When we checked in the suite,we were directed to a first floor equivalent suit next to a high traffic area,where the noise was excessive. The plumbing also was extremely noisy from others showering and flushing-all night! This was our honeymoon, which did requiered privacy as well.The AM we requested be moved to a quieter room. However,the gentlemen at guest services, was not available. We had to plead our case again to be moved.

Each time we went to guest services,there was another employee, who was not aware of our circumstances. After day 1, I requested a caase note to be added to the reservation. This helped.

Easy to locate off Highway, dog friendly, nice room, bathroom and beds.

Best hotel gym I've been in in a good long while. Good assortment of offerings at breakfast. Good strong coffee, which you cannot take for granted at hotels. Comfy beds, tidy rooms with all new furnishings.

The morning I used it, at around 8 am, there was a mound of used towels from the day before and just a handful of clean ones. Also, the lanternbug infestation seems to have hit your region hard. I'd recommend periodically vacuuming them off the pillars and furnishings at the entrance and around the patio where guests are trying to relax

size of room was good, great shower, tv's good, easy to get in and out for handicapped.

cleanliness, no bag for ice bucket, had to ask for coffee for coffee pot, Kleenex not replaced, crumbs on table entire stay, tv at dining table had no sound, telephone hard to figure out (too many options). No Ice Machine on first floor not conducive for handicapped.

The comfort was the off the scale. Large room, two large beds, big bath, and totally quiet. The breakfast was superb and the pool is open from early to late. It is worth driving slightly out of town to get here. If you are not too fussy about dinner, there is a good Olive Garden right near by.

The people working there. they love to have arguments, they are always right and not the clients like it is suppose to happen. Not only for me but there was also there other people in front of me and complaining about the same.

We booked a 2 queen and sofa option and upon arrival we were given only a king and a sofa option. It was not was what booked and paid for.

So many things.... Location - behind a storage facility - scetch First impression - stood in the lobby for five minutes before having to look for someone to check us in at 9pm, found a young unprofessional person in a back storage room to help us, did fine. Room - smelled of stale potato-chips and cleaner, beds were hard lumpy and squeaky with way too puffy of pillows, no extra linens or pillow for the pullout which we said we needed for the fourth person Bathroom - pink mold around the grout and tired old shower, shower pressure and head were meek, towels were fine Overall this place felt run by amateurs who don't care about quality or details.

Breakfast was very good. Saturday morning we had a terrific corned beef hash.

A trash container outside the 3d floor elevator held highly visible breakfast items for over 24 hours.

Water marks on ceiling in my room, bathroom floor tiles are warped and we had to push very hard on bathroom door in order for it to close.

The facility was good. The room size, comfort, the overall ambience of the hotel.

The housekeeping staff were not changing towels or sheets unless you ask.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed to ship a few things to the hotel for my daughter who was moving back to college, and the staff had it ready and waiting for us when we arrived. They also helped load it into the car.

Cleaning of my room wasn't on time check-in. Gave notice dog was coming and advised that dog friendly wasn't available.

Great location. Breakfast ended 9am. too early for me. Room was large. Did love the coffee in the room. Great water pressure in the shower.

The breakfast was very good and the room was comfortable in terms of size.

One of the box springs on the bed was somehow off and kept clanging whenever anybody would sit on it or even roll over. Otherwise, the room was very nice.

- Room not ready at 5pm - at 1:30 in the morning, someone tried to get into our room, as the front desk accidentally assigned them our room. Needless to say this was frightening. When we CALLED the front desk, they did not think this was a big deal "oh, sorry, that's correct" - after a sleepless night, there was no hot water in our room, only slightly tepid. NOT A GOOD STAY

Breakfast was fine. Glad they included fresh friut.

Wish there was a dinner restaurant. Supposedly there was but no one was there. And their did not appear to be an actual chef so assumed food was ready made.

Poor customer service, room not very clean and lousy breakfast. Back parking lot entrance door didn’t work well. Mildew in our shower stall.

The location and buffet breakfast was very good.

The pool was not clean. My room was cleaned all the way. I found cups behind the bedroom door and counter top was cleaned. The shower liner has mold on it.

Clean updated hotel. Comfortable beds. Helpful desk personnel who work extremely hard handling the front desk, cleaning up the breakfast area, etc. very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast attendant was efficient and helpful. NO SODA OR SNACK machines in the entire hotel! At the time of our visit, the bar had no soda or mixers so only options were limited wine selections and a few types of beers or water! Food options are limited and not sure who prepares them as we didn’t see any food service staff. Not really a bar or dining option which is too bad as it’s a nice hotel.

