Loved this hotel! Amazing service - everyone so friendly and couldn’t do enough, well appointed rooms (fridge, tea/coffee/cable tv/hot shower/safe/air con/balcony/the biggest bed! Food - loads of breakfast choices - delicious and other food available all day and for dinner. BEST devil chicken ! Lovely location tucked off the main road so quiet and felt really calm surrounded by trees and a fantastic pool and sun loungers. Also WiFi was superb, had a work teams call with no problems. Thank you !

Majoitus oli upea & kaikki puitteet mahtavat. Sää ei harmillisesti sallinut köllötellä altaalla. Apinat viihdyttivät parvekkeella. Sänky oli todella iso ja huone muutenkin viihtyisä. Etätyöläiselle täydellinen hotelli 👍🏼 Ystävällinen ja joustava henkilökunta.

Ei paljon miinuksia, ainoastaan pyykkipalvelussa kesti ja lopulta sain kosteat pyykit sekä mm. sukka katosi matkalla :D

Nähe zum Strand und ruhige Lage, Zimmer relativ modern und ein gutes Frühstück.

Als wir ankamen wurde uns zunächst ein falsches Zimmer zugeteilt. Wir hatten zuvor ein Zimmer mit Mosquitonetz angefragt und dieses war in dem Zimmer nicht vorhanden. Das Personal hat uns direkt ein neues Zimmer zugeteilt. In der Zwischenzeit haben wir in dem alten Zimmer gewartet und dabei bemerkt, dass dieses extrem modrig gerochen hat. Als wir dann im neuen Zimmer waren, haben wir auch hier direkt einen modrigen Geruch wahrgenommen. Vor dem Schlafen war das leider so extrem, dass wir das Hotelpersonal kontaktiert haben und diese uns ein Alternativzimmer angeboten haben. Dort war der Geruch aber leider auch nicht besser. Nach reichlichem Lüften mussten wir dann in unserem Zimmer schlafen, wobei wir uns jedoch sehr unwohl gefühlt haben, da der Gestank wirklich unerträglich war und wir Atemprobleme bekamen. Da es im Zimmer sehr feucht ist, vermuten wir, dass im Zimmer sehr viel Schimmel ist, der vermutlich einfach überstrichen wurde (sieht auch an manchen Stellen so aus). Am nächsten Morgen war der modrige Geruch auch im Badezimmer unerträglich und abartig. Wir haben das dem Personal/Manager auch beim Auschecken nochmal gesagt und uns wurde gesagt, dass diese Kritik zum ersten Mal kam und es Ihnen Leid tut. Dieses Feedback ist jedoch in einigen anderen Kommentaren auch zu lesen. Fazit: Der Geruch ist absolut inakzeptabel, insbesondere vor dem Hintergrund, dass die Unterkunft verhältnismäßig teuer ist. Ggf. sind andere Zimmer besser, aber wir würden definitiv nicht mehr wiederkommen und allen vehement von einem Aufenthalt abraten. Es war leider mit großem Abstand die schlechteste Unterkunft, die wir in Sri Lanka hatten.

No estaba limpia la habitación, reservamos una habitación con vistas al jardín y nos dieron un zulo, los baños estaban sucios, y las instalaciones antiguas, cuando nos cambiaron a la otra habitación, había pelos en la almohada chica y la almohada grande la funda no cubría entera por lo que se veía la almohada con moho

Wij kwamen als gezin van 5, 3 meiden en mijn ouders. 3 nachten. We zijn erg positief over het verblijf. Het hotel ziet er schoon uit eveneens als de kamers. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze brachten de koffers op en neer desondanks de vele trappen. (Handig voor henzelf een lift aan te schaffen i.v.m. de koffers) Verder een gunstige locatie vlakbij alles. Het boeken zeker waard.

‘s avonds echter wel minder fijn het hotel te verlaten (te voet), veel straathonden en geen verlichting.

Struttura esternamente accogliente e molto carina. Colazione buona anche se con poca scelta.

Camere datate rovinate (nella nostra c’era un’anta dell’armadio staccata e abbandonata a fianco e varie migliorie da apportare). Il personale capiva pochissimo l’inglese quindi c’è stata difficoltà di comprensione. Per arrivare all’albergo bisogna fare una strada buia di notte e piena di immondizie.

We had a really lovely stay here! The location was very central, which made it super convenient to explore the area. The pool was absolutely wonderful and perfect for relaxing after a day out. The breakfast was quite simple, but really tasty and a great way to start the day. We also loved the rooftop terrace to sit. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They even printed something for us when we needed it and they kindly let us leave our backpacks there during the day after checking out. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here!

