Great all round
Clean compact room. Ours was a family of 4. The bunk bed style was perfect for our needs. Very practical layout with an excellent bathroom. Nothing fancy, but fit for purpose.. parking was good.
breakfast was fresh but minimal.
Small room but comfortable bed. Basic breakfast but no recycling
Older hotel
Clean room but cramped. It worked out.
Very limited parking. Had to park a block away. Very basic room. Fan in bathroom sounded like a truck. Was very well situated
If you are looking for a shelter, this is a great spot! I got the room for 4 people that has 2 bunk beds and 2 single beds, which was ok. But, the size of the room was beyond awful. Tv was probably from 20 years ago, couldnt watch nothing with the kids. It is very small and unsafe for kids. I asked front desk to give me anything else but they refused without giving any solution. The service and cleanliness was really good. But overall it is not worth it to pay $220 plus $35. One good thing is it is a walking distance to old montreal.
We think we left something in room and have spoke to a couple of folks and recieved no help. I have also emailed and did not get response. We are not asking for it to be sent to us just confirmation it was found. The staff besides this were fine.
The area is very convenient, it is in the heart of downtown. Near to metro, bus stops, malls and everything.
Great location for touring old Montreal on foot
Very clean. I appreciated the Nespresso in our room. The room was small but we mainly used it to sleep and get ready so it was perfect for us. Breakfast offered wasn't high end by any means but it satisfied my hunger
Nice.
very tiny room for 3 adults . no room to move around ,very tiny bathroom , no facility for hot water, etc
Very accessible to downtown areas.
Room is clean but no kitchen. Staffs are okay.
Room was very clean and it was ready early
There was bed bugs on our bed and the staff wasn’t helpful at all. They even said it wasn’t possible to get bed bugs here.
Never go back. Horrible breakfast. Too expensive for what you get. Too small room. Bad odor.
The room is so noise even though I checked the room before and the staff confirmed me there would not be any noise
Everything was right there: Chinatown with amazing food, shopping, bus stop just outside, arts centre 5 min walk. Perfect location! I went with two teenagers and it was awesome we all had our own bed. Super comfy beds. Room is small but if you are otg all day and just need a place to crash it is perfect! Highly recommend!
Walkable from different tourist attractions..friendly staff and helpful.
Small room for price with no microwave or iron board. But very clean! Breakfast was okay …fresh fruit was great! Best coffee I had in a while…all the milk and juice you want, fresh and very large croissants! But no meat options just hard boiled eggs. Take out breakfast available which helped a lot! Great location for meals and shops …close to Chinatown which we loved! So if we go again we would consider this hotel again!
Booked 3 rooms with queen size beds, was provided all single bunk beds
Free breakfast was great! Loved that every day we returned to our room - the bed was remade, towels refreshed, coffee, etc. It was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in but luckily we had lots of plans that we basically just slept and showered there anyways. The room we booked said Queen size bed but it definitely wasn't. Overall, the location was absolutely perfect for us which was the main thing and our favorite part was coming back to fresh-made bed every evening!
Great location and on site parking. Room very small for the price charged. AC unit extremely noisy that made for a horrible sleep.
Room was so tiny, more luke a hostel. Not worth the price.
It was nice. Tiny room, the door hit the bed when fully open. Clean areas and helpful staff. Small breakfast only had cereal, croissants, hard boiled eggs and yogurt.
Very clean with small compact rooms
Ok hotel for our purposes (one night stopover prior to flight). Room was small but was fine. Room could use more light especially desk area.
Clean and tidy , great breakfast and great price
Booked a room for 3 adults. Could not even put 3 suitcases in the room. Asked for a bigger room and was told this was the biggest they had. We had to book an extra room and no refund was given on the original room we booked. Floor was dirty.
This hotel is not worth more than 2 stars I explained abovev
I like the area because right in downtown and near china town. What i dont like the room is pretty small and our first night when i was taking a shower the water stop and handle is not working and still have soap in my body. But next day they fixed it. Overall its okay.. Breakfast is good.
Close to Bruce
We stayed 4 nights. The room was a bit small, had to put our suitcases on the desk. Only one trash can. No microwave. But…it is convenient for walking to sights and restaurants and having a complementary breakfast in the morning was great
Great breakfast included. Conveniently located.
Service was not great and room very small.
Hotel was superb! Breakfast can be improved!
The Hotel didn’t count with a microwave or water or coffee service in the lobby. The Manager of the Cafeteria where we took the daily breakfast was a very rude guy, my wife and I entered the cafeteria and I was going to check with him while she went to take a table, and suddenly he chased her like she were a thief, despite I was telling him she is my wife and I was checking for both of us. I told him he was acting like a policeman, he didn’t care. Also we had the same daily continental breakfast for 4 days, the restaurant was unable to be creative and replace items. I requested a room with twin beds, the room was so small that one of the beds was next to the wall in parallel, while the other bed was in its regular spot. The day we arrived, one of the elevator to the parking was broken and the other elevator took 25 minutes to arrive, and the door to the stairs was locked. We won’t come back to this hotel.
