Location was great, walking distance to Pruneyard, Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful even accommodated early check in 😊
Spacious rooms. Quiet. Receptionist was welcoming
Tired. Long winding hallways. Lobby was drab. Parking was a problem (inadequate capacity).
I used to stay here a lot for work probably over 10 years ago now. After finding out our usual place was booked up for our night back in SJC, I convinced my coworker to stay here because I know the guys that come into town from India like this place although I try to convince them to stay at the Courtyard with the rest of us. The woman at the front desk was super nice to us and gave us cookies during our check-in. She was also super nice to my coworker who was making some book recommendations to her after we asked her about the hot tub location and usage. She pointed us to the hot tub and said it would be open until 10PM. We both tried to activate the bubble timer, but it did not seem to be doing anything. You could tell the timer was working because it was ticking away, but the blower that it was powering didn’t work at all. We stayed in the hot tub for a bit and were joined by two other adult females whom we did not know but they were friendly enough and appeared to be totally sober. After about 5 minutes later, a gentlemen in uniform appears and tells us we need to leave the pool area because it is closed and he needed to lock up the area. My coworker explained to the gentleman that the front desk receptionist said we were allowed to use the pool and the gentleman started getting really angry with us saying that he is the maintenance person for the area and that the pool is now closed. We said okay and then looked at each other for about 20 seconds while we decided silently who would be the first to get out first and then he asked us if we are going to get moving or not because he urgently needed to close the pool. There must have been some misunderstanding about the closure time being 10PM and not any later than that since the time can go by quickly in the hot tub even without it being a Time Machine. The two women appeared to be even more confused about the situation than my coworker since the employee didn’t do a good job of explaining why he was kicking us out. I got out first to dry off with a towel while the others followed. This male worker waited impatiently for everyone else to get out and only then went to the other end of the pool while we dried and gathered our items to leave. On the way out I informed the maintenance worker about the non-functioning bubble timer and he said he would have someone looking into it in the morning. When we got into the lobby, we checked the clock and it was 10:04 so we had already inconvenienced the gentleman from leaving his post by 4 minutes. I think overall the experience wouldn’t have been so negative had this hotel worker not been so openly hostile from the beginning to the guests. Maybe he was just having a bad day and us getting out of there was the last thing that kept him from going home, or maybe he is used to dealing with drunk or belligerent people. I just didn’t see the point in taking it out on guest that weren’t being rowdy or exhibiting obnoxious behavior. Really strange behavior and experience for me to observe a West Coast hotel to be openly pushy like that. All the more reason to encourage my coworkers to stay at the Courtyard with me to next time around! Even the Residence Inn staff is not like this and that is a super cheap (but older) property to stay at. I would have given this a 1-star experience, but the woman at the front desk was super, super nice to us! Maybe the other maintenance employee can learn more about the concept of hospitality from her?
Close to restaurants. Comfortable beds.
Parking was hard to come by, especially late at night.
Great location, friendly staff, confortable room, free cookies.
No free drinking water. Honestly I'd prefer 2 bottles of drinking water over the free cookies.
The hotel was clean and conveniently located, clean and the staff was friendly.
The lightng in the hotel room was terrible. I had to work at the desk where there was no light that could shine on my work space. The blinds didn't go up at the window. The hotel was over priced if you ask me. Food was way overpriced. And for the price we paid for the hotel, we should have received a normal continental breakfast; free. They had a hot breakfast for 25 each a contintental breakfast for 15 each included only cold cereal yogurt fruit and juice or water. They had a menu meal way overpriced and was just ok.
Everything
Nothing
The cleanliness and staff were nice.
No complimentary water.
The mattresses were hard, uncomfortable.
The property itself was nice
How dirty the bathroom tub was, the previous people shaved in the bathtub and they’re shavings were still on the walls and the floor. And how they don’t change the pull out bed cushion and bedding each time the room is cleaned. The cushion and bedding had food and blood on it and food crumbs. My car also was toilet papered out side in there parking lot.
He was clean but, smelled very strongly of cleaners.
Room smelled strongly a bleach and cleaners. Window only opened 4 inches to air out and bathroom vent fan only ran with movement.
