Our stay went well. Good location, clean, plenty of room to move about the hotel, employees were helpful and pleasant. Overall a good place to stay at, would use it again.

The bathroom shower had a few small mold spots and the thermostat did not respond well to temperature settings.

This was our third time staying at this hotel. I have a hard time breathing, and I love that there is a ceiling fan over the bed, it helps me sleep. Also the staff every single time are always amazing. Even the cleaning crew in the hallways always smile and say hello. I feel very comfortable and welcomed when my husband and I stay there. I have family in Poughkeepsie and live about 3 hours away. Sometimes depending on what we are doing we will just spend the night and we love this location.

Nothing, everything was wonderful. The room, the staff, and I love that I can buy vodka in the store.

I loved the outdoors space and the fire pits at night, mini golf and basketball court. Breakfast was okay, the coffee was good. The location was great close to restaurants and other attractions.

Tout était bien. Grande chambre d'hôtel avec un petit coin cuisine. Deux grands lits pour mon mari et moi et pour ma fille. un grand canapé. Une grande salle de bain. Le petit-déjeuner était super et très bien achalandé. La piscine était chouette. L'extérieur avec les braseros était vraiment top !!!

My wife and I just completed a 2 night stay at the Homewood Suites Poughkeepsie and I wanted to pass on some quick thoughts before I move on. Pros We were well-greeted by Yvonne, who checked us in quickly and seemed to have a kind word for each guest she dealt with. We received the now-usual (automated?) text asking us how things are going within the first 10 minutes of our arrival, and when we reported that housekeeping had only provided 2 towels for our entire stay she was happy to provide us with extras at the desk or she could have them brought up. The hotel is in a convenient location to visit the Hyde Park attractions, which we were there for. A large free parking lot and many nearby restaurants make it convenient as well. Although we didn't partake the hotel offers a small basketball hoop, sitting area, and free putting green to keep families happy. The HVAC included a 'constant fan' setting which helped diminish noises from other rooms and the hallway (I did notice a bit of hallway noise when it was not on). Cons While I've stayed in 'pet friendly' hotels before it was always by accident, like this time - I should pay more attention! In other hotels, however, you'd hardly know this was the case, but at this Homewood Suites it is quickly apparent. Once past the lobby the smell of something 'off', coupled with a strong disinfectant overlay, was always present - the elevator and hallways especially. We did notice a bit of an odor in our room as well, but it was mild enough that we quickly adapted. Continuing the same theme - when my wife went down to get additional bath towels for our room she notice a woman with a small dog getting on the elevator. When my wife returned to the elevator? - no woman or dog, but a wet floor that we had to report to Yvonne. Due to the above I think I'd pick a different hotel next time.

This location is great-walking distance to CVS, sushi, frozen yogurt, Starbucks, five guys, playa and Red Robin’s. Literally 4 minutes or less. Good breakfast each day. Clean rooms. Laundry onsite, pool, Exercise room, mini golf, basketball court etc. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed 5 days-2 rooms-party of 5 and would stay again.

Great staff, they were very friendly. Housekeeping was great as well and very consistent and helpful. The room far exceeded my expectations and was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was also amazing! The pool and outdoor area was beautiful and entertaining for any family.

My only con was the AC in the room didn’t seem to work too well after a while.

The temperature was hard to manage. Mostly freezing cold. The thermostat didn't work. Also, no bath mat. No napkins in the kitchen. The bed was very soft but also way too high. Tough for a 5' person to get up into the bed

We liked everything

Clean and updated. Friendly staff. Nice sized room and very comfortable bed. Our son was very comfortable on the pull out sofa. I loved the patio in the evening with the fire pits going.

The carpet at the entrance to the bathroom was not up against the tile and my son stepped there with bare feet and it poked him. But nothing happened to his foot

Excellent hotel in every way. It was my first time at Homewood Suites, but from now on, I’ll be looking for one when I travel.