This hotel meet all my needs and very conveniently located for all my travels. A lot of the tour companies stop right out front of this hotel.
Breakfast
Nothing fancy, rooms small but ok. Hotel clean. Staff very nice. I would stay at this hotel again.
Great staff!
Great value. Very clean and convenient location. Included breakfast had everything I needed
Montréal great place found a speakeasy which was amazing the hotel was in a good location but the room was very small compared to the other hotels we stopped in & the bath room was to small
Onsite parking was full so we had to park in a lot about a block away. Room was very small.
Room was timy for the price.
Overall great accomodations, close to the center. One thing is that it takes a long time to get hot water in 9th floor shower.
Ok
le service aux desk etait tres ordinaire
Best
I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was walking distance to things. The staff that works there is very friendly. But I wasn't fond of the breakfast. It was the same thing every day. But the fresh fruit was good and the croissants were very yummy. I stayed on the 10th floor and the gentleman that was cleaning the room. Was very friendly and always in a good, happy mood.
Great location! Front desk staff very helpful. Breakfast had good selection when staff could keep up. Don't show up 10 minutes before breakfast service ends, though - they are already packing up and don't want you hanging around (and are quite rude about it). If it wasn't for the dining room experience, staff would get a 5 star rating. As attractive as the rooms with 4 beds may appear to be for families, the bunks hanging off the walls are smaller than singles and the other two beds aren't long enough for anyone over 5'8" tall, but they are comfortable for what they are.
Clean quiet room, nice breakfast
Room was very small.
This property was in the right location in town. Super safe and walkable to everywhere. Only downsides were the rooms were very small (and with two twin beds one doesn't have a headboard so your pillow falls off) and parking was very limited. That said, the beds were comfortable, super clean overall, nice staff, breakfast was continental (don't expect much) and it was the right price. You get what you pay for. I would go back.
Hotel is good, but we were given a Roman with clogged sink, it will be appreciated if rooms, water running and everything is checked before giving the room to customers. Room cost with free breakfast was reasonable price.
Close to everything we were interested to see or needed.
staff was friendly; good breakfast
Excellent location - walking distance to Old Montreal, St Catherine St and Quartier des Spectacles (Place de Arts). Rooms are clean and we were very happy with the breakfast that was provided during our stay.
Walkable to China town, Notre Dame, st Catherine street. Very good breakfast which is included in the cost of stay. I find this very convenient specially, with my mom who is 85 yrs old, and need food so can take her meds. No need to walk around to find a breakfast place. includes fruits, hard boiled egg, yogurt, juices, coffee, etc. Family favorite was the freshly baked croissant. The room was very clean and bed was quite comfy. If I would have to say one negative is that room was very small.
Great breakfast. Warm croissants. Close to many downtown attractions.
The place is in heart of downtown. The rooms are smal.the beds are single. The brakfast was terrible. The sraff at dinning was too trrible!! Parking $35 per night expensive compared to outside. I paid for 3 star recived a 2 atar services!
Room was not so good but acceptable. Nice staff. The breakfast was very limited and simple.
Lobby is clean and breakfast area is clean. We had a room on the first floor. Room was clean but small. Breakfast was not great- Limited selection and you couldn’t take food to your room. Location of the hotel is good.
3rd time staying here, i luv it
The hotel is conveniently located, the staff is helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast included is very simple.
No comments, as it is located in downtown core.
We arrived at the property to learn that we had to pay 35$ a night for parking. Not even that, but there was limited parking and couldn't even park in the underground parking. The room was really small. The bed was also hard as a rock, and we had to open the window because the ventilation was so bad, that we couldn't breath well at night. There are a lot of homeless people around the hotel and felt unsafe multiple time. I do not recommend.
Very close to ChinaTown, great grocery store, train station
It was a nice stay. I think that there could've been more amenities (e.g. bottled water, more cups) and it would've been nice to have our sheets changed rather than just the bed made. Overall a good location and stay though.
My stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The photos online suggested a much better quality of the rooms and facilities than what we actually experienced. Cleanliness was poor—the sheets were stained, and there were hairs on the pillowcases, so we had to request a change. The next day, the bathroom was barely cleaned, and on one occasion the coffee supplies were not replenished. Overall, the hotel feels old, with very small rooms and bathrooms, and the standard of cleanliness was consistently low. I would not return, nor would I recommend this hotel.
Our room needed some repairs but otherwise was very clean and quiet. The airport bus stops just in front of the hotel. Walkable to shopping and dining. Next-door to Chinatown.
The rooms were nicely renovated and modern. The continental breakfast was very good.
A lot of homeless and addicts around, room is very small looked nothing like the photos Staff where amazing
tiny room
Centrally located and clean. Great no frills accomodation in downtown Montreal.