Awesome locationI’m
Everything was great
na
everything fine
location was convenient
The room was directly overlooking a very loud party, and the noise continued late into the night, including cleanup afterward. I explained to staff that my 89-year-old grandmother has heart problems and needed rest, but nothing was done to help. Unfortunately, neither she nor my aunt were able to sleep comfortably.
convenient
limited parking
Clean, staff was very helpful & kind
Location at the pruneyard, classic look, clean and very appealing surroundings.
I liked my stay and would highly recommend it.
Location and staff
Rooms and layout
Great location! Lots of food and shopping! Centrally located.
Noise was an issue both from the room above and the pool area below our window. Staff responded quickly when asked if they would ask loud pool guests to leave at 10 pm.
Staff very professional & helpful.
They gave me a room that was not just furthest from the lobby but on the ground floor facing the parking lot with lights and people walking in front if my window so I have to keep the shade down. It’s also in front of the ice machine with people getting ice 24/7. Maybe because I’m a woman staying alone? Probably. But I am an author and am speaking g in front of a whole crowd tonight and I will warn everyone that this hotel is not woman friendly. They wouldn’t change my room upon check-in and today I woke up sick do I can’t imagine packing up if another room becomes available. STAY AWAY!
Comfy bed
Outlets in our bathroom didn’t work and the sliding bathroom door was broken. Loud hallway noise children running up and down
Clean rooms & carpet, sound proof walls, great large size smart TV, great HVAC and bath ventilation. Great front desk staff, unlocked clean pool and hot tub spa.
Maintenance Supervision inspections were below expectations. Room 276: Hanging lamp bulb fell out, shower door track dragging, loose set screws loose on wall mountings, insufficient lighting over desk.
Good location with onsite parking, though spaces very limited
Close to many restaurants. Close to our needs.
Noisy. Could hear other guests in hallway and nearby rooms. Breakfast was not included $15 for continental...
This hotel is in a great location and their customer service is impeccable. The food was amazing as well you must stay here!
Great location and staff was nice
The bedding comforters were dirty and the room smelled old and musty.
Joseph at the Front desk was above and beyond helpful. He has excellent communication skills, as well as being friendly and efficient. Also, I LOVE that breakfast was included!
I didn’t care for the set of the dining room/bar area in the evening. It was too tucked away and isolated from the lobby. No visual sight lines. I checked it out and decided I would not be comfortable as a woman dining alone in the space. It was fine for breakfast.
The room was a bit too warm, so I didn't sleep as well as I had hoped.
didn't eat breakfast
doesn't need improvement
Was nice and clean
Did not have breakfast included, have to pay separate for it
Location, room was comfortable and clean, and, of course, the chocolate chip cookies were delicious!
Leuk hotel in het winkelcentrum. Lekker bed ruime kamer.
Niet zoveel te doen in deze plaats.
Staff came to the room to help get the football game on the TV and refused a tip!!!!!
Nothing.
The breakfast was poor quality and the price wasn't explained. I ate 2 sausages and a yogurt which gave me an upset stomach all day and it cost $25.00. For the price of the room breakfast should be included. Parking was a joke and I felt very unsafe.
Conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. Walking distance to downtown Campbell.
I was in room 228 and at 5am the next morning it was loud. Not sure why but I could hear staff and lots of noise. I couldn’t fall back to sleep and had a meeting by 8am
Parqueadero
El depósito fue muy alto, más que el hospedaje y su devolución dura entre 5 a 7 días
We were told breakfast was not i clouded
Staff at the front that checked us in
Nice location not far from freeway. Close to shops/stores. Quiet & clean. Friendly staff
The booking included breakfast, but they don't have a great system to catch this. So I was presented w/a bill. I almost wonder if it is due to me doing the reservation through Booking.com as this has happened with another booking.
Clean room
breakfast not included
It was comfortable, clean and in a great location. A lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Staff could have been a little friendly.
The hotel was nice, I booked 2 rooms with 1 king and 1 pullout couch that were adjoining. On the description it said adjoining allowed. I get there check in and went to the rooms and I had a 2 queen room and a room with just a king. I needed 4 beds and they had no rollaways so I had to get a 3rd room, though discounted I still paid for the 3rd room.
