Hôtel propre avec personnel accueillant, agréable et serviable (je leur ai demandé plusieurs conseils). L'emplacement est nickel et la plage privée amène le petit plus
Location on the shore was wonderful
Could be updated a little more.
It wasn’t too far to walk to main area about a mile
Welcome was terrible, we’d driven for 4 hours, didn’t get as much a hello and told that they didn’t have a booking for us! They grudgingly looked again and found our booking, no bar or restaurant at hotel. Breakfast ok but all disposable plastic and paper cups and plates, sustainability points must be 0
Clean
Need a little furniture upgrade
Convenient to downtown. Nice Waterfront space. Friendly, helpful & efficient staff. Comfortable room.
Staff was nice and accommodating.
The ability to walk to the Center of town.
The sliding door off our room did not work very well.
Excellent lake front location, well maintained beach and chairs, easy walk to downtown, and excellent shuttle services around town.
More fruit at breakfast!
location
poor selection of breakfast; airconditioning blowing towards the head position of the bed
Our new favorite hotel in Traverse City! Great pool, easy access beach in front of property & nice breakfast buffet with a friendly staff.
Location
The squirrels ate the wiring harness in my truck and I had to fix it in the parking lot and the maintenance man helped me fix it
Beautiful, friendly staff, great beach and close to everything!
Nothing-great place!
Staff was great. Location is perfect if you want to take a ferry to Mackinac island. You can park at hotel and staff called the free shuttle to take us there and back to hotel for our day trip which saves us $15 ferry parking and hotel parking was free and they said it was fine to park there for the day.
We asked for a quiet room and they put us on the first floor hallway to the pool which was t a quiet room so don’t stay first floor poolside if you prefer quiet.
This is an incredible resort on the Bay. The rooms were clean. I had requested a view of the Bay which was beautiful. The balcony was a nice size and the chairs/table clean for being outside. I went and sat in the hot tub which was also clean. I would recommend this Resort to anyone.
Friendly staff, quick check-in, comfy beds, private beach, good location.
No microwave
Great location
It is always a pleasure to stay at the Bayshore Resort. Their old world Victorian decor is a nice change from the more sterile interiors of most of the the newer hotels. Their service is excellent (front desk, housekeeping and maintenance). Their beach is well-maintained and so is the pool and hot tub. They have a good selection of items for t breakfast. May I suggest a bayfront room. The views are always great, and you can watch the fireworks and the Air Shows right from the comfort of your private balcony.
Clean room, great view & staff was exceptional
Breakfest was less than desirable when looking at the cost per room.
The cost per night was high for an older hotel.
My wife and I stayed five nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean. The jacuzzi tub is wonderful! The hotel has a great location right on the beach, and is short walking distance from downtown. We walked to several meals instead of driving and dealing with parking. The heated indoor pool and hot tub came in handy as we had some rainy days and the lake was quite cold. The workout room is small but allows for a basic workout and cardio. The complimentary breakfast and coffee was very convenient. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.
We stayed here for 3 nights, the most that would be tolerable. Everyone working at this hotel is what made the stay exceptional. There is no way to get most anywhere without a car so thank goodness they had a shuttle service to downtown and the commons. Ben, in particular, was such a sweet guy and driver, telling us all about the town. You can walk one mile to downtown restaurants but this wouldn’t be great if raining which it did. There is a liquor store, the Blue Goat within a few blocks. We tried to get an airport pickup but the shuttle was already busy with other guests. We opted for an Uber instead of waiting 30 minutes. Expensive mistake, we should have waited. The hotel was meticulously clean. The bed was comfortable, lots of outlets and good lighting. The main issue is the lack of a restaurant (other than a basic breakfast) or bar. With most options being far, this just doesn’t cut it. If I had a car, it might have been a different story, although parking downtown also looked a bit difficult. I’m glad I stayed here and was able to see Traverse City, but I wouldn’t return.
Staff was friendly, bed was comfortable
Shower was a joke. I've been in larger showers in a sailboat. Prefab miniature showers for the price I paid was ridiculous! The property does not enforce their no smoking policy. We sat outside to view the sunset each night and had to breathe the foul smell of marijuana each night. One night it filled our room with the foul smell. Not good.
Right on the bay, great staff and very clean.
It was all great. Windows to the pool seems odd though, but we were too busy to use it anyway.
location location location
poor WIFI
I was traveling solo but with a tour group. This hotel was very nice and well located in Traverse City. The room was quite nice and it was quiet. I spent two nights there. We had one meal in the dining room and it was very good. I wasn't aware of the pretty view behind the hotel until the night we left, so be sure to spend some time out there.
Staff was wonderful! Used the shuttle into town a couple times, drivers were courteous and timely. Room was clean. I liked that you could just request room cleaning when you needed it.
First night, beach was not clean. There was trash & dead fish (which caused a ton of flies), but when I went our a couple days later, they had cleaned it up... otherwise I would have provided top ratings in facilities and cleanliness.
Great beach and clean room.
Clean, friendly Staff, good parking, great location. Rooms are very nice, clean and up to date. On the bay with private beach. Negatives are no restaurant and no bar.
Shuttle
Amazing location, beach.
