Reviewed Sep 17, 2026First trip to Uppington and I will book here everytime I go back. Staff was friendly, accomodation was great and the breakfast was delicious.
The parking situation is a little scary if you need to leave super early, but was easily solved.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026This is my third stay at Le Must. I love staying in the main house. Unfortunately I thought I had booked Room 1 through booking.com, but was given a dark room at the back. The manager was very accommodating and we could move to the front room for two of the three nights.

The location of the house right on the river makes it special and the manager and the staff are all very nice and available for any request. Definitely recommend it, also considering the very good price/quality.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026The room was comfortable, spacious with an en-suite bathroom and situated in a very pleasant, leafy garden and courtyard. There were several nice welcoming touches including a range of teas and coffee, rusks, biscuits, juice and water. There is a great view over the river from the dining room. Traditional breakfast was freshly made and great value. Good vehicle security in courtyard.
It was tricky to control water temperature in the shower, the milk pump wasn’t working on the coffee machine at breakfast - both minor issues.

The room was immaculate and very comfortable, with all the amenities. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. I intend to stay there each time I visit Upington.

Our every need was catered for and we simply loved the beautiful and home away from home setting. We highly recommend this property and hope to be back to experience their warmth again.

I got a phone call just after 4 in the morning asking me to move my vehicle because other people staying wanted to leave. There should be some sort of system and co-ordination put in place to prevent this from happening.

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026I have been coming to Le Must for decades and use it as my stopover in Upington. Le Must is like a grand old lady, beautiful and dignified. That said, the bathrooms are modern and generously furnished, the beds are good and firm and the bed linen is fresh and clean. Breakfast is made for you, to order and you can get pretty much anything you want.
Rather have percolated coffee than coffee from the fancy machine.

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026I booked this place for my mothers birthday for a weekend getaway in Upington. The staff went absolutely out of their way to help me set up a custom platter and MCC for her on arrival. Not only that, but they provided some extras like flowers and cupcakes that were a complete surprise even to me. They made sure to make her weekend extra special and she absolutely loved it. The place is also gorgeous. The building is extremely interesting to explore and it has a stunning garden and ofcourse a fantastic view of the orange river. The breakfast that was included was great too (from what I heard from my mother). I am extremely satisfied choosing Le Must Riverfront Residence as a weekend birthday getaway for my mother. To the staff: thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Reviewed Mar 17, 2026What was intended as a one night transit ended up being a 3 night stay due to our landrover break down in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park 😩 Tercia (Le Must Manageress) could not have been more accommodating, helpful, generous and kind - Thank you. Le Must was an oasis at the end of a 10 night 4x4 adventure! Our rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The lounge and terrace area was comfortable. The garden - on the edge of the Orange River - was lush with a much needed pool, loungers and tables / chairs. A good buffet + à la carte breakfast is available in the dining room or on the terrace. Tercia provided good restaurant recommendations. We went to the Red Ox every night! It’s excellent! We highly recommend Le Must!

Das Haus bez. Einrichtung braucht unbedingt mehr Aufmerksamkeit!!! Der Grillbereich ist leider nicht gepflegt und der schöne Pool ist ekelhaft. Da will man nicht drin schwimmen, wie Schade!

Frühstück eine Katastrophe. Uns wurde beim Empfang mitgeteit dass es ab 7.00 verfügbar ist. Um 7.00 wurde langsam aufgetischt. Kaffeemaschine defekt. Toast mit verkochten poached eggs. Konfitüre leer.

Reviewed Nov 2, 2025In der Le Must Residenz haben wir uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, unser großes Zimmer hatte Blick zum traumhaften Hofgarten. Ein parkähnlicher Garten, mit kleinem Pool und netter Terrasse liegt direkt am Ufer des Oranje. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Gute Restaurants und Geschäfte sind in der Nähe. Wir können die Residenz uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Reviewed Sep 29, 2025mooi oud gebouw, heel vriendelijke ontvangst, zeer grote kamer, beetje oude stijl, maar klassevol en zeer proper. Grote badkamer met heerlijk bad en douche en veel licht. We hadden avondeten gevraagd en hebben nog nooit zo’n lekkere boboti gegeten! Omdat de groenten een beetje aangebrand waren kregen we t dessert on the house, wat zeker niet nodig was maar wel geapprecieerd werd. Prachtige tuin ook met ligging aan de Oranjerivier. Kregen upgrade naar grotere kamer. Ontbijtbuffet vrij goed en uitgebreid, wel lekkere eitjes
Parking zeer klein dus je moet kunnen manoeuvreren, maar ze helpen je wel. Bed en hoofdkussen beetje hard.

La ciudad es realmente poco atractiva. Sólo estuvimos de paso para visitar el parque transaccional de kalahady. Sin embargo esta residencia es perfecta.
