, which wasn’t a big problem because we took the elevator to the second floor for ice.

There wasn’t anything that comes to my mind about the property itself. One thing I absolutely DIDNT LIKE when I was making my reservation was that there was no refunds if you were to cancel for any reason whatsoever. That is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! It’s not like the room was a super cheap price @ $330.00 per night thus justifying no cancellation refunds for a reduced rate. I almost didn’t book because of that clause. It was ONLY because I was short on time on my end that I reserved with a hotel with such a policy. So for the very few hours we were actually there, it was wonderful. Your breakfast in the morning had many choices and was delicious!

The cleanliness was outstanding. The staff is pleasant. The pool area is clean and inviting and the hot tub is large and works nicely. The breakfast has hot items and is well done.

The only drawback that I experienced is that the bathroom fan comes on every time you turn on the light. I prefer to have separate switches.

1. The hot tub had a scum ring that needed to be cleaned. 2. Our room smelled like a wet dog. 3. The swim area towels were old and scratchy. 4. Room cleaning was only every 3 days. We stayed 4 days and had to ask for our room to be cleaned after they skipped our room. 5. Free breakfast was very basic. The hot items were not very hot. The french toast sticks were tough and unable to eat.

Picture an enter hotel decorated in old adobe brown, with all artwork black and white. Oh for a red or blue or orange, anything. Even the hall lights looked like they were saving by using 40W when 60 or more would have brightened things up. The heat/AC in the room is next to one of the queen beds and it was brutal - erratic and loud, we eventually turned it off and tried to regulate the temp while we we were away during the day. Breakfast offerings pretty standard for chain hotels, but a plus was the large and (unusually well lit) breakfast area. Located on a major road in TC so directions and getting to site/sights is straight forward.

Front desk lady was great! Everything else was as it should be: breakfest, cleanliness, space, security, pool, etc. Loved the patio area. Exactly what we needed for our soccer family travels.

More towels to start, fix or replace toliet seat in our room, note that brown water came out of our sink for a bit before disappearing.

I would stay again, needs some deep cleaning for sure, behind the bed mattress by the head, bathroom. The Hallways could use some fresh paint, maybe white to brighten them up.

We have stayed here each time we visit our family in Traverse City. The front desk staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast varies from day to day and is always fresh and tasty.

The right place & price 💞

Friendly and comfortable.

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating, the breakfast had a nice variety (and thank you for cooked oatmeal!), the room was very comfortable and I loved the indoor pool (so pretty at night).

It was a little far from downtown Traverse City (it took about 45 minutes to walk), but easily accessible to both main road and a walk through neighborhoods.

Friendly, facility offered us relaxation and fitness. Breakfast was great!

We wish the beds would have been more comfortable they were pretty hard.