The staff were so friendly, able to leave luggage for both early check in and late check out and they offered you use of the pool whilst waiting. Beds were so comfortable and best shower pressure so far after 3 weeks of traveling. Great quiet Location Food was good

Das Hotel hat eine grossartige Lage in einer ruhigen Gegend - perfekt für einen Aufenthalt mit der Familie. Das Personal ist insgesamt sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und wir haben uns über den herzlichen Empfang sehr gefreut.

Resepsiyon çok ilgili ve güleryüzlüydü. Odalar temiz ve havuzu bakımlıydı. Sinek problemi için düzenli ilaçlama yapılıyor. Kahvaltısı çok güzeldi, özellikle avokadolu tostuna bayıldık.

Great location not far from beaches to walk. Beautiful suite with great hot showers & water pressure for washing long hair. Something that I rarely experienced whilst travelling Sri Lanka. Peaceful pool for swimming Great breakfast Excellent staff, all friendly & welcoming.

This isn’t really a “didn’t like” but often the foods listed on the menu of restaurant wasn’t available. That said the good they did have was good.

Nos gustó mucho la habitación y el trato del personal. Tiene los detalles de un hotel grande sin llegar a serlo. La piscina un lujo si vienes de la playa con calor. Tiene aire y el baño esta muy bien. E incluso tiene una terracita para dejar el bañador y relajarte. De los que más nos gustó, lo recomendamos.

Emplacement sympas - piscine très agréable et personne l’ai petit soin. On recommande +++ Meilleur hébergement que nous ayons eu au Sri Lanka. Nous sommes restés que deux nuits car nous avions terminé nos vacances mais nous serions restés bien plus longtemps. Petit déjeuner incroyable

This property is a little gem in Mirissa. The location is good , nearby the beach , shops and restaurants. It’s clean and well looked after. The swimmer is very nice. The food prepared in the kitchen is amazing . You definitely need to trice the rice and curry . The staff is just exceptional, so kind and friendly . This is truly an amazing place to stay .

Bad smell of rubbish just outside the property on the road, I know it is not just hotels problem but could be cleaned up a little bit for guests walking in and out.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per 4 notti. Lo staff è davvero gentile e disponibile per qualsiasi domanda o richiesta. La stanza molto ampia e pulita dotata sia di pala che di aria condizionata. La colazione è molto ricca e di ottima scelta.

La nostra stanza era perennemente in ombra per cui abbiamo avuto umidità durante tutto il soggiorno, ma sicuramente è legato alla posizione della stanza.

Een heel fijn kleinschalig hotel met grote kamers en groot en fijn bed. Heerlijk zwembad om in af te koelen. Ligt op loopafstand van het strand en leuke restaurants. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en flexibel. Lekker ontbij waar je uit een aantal gerechten kan kiezen. Duurt hierdoor wel iets langer om te bereiden, maar was heerlijk.

De planken bij het zwembad zijn wel aan vervanging toe. Verder op slippers niet veel hinder van. Het weggetje naar het restaurant nodigt niet echt uit (afval en wat honden), maar geen problemen mee gehad.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the swimming pool was clean, well-maintained, and enjoyable.

Unfortunately, there was a strong odor coming from the bathroom that spread into the room. Although the staff made an effort to address the issue, the smell persisted throughout our stay.

What did you like about the property? The property was beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. The pool was great, the room was comfortable, and the location was convenient. A special thanks to Tharusha, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. He made our stay even more enjoyable.

Logement très sympathique à 2 pas de la rue principale. Piscine très agréable. Ils nous permis de louer un scooter qui nous attendait déjà à notre arrivée et ont été constamment à notre écoute. Logement à recommander tout à fait conforme à la description et aux photos. Petit déjeuner très correct.

El equipo humano es espectacular. Atentos, educados y majos. El desayuno es increíble, fruta, zumo, cafe, te, huevos, salchichas, aguacate, mermelada…, lo que quieras oara reventar de comer. La ubicaciön perfecta, a dos min andando de la carretera tiendas, playas y restaurantes y sin nada de ruido.

Por poner una pega, el baño es un poco anticuado, por lo menos en mi habitacion.

Heartfelt service: The entire staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always greeted us with a warm smile.Impeccable cleanliness: The rooms were absolutely spotless and perfectly prepared, making us feel comfortable right away.Fantastic pool: The pool area was pristine and well-maintained—the perfect spot for a refreshing swim after a long day.Tasty breakfast: The food in the morning was very delicious and provided a great start to our day.

Inconsistent breakfast: It was a bit disappointing that the breakfast setup varied—on one day toast was included, but the next day it was missing completely.Broken bathroom door: The door to the bathroom could not be locked or properly closed from the inside, which limited our privacy a bit.Defective shower: The showerhead was in terrible condition. Water sprayed with high pressure in all directions, flooding the entire bathroom. To top it off, the showerhead completely fell off while we were showering.