Kitchen staff is rude and unprofessional (especially George). The front desk staff is not fully aware of the hotel. I was told that the electric car charger is available but they failed to inform me that it is ‘not functional’ which put me in a very difficult situation because I could not charge my car at the hotel and had to waste time to go and charge at an alternate location.

Room was clean and spacious. The lobby was large and inviting. Lots of nice outdoor seating.

Excellent breakfast, updated to nutritional standards, freshly prepped fruit salad, variety of cooked eggs, cooked on the promises, not comertioly made up that only looks like eggs. This place have cook his name George, he cooking every morning for guests free breakfast, and its on high quality level 👌.

I have to tell that front desk workers should be more professionally trained to perform their duty more firmly, but welcoming people as a well oriented host.

Had a pleasant experience. Location, atmosphere and cleanliness were excellent. The room was a bit larger than expected with actually a sitting area with a sofa and coffee table to watch TV. It was very quiet however, my legs were bitten by something while I slept. Otherwise, I would stay there again.

This hotel is great. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. Front desk personnel are smiling and willing to always assist if needed. Sara’s, there are two of them, Emily, George, Chris and I’ve probably forgotten a few names. Breakfast isn’t the same every morning so you get some variety. Dinner options are actually very good also. Michael also works the desk but is the in the true sense a utility player. Desk, bartender, cook and server all are within his scope while he’s there. Hospitality is in his blood. We will be visiting this hotel often and are looking forward to it.

What a beautiful hotel with warm and welcomig staff! Everything was clean and in working order. Much nicer than we had anticipated. We apprecitate the time and effort of all while we were there.

The staff was amazing and so accommodating. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The shower had great water pressure after a long day of moving. We had a great experience here.

Rooms were not ready when our group arrived at 6pm, no shampoo in my room even after housekeeping service on the 2nd day, trash was not taken out during housekeeping service, trash overflowing in gym and no towels in gym.

Hotel was a little unsanitary. Room had some stains on the couch and could have used a deep clean in general. The pool was cloudy and the pool area wasn’t being cleaned throughout the day (had like big bunches of hair on the floor). Breakfast was also chaotic. A lot of people and no one cleaning the tables and egg and cereal all over the floor. I felt kind of grossed out through the entire stay. I think they need more staff in general for the amount of people that stay there.

The staff was friendly, professional and courteous. One notable exception for us was the check in representative noted below. The facility was clean and in good shape including the pool area.

Check in was a big challenge for the representative we got the first time. He was on his phone texting, asked us to wait off to the side. When he called us back over, he said he had to call to check on a clean room. It seemed like it was his first day and any training that was provided was completely forgotten. He gave us uncoded room keys. The keys did not work when we got to the room. We brought all our stuff back to the desk and luckily another knowledgeable representative helped us get our keys coded. The bad beginning was helped to be smoothed over with professional help quickly addressing the oversight of the original check in representative.

Breakfast exceptional. Multiple choices of food. The waffles were a favorite. Room was very spacious and well appointed. Breakfast area attractive.

The staff is very kind

I stay here often - once a week- and there is some glitch between booking.com and this company and they charge me TWICE. This has happened over 5 times this year alone. The positive : the money is always returned (so far , still waiting on my last stay to be returned ) after I spend a day on the phone between the companies pointing it out , argueing etc. It’s exhausting and takes all the fun out of the stay . And if I wasn’t so sharp on my finances I wouldn’t have noticed and just been paying for two nights with every stay . The place is great - the staff is friendly - but you have to worry about being double charged for every stay .

Very accommodating. Breakfast the 1st morning was great! The bar in the lounge is a plus and lots of sitting areas indoors as well as outdoors. Room was very well put together and clean. Would definitely stay at Hyatt again. The sunrise was very warming.

For context, I'm with my wife and two toddlers, and it has already been a loooong day. Nevertheless, I'm probably one of the most patient people you'll ever meet.... Check in time was 3pm. Arrived at 345 staff said the room wasn't ready. They said shouldn't be long, so I said no problem we'll go sit down and eat somewhere, they said great we'll call you when the room is ready. 630 pm comes and goes, still I've received no call. So we just show up and the have a key for us.... go up to the room, and there's a man and his dog (really nice guy and dog btw) already staying in the room. After much confusion, hotel staff finds us an empty room...... we settle in and take the kids to the indoor pool. There's no towels in the pool area, so I go to the front desk to get them. At the front desk, I see the guy with the dog is telling the staff that his key stopped working. As I'm overhearing their conversation I realize they're about to swap our keys with this guy again so I intervene. And then get my towels and head back to the pool area where I find that nobody's gotten in, because the pool water was so murky and gross. And my kids will swim in damn near anything....... the morning after, housekeeping comes around 10am as we don't have any do not disturb placard I inform the we won't need any cleaning. About 45 minutes later another nice lady with a piece of paper, I'm assuming she's housekeeping management asks if we need any keeping I tell her the same thing. So she says great I'll put you on this list, I say great. We leave shortly after and are gone maybe an hour. In that time someone went into our room. I know because I placed a suitcase directly in front of the door when I closed it....... We did our best to enjoy our stay.

