Excellent location for anybody passing through Upington on their way to the Kgalagadi.

I liked the set up of the room. I liked the view from the room. I liked the showers water temperature. It was hot but not burning your skin hot. I like that they give you sanitary bags. I liked the air conditioner in each room.

I didn't like how the desk didn't have its own chair. The mini couches are practical to a certain extent.

Dinner was a disappointment. Ordered the sole fish with Vegetables n rice. Vegetables over grilled more like charred. Rice going off.

So, there were a group of Woman in the bar which was close to the room we had. They were very loud until 22.00 when the bar closed. I mentioned it to reception in the morning and it was clear they were aware.

The staff was super friendly and went out their way to help. The hotel was clean and breakfast was good and full continental Buffett. We had a room facing the Orange River, this was great.

It was not 4 star but I maybe out of touch of how the rating are done now.

Every time our key cards locked and reception to re-activate.

The Staff. The were the best. The hotel is beautiful. The bed is super comfy.

The road facing room, it was loud. Slightly expensive for breakfast not included. The soap dispensers were empty. The TV can connect to the internet, but there was an issue.

Hotel staff very friendly but big group left and clearly not enough people to clean up and get ready for new guests. Passage still full of trays left standing for hours

Das Hotel bietet ein sehr reichhaltiges und gutes Frühstück. Wenn man man ein Zimmer mit Flussblick gemietet hat, kann man die traumhafte Aussicht auf den Oranje River genießen. Ansonsten sind die Zimmer sehr zweckmäßig und gut ausgestattet. Neben dem Restaurant im Hotel, sind auch noch ein Hennie's und ein Red Ox Steakhouse in 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Für abendlich Ausflüge bietet sich eine Schiffsfahrt mit Sakki se Arkie, die einem traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge präsentiert und dabei leckere Getränke zum Verzehr anbietet.

Der Pool ist etwas sehr schmal und es sind auch keine Liegen vorhanden. Die Zimmer könnten mal eine Renovierung gebrauchen.

Tolles großes Zimmer, das war wirklich top nach den Tagen im KTP!

Breakfast was great. Staff were warm and friendly. They deserve a bonus for sure. Both stays in December, we were welcomed and remembered when checking in again. It was a pleasant experience for my family and I. We are definitely staying at Marriot Upington when we come through Upington again. Can't wait to see those friendly smiles and warm welcome. Keep it up!!!

The Wi-Fi was very horrible. I ended up having to use my own Wi-Fi for work.

would like to bring to your attention a concern regarding the cleanliness of my room. While the room appeared generally tidy, it was not cleaned to a complete standard. I noticed dead insects under the bed and along the skirting boards, Because of this, the room did not feel fully clean.

A lot of noise from the pub next door, the walls and floors carry a lot of noise when people walk around.

Great location, friendly staff, value for money

Pool requires maintenance

The hotel is very modern with a lovely central courtyard, with small pool and child paddling pool attached. The staff provided swimming aids for children when other guests asked for them. There are undercover areas and the restaurant has air conditioning. So you can pick how hot and humid you want to be. Our room size and view of the Orange river was excellent. Secure parking to the rear of the property. Food was good and large selection at breakfast buffet. Staff were excellent.

The room flooring could do with being levellled and renewed. This was of course specific to our room. The climate is very hot and humid in summer, which meant our air conditioning was dropping water into the sink area. We reduced this by mopping up the water and switching off the air con overnight.

The room had no cold water, which is useless when you have travelled in the heat and want a cool shower. They tried to change rooms for us but the same problem and then just said it was a warm day and couldn't be helped. Having come from the Kgalagadi and remote locations (which all had cold water) it's ridiculous that a more expensive hotel can't provide such a basic requirement. Air con unit continuously leaked water, so was also unusable. Ants in the bathroom. Basic selection of TV channels and one remote for two TVs, which meant the other TV would randomly turn on. Hotel is next to a busy bar, so there was loud music from the moment we turned up until about 11pm. Everything that couldn't be provided here is provided in remote chalets in the national park and offered in more 'basic' lodge choices in Upington. Breakfast was fine but for some reason had loud dance music playing, which was totally unnecessary.
