Frühstück im Untergeschoss ohne Tageslicht, Zimmeraustattung schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Hotel ist eigentlich nur 4 Sterne, keine Ahnung wie der 5.Stern begründet ist, die Rooftopbar war das einzige mit 5Sterne-Niveau

The location was good and the general standard of the hotel was good.

There were many things about this hotel that were disappointing. 1. I found a stain on the towel as soon as I had checked in, so the cleanliness was lacking. 2. The beds and pillows were unbelievably uncomfortable. 3. Very understaffed at the restaurants; service was horrendous because of that. For the amount that we were paying for 4 nights, you would expect an actual 4-star hotel, but if anything I'd give it a 2. Safe to say I won't be staying here again.

Convenient and very comfortable rooms The rooftop pool area was great but a little tightly packed and pool cold.

The pool is nice, the view over the Acropolis is great. Breakfast was good, the restaurant was excellent but expensive.

Our check in was handled very badly as our bicycles were a problem (nowhere else found them so)!

Good room size, lovely neighbourhood & lovely view of the Acropolis - (historical sites not walkable - but uber is easy).

The pool is on the roof, not easy to get into / out of - also really windy. This is a really big hotel (conference hotel) - so doesn't have as much charm as others.

Location of the hotel and friendly personnel. I was able to use the Wi-Fi in my room and conduct my business meeting. We really enjoyed the restaurant for dinner with the great roof top view of the city!

We were really pleased with the hotel! Our stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed it. We were sorry we didn’t have enough time to experience the pool! We would recommend this hotel in the future.

We had a great time staying at Divani Caravel, Hotel is in the centre of Athens, with all amenities needed like Gym, Sauna, Pool etc.. But the best part is the staff, a huge Thank You to Apostolos and Victor at the front desk who made this trip unforgettable. Can only recommend, we will return

Location clean nice staff

I booked because was highly rated for handicap people. The Pool and upstairs resturant are not axcessable. You have to enter and leave the Property from a door that is unattended and is always locked with a key. There are no grab rails in the bathrooms to get off toliets.

The room it’s clean and big

The location is far from the city center. The staff were not very accommodating regarding early check-in, and we had to pay for half a day. The booking did not include breakfast. Breakfast was quite expensive, especially considering that other hotels included breakfast in the room rate. The parking fee is also very high at €35 per day. Overall, there are very few advantages because almost everything comes at an additional cost. Even the water in the room is only complimentary on the first day.

Overall a great hotel with comfortable and cosy rooms. Fantastic breakfast. The staff were all lovely.

The food and drinks were very overpriced (5 Euros for a small carton of water?), the music at the pool seemed unnecessary.

The family room was really dark, with no view outside the small windows. The bed mattress was very hard that made sleeping very uncomfortable. We requested a room change but we were told that all the mattresses were the same and we were offered pillows for under our legs! Considering it was for a special occasion it was very disappointing

The staff made it for us! From the start of our stay we were upgraded once we arrived, at the all day restaurant they have very professional, friendly and accommodating staffs. I cannot thank the pool staff enough especially the nice touch of remembering my sons favourite ice-cream flavour every time we used the pool bar. The hotel itself is modern, spacious but I think what made it such a lovely stay was how kind everyone working at the hotel was that also included housekeeping. I found what I ordered in their restaurant delicious and the breakfast in the morning had a wide selection from warm to cold selections enough to accommodate everyone's taste. Loved our stay in Divani Caravel 🙂

Hotel in ottima posizione, lontano dal caos ma vicino alla metro e in un ottimo quartiere. La piscina ed il rooftop bar sono fantastici. Godersi il sole di giorno ed un ottimo cocktail la sera con vista sul Partenone non ha prezzo. Non abbiamo incluso la colazione perchè ritenuta troppo costosa per le nostre abitudini a colazione ma abbiamo letto che altri ospiti l'hanno giudicata eccellente.

Non abbiamo alcun punto di malcontento.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Lage lediglich ein wenig weiter vom Zentrum, aber nicht tragisch.

Not much . It’s an old time hotel so luggage service is good. Other than that it’s not an attractive place to say the least. The pleasant “atmosphere” which makes you stay is just not there.

ניקיון ותחזוקה- אחד החדרים היה עם מלא נמלים, אחרי שהערנו שלחו את שירות החדרים לנקות, אבל למחרת בבוקר הופיעו שוב. בחדר השני היה מזרן מזעזע- פשוט לא מתאים למלון שמכבד את עצמו. נגישות של המלון- באופן מפתיע יש כמה מקומות. בהם המלון אינו נגיש- כמו למשל הכניסה הראשית של המלון בה צריך לטפס 4 מדרגות עם עגלה.

