Amazing stay and property is very amazing hotel

It was so beautiful. I love the whole hotel especially the gym room.

The only real problem was that the power went off during the night. This is not uncommon in Botswana. But their generator at the hotel did not come on for some reason. So we were without power the rest of the night, and the emergency light that came on automatically was shining in our eyes while we tried to sleep. They were still without power the next morning, so we had no water for showers and no breakfast. I understand that the power off was not their fault, but the generator not working was.

I last stayed at this hotel 10 years ago. It has significantly deteriorated since then. The shower handle didn't work. The breakfast had good selection, but highly average. We were informed at checkin that if I didn't use the black facecloth for make up removal, I would be fined (They've clearly had bad experiences before) but it felt threatening, before you've gotten to your room, and not something you would expect from a 5 star hotel. But the most bizarre thing was (I've never EVER seen this in ANY kind of hotel) that we were provided what looked like a potty training puppy pad as well as a black towel on the bed. What kind of things are being done on these beds that requires an absorbent patch and dark towel? It felt very seedy.

Very comfortable rooms, great food at the restaurant, nice views from the balcony, two pools, spacious parking, quiet place.

I was moved every night of my stay as the room were not up to standard at all. room and bathroom smelling of paint, room door not locking, safe not working at all, TV's not working. I was also asked to move rooms to accommodate guess, as they had now put me in the wrong room after moving me 4 times already. not the best experience.

The room was exceptionally clean, warm and smelled amazing. I really appreciated how accommodating the staff were when I requested a room change, as they were able to assist me despite the request being made upon arrival. The rooms are well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable short stay and the staff throughout the property were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating.

The food was just okay, although I found the pastries disappointing and they did not taste particularly fresh, the glasses used for drinking juice and water smelled like they had been washed in the same water as the pot used to make egg’s but The biggest issue for me was the shower. After showering, a significant amount of water floods onto the bathroom floor and the small towel provided is not sufficient to absorb it. This meant having to physically wring out the wet towel and wipe the floor again. For a property at this price point, I think a more practical solution should be considered. The WiFi was also extremely slow and the connectivity was poor. As I needed to work during my stay, this was particularly disappointing and I ultimately had to rely on my personal data. For a property of this standard, I would expect a much more reliable internet connection.

Bathroom had both shower and bathtub, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly.

Only cold breakfast was available, we had to order and pay for hot breakfast. I don’t think they should say breakfast is included in the package.

The buffet breakfast was a bit on the cool side as people kept leaving the lids open There was plenty of choice and a good selection on the cold buffet This is obviously not the fault of the staff who kept having to close them once they noticed

The bed was comfortable. Food was well prepared and served. Super friendly staff. The ladies at the spa upstairs, keep up the smiles and good work.

The balcony surface and chair are covered in dust, and they seem not to have been cleaned in a while. The stay per night is a bit expensive.

No wellcome drink for five star hotel.please make it 4. Apparently heated swimming pool has been working for a while.i went there so i can spent time swimming.i could have chosen a cheaper hotel just for sleeping and breakfast

The royalty and the ambience we experienced at the property was out of this world, the rooms, the interior design of the building, woow!!

Their à la carte meals was boring as we are used to buffet meals, and the radius from Sun City is a little bit far

The propert itself and location were amazing. Coffee Machine was great. The food was also great.

The bathroom in one of our rooms was smelling so badly I had to ask for the staff to thoroughly clean it the next day with drain cleaner or something. It was much better after that.

The restaurant stuff members where beyond rude.😭😭 We arrived at the restaurant and no one gave us attention, I had to stand up 3 times to ask for Menus💔 from 3 different stuff members and we got no help, instead we where told they have a matric dance that day and wont be able to help us. We had to drive OUT at night and go look for food and if they knew they wouldn't be able to service the hotel guests why allow us to book in the first place.😔 We found that very disappointing and rude of the restaurant stuff.

It was beautiful, quite and clean

I had asked for a cot. It was not as clean as you’d expect it to be. I felt uncomfortable placing my baby there we were ended up sleeping with him.

The place is nice, comfortable bed, beautiful interior in the bedroom, a nice view from the bedroom and of course the food. The bathroom was juss beautiful we loved it

Well the Pool wasn't working told us they are fixing it but until we checked out it was out of service, the indoor Pool by the Gym area had no lights for late night swimming and wasn't really clean so we skipped it. For air circulation they open the doors in the lounges and with that birds fly in then the stuff doesn't clean the birds shit of the couches... That wasn't nice.

The hotel is amazing. Friendly staff, great facilities and amenities. The room was stunning and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast and dinner were too good.

Avoid this hotel. Our stay at the Royal Marang Hotel was extremely disappointing and far below what you would expect from a supposed 4-star property. The first room we were given had no hot water. After more than 1.5 hours of waiting and several staff members checking the issue, we were forced to move to another room located on the opposite side of the hotel, carrying all our luggage again. The second room had a strong chemical smell (similar to eucalyptus/petroleum) that made the room almost unbearable. It clearly seemed that some cleaning product had been used just before our arrival — which is unacceptable, especially considering that I am pregnant and such products should not be used in occupied rooms. We had to move a third time. In the last room, there were no proper blackout curtains, so daylight came through the entire night. This level of service and room quality is completely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 4 stars. Very disappointing experience.

The spa treatment was great. Very relaxing and good service and product offering. The breakfast buffet was also good.

The room service was poor and a struggle to get through. Even when calls were answered they did not follow through on requests or orders.

Service during breakfast can improve a lot. There was no offer for tea / coffee. Our used cutlery and crockery were not removed, so we had to place them on the vacant table. The balacony was not clean.

Some things needed to be replaced. The door handle was very tough to open and the bin in our bathroom was broken.