We were told breakfast was from 7-10am. I went down for breakfast at 7:10 and they were already out of coffee without a back up ready to put out.

The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, the temp in the room was 74 and would not go down despite changing the thermostat, all bathroom stalls in the lobby were out of toilet paper at 7am, and the shower could have been cleaned better.

The edge of carpet near the bathroom was ripped and nail was out on top,thank god I saw and take it out throw in the garbage otherwise one of us would have hurt our feet.so u guys need to b careful with that.otherwise stay was good.

Breakfast was terrific. I've never seen pork carnitas with all the taco fixings at a complimentary breakfast buffet before, but it was a pleasant surprise. Would've been nice if it went a little later.

Everything about the room and common amenities was beautiful, but the furniture was simply not comfortable. The bed was sub-par and difficult to get a good night's sleep on. The couch was not very comfortable to sit on.

I liked the price for the suite.

I did not like the dogs barking on our floor. We were moved and there were more dogs. This has to stop, if you can't travel without your dog, why not stay home? Some have allergies, children afraid of loud noise and what about accidents in the room, hallways etc etc. The front desk person hung up on me, rude.

Great location. Terrific service. Clean and comfortable rooms. What more can you say? We had a wonderful experience for a 1-night stay and are not only happy we chose this hotel but would definitely recommend and stay again.

The room was bigger than expected. Full size fridge, mini kitchenette. Clean, friendly staff, easy contactless checkin, well lit parking lot. Decent breakfast in the morning. Great place for a night or more!

What can I say except Faaaaantastic !!! The wonderful front desk staff like Yvonne and Nicolette. There just so welcoming and accomodating. They will make You naturally feel at home. And the gentleman who is on in the evening and night is fun and bubbly and if you need any advice about the hotel or Poughkeepsie he’s your man. Rooms are clean and fresh and have all you need and are very spacious. In the evening they have fire pits that you can sit round outside in small or large groups. It has ample parking and free breakfast. If you want a bite to eat at night you can walk to the Red Robin or get food to cook in the room from the CVS near by or even alcohol. The hotel has a great gym and even a super heated indoor pool. It also has washing machine facilities. It’s just a home from Home with lovely friendly Warm staff. I Absolutely Love it here. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ The manager is Hans and he is very nice and has put together a great team That have been at the hotel For years. And not forgetting Kerry, she is front office and also very helpfull and super efficient and again will fix any problems or requests you have. Overall I would Only recommend this hotel if ever in Poughkeepsie. It’s not directly in the town but hey I think only 1 hotel is there and that’s the Doubletree and most other hotels are on the main road between Poughkeepsie and Fishkill. Can’t wait to be back in March, April and November 2026….

I love the free breakfast in the morning the coffee was fresh hot but you should have had bacon and Waffles

The mattress the mattress is soft the side in the middle. Shower head a leak from the ceiling that leaked water and Plastering sheetrock onto the bottom of the shower stall we had to switch rooms because we thought the ceiling was going to collapse on us. That was a major inconvenience

Loved having a kitchen to make my own meals because of my restricted diet. Very clean room. Very friendly staff. Good location. Good value. Free bottled water on arrival. Clean lobby and eating area. Had a basketball half court, putting green and a grill for lodgers use.

Breakfast was just okay. Enjoyed the fruit salad, but the eggs, potatoes and meat seemed to be from frozen, and they tasted like it. But, breakfast was included in the price of room, so you can't be too picky.

Staff are friendly and on their game. Spaces are clean and well thought out. Great for a multi day visit in which you want a small kitchen.

We loved how spacious the room was. Excellent water pressure. Breakfast was good. The room was clean. We actually would have loved to stay another night but have to get home.

There wasn't really anything wrong with the hotel just had to cut my breakfast short because another guests child sneezed right near an open lid of food.

The only disappointments were 1) the pillows....wish they were larger and that they were down filled, and 2) also the fact that the rooms didn't contain personal safes. I didn't like having to go to the first floor to sign in to use a safe.