The pool area is dangerously with the wooden planks loose and broken in parts- would give a bad cut if stepped on the rusty nails or splintered wood The bathroom window and the balcony doors didn’t close fully so we did have some geckos and mosquitos in the room which wasn’t the best. (So many mosquitoes around the pool away and sit on top of the water as well incase your prone to being bitten) No housekeeping unless asked so no water refills unless asked either (not a big problem just a note, we didn’t want to bother people asking) The small stretch of road to get to the main road was very dark at night and some stray dogs barking and following us was scary.

We would have liked to stay longer. We could have easily spent 3 weeks in this hotel and in the lovely Mirissa. The staff at this hotel is extremely friendly and extremely helpful. Very good location at few meters to everything (shops, restaurants, beach…). Everything was perfect! Breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere with plenty of choices like avocado toast, American breakfast, and pancakes. A clean and well-maintained swimming pool. Good daily room cleaning. But above all, what we will remember the most is the entire hotel team who was very attentive to our 5-year-old son. All the staff played with him daily. The experience for him was extraordinary. And on the top of all that, our child had played with a banknote and slipped it into the safety box without telling us. At check-out, this fairly high-value banknote was returned to us by the hotel staff after they checked the room. Perfect honesty and good reliability from the staff! Special mention to the managers, the chef, and also the security guard. We hope to come back to Mirissa, and it is clear that we won't hesitate for a second, we will happily stay at Aura by Epic Collection again!

5 days was too short!

The pool.

Disappointing stay overall considering the price paid. I booked this hotel for two nights during low season in Sri Lanka, and the experience was far below expectations given the rate. There was a major issue with the payment process. The booking was made with the option to pay in advance by card through Booking.com, however the hotel refused to accept or process the payment on their side. I had to deal directly with Booking.com for two days to make sure I wouldn’t be double charged. In the end it was resolved, but it left a very negative impression and added unnecessary stress to the stay. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom had visible mold and cleanliness issues. On top of that, there were problems with hot water when trying to shower, which is unacceptable at this price point. I also ordered a cappuccino priced at 950 LKR, which had no real taste and felt like watered-down coffee, yet it was still charged without any gesture or acknowledgment from the staff. Overall, while the room itself was acceptable, the combination of service issues, maintenance problems, and poor value for money means I would not recommend this hotel.

Our two-week stay was absolutely superb. From the warm welcome drink to the heartfelt farewell, the service was world-class and made us feel right at home. The facilities—especially the pool and the wildlife-filled gardens—are stunning. The entire team, though small, is truly amazing. Every member of staff went out of their way for us, including the chef who prepared incredible meals, and the waiters and room service team, who were always attentive and smiling. They kept everything spotless, and the security staff made us feel safe and looked after throughout our stay. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the beach and local restaurants, with supermarkets and shops nearby. The managers are incredible and can organise any excursion at excellent rates; our trip to Yala National Park to see elephants and crocodiles was a major highlight. A special thank you for the romantic Valentine’s Day dinner—it was the best meal of our entire holiday! They truly went above and beyond for us. We cannot recommend this place enough and hope to return soon."

We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to major attractions.

La salle de bain mériterait d’être rénovée, les murs étant marqués par l’humidité.

Erg leuk hotel. Kleine 200 meter van de drukke weg dus stil en rustig. Kamer is ruim, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Vanuit het hotel is het strand, leuke barretjes en restaurantjes op loop afstand. Wij sliepen hier 2 nachten.

L’hôtel est très confortable cependant pensez bien à vérifier vos messages sur booking car l’hôtel a voulu supprimer notre réservation 1 jour avant notre arrivé pour cause : surbooking. Hors j’ai réservé et confirmé ma réservation 1 mois avant mon arrivée. C’est dommage car nous avons eu que des expériences incroyables au Sri Lanka et j’avoue que ça a mitigé notre séjour là bas. Du coup je suis pas sûr de recommander l’établissement car c’est inacceptable de faire ça !

Good location near the Main Street and easy walking distance from the beach, bars and restaurants. Quiet. Staff and hotel manager was amazing and helped me changed room when I arrive as the one I was offered had a lot of mold due to the humidity. There was anti-mosquitoes plug in the room, quite helpful. Food was good

Should renovate rooms, the tuktuk mafia in town is quite annoying and there are some right at the end of the street which made it hard to order uber or tuktuk. Stray dogs at night on the street to the hotel, I was barked at but the hotel security guard helped me pass them.

Super lovely staff, great room and beautiful pool. Loved it

The location is ideal due to it maintaining close proximity to the main street without being too close. We did not experience any traffic noise and only had to walk 1 or 2 minutes to get in to the action.

The water in the bathroom was a real issue. Some days the sink didn't work at all and the water temperature in the shower was consistently inconsistent.