I stayed at the Travelodge Montréal Centre from August 23–26, 2025 for three nights at $256.86 per night. For a three-star hotel downtown, the price was fair. I miss the old gift shop (now a hair salon) because the owner was always kind. The location is excellent. It’s across from Complexe Desjardins (Desjardins Complex) with shops and a food court, a two-minute walk to Place des Arts (The Arts Square) and the Quartier des Spectacles (Entertainment District), and close to Chinatown (Quartier Chinois), Vieux Montréal / Vieux Port (Old Montréal / Old Port), and the Centre Eaton de Montréal (Eaton Centre Mall) connected to the underground city. Restaurants are everywhere, and McGill, Concordia, and UQAM are all within walking distance. Check-in was slow and one key card didn’t work, but staff were polite. We switched rooms easily. Rooms are compact (~15 m²), fine for one or two people but tight for families. Ours had a bunk bed and two singles. Amenities included a Nespresso machine, mini fridge, hairdryer, toiletries, and towels. Some furniture was worn, one light didn’t work, and the A/C was noisy, but none ruined the stay. Breakfast (7–10:30 a.m.) had fruit, cereal, eggs, yogurt, pastries, coffee, and tea. Simple but filling. The gym is tiny, and the water fountain was replaced with an ice machine. Checkout was smooth, Jennifer was excellent, and we got our $100 deposit back. Overall, clean, reliable, and unbeatable for location. Solid 4.5/5.
Great location
I do NOT recommend this location as a place to stay. The ceilings in the room was pealing. The halls had a musky smell. The housekeeping staff did not do anything my first day; and knocked on guests doors to before 8AM and after 6PM.
Price was reasonable for downtown Montreal. Only issue was poor lighting in the room. The free breakfast was very good.
It is old building and the double bedrooms was not the way that they advertised on their website. Beds are small and hard to sleep on.
Overall good location
The bathroom had a constant bo odour, and the tv remote was a universal one that couldnt change any channels.
Always easy to stay here.
The location is convenient. If you drive, you have to park your car across the street. Overall the hotel is fair, but can improve the cleanliness
Location was excellent. Good breakfast. Excellent housekeeping service.
The property was very well situated, it was close to shopping, transportation. There were lots of dining options near the property. We felt very safe around the property. The free continental breakfast was very well run and clean. The room was smaller than expected, could use more hangers and hooks to hang items. Also could use more electrical outlets to charge phones and other electronics.
The rooms were very small. I was happy overall with the stay and the service. The exception was the breakfast. We were told that the continental breakfast was between 7 and 10:30am. We arrived at 9:45, but at 10:10 they started removing all the food. I wasn't even able to have a coffee before they took it away. The manager came over to our table and told us to hurry and finish breakfast, as they were locking the door at 10:30. I have NEVER had this happen at any of the other hundreds of hotels that I stayed at. This left a bad taste in my mouth.
It is close to everything. I have stayed there 5 times in the last 2 years.
The rooms are comfortable and modern. It's easy to walk to go sight seeing or shopping. I like the area it is in.
Room was quite small, but location was good, easy walkable distance to shopping along Sainte-Catherine Street, Chinatown, restaurants and Old Montreal and the Port area.
Na
Great! Exactly as expected, convenient location and great price!
Avoid at all costs
So the cons first: the rooms are small (i would say tiny but we just came back from japan) and very poorly insulated for sound (we were on the 4th floor and people yelling in the street sounded like they were right outside the window) people in the hall just walking sounded as if no door exaisted on the room. The pros, very clean, includes breakfast, super east walk to almost everything and a not bad walk or metro ride to the reat, staff is very helpful and luggage storage is free. I will note that when i booked on expedia the amenities listed laundry...there is NO guest laundry to be fair to the property that amenity isnt listed on their company site
Good overall stay. Great location to walk everywhere. Limited parking- had to go elsewhere.
Rien du tout
Drama for check in. The reservation somehow was under my spouse name, I was told my spouse must be in person when checking in, even I showed my reservation confirmation on my phone. Later after the staff checked with manager, finally we checked in. I think the staff may need to be trained to be more professional. After a long drive, I didn’t expect to be told we couldn’t check in, when my spouse was far away from us, and he had be there in person for checkin, first time experience. Arrived around 5:30 pm, no parking on site available, I had to park at public parking for first night. Staff helped us to identify possibilities nearby, thanks. Meanwhile, learnedly to call at 6 pm next morning to reserve parking spot, did so, but was told to go to front desk at 8 am to reserve, finally did what was told, got a parking spot on site for second night for $35 Canadian dollars, and over $40 after taxes per day. Luckily I got a spot for departure next day. If you drive to Montreal, be concerned parking conveniences. The continental morning breakfast is not good enough, only boiled eggs, no sausages, no bacons. Stayed on first floor near corner, no cold water from faucet for brushing teethes, even running tap water for a very long time, anyway, didn’t bother to complain, perhaps due to hot weather in August. The location is convenient for easy walking around. bed is clean.