This was our third overnight stay here, usually our go to place, after a long day in NYC. The location is very convenient from the train station and close to many restaurants.

I want to preface by saying that our other two stays here were excellent. However, this time we arrived later in the evening to what appeared to be a bus full of very loud and obnoxious children (adults too) - to the point that I could not even hear the lady at the front desk trying to check me in. Staff were very aware of children running and screaming all over but made no attempt to ask them to respectfully quiet down. I woke up to random children banging on door in the morning, they took up the entire pool with rough play, and were running around the parking lot throwing balls towards cars. I understand the hotel cannot stop this behavior completely but they just stood aside and watched. Also! Beware of room 223. After settling in, I laid down in the bed to a random wet spot. Each layer that I took off the bed got worse and smellier. There was a brownish wet spot that smelled of fresh urine. When I notified the staff, they came up took pictures and called manager who told them to give me a fan to dry off the spot and then put fresh sheets on top expecting me to sleep on it. They did not clean or disinfect the spot and did not even take the soiled sheets out of the room. I had to sleep in the other bed with my teenage daughter which was the reason we chose a room with 2 beds. We were not able to enjoy the late check out because we were so frustrated with everything we chose to just leave. I went downstairs to check out and the new lady at the desk had no knowledge of the incident from the previous night so I had to re explain everything. The manager never came out to speak to me. They did offer to refund me half but said I had to deal with Booking to do that so I had to leave with nothing resolved. I did receive half refund although I believe a full refund or free future stay would have been more acceptable. I understand mistakes can be made but this was a huge, unhealthy inconvenience and just ruined our whole stay.

I was in a first floor room. The guests above me had an overactive child that was constantly jumping off the furniture onto the floor late into the night and early in the morning- not the hotel's fault. but extremely annoying.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful and the hotel location was great. We were able to find restaurants and malls within minutes of leaving the hotel.

When I checked in, I was told there were no pillows or bedding available for the sofa bed because they had run out so I gave one of my pillow to my son . We arrived on Sunday two young ladies that were at the desk were very sweet very kind very helpful. Very aware of what was going on around them and very good to give some good information about any with any questions that I had. The room was immaculate, I needed to wipe some water off the floor. I mopped up the water with a small towel and there was nothing except water on the towel so the floor was very very clean. The people that were cleaning the rooms were very sweet, when you walked past them, they acknowledged you, which I think is very, very important

When we arrived on Sunday, the young ladies at the desk are wonderful very helpful very kind very knowledgeable. They they told us that they had a restaurant on the site, but it wasn’t open today because it wasn’t any staff. This happened again on Tuesday night. We were planning to eat at the hotel and the restaurant was closed because someone called out. It happened again at the front desk on Tuesday morning I had to come down to check out and there was no one there. These may seem like minor things and they probably are, but when you’re telling customers that you have these items that you’re offering at your hotel and they’re not followed through it may not be the best type of customer service.

The beds were uncomfortable. No microwave in room. I could hear every footstep from the person on the floor above. Called front desk and they did absolutely nothing about it.

Long wait to check-in as our room was not available when we arrived. Room had not been serviced after we had been out all of one day. Housekeeping finally knocked at 5.30pm to ask if we did want the room serviced but we felt it was too late by then and we declined.

Could’ve been cleaner. I was charged 2 separate holds, that could’ve been avoided. Breakfast ended early, so we never got the chance to try. The back door from the parking lot wouldn’t let us in even with the key card.

First time at a Hyatt and we will definitely use this brand again. Other brands diminished services and customer service so we were prepared for an equal amount of "less in service". Not at the Hyatt. They blew us away the 1st day we returned to a refreshed room. Great job Hyatt. We will return.

We chose Hyatt Place Poughkeepsie for a family getaway and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the rooms were comfortable for our family. What stood out most was the combination of great service, a convenient location, and a relaxing atmosphere. The only thing we wished for was complimentary water in the guest rooms or lobby, as that would have been a nice added convenience. But the coffee and tea station was a nice touch. Highly recommend for families visiting the area.

Best front desk manager ever- Michael did everything by himself: !!checked people in/out while bartending and handling maintenance issues. He deserves a medal
