- 3 minutes walk to mrt - hotel connected to the tanglin mall -breakfast was fabulous - variety of fresh fruits in breakfast - they also gave us a yummy complimentary cake to celebrate our son’s birthday

- there is less space in breakfast area - had to wait in a long queue to be seated for breakfast

A bit inconvenient as no food court nearby. Nothing to see around the hotel. Bathroom a bit small. Food variety not good enough in breakfast.

check-in speed and being seated for morning buffet is slow. each staff has different way of checking in, 1st day i met newer staff which took at least 20mins to complete the check-in, 2 rooms for 5 persons but each room given with 1 room key only. 2nd day with connecting room, so we have moved to another rooms by other staff, more experienced and faster process, without asking for more room cards, he has gave us 2 cards for each rooms , thats makes more sense. the rooms setup for day 1 and day 2 rooms are not consistent. day 1 you can get 2 cups in the room, day 2 you can get 4 cups in the room. As Shangri-la standard and sop would be very consistent, even the points i mentioned seems not very big deal but if it under the name of “Shangri-La”, it should have the strict sop.

Really friendly, helpful staff. Fantastic quality food and an incredibly wide selection of food and drinks to choose from. Room well designed and comfortable. Great beds.

Sehr gutes Hotel, gute Lage direkt an der MRT Station, Einkaufscenter mit Essensmöglichleiten gleich nebenan . Super nettes Personal, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten schnell zu erreichen. Schöne Poolarea. Sehr sauber und ordentlich und große Zimmer für Singapur zu einem sehr guten Preis-Leistumgsverhältnis.

The location near Orchard Road and the MRT Orchard Boulevard is great. Also looks very the fact it’s connected to Tanglin Mall. Many good shops.

Maintenance of equipment. The hairdryer and safe not properly maintained.

The cleanliness and comfort. Friendliness of staff and location of property. Good breakfast options. The gym facilities were an additional.Sorry we never had time to try out the pool.

Breakfast here is legendary, but not for every day as there are great alternatives in the Tanglin Mall. They have an amazing Seafood Buffet on Thursday nights that is worth every SG$. Mountains of Lobster, piles of prawns and excellent singapore specialities like chilli crab.

The excellent health spa is no longer operating and the buildings around the roof top pool are looking tired. The pool is a very popular place to hang out.

The location was perfect, the rooms were big for a family of 4, the connected mall had breakfast options and 7/11 was very close-by.

The food was expensive.

This hotel did the job, but would not be a place I will rush back to. Check in took over 20 minutes; there was a funky drain smell in the room; and for the price, I would be expecting more than an empty minibar fridge and instant coffee. But location was great, bed was clean, sleep quality was good.

Many positives from our stay here but I think 2 night was enough. Overall I'd recommend it for a short stay but I probably would try a different hotel in Singapore for a longer stay. Location - Very good. Directly opposite an entrance to Orchard Boulevard MRT station giving easy access to the rest of the city. If you're in town for Sightseeing it's also a short walk from two of the Sightseeing Bus stations. First impressions I was a little taken aback as I wasn't expecting it to be directly connected to a shopping mall. The lobby area was chaos and very busy as a result, but we were served quickly each time we needed front desk and they were generally friendly. Room - The room was nice, but very small even by big city standards. There wasn't really enough room for our cases (2 large and 2 small), and the bathroom was tiny. Other than the size, it was nicely decorated, comfortable (size aside) and clean. Facilities were great, the hotel had quite a large outdoor pool and a well equipped gym. Service at the pool was efficient but the quality of the food and drinks weren't worth the price. We had a late flight and there was changing room facilities for us to freshen up before our taxi back to the airport, although the soap dispensers were completely empty in both showers. Lastly - whilst the hotel was spotlessly clean, I have no idea which cleaning product housekeeping were using but it smelt like vomit, which left a very unpleasant smell all throughout the hallway on our floor each day. Overall - a good value stay in a decent hotel, but with room to improve in areas and as mentioned I wouldn't stay here any longer than 2 nights.