As I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I enjoy trying out different hotels across Hilton's portfolio when I visit a particular area. Despite the Uber ride to/from the train station, I decided to stay at this Homewood Suites since it appeared to be near many places to eat. I checked in online the day before arrival and chose my suite via the Hilton app. Although I had to stop at the front desk to obtain my complimentary spring water, my time at the front desk was minimal and I was soon on my way to my room. Staff was friendly. My suite was definitely ample for my belongings. No problems with WiFi, TV, nor climate control. Bathroom had plenty of counter space and no issues with hot water. Sleep was as good as it can be, and breakfast was decent. Plenty of fast food type places within the same complex and thus a short walk. Overall, I would recommend this property.

Very nice, big, and clean room. Good variety for hot breakfast. Food are replenished constantly so you will not go hungry. Excellent location. Close to all shops and restaurant. The manager is very kind, gave us 2 bottles of water for our trip back of which we are so grateful. Need a firmer pillow and will ask for no pet floor next time but other than that, a big winner. Will come back again so it’s important to continue with this effort, otherwise, we will be very disappointed.

Arrived after a two-week vacation staying at BnBs and Inns, so it felt great to be in a spacious hotel with a laundry and amenities. The Wednesday social was perfect since we needed some light food after driving and before doing laundry. The front desk staff were great, very friendly. Room was clean, quiet, had all the amenities we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and staff there were very good at cleaning and replenishing.

Nothing I can think of. It's a brand we like and know what to expect, and sometimes it is good to be in a familiar hotel when traveling for a while.

There’s a bonfire and it was really cool, but we never got to it which is really weird

Das Zimmer war sehr groß und drei Erwachsene hatten ausreichend Platz und Privatsphäre. Empfang war sehr nett und das Komplementäre Abendessen sehr gut. Fitnessstudio ist für ein Hotel dieser Art ausgesprochen gut ausgestattet und geräumig. Klimaanlage überall dezent, aber wirksam. Schöner Aussenbereich.

I have stayed at the Homewood in Poughkeepsie several times over the past few years, and while the location is fantastic, the property itself has unfortunately declined. What used to feel fresh and welcoming now feels dated and in need of attention. The carpets in both the rooms and hallways are noticeably dank and dirty, the mattresses are springy and past their prime, and the showers drip. The air conditioning is confusing, sometimes managed at the unit, other times on the wall thermostat, and never consistent. Guests leave take out trash in the hallways, pails are too small for pizza boxes, and no one comes around to tidy. Even the exterior could use care - rugs at the entrance and the sidewalks are unkempt with worn furniture at the entrance, giving such a poor first impression. Breakfast has also slipped. It used to feel more homemade and fresher, but now options seem lower quality and uninspired - no more smell of fresh baked muffins! It is disappointing because this hotel has so much potential, sitting in an amazing location (set back from highway, with access to good quick food options like Starbucks, Bonsai, Acai Bowls etc.) that should make it a standout. With some investment in cleanliness, updates and better food quality, this could once again be a top choice. But right now, if feels like a missed opportunity.

We were really pleasantly surprised by this hotel, the nicest by far that we’ve stayed in on our road trip. Great breakfast and great amenities. The gym, pool and communal areas, like our room, were immaculate and the staff were helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was tasty and hot with plenty of options. Would highly recommend.

The pool was closed

We wanted to go swimming, but the pool was closed. Did not know that till we checked in would’ve went elsewhere.

Rooms were super clean, premises were great. My 8-year old son loved the basketball area and my 4 and 2 year old other kids loved the mini golf!

Breakfast was not as great as I would expect based on every other amenities. I wish we have received an email saying that the pool was not functional. We wouldn’t have canceled but it would have avoided our kids to be sad about it.

Warm welcome by the receptionist Raleighn. Reasonable spread of breakfast, adequate for a good start of the day. Nice and powerful shower.