Highly satisfied. I came in for a concert at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga and while my stay was relatively short, I found the hotel to be delightful. Friendly staff, clean room (and hotel in general), and plenty of great eating establishments just around the corner. I found the area to be pleasant and quiet. Bonus: If you like vinyl and CDs, literally across the street there is a totally cool record store that you are guaranteed to love.
We were totally at home here. Enjoyed downtown Campbell nearby and easy parking.
Nice room with good facilities
Very nice place.
Clean room but the mattress is soft
Drunken people from wedding party banging on your door at 2 am. Happened two nights in a row. Called from desk and first time no one answered. Took 30 mins for the hotel to stop the noise and get control of the situation. Serious security issues. Complained to hotel manager and they asked if I wanted to check out early. No attempt to compensate in any way. No room key needed for elevator use. Rooms are acceptable 3 1/2 star. Would never stay here again. I travel globally 150,000 miles per year and seldom write reviews but feel compelled to make others aware of how poorly this hotel managed. Will stay some where else next time!
The hotel is clean, well located and the service was good. My only complaint is that the breakfast, which was a little more than a continental breakfast, was not complimentary, like so many other hotels of the same type. We were planning on having breakfast elsewhere with our kids, so we only had coffee and a couple hard boiled eggs, thinking it was complimentary. They charged us $25/pp. Had we known, we would’ve not eaten any of it. The other thing that was off-putting was that our room was ready at 11:30, but they wanted to charge us a fee of $25 to check-in early, even though noon was the regular check-in time.
Front desk unfriendly
Hotel located in the Pruneyard and has so many food options. Walkable to restaurants and shopping.
The staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home! The cookies were the best every night, always warm! We loved being walking distance to so many good restaurants as well.
Clean and staff were friendly
We had no idea until it was too late as drapes were closed that our window was filthy dirty with bird poop on glass and view of pool equipment and junk.

The hotel was very clean and nice. The only thing that could be improved is the parking situation.
Very friendly and helpful staff
nothing
It was nice
I enjoyed how family friendly it was. I was not able to enjoy the pool that much because it was dirty at times.
I recently stayed at this property for work. This was my 3rd stay at this DoubleTree in the past 6 weeks for work and I really enjoyed it until this last visit. I had my DND sign up the first two nights but decided I wanted my room to be freshened up so I took it down that morning and headed out for the day. Around 4:30 I return from work. I noticed a hotel employee with a towel hamper down on the far end of the hallway, completely normal, didn’t think anything of it. I entered my room and my room hadn’t been touched. Honestly, not a huge deal to me but I was a little disappointed. As soon as I got to my room I went to use the bathroom and within 30 seconds of sitting on the toilet I hear a knock. I shouted “just a minute”. Not even like 10 seconds later the person tried to barge into my room. THANK GOD I had the door latch on. I hurry and finish and go to the door. It was the employee that was down the hall asking if I wanted any new towels or had any trash. So many red flags!!! He didn’t have a housekeeping cart. He saw me walk down the hall and enter my room, so he knew someone was in there. No need to barge in. He gave ZERO time to wait for a response. Despite that; I gave him one and he still ignored it. Solo female traveller in business casual attire. What’s the first thing most people do when they get home from work? Change clothes. What are the odds that housekeeping finally comes around right when I get back? This whole thing left me feeling super uneasy. It seemed very intentional and targeted on his part. I don’t even want to think about what would have happened if I didn’t have the latch on the door. I did go downstairs and told the front desk about what happened. She was super apologetic and listened to everything I had to say. After having me describe the man she tells me this isn’t the first time it’s happened!!!!!! She told me she was going to report it to the housekeeping manager as well as the GM and asked if I wanted a follow up call, which I did. It’s been 3 business days and I’ve heard nothing. I have to do overnights in this area for work about once a week now but I’m definitely going to think twice before staying here again, which is really unfortunate because I loved the area.
The staff was exceptional! Thank you!
Nice stay. Clean, relatively quiet. Pruneyard location provides a nice place to walk. Comfortable bedding. Walk in shower provides enough room to move around. Toilet placement bangs in to the door when you open it. Overall good place, would stay again. Friendly front staff.