What a fabulous surprise that we were complimentary upgraded when we checked in. This was our only vacation for 2026. We spent a couple of days in Mackinac and a couple of days in Traverse City. There is no comparison between the two hotels! You so surpassed our expectations, and we truly appreciate your generosity!
That we were not able to stay longer.
Most horrible breakfast ever - only junk
Provide a decent breakfast - hat they serve is truly unecceptable
Upgrade to a room with a lake view
Nothing! Staff was super nice and helpful.
On the Lake
Great breakfast, great location! Nice room
Been at Bayshore Resort many times & loved each visit. Recommended to many friends/family members. Be back next year for sure!

rooms, pool, hot tub, breakfast - everything was very nice
the fact that there was no shuttle to Turtle Creek Casino as shown on their website. Not your fault by no means, but you should have the casino remove your name from their website.
Great hotel right on the bay. The decor is like fancy 70's style, which I kind of liked. The resort was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I extended my stay because it is a great place.
Cleanliness, friendly staff , off sesson cost and location
Nothing
Beautiful Traverse Bay view Love being able to walk into town, and the main beach from the Hotel
Love the Bayshore after 25+ years of bi-annual visits. Not one grump in the Bayshore staff. We always reserve a full bayfront view room. The Bayshore itself Is a tad dated but spotless w/not one sign of visible wear and tear. It is just a matter of taste in decor. The gratis breakfast is great. A shoutout to “Diane”, the attendant on duty for breakfast. A true “local” w/a vast knowledge of the area and willing to share tips. Clearly Diane enjoys her work while graciously looking after the needs of guests.
Although rage hotel was accommodating several young people the breakfast room was well stocked.
The staff went out of their way to help me correct a double booking.
Weather thiis time of year, but they have no control over hat.
Love the pool it was extremely clean
Liked everything about it
Location
All great!
Easy to find and clean
None
Very clean, free breakfast and right on the water
Only complaint would be to offer some gluten free bread or bagels for breakfast
Location and staff great. Fairly decent breakfast spread. Lots of choices.
Rooms could use some updating. Carpet and wallpaper mainly. WiFi not adequate either. Kept bumping us off from wifi with poor signal.
Clean and close to downtown
Location is perfect
It’s not affordable in the summer
Clean and cozy
The Hot Tub
Pillows
The room was really cute and clean, and the staff were so helpful. We needed a corkscrew and it was brought to our room in no time. And when the pool and spa reopened our second day there we were the first to know! Also the view from our balcony looking out at Grand Traverse Bay was beautiful.
It was very unfortunate that the first night we were there we weren't able to use the pool and hot tub. But it also is not the hotel's fault that a kid had an accident in there. We made up for it by using it as much as possible our second day!
The fact that it is at the lakeside with the room facing to the lake.
Nothing
Front desk staff and shuttle drivers were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
Friendly staff and complimentary airport shuttle. Spacious and clean rooms.

We had a rough weekend, things did not go as planned. However, our stay at this hotel was the best part of our weekend. The hotel itself is very beautiful and romantic. They accommodated us when our sitter couldn’t watch our kids anymore with absolutely no issues whatsoever. The staff at the front desk were so sweet and welcoming. I felt like I was up there ten times and they were wonderful each time. They have a very large and fun pool area. They have a very cozy, welcoming fire place. The beach access looks amazing, I would love to visit during the summer season. The room was clean and comfortable. Thank you for being the kind and stable part of our chaotic weekend!
The breakfast wasn't very good. The donuts were frozen and thawed fell apart and didn't taste good.
It was good, the coffee was good!
Breakfast was good. Location was excellent.
Everything.....we asked front desk for recommendation for wine tour, provided quality answers, beach clean, all staff friendly we had amazing time and this is 2nd yr choosing this hotel, will definitely use this hotel for next year or anytime we have opportunity to travel to Traverse City
Way overpriced tourist trap
Good location, nice beach, a few chairs & loungers available, towels and beach needs right there
A bit run down, my room looked out on to an odd flat asphalt area like a flat roof. The big windows on the 3rd floor could see in my room
It was very clean, nice walk out and close to downtown
Everything was great just wish they had a bar, would be nice to order some drinks while on the beacj
Lived the location and amenities
One of the beds in our queen room was uncomfortable, you could feel the springs in it. The other bed was great.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room ( we got an upgrade at no charge) was very nice. The pool was as clean as any pool I've ever seen. The hot tub was hot and had very good jets. The breakfast turned out to be very good. It right on the beach, what more could you ask for?
Very very minor. The shower had no place to set soap or shampoo down . The fan in the bathroom must have been broken
Staff was on top of the stocking and cleaning in the breakfast room. Hallways were clean and quiet, the beach front was clean and the chairs were clean and dry, Appreciated the early check in. Plenty of parking for all guests.
There could have been more seating in the breakfast area. More information on parking and getting around downtown area would have been helpful. For example, what is within walking distance, what requires parking, is there a shuttle or trolly in the area...
It was a wonderful get away during the Christmas holidays! The staff was so friendly and the hotel decorated beautifully.Breakfast was delicious too and of course it was so clean!
Loved the location so close to downtown. Very friendly staff, exceptionally clean room, and quiet.
The property looks a bit dated but it was clean, comfortable, and quiet - I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again