It is too far removed from the consciences of city amenities, restaurants & shopping to warrant these rates! The beds were super firm (think of a slab!) & low to the ground (tough on bad knees). The front desk staff was generally ok … friendly (sort of - as a “southerner” I anticipate everyone loving their job & customers and showing it - apparently not the case here) - at check in I was asked to pay an additional fee & sent on my way- I had to ask for “typical” check in information (hours for breakfast, restaurants, etc) & the password for their WiFi (No info given at check in - bc their isn’t one! It’s unsecured!! Wow!) I also had to ask numerous times for an additional pillow (2 standard pillows on a king bed?) While the roof top pool area is lovely, the staff were borderline rude and completely incompetent. Also - beware of the pool tiles! Wow they are slippery!

A stay at Divani Caravel was truly memorable and emotional. This year we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary, and 40 years ago we spent our honeymoon here, making this return very special. We informed the hotel in advance, and the management made our stay wonderful by upgrading us to a suite and surprising us with sweets and thoughtful touches in our room. We felt very welcomed and appreciated. A special thank you to Angeline from the Concierge Desk, who was kind and highly professional. She helped us book an MSC cruise for the next day and arranged everything quickly and smoothly. We are very grateful to the Divani Caravel team for their exceptional hospitality and for making our anniversary so special. After 40 years, Caravel still holds a special place in our hearts. ❤️ Thank you for making us feel at home again. Remon and Samira Nuqul.

Bathtub was mentioned as it’s included to the booked room. But no bathtub. I told to the staff and was asked to email about it. Then no reply.

On the positive side, the hotel staff were all very professional and friendly. The property is very attractive and worthy of 5 stars. The facilities were fantastic. The room was very comfortable.

Firstly, some areas that I believe need improvement- this is meant to be constructive feedback. The front entrance to the hotel should include a ramp. I found using the stairs quite challenging. Given that the water from taps is not drinkable, the hotel should provide bottles of drinking water on a daily basis. eg one bottle per person. Charging 6 Euro for a large bottle gets very expensive. Also, a kettle should be available for tea drinkers - the 'hot water' from the coffee machine was not hot enough. In addition, when I asked for a larger cup for tea, the hotel didn't have any.

Great location, close to many attractions. The staff were lovely, and I really appreciated the complimentary room upgrade. The room was clean and comfortable.

Complimentary water was only provided at check-in. It would be nice to have it replenished daily.

The location is good. Services - pool, gym, spa, restaurants - are not great but at least they have them. The pool is small, deep so not the best for young children, and extremely busy.

Prices are on par with major city five star hotels, but the quality of services, food, amenities and facilities are suboptimal, feels like visiting a hotel in the 1990s or early 2000s. Coordinating with the hotel concierge was impossible, I got a different answer every time, they were not even able to order me a taxi to pick us up at the port.

The location was very good. 10 mins taxi ride to Acropolis and short walk to many near by restaurants. An employee that stood out and was very nice & friendly was the bellhop/valet Dimitri. He shared a nice conversation with my son about their favourite soccer/football team Olympiacos.

Our initial room view was HORRIBLE (see pictures). It felt like a prison yard. We were 3 adults. We complained to management and wanted to check out the following day and go somewhere else. We were told if you are 3 people all rooms have the same awful view. We were told only 2 people rooms are in the front with a better view. We had initially booked for 5 nights. Management was not very accommodating and would not reimburse us if we checked out early, because we booked through booking.com. We begged and pleaded without success. After all the fuss, they did however change our room to a room with a better view and kindly included the daily breakfast for free. In the end, we did enjoy our stay. One thing worth mentioning is the roof top pool, it’s a good size, but the lounge chair area is very small and crowded. Also the pool is not kid friendly. There is 1 ladder in the shallow end and 1 in the deep end. If you don’t use the ladder, you have to jump in, there are no steps. Hard to get out of the pool as the ladder is high up off the bottom of the pool. Also the water is not filled up enough, it’s so low that you can’t stick your foot in to feel the temperature of the water. Breakfast was really good, lots of variety.

Plaats ontbijtruimte geen daglicht, dat doet afbreuk aan de sfeer.

Sotiris was extremely kind. Hope he gets more recognition for his excellent service.

Andreas, the bartender at the Divani Caravel Hotel, was an absolute pleasure to watch in action. He was warm, personable, and made every guest feel welcome. Just as impressive was the skill and precision with which he practiced his craft—every drink was prepared with confidence, flair, and attention to detail. He turned making cocktails into a form of entertainment, and spending time at the bar became one of the highlights of my stay.
