The hotel is all about location. It is directly beachfront by the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Room was comfortable and had everything you need plus also included beach chairs and umbrella which is a plus. Hotel itself doesn’t offer much amenities but again is all about location. Parking is little pricey. Staff was friendly and professional.

Where to even start? This hotel is very misrepresented. I paid for and expected an upscale, historic hotel with an amazing view. What I got was a party hotel, no sleep and an obstructed view. I booked the deluxe king room with oceanfront view. See my photo for the view I got. Half of the window was covered with privacy film you can’t see through. The yogurt shop inside the hotel, aka teen rave, blared ghetto music the whole time. Louder than our tv and a/c. The people in the next room literally partied until 5:30am. An actual party with music and yelling and it was allowed. We got NO sleep. As for the historic part—they ripped all the amazing character out and “renovated” it with ikea quality everything. Very, very disappointing

The front desk staff was very accommodating, my room was most comfortable and I feel it is the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in! The staff was constantly washing, vacuuming , etc. the place just smelled so clean and fresh!

I’ve stayed here probably 5 times now, over the course of 10 years. Fantastic location, love that they have a parking lot. This visit, the room was a little small, although it’s my first stay where I had a friend in the same room so maybe that’s why. Staff is always helpful and friendly. And walkability is the best part of the location. Will stay again for sure!

The location and the size of the hotel. The hotel provides chairs and umbrellas in your room so you can go to the beach anytime. You’re not at the mercy of the companies that rent them on the beach. It is a newly renovated hotel and quite lovely.

This is our third time staying at the Sheldon Hotel, and we truly love almost everything about it. The staff has always been wonderful, and the location is hard to beat. Unfortunately, the one issue that continues to affect our stay is the constant loud music coming from Andias Yogurt Shop. If you look at the picture of the front of the building, it’s just right of the front door semi attached to the Sheldon building. Your staff mentioned that there have been multiple complaints from guests about the noise, yet the situation does not appear to have improved. I noticed that the loud speaker is mounted just a few inches from the wall of the Sheldon and directly below the guest room windows. If turning the music off isn’t an option, perhaps the speaker could be relocated to the front of the yogurt shop. The yogurt building itself might then help block some of the sound from traveling directly into the hotel’s walls and guest rooms. We truly enjoy staying at the Sheldon and would hate to stay somewhere else because of this one issue. However, if the noise continues, we may have to consider a quieter hotel for future visit.

It was right across from the beach and our room came with beach towels and chairs and the AC worked well. There were plenty of restaurants nearby as well as stores for incidentals.

The room was a bit DIY looking and didn't match the level of style and niceness as the lobby. The bathroom shower handle kept coming off and the bathroom was a tad bit grubby. The bed sheets were pilled and uncomfortable to sleep on.

Location and front desk staff.

We checked in and were given room 217 which overlooked the air-conditioning units. The room is small and the bed frame is dangerous to maneuver around. It scratched my leg. Went down to the front desk and the ladies there were very nice and switched us to a room that was more adequate and our stay went good from there on. Great front desk staff.

The location was excellent. It was just a matter of crossing the boardwalk and the beach was right there. The room was clean and relatively quiet. There were beach chairs and a small beach umbrella in the room.

The room was an oceanfront king bed room. The room was facing the ocean but the windows were pretty small. And, of course, they didn’t open which I’m sure was for safety and liability reasons. We did not have a balcony, which really would have been nice. The bathroom was tiny and the water pressure in the shower was nonexistent. The bed was stiff and uncomfortable. I imagine they are on the old side. We had trouble getting our room safe to work… twice. We did call the front desk and someone came up immediately. The touch lamps on the bedside table were loose in the socket so we also called in that. The refrigerator was fine but didn’t have a freezer section. The floor got sandy pretty quickly after going to the beach. The room itself was very small. There were no vending machines on the property which was a little inconvenient.

It was super clean the minute you walked in the lobby. The women at the front desk were super friendly.

The main reason to stay here is the location. It is directly on the Hollywood Beach boardwalk. You are literally a few steps from the front door to the beach. Also there are dozens of restaurants and shops within walking distance. It is a noisy lively area, so not for one who wants a quiet retreat.

The Hotel Sheldon is an old building and very "tired" It has been completely renovated and so it is in much better shape than when we stayed there a decade ago. It is clean and convenient. We stayed in a balcony room which is amazing because of the view..you can sit and enjoy a view of the beach/ocean/ and all that is going on down on the boardwalk. The bathroom is tiny tiny..which might not bother many. It made everything a bit more difficult since there is literally no counter to place toiletries on, etc. definitely far from luxury, but you can't fault the location if that is where you want to be!

I loved everything about the property, having the tent towels and beach chairs was a great idea. We had an issue with the tv the first night and the next day staff made sure our issue was fixed. Super friendly super sweet.

I didn’t like parking wasn’t included in the resort fee. 34$ for parking when you’re staying at the resort is a little pricey

My truck was almost towed from the parking lot while checking In (about 5 minutes ) Groups of people hanging out outside after midnight being loud and obnoxious Room walls could hear everything in the hallway and next rooms Light came in super bright through all curtains and front door Bathroom only able to have 1 person in it at a time it was tiny For the price and the pics online I expected much better than what we got !

Updated and great value , right across from beach

There were tents blocking the ocean view last weekend that was disappointing. We were only there for one night but it was some sort of event that hand large white tents and loud music all day. Would’ve bee nice to know this before paying extra for ocean view
